The loss of a child. [p] Vide
PostSubject: The loss of a child. [p] The loss of a child. [p] EmptyTue 29 Jul 2014, 11:10 am

Death: It’s not an easy thing to hold close to your heart no matter it’s form, or what the cause was. It’s harder for those that have to deal with the burden of knowing the person and being emotionally attached. Losing that person can change a person drastically in the moments that follow their death. They can change their goals in life, and their views on people in general. It’s a natural thing that every human being will have to experience some time in their life. How they choose to handle it is their own personal business.

It’s even worse when the death is a child.

Yoi Senju was a lovely child even when he had been through the circumstances that he has experienced. He is light hearted and easy going; fully caring of Mokuzai even though they both push each other’s buttons. He had no home, but if he was personally asked where he was the most comfortable it wouldn’t take him more than a few seconds to answer the question. It was by Mokuzai; the male nukenin that took him when no one else would. Having no family to start with, Yoi started to question if Mokuzai would be the closest thing to a big brother that he would have. The age difference between the two of them helped out with that clause. The fact that they both had similar aesthetics helped out in the department as well. The ebony locks, dark orbs, and scars that both of the young men held on their bodies practically screamed siblings.

“Mokuzai?” The bubbly tone came from the lips of the Senju child atop the shoulders of Mokuzai. “When you said we are goin’ to find the old man and the lab, what did you mean by that? What are you plannin’ to do?” Mokuzai knew that he had to answer this question seriously, or Yoi would start to back out when he caught onto his lying.

“We’re going to find out some information on ourselves and who we are. Don’t you want to find out what your real story is instead of living this lie?” Mokuzai tilted his head upwards once he felt the small hands of the boy grasp his hair slightly. “But..this lie is what I want. Even if it’s not true, I’d rather be like this instead of findin’ out where I really belong!” That remark honestly crushed Mokuzai; he didn’t expect Yoi to want to be with him full time. Who would want to be around a criminal? Who would want to stick around to causing trouble and being on the run constantly? Mokuzai has been living this life for years, and he still hasn’t got used to it. It was pitiful to see a child wanting to live this life of running, he shouldn’t even call this a life. “I’m still going to tell you where you belong when we find it out, alright? The papers from The Water country said there should be an entrance around here somewhere that can lead us to what I—we want to see.”

Mokuzai tilted his head back down to look over the forest in front of him, glaring towards the plants gracing the bottom of the trees every so often. “Stay from those, you hear me? You’ll end your life quicker than a fish jumping out of water.” There have been thoughts that Mokuzai held that often held his mind for a long while. These dark thoughts really messed with his emotions when they fully got a hold of him. Yoi simply kept his hands on top of Mokuzai’s head while keeping mental notes of the flowers nearby. It would be a shame if he randomly dropped from Mokuzai’s shoulders into the pathway of one of those flowers. (This was secretly a thought of Mokuzai while he trekked through this part of the forest.) With his increased speed of walking, Mokuzai finally came into the area that they duo were looking for. Anyone could have spotted the destination without even looking for it.

The black barb fence with vines growing in between each and every link; the gate being opened yet melted at the hinges from what seemed massive heat elements, as well as the windows being broken into shards on the outside; pretty spot on description from the papers he held. “This is it.” He placed the child on the ground beside him, looking over the documents one last time before tugging on the gate with the vines snapping between the metal. Grunting while he pulled, Mokuzai clenched his jaw underneath the bandages to give a little more ‘oomph’ in his grip and strength. The gate tilted at an angle just enough for the duo to slip between. Approaching the door in a slow manner, Mokuzai and Yoi kept near each other just in case it was a trap. It would be pretty cliché to hold something of that manner here in this building, but they cannot throw that idea out from thought.

“Let me go in every room before you, you just stay close.” He grabbed Yoi’s collar, pulling the child behind him while he opened the main door of the building. Upon entering the room, the shinobi dropped their worried expressions once they saw the interior. “It’s just a cabin, Moku. Are you sure this is it?” Yoi started to have his doubts, and Mokuzai could slowly feel the aggravation come up from his stomach. He’s searched for this so called ‘lab’ for years, and this is what he gets shown? He stepped towards the table, throwing his arms in the air and roughly bringing them down upon the surface of the wooden furniture.

“This is a fuckin’ li-“ His rage was cut short when he lifted up his hand to see a small cut on the palm of his hand. Blood dripped onto the table, which then started to split apart slowly to expose a set of stairs underneath the cover. Turning his head to look back towards Yoi, Mokuzai let out a slow breath.

