Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Vide
PostSubject: Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] EmptyThu 09 Jan 2014, 5:07 am

It was truly miserable morning that found two of Konoha's most dangerous shinobi trudging down the main road for Hi no Kuni. While not raining there was enough intermittent drizzles that everything was wet and the stiff headwind carried the bite of the frigid arctic.  Oh and the "road" - little more than packed earth - the pair were following was just an ankle-deep sea of mud (or worse) thanks to an unseasonable torrential downpour the night before. All in all a perfect match for the mission that had dragged the two ninja out of their village to be little more than glorified babysitters.

It had been the sort of mission that never failed to leave tempers on all those assigned to it badly frayed. Escort a filthy rich heiress from the capital where she had been visiting relations back to the parents whose non-existent parenting skills created the nightmare of everyone who didn't make their livelihood selling gossip to papers that specialized in anything scandalous. Simple enough - especially when actual opposition never materialize - until you realized that said heiress's morals were as lose as a shirt five sizes too large and she had quite the stubborn streak. Which was a polite way of saying she was a randy bitch who would not take no for any reason and would stop at nothing to add two of Konoha's strongest ninja to the notches on her lipstick case. The fact that one of the targets of her incessant attempts at seduction was engaged - to the adoptive big sister of the other no less - hadn't stopped her at all. Since she was the client Toshiro's avenues of refusal had been limited and the result had been that in the past seven days he had gotten exactly four days of short sleep as he evaded her attentions as much as possible to avoid sticking a kunai in her throat when she went too far. What she had put Yoroi through he had no idea since every moment her attention hadn't been on him the snow-haired jounin did his best to ignore the little brat and if possible get some sort of rest. The stress of such a situation alone would have to caused any ninja to snap at the slightest provocation but that wasn't the only problem for the two shinobi. Oh no, as if some sadistic deities were using the two ninja as pawns Toshiro and Yoroi had a history of disliking each other. So much so that the pair had exchanged maybe half a dozen words during the whole mission, and even after the assignment from hell was done they had practically ignored each other on the way to Konoha. About the only thing the  two would have agreed on was setting as hard a pace as possible so that they could go separate ways as soon as possible.

Which was why Toshiro had felt like railing at the heavens when the weather finally took a turn - for the worse.  The first flash of lightning proved a harbinger as the heavens unleashed a true maelstrom that seemed centered on the pair as great spears of lightning tore the sky and the drizzle became a downpour. In the face of such an opponent it even a pair of mule-headed shinobi had to seek shelter. Shelter in this case consisting of the shell of a long-abandoned building that might have once been an inn or stable in better times. Right now however it was just four mostly intact walls and three-quarters of a roof that kept most of the rain off. It beat being little more than a soaked lightning rod in the middle of the mother of all lightning storms though and Toshiro had his stance on the issue of continuing on until at least the lightning stopped very clear. Namely dropping his travel kit against one wall and following it with his back in a silent "I'm not moving" gesture. If the other shinobi  wanted to risk being electrocuted by a random lightning bolt, well that was his decision. Personally the recently-acclaimed sennin hoped that brat (aka Yoroi) would stick with his track record of following his ego and try to prove he was a tough boy by going out in that storm. Maybe being struck with a lightning bolt would do what life to this point had failed at - getting Yoroi to start thinking like a human or at least a social animal instead of his "lone tiger" mentality.

Yoroi Kaguya

Why he had been chosen to go on a mission with Toshiro had been uncertain to him from the very start, but seeing as it was his job to do this kind of thing as a member of the protective service division and was ultimately for the good of the village, he could not simply refuse to go. Besides, he knew that Kimiko would appreciate it if he spent some time with the person that was supposed to become her husband soon. While he understood what she had in mind when she thought of such things, there were still various blanks in the things she had told him before. The woman they were supposed to take to her destination had been all over Toshiro, who seemed to not enjoy this one bit. It went without saying that all of this was very funny to the young Kaguya. Where some people would have taken some of the weight and nuisance off of the guy's shoulders, the entire ordeal had been far too amusing for him to make it stop. After the things he had said about him, he deserved to be put in his place, knowing that Toshiro was not allowed to lift as much as a finger to the woman if he valued his career as a shinobi of the leaf. Wearing a large, dome like straw hat paired with a long and thick black coat, a long, sleeveless black undershirt and a face mask, there had been little to nothing for the woman to show interest in, for the vast majority of his physique had been hidden by layers of clothing. Finding his own attire to be much more weather resistant than that of Toshiro, so Yoroi had managed to remain in a much more neutral state of mind.

