Phyiscal Traits:
The Onikarasu have several very defining characteristics namely in their eyes and hair. Both being midnight black, their hair is often short and growing back and slick, often ending in sharp points. This gives the illusion that their foreheads are also unnaturally larger than most people. Their eyes the same black as their hair, it is almost impossible to notice their iris unless they are under close inspection.

In addition, due to a plague, each clan member has an affliction that cannot be removed through any medical means, but some can have their effects reduced through medicines. This can be anything from a bum leg, to occasional internal bleeding, to blindness, etc. This is decided upon character creation and cannot be changed.

Special Traits:

Upon reaching B rank, every Onikarasu member will be gifted with a familiar of their own creation. A demonic crow will spawn from them and its appearance will reflect their desires. The familiar will always follow it's master and cannot ever be further than 50m away. Should this distance be exceeded, the familiar will vanish and return to it's master's side.

As the familiar is part of the clan member, they are able to cast ninjutsu and genjutsu from the familiar as the origin point rather than themselves. This can only be done so long as the familiar is within either 10m of the master, or within perception range, so long as it does not pass the 50m barrier. Doing so still costs the same amount of chakra. However as a side effect, they feel any and all pain the familiar may feel including death should it be killed. If the familiar is killed, the master will be wracked with a crippling pain.

If a familiar is killed, it can be revived with a 1000 word post later. This requires its own thread and cannot be granted exp for completing.

Kekkei Genkai:

The Onikarasu posses the ability to control and create demonic crows. A demonic crow can be one generated by a jutsu, in which case it will be created of chakra and have similar properties to a shadow clone. In addition, the Onikarasu have the ability to subjugate the minds of real crows. A crow under the control of a Onikarasu nin will have it's eyes glow blood red, this actually gives off a minor level of luminescence and can be seen several feet away in the darkness. In addition, controlled crows can communicate with their master, making them great scouts.

History: The true history of the Onikarasu clan has been lost to history. What is known is that they likely originiated in the Land of Fire as in the northern most reaches of the country, the established their own small village. They however, did not join Konoha when the Shinobi villages were first created for unknown reasons. Instead they kept a policy of isolationism and lived alone hidden and safe for years. The only notes of their existence being the very rare occasions where members would journey from the villages for mercenary work. They never accepted money from these services, instead gathering seemingly random items such as plants, animals and various ores.

Recently however, the clan has made a formal alliance with Konohagakure. This is because a plague had recently ravaged their village, due to their isolationism they had no way to counteract the plague with medicine or doctors and were nearly wiped off the face of the earth. The few survivors were forced to make a decision, break their longest standing tradition and join with a village, or remain and die. Most agreed to the alliance and were given sanctuary within Konoha's boundaries. However, some did not agree and left on their own, wanting to decide their own fates. As it is now, very few of the Onikarasu remain, but those that live are most certainly the most tenacious of the clan. Even with the remnants of the plague wracking their bodies, their will to live drives them ever forward.