“Here we go.”

PostSubject: Re: The loss of a child. [p] The loss of a child. [p] EmptyFri 08 Aug 2014, 12:43 pm

Each footstep that Mokuzai placed on the darkened floor were placed well and silently; he didn’t want to set off any traps or alarms that could still be set off in this lab. Although the lab was ran down to the ground and back, the grid on the floor, with florescent bulbs emitting light from underneath, made the building look a bit newer. “M-mokuzai, I’m scared..” Yoi’s voice echoed down the aisle of the staircase and hallway. Yoi usually mimicked the emotions that Mokuzai expressed on his features. It was all that he understood, and by looking up to the male nukenin, he thought it was the right way to go about dealing with situations. The young Senju came up behind Mokuzai, gripping on the aqua fabric on his back while tugging it slightly. Mokuzai didn’t take mind to it at all, of course he expected the child to be scared for this environment. Moku himself was a bit intimidated for finding the lab after all this time. He didn’t know what to expect from this underground building. For all he knew, it could have been a trap by the old man to get them together to do more tests on them. If that turned out to be true, Mokuzai wouldn’t hesitate to take him, with Yoi, out with one big explosion.

Once they reached the corner of the hall, Mokuzai tilted his head around the structure, making sure no one, or any traps of the sort were patrolling the lab. “There could be multiple entrances leading to this place. Keep an eye on our back, Yoi.” It seemed correct to have multiple entrances to an underground area like this, right? It was too high-tech to ignore or abandon. The duo started their trek down the hall; Mokuzai couldn’t sense anything with chakra for the moment when he focused his sensing abilities. At least that meant no shinobi were a part of the lab. Could that mean that machines did most of the experimenting? Could those machines still be working to this day, 16 years later? Unknown to Mokuzai, all his answers were about to answered shortly. The Takigakure ninja licked his lips while turning his eyes to glare in each room as they passed their frames down the hall. Each door labeled something like a hospital. “303, examination room.” He muttered underneath his breath; every other entrance he would say the name outloud to Yoi, letting him know where they were in the lab.

“I..want to go back outside. I’mma go—“ As Yoi was turning his back, Mokuzai grabbed the collar of the boys’ shirt, pulling him back to his side. “You’re not goin’ anywhere, we’re both goin’ to find out about where we belong, who we are, and what we need to do in life to be normal again.” His nostrils flared from picking up a rather familiar scent. The fragrance sent chills down his body. It was strong enough for him to start recalling his days as a child in the lab. “Gasoline.” A brief sigh came from his lips when he turned to look in a large opal window, showing the tables with stained cloths. “This is where they tortured us. W-we really were treated like animals here.” Should he even be seeing these things? Was his emotional state even capable of processing the sights that he held here?

Yoi tried his best to stand on his tip-toes to catch views here and there of the tables. Even though he couldn’t see the cloths that were stained, the sheer expression on Mokuzai’s face was more than enough to frighten the child. To see the young man, his idol, stop and show fear was more than a signal for Yoi to do the exact same. “C-can we go now?” He wasn’t sure if Mokuzai wanted to stay longer than he wanted to. Yoi was completely fine waiting at the top of the stairs.

The black ooze on Mokuzai’s wound thickened, covering his gash for a few seconds before dripping from his jaw onto the tile beneath his boots. “No. We’re close to finding the main room. We need to find that room. I..need to find that. He thought to himself while he turned his back to trek down the hallway even more. The further that they both went into the building, the more their scars started to burn from suppressed memories coming full force suddenly. He saw afterimages of patients being wheel chaired into rooms, white coats fluttered in the windows like curtains. Even screaming eventually made its way into his head. What’s goin’ on? The grasp he had on his head slowly tightened from his finger tips on his crown. He knew the images were fake, but were they some sort of genjutsu? He could feel the tugs of Yoi, and if it was a genjutsu, what triggered it?

It was like a maze to get through this area. He didn’t expect that many rooms to be in such a small space underground. It must have been here for years, decades, maybe even longer. “Yoi, are you seein’---
“Yeah, I am.” They both stood in front of room, with a large steel door keeping them from seeing what was inside. The writing on the wall, however, was what made them stop in their tracks.

