Appearance: Shisaku is a fair skinned average height male. He stands at five feet eight inches and weighs a little over one-hundred at twenty pounds. There are no visible scars on his body, as most of them are covered by his clothing. He keeps his red hair combed and straight, with a few spiky spots wherever gravity takes them. Shisaku's eyes are mismatched colors - his right eye is the same red color of his hair, while his left eye is a golden yellow. At his current age, his body is beginning into develop into an adult. He has a six pack on his abdomen, which is covered by his clothing most of the time as he doesn't like to show off his muscles as they are still growing. Maybe once his muscles develop more he wouldn't mind showing off a little for the lovely women of Kiri.
Shisaku is generally always well dressed when in public. He wears a baby blue collared shirt with a white suit jacket over it that he keeps undone, and a black tie to top it all off. He wears white suit pants to match his jacket and pure black sneakers. On the occasional days it is colder in the village, he will wear white gloves over his hands and a thick black scarf that he uses to cover his neck, mouth, and nose.
His pajamas consist of a grey short sleeved t-shirt and black sweatpants. He is rarely seen in this outfit unless he knows nobody will see him. He normally wears his pajamas when he is going to sleep or when he is doing some late night training sessions by himself.

Personality: Shisaku is a young man, and isn't a kid anymore. He is a shinobi that has responsibilities that shouldn't be taken seriously - and he takes them beyond serious. When he is given an order, he will follow them without hesitation. He always respects his superiors and elders like anyone should, unless he is shown disrespect. He is a very stubborn individual and wants to make everybody love themselves. He is also a bit of a flirt with some of the kunoichi. He is not the type to keep to himself, he likes to interact with others and be happy-go-lucky in a sense.
Around females, he normally keeps his cool and doesn't tend to show off too much. He'd much rather be friends with them then in their pants. Overall, he shows respect to women and treats them as equals. If he sees a woman that gets intimate thoughts running through his head, he will approach her head on and flirt a little bit with her and try to get to know her. Even though he usually gets the same result - a slap in the face and just have to watch as they walk away from him.
On missions is when his serious side comes out completely. His only goal is to complete the mission safely and sometimes quickly. He doesn't joke around unless he is told to 'lighten up', which to him is an order. If he is participating in a mission with a squad he will make sure that they are safe - even at the cost of his own life if need be. Shisaku is very strict to the ninja way when it comes to missions and will always put his life on the line for the success of the mission.
All in all, he is an obedient and respectful shinobi that tries his hardest to be successful and a trustworthy friend to anybody.

Combat Style: Shisaku's combat style differs on each situation. While he generally does not enjoy getting into fights, he does love to fight when it can't be avoided. He also enjoy's the occasional spar every now and again. During a friendly spar, he will not go all out but he does try to win or get his opponent to forfeit. He tends to stay at long ranges, as taijutsu is not a specialty of his. The only time he will be up close to someone in a battle would be when he has the ability to get underneath his opponent using his doton style ninjutsu. While being at his mid-long range, he still tends to take the offense as he enjoys being part of the action, otherwise he would get bored really fast and lose interest - unless he is on a mission. Even though he has a tiny bit of knowledge of taijutsu, he chooses not to use it. That being said, he uses up a lot of chakra quickly as he enjoys doing barrages of attacks when in a spar. Generally, in a friendly spar, he is reckless and just wants to have fun.
During a mission, his attitude in battle changes. Rather than charging right in, he will stay back and analyze the situation and work on a strategy. Shisaku works more toward the defensive side of things when he is in a serious battle. He saves his chakra for when he really needs it, and will wait to see an opening before doing an attack, as he hates being wasteful when he doesn't have to be. All in all, on missions his combat style changes quite a bit than when he is just messing around with a friend or comrade in a spar.

Description: The ninja trains their skill in perception and analyzing their environment to more distinct levels. Most physical motions are identified and picked up by the ninja whether its a movement in a leaf or a change in temperature. This skill is handy when faced with Genjutsu as it allows the user to identify the fact they are in an illusion in less time and with less clues than one would otherwise need. However although they can sense the Genjutsu they must rely on other methods of breaking the spell. The ninja also becomes extremely perceptive and observant when it comes to people, being able to pick out mood changes or better understand character. In addition, this skill becomes useful in combat, where the Ninja grows to understand the patterns, habits and the 'rhythm' of the opponent over periods of time.