During the entire trip, they had barely spoken to one another, which proved to him that what Kimiko had told him about him being sorry about the things he had said were not really as legitimate as she believed them to be. From the moment she had told him about it, there was but a small part of him that actually chose to believe it, and that was for his sister's sake. Ever since she had told him about it, he let go of his resentment towards the man, though he still kept his eyes and ears open for any kind of news about leaf shinobi becoming stronger and claiming higher ranks. As such, he had gotten word of Toshiro's advancement to the rank Yoroi held, Sennin. A lot of people seemed to have been impressed by this, though that was just because they lacked the strength to rise to the same level. In all honesty, Yoroi was not the least bit impressed by the fact that Toshiro had become a Sennin. Titles had never made much of an impression on Yoroi, seeing as he was far younger than both his sister and Toshiro, while the latter had only recently made the cut to become one. If nothing else, it just went to show that Yoroi was already superior to the man when he was younger, allowing even more room for him to grow stronger over the years. Those that knew Yoroi also knew that there was not a single cell in his body that wanted to stop getting stronger, it was simply not him to do such a thing.

By the time they were finally allowed to head back home, Toshiro and Yoroi had made a non-verbal agreement to get home as soon as possible so they could get rid of one another and go back to their daily lives. Pacing through the rain, he could not help but notice that the sky was growing darker and darker, almost as if nature itself wanted them to slow down and bond. Even if this was to be the case, Yoroi had never been one to obey nature, he had just made it his bitch when he fed and survived on everything he could grow, kill and drink. That had been his life for a very long time, making his existence as a shinobi a lot less hard than it would most certainly be for other people. Ignoring the rain for as long as possible, it was not long before he could hear a rumbling in the skies. Once the weather got even worse, Yoroi had learned that the lightning would never hit them when there were trees around to hit. After all, lightning had a tendency of striking the highest thing in the nearby area, and Yoroi was not even close to being as high as a tree, leading him to believe that they would be just fine. Despite this knowledge, Toshiro had chosen to enter an abandoned building to wait out the storm. During the years he had spent in the wilderness, the weather had not been this bad very often, but despite the pouring rain and the lightning that rolled through the clouds, there was nothing that could really hold him down once he felt like leaving.

Remaining close to the exit, he could not help but let out a deep sigh aimed towards the Sennin that had not prepared himself for the bad weather with some waterproof clothing that could keep him from getting both wet and cold. He could imagine how the weather would get him sick and keep him from doing his daily activities, something he could not risk. He was a Sennin, a Kaguya, and more importantly, he was Kimiko's brother, so he had to keep improving himself so that he could protect her and his village from those who would seek to harm it. It was the reason he had joined the protective service unit after all, though that was before Kimiko took over as the head of the division. He did not mind following orders from his sister, so maybe it was for the best that she had become the head instead of the person who had the place under control before her. When a bolt of lightning raced through the sky and illuminated the dark world outside of the building, he was starting to feel restless. Sitting in this dark building was starting to tick him off, he wanted to leave and go back home to take a shower. The thing Kimiko wanted them to do was obviously not happening, for neither one of the two was saying a word to the other. It gave him an idea, maybe he could provoke him into going outside so he could go home without feeling like he abandoned his soon to be relative in a storm.

"Who would have thought that a Sennin would be afraid of some bad weather. For someone who managed to hold out that long with that... woman, I would have figured you'd just walk on home without worries. Kimiko would probably have kept walking without being afraid.", Yoroi told him, more or less mocking him and bringing up his time with the overly annoying woman they were forced to escort. Though the expression on his face did not change, Toshiro would not have been able to see it through his mask anyway. Normally, Yoroi was entirely composed, but after the fun he had been having at the expense of the white haired Sennin, he just could not help but rubbing some dirt in the open wounds. While he remained stoic in both tone and appearance, a part of him was truly enjoying the chance he had gotten to put the soon to be husband of his older sister in the corner and poke him with a stick. Wondering if he still had the same foul temper, the fact that they were alone here might be good incentive to finally show the world which one of them was stronger, just in case things turned out to become a struggle.

Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] EmptyWed 15 Jan 2014, 1:49 am

Leaning against the wall, Toshiro might have been completely unaware of his unwanted traveling companion for all the reaction he showed to Yoroi's attempt at goading him. Hands folded behind the wet snow-colored hair the sennin's eyes never left the wall opposite him. Not even to make allowances - such as starting a fire - for his damp clothes. After all, this was hardly the first time a change in the weather had forced Toshiro to endure discomfort and at least he wasn't on a cliff exposed to a howling wind. As for dealing with Yoroi... well about the only lesson in the Academy that Toshiro had found useful was that the best way to annoy someone trying to goad you was fail to treat them as inconsequential. A lesson apparent in the almost off-hand tone to his words when Toshiro did respond a bit later than would be polite. "If you want to get fried in the name of ego, go ahead. I certainly won't shed a tear." As if the heavens were in agreement, as soon as Toshiro finished, one of larger holes in the wall framed the moment when a thunder bolt struck the sodden road outside. Even though the resulting spray of steam-propelled debris failed to breach the walls the sound of their impact testified to the raw energy held in the strike. More than enough to have maimed anyone standing too close and that proved to only be the first of many. Toshiro's reaction to such a display of natures power was to lean back further against his travel pack and smirk as if to say 'You want to go out in that, be my guest.'

As far as Toshiro was concerned, his fiancé's adoptive brother was just digging himself deeper and deeper into a hole and Yoroi's unfettered need to be an "alpha" was leading the effort. That the fellow was trying to goad him only proved just how little the feral boy really understood people. Yes Toshiro had a frightful temper as those unlucky souls who had been on the wrong side of it (and lived) could attest. What Yoroi had failed to note was that the future clan head also was all but immune to verbal barbs - at least those directed at himself. Call it arrogance born of being raised to real power, call it desensitization from dealing with members from clans with extra-large implanted sticks, heck call it the result of growing up in a family that would drive most insane; the effect was the same in that Toshiro blew off such with the same ease a duck shed water. Besides, he had heard more creative insults shouted across fences over a few trampled plants. Then there was the matter that Yoroi might as well have handed his fellow Leaf-nin an engraved statement that said "I'm going to goad you into fighting me". Maybe it was the semi-feral ninja's not having learned the nuances of human interaction yet that made it so obvious or some other reason but his intent was apparent if one knew how to look for it. And Toshiro was well-versed in how to divine another person's intent. Dealing with the political hacks who were supposed to help the Hokage run the village made that a mandatory skill if you didn't want to get taken to the cleaners every time.

And if Yoroi did manage to provoke the snow-haired sennin... well that would be poking a hornets nest best left alone. Because Toshiro didn't fight to prove he was tougher, "better", for honor or other suck horse hockey - he left those reasons to lesser ninja and samurai. He fought to win and the sennin had a very narrow definition of winning. Nor was he was adverse to some goading of his own. "If you want a fight, then ask for it. Otherwise go play with a stick or something."

Yoroi Kaguya

"Alright...", Yoroi said in a calm tone. It was clear that the man was not going to get too riled up over all of this, so in that aspect, the man had at least shown some kind of personal growth. Shrugging his throat, he walked closer to Toshiro at a steady pace, moving through the old building to get to the man who, unlike him, was as wet as a dog that had just taken a swim after rolling around in a pile of garbage. As he moved, he could feel the raw force of lightning as it struck outside of the building. There was a very solid reason as to why he did not fear it as much as the simple folk did, he knew that while lightning was mighty, it would only last for a single moment. In that moment, all of it's might would strike and fade away in that same instant. It was much like the people who believed they had the kind of power to change the world, the kind of power that could take down all who would try to face them. Yoroi knew better than this, he knew that no matter how strong a person was, there would always be someone who would be stronger, for there was no perfect shinobi in this world they were living in. It was however Yoroi's intention to become the kind of shinobi that was perfect, the kind that could take on any opponent, no matter how many without failure. Through the training he went through, he strengthened his body and mind. Through the teaching of his students, he kept himself aware of the world around him and the new batch of shinobi that would one day claim higher ranks. Not just this, but the more people he got to observe, the greater his knowledge of the shinobi, their clans and their techniques would become.