PostSubject: Re: The loss of a child. [p] The loss of a child. [p] EmptyFri 08 Aug 2014, 1:29 pm

“This is..” Mokuzai couldn’t believe his eyes. The fact that they found the lab was one thing, but to find their origin, how they got their bloodline, that was something not expected. “Do you really think it’s in there, Momo?” Yoi approached the large rusted door, placing his small hand on the bolts in the middle of the frame. “I have no idea. I don’t feel any chakra comin’ from the room behind it. Then again, they could have plates that void sensin’ abilities for all I know. I mean, look at how high tech this place is. Would it surprise you if they had it?” Mokuzai was starting to get an understanding for this place; after all, he did come from this lab. It could be his homecoming if he found what he was looking for behind this door.

Looking over the structure with his dark optics, Moku noticed the keypad nearby, holding a number code with four digits. Even though power surged in the floors to give light to the halls, there was no light behind the keyboard, nothing to even signal that it still worked. This concerned Mokuzai, frustrated him even. They were literally inches away from finding about themselves, yet a thick steel door stood between them. “It doesn’t seem like it’s goin’ to open, Yoi.” He stated with a monotone filled voice. All the excitement and fear was for nothing. Even though there was much more of the lab to venture forth into, finding out that their beginnings, and source of power could be possibly in front of them, but cut off from a door killed all muse that he had to find out where he came from. “We just need to ge-“ Mokuzai’s voice stopped once he looked down at the base of the door. There was a crack, big enough to get both his index finger and middle finger halfway into. Explosions firstly came into his mind, but shrapnel and alarms would be of main concern. Thinking back to Konoha’s borders, Mokuzai licked his lips while kneeling down to his knees.

“Yoi, get back a bit.” The idea he had in his head had a small percentage to work, but it was better to try and not to try at all. The next steps that he took in his agenda were deep breaths. It was a large technique that he was about to use, and it did use a bit of stamina considering the state of health he was in at the moment. His hands rested on his thighs while he forced all his weight to his bum; resting his backside on his calves. It was a pure meditation form, pretty common for monks to use to reach tranquility.

Yoi took the steps back just as commanded; allowing him to give Mokuzai the space to do what he needed to get done. The young boy did try to figure out just what Moku was going to be up to; but even then, he couldn’t read his ‘older brother’.

Mokuzai quickly brought his hands in front of his chest. Black chakra surrounded his body, showing sparks of purple to be mixed in with the dark aura. It was purely frightful for Yoi to experience firsthand. It was like his full past was coming forth to fuel his chakra and thoughts. All these oppressed memories really affected Mokuzai, even if he didn’t want to talk about it. With his hand seals complete, he placed his hands in the crack of the door, or at least tried to fit as much as he could. “ Mokuton: Daijurin no Jutsu “ His voice was dark, and filled with hate. It was the old Mokuzai slowly surfacing in front of Yoi, the one he had not known before meeting him in the water country. The ebony wood shot through the door, causing the metal to dent from the force of the impact. The sharpened edges of the Senju wood easily pierced through the steel as well, but Mokuzai was struggling to lift up with his strength. This was a rather new technique that he learned through his own experimentation, although his weaker version he would be able to control easier, it didn’t have the strength to pierce the door, or widen the crack from it’s blunt edges.

With a simple grit of his teeth, Mokuzai turned his head to glare towards Yoi. “What are you doin’!? Help me!” His voice showed clear signs of his struggling to keep the door on the level it was on. Yoi widened his eyes from the command he got from the older male. Through all of his times traveling with Mokuzai, he had not once been called on for help or aid; so he didn’t know what to do when he saw him struggling. Quickly going to Mokuzai’s side, Yoi rubbed the back of his head as he hustled towards the door, trying to lift it up with his arms.

“A-aish, it’s not moving!” He honestly did try, he tried his best to get the door to budge even one inch to show Mokuzai that he was actually trying to do something right for once. Seeing the wood underneath his grip gave him a small idea, and hopefully it would fall through in reality just like it was in his head. “Just hold tight, ok?” He tried his best to remain calm given the situation. He didn’t have the cruel chakra like Moku, but he did have something that could act as a wedge.

“ Mokuton: Shichūrō no Jutsu “ Since Moku, and Yoi practically shared the same chakra signature and nature, the Senju actually worked together with their jutsu. The shards that were underneath the door in the crack started to grow upwards, forcing the door open and exposing the contents to the two shinobi. Mokuzai slowly got on his legs, trying to regain balance for a few seconds before heading inside. He didn’t wait on Yoi, nor did he thank him, but the child could see the thankfulness in the way Mokuzai carried himself. His pride was slowly returning, and the fear from earlier was dissipating.