Description: A rare characteristic that one develops which allows them to understand and communicate with animals. Verbal exchange is common amongst those with this ability as the user will literally alter their voice to mimic the animal their speaking to as a way of communicating. More advanced people are even capable of feeling the emotions and pain of animals as well, although that requires physical contact. Animal Speaking is a very useful skill because they can manipulate animals to accomplish tasks, such as acting as scouts or gathering information they have already witnessed. Animals that serve as familiars to specific clans or people such as Kakichu Bugs, Inuzuaka dogs or summons, cannot be controlled due to their loyalty to their owners.
THE BACKGROUND.
History:
Birth - Start of Something New
On December 18th, one of the coldest days of that year, a woman had just given birth to a baby boy that would later be known as Shisaku. Unfortunately, shortly after his birth his mother passed away, leaving him only with his father. His father never re-married, and decided his sons name would be "Shisaku" - meaning 'experiment', as he was going to be his dads 'test subject' for the next few years.
Early Childhood - "What's a scalpel?"
His father was a "scientist", or at least, that's what he was told. Looking back he was more like a psychopath than anything. When he was eight, his dad took him into the basement for an experiment. "Daddy, what's that?" Shisaku said, pointing to the sharp object on the table. "That's a scalpel." His father replied quickly, going through glass jars containing liquid and a single body part in each jar. "What's a scalpel?" The curios child asked, not getting an answer. "Lay down, this will only take a minute." His father ordered, and him obeying. He laid down, while his father grabbed the scalpel and placed a jar with an eyeball in it next to his sons head.
Tears were streaming down Shisaku's golden yellow eye, the right side of his face bandaged up. "That wasn't so bad, was it?" His father asked his sobbing son. He sniffled before saying, "Daddy, I don't like scalpels. They hurt." His father hugged him and apologized. "I'm sorry son, I won't use one ever again." However, he did not keep true to his promise to his son, and was going to use one again. Possibly very soon.
Ninja Academy - A mismatched child
By the time Shisaku was thirteen, there was a small amount of flawless skin left on his chest. His father was constantly poking and prodding at his internal organs, and he didn't know why. Some of his organs weren't even the ones he was born with, but ones that his father had "found" around the village.
One day, while getting some groceries and supplies for his father in the village, he came across a building he hadn't seen anything like. "Ninja Academy" it read above the entrance. Shisaku dropped his bags and peered over the fence to see children throwing sharp projectiles at wooden dummies. A wide smiled formed on his face, and he entered the building and signed up for classes before returning home.
He had secretly been taking classes at the ninja academy for two years before his dad found out. Once his dad found out, he was told he wasn't allowed back there, but for the first time he disobeyed his dad orders - which only led to him being stabbed in the stomach as punishment. He told someone at the ninja academy what had happened when they asked, and his father was arrested for child cruelty and manslaughter - which explained where he "found" all those body parts to experiment on Shisaku with.
Genin - Living alone, but not alone
Shisaku graduated the ninja academy shortly after his father was arrested, and became a genin of Kirigakure. He's made friends with several villagers and other shinobi in the village, and doesn't feel alone or used anymore. He still has scars to remind him of his childhood, but he covers them up by dressing nicely and hiding them.
His life as a shinobi has only just begun, and he is excited as ever.

“A C-rank mission, huh?” The genin said to himself, reading over the scroll one last time before he made his leave. All he had to do was find an elder shinobi's daughter and ask her how her father was conned years back. Pretty simple sounding. However, she is known to respond violently when asked questions about her father and his tricks. Maybe it was a small challenge, somewhat worthy to be called a C-rank. But Ichi was not known to judge anything - especially a mission - this early on. He would have to wait to see what was in store when he found this wondering kunoichi. What he needed to decide is how to get her to talk. He wasn't one to hurt anybody that much, but this a female. Being the ‘sweet’ type of person, he didn't want to harm her. As much as he was against it, it was part of his mission. And he was going to succeed in the missions completion, hurting the kunoichi or not. It all depended on her reaction. And the genin had a feeling it was going to be a hostile one based on the mission description. With a small sigh, Ichi closed up the scroll and put it in his back pocket. It was about time to head out, and his first task to actually find this girl. Not really the type of excitement he was looking for, but a mission's a mission. “Guess I better go.” He mumbled, and slowly advanced forward to exit the village and complete his mission. There was no hurry, and despite his excitement he appeared calm - just like a shinobi should be. This was his fist mission as a Kirigakure shinobi, and he wasn't going to disappoint the Mizukage. Failure was not an option.

| Only thing I see right off the bat is that you have more than the 15 jutsu allowed on genin apps at their starting point. Other than that, your combat style is a little short, but I am not going to ask that you make it longer; looks fine to me. Anyway, great looking app, and I love the ninjutsu genjutsu in combination with the crystals. A very interesting choice! |

- Like you stated earlier, you only have 14 out of the 15 starting jutsu available to you. Are you sure you don't want one more before this is approved? You will have to pay for any additional jutsu after you're approved.