Finally, there was the fact that he wanted to protect the place he lived in from those who would harm it, leading him to wander around as a masked man, meeting dangerous people and receiving information for himself that could end up someday saving himself, his village and all those within it. After all, knowledge was power, though knowledge mixed with the body of an indestructible warrior were beyond mere power, they were divine. Every single fight he found himself in, he would find ways in which he could improve himself to better handle such situations when they showed themselves to him again. It was through his skill at adapting to his enemies that he would become a perfect warrior, even if it meant living a life of constant combat. Though the information he had received was quite interesting as it was possible that there was in impending war on it´s way, he did not feel the need to inform Toshiro of it at this time. Maybe if he could somehow beat Yoroi he would consider him worthy of knowing such things. Until then, he would keep him in the dark along with everybody else, even Kimiko. As he got himself ever close to the man, he eventually stopped in a close proximity, having no use for cowardly behavior by allowing the both of them to just spit one long ranged attack after the other. Standing just a bit under two meters away from him, Yoroi took off his head-gear and tossed it into a corner, having no use for it in such a fight. Before lowering his face-mask and pushing it down to only cover his neck, he looked at Toshiro for a moment before speaking.

"Fight me.". A simple statement, that was all Yoroi would say to him as he had already made up his mind. As he said it, it sounded awfully smug, though that was just the way it was intended. He was ready to fight the man right here and now, for no one would be so stupid as to get out of There would be no playing around with sticks, the only thing that would be toyed with would be Toshiro. Yoroi knew full well what his own limits were, and reducing the other white haired man to a pile of meat was well within them. Though he could obviously not do such a thing to Kimiko´s desired husband, he would still make him understand the difference between them. Still being relatively far from the village, he knew that there would be no interruption this time. There was nothing keeping him from fighting this guy to see if he was worthy of his sister's affection or not. When they had first met, the man had pretty much made an effort at calling him a freak of nature. Since that time, Yoroi had gone through so many things that made his bloodline limit infinitely stronger, as did his power in Ninjutsu and other tools that were useful in breaking someone down to the ground. The small amount of time that had been between that time and now had been so great that Toshiro might actually be right in his assumptions, for Yoroi was truly a monster by now, only being human in appearance. While it was on his mind, he did not say anything about it just yet, finding it to be much better to just let the man figure it all out by seeing it first hand. Maybe, just maybe, showing him what he could do now would make him wet himself more than the rain ever could, though this remained to be seen.

Keeping his hands to the side of his body, he pressed his fingers together to make a fist, cracking his knuckles in the process. Keeping his primal gaze on the man, it almost seemed too good to believe that the time had come for him to punish the only person that had ever spoken up to him, the person that had caused Kimiko to lose her faith in the young man. Not very often was revenge as sweet as this, and like ice-cream coated in caramel, so would he enjoy this to the fullest. He would however leave the first hit for him, knowing that there would be very little fun in this fight if he was not given the chance to prepare himself. Besides, if Yoroi was to get the first hit in all this, chances were that he would not stop until he had beaten the man senseless before he could do as much as reach for one of the toys he needed to prove that he could fight. As they stood there, no two meters away from one another, there was but a single thought in his mind. It was not one of careful planning as to how he would hurt the man, nor was it of ways to defend himself from his assault, it was a thought of Kimiko and how she would be hurt if Yoroi killed this man.

"Don't worry Kimiko, I won't kill him. I'll just make him realize just how inferior he is as a man...".

Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] EmptySun 19 Jan 2014, 12:07 am

If he had been privy to Yoroi's thoughts Toshiro would have found it rather difficult to keep a straight face. In fact the temptation to point that the feral boy was the one who needed to learn what made a "man a man" would have been almost overpowering. No, to Toshiro the person in front of him had a lot of growing up to do before he could begin to call himself a "man".  Not that the sennin had ever put much stock in that term since the definition (in this case) was so nebulous and prone to being interpreted in a way that cast the person using in the best light possible. Since he wasn't so aware Toshiro had no real difficulty keeping up the appearance of being annoyed but too bored to find something else to do. Including taking his sweet time in standing back up, making sure to stretch his arms out and all the other little things that someone getting up after having just sat down for a welcome rest would do. Little things that happened to eat up time and were certain to annoy those who thought too highly of themselves such as certain bone-using sennin. Not that Toshiro really cared if Yoroi wanted to fight or not but this was rapidly shaping up to be the best chance to put what his sisters called reconstructive personality surgery to use. Otherwise known as beating the living hell out of someone until they realized that the world did not revolve around them. Well that or they bled to death. But that was the risk of practicing without a license.

