As a side note, criticism would be appreciated along the way. It's been awhile since I've done one of these and I'm a tad rusty.

THE INFO.

Name: Toshira, Kira

Appearance:
To say that Kira was an average looking shinobi would be an understatement. Unwrapped; Kira's hair flows long down to his backside, shining glossy against light against it. Typically his hair is tied up into a long ponytail, angled upwards towards the sky. The hair itself is tied with a elastic type of device for ease of taking on and off. The front of his hair is typically held firmly back in place on his head by his forehead protector, but falls flat over his right eye without it.

Two red orbs consist of his eyes; a dull shade of crimson that speak with a certain type of emptiness while simultaneously being able to become very active and expressive to Kira's typical jolly attitude. Above his eyes are his eyebrows which despite the ruggedness of the ninja lifestyle seem to be rather slim and groomed compared to many of his fellow shinobi. Between his eyes lies nose. Facing straight forward without a hint of deviation, Kira's nose seems to be a marker point for his entire face, drawing a pseudo line for the symmetry of his facial features. Below lies Kira's mouth. Despite the gentleness of the rest of his face, Kira's mouth gives insight to his nature, seemingly stuck in a grin. As if he were constantly being told a joke that only he understood. Kira's round chin seems to be the framework for the rest of his face, the roundness of it giving people a grin of the childishness look of it.

Being rather tall for his age Kira has had the terrible problem of trying to find clothes that would actually fit him. Standing at the height of six foot two, most of his height comes from his long legs that could aptly be described as "going on for days." His legs while considered scrawny are well toned and possibly the strongest muscles Kira has in his body. His stomach is also rather toned, being a typical six pack style of muscular structure. Kira's arms are much in the same line as his legs, being scrawny at first glance but being toned and ready for action. Whether that action is fighting an enemy shinobi or doing household chores for Granny X or Grandpa Y is irrelevant.

Kira's typical choice of clothing is entirely dependent on the season that is currently around. While a sensible person, he has a strong sense of fashion that he prefers to other normal types of attire. On the topic of normal attire, in a traditional setting such as working missions for Kumogakure or any time requiring him to represent his village he wears a set of clothing that is rather reserved compared to his normal tastes. Wearing a set of dark grey breeches that open loosely around his shins, a close fitting sleeveless grey shirt emblazoned with a maroon Kumogakure symbol, a pair of black gloves reaching up to his elbows studded at the knuckles, and finally a pair of closed toed shoes with reinforced soles for travel comfort and stability.

In his casual time Kira wears something more fashionable (At least in his mind) than what he considers to be his "uniform." His jacket is colored a flat yellow color and edged in a much more vibrant gold. Made of what Kira refers to as "economy silk" the jacket is soft to the touch and quite good to nuzzle. The jacket itself reaches only down to the top of his ribs and is the only piece of clothing that he wears on his torso. His pants are a spacious affair, made of the same material as his jacket and with the same color scheme. The pants taper off the puffiness of themselves at the ankles. The shoes themselves are a pair of black slippers made more for comfort rather than functionality or fashion sense.

In cases that require Kira to maintain a low image, he wears something more reserved than his "work attire." Wearing a white cotton shirt with a neck reaching below his adams apple. On top of the shirt he wears a black Zhongshan jacket made of the same "economy silk" his other outfit is made out of. Together with the other two is a set of black slacks that are immaculately pressed to fit the prim and proper look he is trying to achieve. To top off this outfit he wears a pair of traveling shoes, heavy soled for excessive travel.

Personality:
Growing up in a family of relative normality there was nothing exactly driving Kira to succeed in the world that he was born into. Being brought up by supportive parents the world was basically Kira's oyster to choose what he wanted to do. Deciding to become a shinobi was based on the competitive nature brought on by growing up with two older brothers. At the core of his personality, Kira loves to compete with people. Whether it is an arm wrestling contest or who can draw the cutest kitty cat, Kira will take any challenge. This trait could be considered either a blessing or a curse, as it has its ups and downs. This competitive edge gives Kira the "it" factor of wanting to perform better than others. While on the opposite end it also gives him an air of cockiness that while serves well in a competitive world, does him no good in work that requires him to work alongside others.

While his driving force is to perform better than others. Kira loves interaction with people almost as much as competing with them. Kira could be considered a social creature, feeling lost without the interaction of people, it being nearly a fatal fear to be isolated from contact with another human being. While this isn't a problem in his current life living with family and friends, it is a secret horror that lurks at the veil of his consciousness, with the anxiety of being left alone able to overwhelm him and leave him weeping.

