[Mission] Guard's Lunches Vide

Arimi sat cross legged on his bedroom floor. He gently massaged his mind as he sat there, not moving. Deep breathes in and out were the only obvious sign that he was still alive at all. Today was his first mission, the actual start to his career as a Shinobi. He kept telling himself to be excited, but it just wasn't working. He was so absorbed in the fact that it was so simple and so basic that he really didn't need to do much at all. His mission was to bring some guards their lunch.

Arimi got up and walked to the other side of the room where the kitchen was placed. He figured he would make it a little more personal and interesting by making the Bentos himself. Arimi rolled up his long black sleeves to about mid elbow and began his work. He put the pure white rice into a pot and placed it on the stove. He then went to the sink and added some water to the rice pot. At first when he lit the stove it didn't catch and the match had burnt out. However, on the second try the stove catch fire and began to cook the rice. Hot steam soon filled the small room and fogged up the cold, wet windows. Arimi went to the farthest window from the kitchen and opened it. Today it was raining hard heavy drops of crystal clear water. Arimi sighed and then went back the kitchen. He opened the fridge and took out some small sardines. The rice was almost done so he figured now would be a good idea to cook some meat or fish. The smell of the frying sardines on the stove top floated around the room and out the window and into the streets of people. Nine sardines were now cooked and the rice was prepared.

Arimi got three bento boxes out of a cabinet. Three sardines in each bento and a large serving of rice. Though he wasn't a great cook, Arimi thought he did pretty well. He wraped each box in a plain black cloth and then into a bag. He slung the bag into his back and put his hat on. He turned the knob slowly and opened the door. The day was already soaked with the early mornings heavy rain, but the rain was dying down and now it was just fog. The fog wasn't thick , though it was noticeable. Arimi lowered his head and began to walk out the door and into the dismal day.

Arimi took small strides down the soaked street. He gently sloshed through puddles and small streams that had build up on the sides of the path. The day seemed bleak and boring to Arimi, but he didn't really mind. He was enjoying the fact that he got to help the people of his village, even if it was such a simply small task. This is how a shinobi should think, every mission is important in its own way. The fog was beginning to thicken right in front of Arimi's eyes. The white mist was frigged and unpleasant and caused most people to go back inside to their homes. Arimi didn't have such a luxury though, he had to keep trudging on. Arimi was wondering how long exactly these guards have been waiting and guarding the gates. He realized he should probably hurry up and get the lunches to the guards. He picked up his tempo and was at a jog down to the gates. A few turns and twists in the street later he arrived at the gates.

" Hello sirs, I brought you your lunches.", Arimi said as he approached the guards. The guards swiveled around to see Arimi. The guards were wet and tired, but looked glad that they now had food of any sort. Arimi slumped over and put the bag on the ground. He reached in and grabbed the bentos and handed one to each of the three guards. The first guard asked , "Whats in it?" Arimi replied,"Sardines and rice, I hope that OK." The guards all nodded and continued to eat their newly given food. They all seemed to enjoy the home made meal. Arimi smiled under his coat as they all said thank you. He turned and left without another word.