Almost as soon as he was upright Toshiro demonstrated the biggest difference between Yoroi and himself. Namely that he was taking this fight seriously from the start. Forgoing any preamble the sennin opened with his "Illusion Dance". After all, if the boy in front of him was foolish enough to think affording an opponent first strike proved something, it was the weapon-users duty to help him. Duty to open the brats eyes to the fact that being a shinobi wasn't a game that is. After all, Toshiro would probably settle for beating the living hell out of his future brother in law and maybe maiming him a bit (just an arm would suffice). Even in a "soft" village like Konoha there were plenty of shinobi who would not hesitate to use that glaring weakness to break the fellow. And no shortage of those who could do so in (literally in some cases) the blink of an eye by bloodline or hijutsu.  Even Toshiro who (to the public's knowledge at least) lacked such abilities knew of ways to counter and break the bones the Kayuga was oh so proud of. Having had two Kaguya as genin all but insured that one would acquire wealth of knowledge about the Dead Bone Pulse; now the knowledge once used to teach was put to use to defeat.

While the "clone" his technqiue created lasted only fractions of a second, that was more than enough time for Toshiro to effectively vanish on soundless feet only to reappear to his adversary's back in a crouch. Left hand against the ground for support while his right  was already unsheathing one blade from his back, the swordsman's leg was headed almost straight up. Its target? Yoroi's lower back to launch the bone-user into (and through if need be) the ceiling in the first stage of the "Shadow of the Dancing Leaf". Maybe not the most impressive or damaging - at least beyond Toshiro's already stone-crushing brute strength - unarmed technique but effective if it landed. Effective in setting up the recipient for any number of far more dangerous attacks such as the Front Lotus, Lion Combo, or Toshiro's case a "Hidden Leaf Front Beheading". As opening plans went it was rather direct; kick Yoroi into the air where what few pieces of the fallen ceiling had surivived were out of reach of a Kawarimi, follow in the bone-users blind spot, then cut him in half at the apex.

Toshiro: 220 CP - 14 CP (29 if Kage Buyou lands) = 206 (191) CP

Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] EmptySun 19 Jan 2014, 2:29 am

Yoroi Kaguya

As soon as things got into motion, he got to see some of Toshiro's techniques in action, something that was relatively interesting to him. Though he gave him zero credit for being a skilled shinobi or a tactful man, the very first setup seemed quite flashy. As he dashed towards him, Yoroi could tell that the man was indeed fast, though he was not fast enough to amaze the young Kaguya. As he turned to match the incoming attack, his eyes caught onto something in the heat of the moment. Though his perception was not the greatest in the world, his body and reaction was at it's peak, for there was no one who held Yoroi's level of physical speed. As he watched the man make his move, he saw two of Toshiro moving in a different direction for a split second before one of them disappeared, leaving but one of them to shoot straight towards him him. When the clone, or perhaps better said, the afterimage created disappeared, Yoroi knew that Toshiro was playing tricks on him. Looking over his shoulder and turning his body at the full brunt of his speed, Toshiro had already appeared with his arms to the floor, aiming to kick Yoroi up into the air. It was the Leaf Shadow Dance, a technique he too possessed as a Taijutsu master. He knew that Toshiro wanted to win, though resorting to such underhanded means was rather insulting to say the least.

That said, there was no time to really decide on more than two situations, because even if Yoroi was faster than him, that did not mean that he could stop time and think of a hundred solutions before the man got close to him and prepared an attack. Placing his arms together to block the kick, the sheer force of the kick lifted him from the floor either way, sending him up into the air. Had Toshiro been fighting any other opponent, all of this would have been a well executed and smart attack, though Yoroi knew exactly what would come once he was up in the air, and he was ready for it. Not requiring a single seal for the technique he was going to use, Yoroi still formed a several seals to back up his offense, using the fact that Toshiro was in his back to keep him from actually picking up on it. All in all, he made it seem like the attack had truly hurt him and forced him to go on the defensive, not being prepared for Toshiro. Whether he would totally fall for it or just partially, Yoroi could already see him over his shoulder, ready to cut open his back as he positioned himself for a strike. In that moment, a multitude of thick, sharp bone spikes grew from his back, shooting towards the guy and the wall that was roughly four meters behind them at frightening speeds. The bones that grew along with the one's branching off of the main ones to increase the chance of messing up it's intended target would skewer