When Kira says he will achieve something, it's not just words to him, it's a bond he's forming. Taking his promises seriously, breaking ones promise is a mortal sin to Kira; believing that his word is law and he needs to follow what he says to the letter. This type of straightforward logic draws a simple binary checklist for his mind, either something is right or it is wrong. He has either completed his task, or failed completely. Because Kira sees no middle ground. But on a lighter note Kira is known to rejoice in levity, believing that if something can be laughed at, then it probably should. This type of belief has led to many a awkward situation with vulgar references to breastular regions being directed at someone’s grandmother. But life is nothing but a series of experiences to be had, and that's something Kira embodies fully.

While not exactly being the biggest of fashion fanatics, Kira strongly defends his sense of style, believing that everything that a person does must be done to express who they are. In this regard he uses his fashion as a way to break the ice with people who he doesn't know, with his casual attire being more fitting for someone living in the deserts of Sunagakure than the mountains of Kumogakure. For him this is just normal, as people should strive to break away from the crowd right. What better way than to have one's nipples at full attention at all times.

Nindō: A person should live life by their word. For ones word should strong as oak; rooted deep to the core, unyielding to the pressures of the wind threatening to take hold of it. Because one's word is oak, and it will be strong.

Combat Style: If one were to try and classify how Kira fights, the closest comparison would be to that of a true ninja. Believing that one should try to stay hidden and achieve ones goals with most people not even knowing you are there. Because of this, Kira prefers to use his blade to deal with most foes quickly and quietly, and using genjutsu to trick people into avoiding combat when necessary. While being a cautious man on a mission, Kira's competitive nature has also been known to be a flaw in his combat style. The thought that of being able to finish off a battle quickly is an excellent idea in most battle settings, but Kira prefers to draw out his opponent to the fullest extent of their ability if the situation allows it; wanting to prove above all else that he is better than his opponent, if only to himself. This leads to Kira doing brash things like stopping a winning blow if a match seems promising, or even allowing an opponent to recuperate if need be.

THE BACKGROUND.

History: Where does life truly begin. Memories form quickly and the first thing Kira remembers is seeing the doctors determined face as Kira was pulled from his mother. Growing up in relative normality there was nothing really that could constitute a dramatic tale that made Kira decide to live the life he currently does. Kira grew up with two older brothers, the eldest ten years older than him and the middle child five years older than him. Because of his parents laid back attitude to parenting it fell to his older brothers to provide themselves to be role models for the young child.

At the age of five Kira would spend most of his time lazing around at home, trying to find something to spend his time with. His eldest brother was already a Chūnin and dedicated most of his time to his village in order to further himself. That left his middle brother to take care of him and teach him various things that brothers are meant to. While this did not include the common sense that a parent would expect a brother to teach, his brother Jiyū had different plans. Looking up to his elder brother Kira would do anything that would please him. And for the most part that involved pranking Jiyū's friends. While obviously mischievous and wrong the pranks did teach Kira the value of staying silent and hidden, a trait that obviously guided him for his coming years.

Skipping forward to the age of ten, Kira has decided that he wants to be just like his eldest brother and become a ninja. Enrolling in the academy Kira ate up every lesson that the instructors brought forth. It was a whole new world for Kira, something new and magical that he wanted to get to the very top of. This mindset worked very well for him in his time at the academy, praised for his enthusiasm and liked well by his fellow students, his time at the academy was an extremely pleasant experience for Kira. It took roughly two years for Kira to complete the courses presented by the academy and achieve the rank of genin. As if the universe was listening to this fairy tale, a tragedy struck to remind the newly christened genin that the ninja world is a harsh one.

Returning home with his headband freshly tied to his head, Kira had never felt so proud. But entering his family home there was an eerie feeling in the air. His parents stood in the front room, simply looking down at the ground unmoving. Concerned for his family he tried to show off his new headband to his parents. The sight of the headband caused his parents to collapse sobbing. Concerned and scared for what was wrong with his parents it was the duty of his brother Jiyū to tell him what had happened. His eldest brother had been killed during a patrol mission around the outskirts of Lightning Country. No details were known about his killer, with the only wound being a single clean stab through his clavicle. Not knowing what to do or think, Kira's body didn't know how to deal with the grief being presented to him. So it shut down. One year later Kira awoke in his family home, lying down in his bed with his mother's concerned hand cradling his own. Looking into his mother’s eyes he knew that he had to achieve the most with his life, trying to honor the memory of his brother. Trying to lean up but not able to, Kira declared that he will train hard enough to become a ninja once more and do his family proud. Despite his enthusiasm, a tear rolled down his mother’s face.