Though he made an attempt at dodging vital organs, he knew that when the attack hit, it would deliver devastating results. After all, they were both in mid air, the man was holding a sword and there was simply not enough time for him to weave as much as a single seal in this state, something that would most certainly cripple the man for the rest of the fight if he was not taken down straight away. After all, the various bones that reached out from his body had smaller spikes that could inflict some painful lacerations, stab or skewer muscles and tendons if they got hit. Unless the man had some means of instant teleportation method, he truly had a big mess that had to be dealt with if he wanted to continue this fight. As the bones would make contact with him, his secondary defensive measures had been taken to ensure that he would truly be in trouble, sending a powerful wave of lightning chakra from his arms, through the mass of bone and towards Toshiro, using the chakra-infused bone as a means of rapidly transmitting the additional force to the white haired man in an attempt to not only carve into him but also send enough electricity through his body to keep him from setting up a valid defense. Thinking quickly was key in these situations, and there was little to nothing the man could use to defend himself that had not been taken into consideration.

Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] Clearing the Air [P, Spectre; ON HOLD] EmptyMon 20 Jan 2014, 4:04 am

As the tell-tale signs of the "Dead Bone Pulse" greeted him, Toshiro wondered if the bone-user even realized just how... insane his action was. Obviously the fellow was willing to take risks, but the very nature of those risks proved he was far too over-confident in his bloodline. Otherwise he would have done something to avoid Toshiro's attack instead of assuming he only needed to strike first.  In many ways proving Toshiro's opinion of bloodlines correct - that those who had them relied on them too much. To the point that they over-estimated their own abilities and under-estimated the skills of others. In this case Yoroi's assumption of "invincibility" had resulted in several potentially grievous errors in judgment. The was in underestimating how quickly a trained swordsman can alter his grip. The second being the assumption that his opponent would try to avoid the attack entirely. The last was in sorely overestimating just how much protection the symbol carved on his hitai-ate actually gave him. Initially Toshiro had only planned to use the flat of his blade to deliver a mocking smack with the flat, the one-quarter turn at the last second something well within his abilities. Seeing all the tell-tales of the Kaguya bloodline in effect - courtesy of having trained his unfair share of them - was all the warning the white-haired shinobi needed to come to a decision. If that was how the bone-user wanted to play, then so be it.

Instead of stopping his cut Toshiro altered his grip just slightly, a change that altered the blades angle of attack from a diagonal strike to one that was more horizontal. A cut that slide along and over the edges of the bones instead of biting into them and into the bone-users back. At the same time by pressing the flat of the blade against the bones Toshiro gained some leverage. Not enough to completely avoid the attack but sufficient that by he could twist enough that instead of striking head-on the side spikes sliced into the front of chest and thigh. That same movement also resulted in the lightning strike Toshiro's opponent had committed to blowing a hole in the wall instead of him with only a singed section of sleeve to mark its near-miss on the sennin. It still hurt like heck though and forced the sennin to keep his balance as he landed near a section of the wall that had collapsed. A quick assessment of his own condition was enough to assure Toshiro that he could fight on and would only need basic bandaging later on to keep the cuts from getting infected. How deeply he had sliced into Yoroi's back however remained to be seen and while he doubted it was remotely crippling (he had limited the force in the strike) it wasn't exactly an inconsequential blow and would likely need the same.

No, the real problem was that the two would have to finish the last leg of the trip back to Konoha injured. Which meant being slowed down and that meant more time together. A situation Toshiro was certain he wouldn't enjoy in the slightest. Nor was he in the mood to carry (or be carried) if the fight went on and one of them ended up too injured to walk. Which was likely what it would take for the fight to end in a decisive victor. And as much as he wanted to pound the arrogance out of his future brother-in-law, it wasn't worth having to carry the fool the rest of the trip. It was time to end this whole mess and from what he knew of the bone-user Toshiro doubted he even understood the concept of "backing down". So being the smart one who could look at the bigger picture again fell to Toshiro as he returned his sword to its scabbard even if he was ready at the moment to flicker away should the bone-user not accept the situation. "Seems we've tied and unless you want to spend more time stuck in each others company I suggest we keep it that way for now. Maybe next time we'll finish this."

Toshiro: 201 CP - 3 = 198 CP

Due to a certain someone's inability to work with other people and being a complete, utter hypocrite, I am now fully putting this on hold. I am not going to be held back by this thread while there are plenty of other people I should be RPing with that take priority over this monstrosity of a thread. I'll post in this when I have the time and the open threads for it, seeing as Staff is still struggling to make a ruling that is actually going to be enforced. No offense to staff is intended, I am just posting this up so I don't get blindsided by a sudden unlock that will put me in the situation where I have more open threads than I am allowed to be in at the same time.