A year passed and Kira is now fourteen. Having undergone physical therapy to recover his diminished body, Kira confidently puts his headband on for the first time in two years. The world proved itself to be magical once more in Kira's eyes. He was able to bring himself back from the brink of the abyss and prove himself stronger for it. Reporting to his assigned team, Kira brought forth the same enthusiasm that had gained him so much favor growing up. Getting along with his team proved easy, but his competitive edge proved to be quite annoying to the others most of the time. But that didn't matter, because Kira would grow, and bring his friends along with him on the journey to greatness.

Roleplay Sample: The sun is shining brightly against Kira's opening eyes. Everything seems to be in a blur and Kira can't quite tell exactly where he is at. Moving his head, Kira is now painfully aware that he had a pounding headache. "What the hell happened to me?" the words try to pass through Kira's lips but only succeed to echo in his head. There is sensation on his hand, but he can't quite tell exactly what it is. Pressure envelops his hand and he experiences a flashback of being sick, being comforted by his mother. And then the pressure is so very obvious to Kira. His mother is holding his hand.

"But why the hell do I need comforting?" The thought slips out of his mind just as quickly as it had appeared. Looking up at his mother, Kira sees her in a light that he's never seen before. Complete emotion. No mask put up, no wall to hide behind. His mother was simply acting human. She is looking down at the ground, her hair a frazzled mess and her other hand holding a handful of crumpled "tissue." Seeing his mother in such a disheveled state sends Kira into a panic that can only be expressed by his now darting eyes. "What the hell happened to me!? I have to try and retrace the last thing I remember." Suddenly a new figure enters the room. Standing solitary over his mother is a looming figure that he doesn't quite recognize. Clearly a man, his face is contorted into one of silent agony. The figure puts a reassuring arm on his mother’s shoulder and a primal instinct surfaces. "Get away from my mother! Can't you tell that she's suffering?"

His mother drops the "tissues" from her hand and puts her hand on top of the one on her shoulder. Kira just can't quite understand what is going on. But then the image is clear. Kira sees a picture of a family. They all seem quite happy, smiling faces all staring back at him. Three boys and a mother and father. Kira now knows that the person looming over his mother is his father. "Why is my family in such distress damnit? Did I do something wrong?" A million and one thoughts flow through Kira's mind, but one lands at the base of his mind. "What if I'm dead? What if this is what my life is going to be for now on." The thought sends a chill down Kira's spine, but the possibility of it being true is truly terrifying.

His parents stare sadly into each other’s eyes when Kira sees another figure appear. The person seems to be half there, seeming to be translucent in the space to his mother’s right. The figure is looking directly into Kira's eyes, with a warm smile on its face. "Well that's it...I'm officially dead. Well this just sucks." The figure shakes its head and points to something on the table. Kira turns his head with a painful jerk to see something rectangular on the table. A plate shining on the front of it. He recognizes it as a headband for the village of the clouds. And suddenly Kira remembers all of it.

The figure becomes crystal clear and he realizes he is staring at the figure of his deceased brother. The translucent figure gives a smile and thumbs up and fades out of existence. Kira's eyes are now wide open, staring deep into his mothers. A smile forms on his face as he tries to lift himself up to no avail. His mother squeezes his hand much harder than before and Kira tries to speak once more. On his first go, only a dry breath comes out. But after being given a sip of some water Kira is able to speak. "I'm going to become a ninja mom. I'm going to make our entire family proud!"

His mother smiles at her boy, a silent tear rolling down her face.

Everything seems pretty easy on here. Really dig your Nindo. I noticed in your Kumo Techniques you have two Taijutsu (one of which (Modoru Kikkā) is missing the top parts of the jutsu) despite not having Taijutsu as a specialty. So they should probably be removed.

Your origin needs to be the land you were born in, not the village. Land of Lightning instead of Village hidden in clouds. Simple change there.
You're not allowed to use jutsu outside of your specs at all while you're a genin level ninja. You have a D rank taijutsu on there that should not be there, as such. Please remove that, thanks.

Just noticed this, but you don't have elemental affinities, you only have "weaponry affinities."
Add that in if you're planning on having elements.

Took away the elemental affinities since I felt no need for them. Might hamstring me in the future but for now, I don't plan on using elemental ninjutsu.

It would not just be elemental ninjutsu, but elemental weapon attacks, or anything of the sort. However, if you dont need those elements, and your fine without them, I am obliged to say that this app is fine by my standards.