“Y-yoi.” Mokuzai muttered from a corner, looking down in a large silver tub. He was obviously shaken, his voice cracked from emotions gathering in him again. Yoi slowly turned the corner to find Mokuzai in his location. In white writing on the side of the tube was “001”. “This is where we came from? Our source of power?” He muttered by slowly approaching Mokuzai.

With those words, Mokuzai slowly shook his head, turning his features around to show tears running down his face. “No.” He stated, walking away from the tube and back outside into the hallway. Yoi, being a child, naturally got curious to see the contents. Grabbing a few books from a nearby table and placing them in front of the tube, he looked down in the glass, tinted by a green light. He lost his grasp of air once he saw what was in the tube.

He closed his eyes, placing his hand on the glass out of comfort. “Rest in peace…Mokuzai.”

“What am I doing in the fuckin’ tube!” Mokuzai yelled out of anger and confusion. He knew it wasn’t real, but to be an actual clone. This was too much for him to handle. “He’s still fuckin’ alive you morons!”

Yoi didn’t know what to do in these types of situations. What do you do, to find out the real body of who you think you are, is in some comatose state?  That’s not really a common thing to find in the everyday world. Mokuzai was apparently ready for the worst sort of outcome, but this must have gone beyond his expectations. When Yoi got outside of the main room, he found Mokuzai limp against wall. He could see his body shaking from anger and yet, he saw hiccups of tears streaming down his face. “M-Mokuzai?” Yoi whispered while slowly approaching him with his hands extended outwards for a sign of comfort. He was going to try everything he could muster up to try to soothe his older friend. “J-just stay positive? I-I mean I don’t really know how you can—“

“Why don’t you shut the fuck up for once?” Mokuzai interrupted the child, turning his head on the wall, with his head spearing into the metal. “This is not the god damn time to have your little talk. Did you not see what the fuck was in there?” If it wasn’t apparent enough, Mokuzai was both furious and confused. If the real Mokuzai is in there, was he a clone? What number was he? He knew Yoi was at least some form of that Mokuzai. “I don’t even know if that’s my name anymore.” It was like a wall hit him in the face, and kept pressing against his body until he bursts all over the floor underneath him. He didn’t mean to jump towards Yoi like this and in this manner, but the emotions were practically fuming from his eyes. If one were to look at Mokuzai in this state, they would label him unstable and try to take him down as soon as possible. He was a threat when he was angered, and he knew this. He had some amount of self control, but even that was limited to him.

Yoi winced from the words thrown towards him from a close friend. He knew he was hurt, but did he have to resort to such drastic word use? “I’m..sorry.” He quietly spoke underneath his breath. There was no reason for him to keep talking if all he was doing was pushing the buttons of Mokuzai. Yoi didn’t know if he needed to approach the shinobi, or not. He just kept his ground, making sure to give the space to Mokuzai, but also watched him to make sure he wasn’t doing anything drastic.

The nukenin pulled his head off the wall, staring at the yellow lines painted on the wall for direction. He wanted to do something he knew Yoi would not understand. Especially with him being at this age. “Stay here.” He quickly said, heading back to the room where the real Mokuzai laid in stasis. If he was moving around, why wasn’t the real body? What was so wrong with the original copy that made him choose to be in that state? These were the questions that ran through the mind of Mokuzai with one other situation occasionally popping up here and there. “End him.” The voice echoed in the mind of Mokuzai. The nukenin was looking down at the blank expression of the body. His reflection showing on the glass, approving that he should take the mantle as the real Moku. There was no other one walking. No other being with the same name, the same title, the same abilities. Except one. “Yoi.” Although he was a child, he was artificial. He wasn’t even supposed to exist. Yoi knew that, Moku knew that, even the villagers knew something was up with him having black mokuton.

His tongue graced his lips in thought. I shouldn’t even be considerin’ the thought to kill the kid, but. I need to have the real title. I need this in my life. To reassure that I am the real Mokuzai. The real one.. The clone is the one in the tube, I’m the one walking. That’s how it will be, that’s how I will learn to live.

Reaching to his pack, Mokuzai pulled out an explosive tag, placing it on the glass of the tube. He knew this is what he wanted; he needed to be reassured that everything from now on, was going to be a lie. He was completely out of it; even Yoi couldn’t understand what suddenly got into him. It was frightening to see someone he had been around so much, start to slip from sanity. “Mokuzai what are you—“ The explosion happened once Mokuzai crossed the panel of the door, sending the tube flying behind him in the room. The body inside shuffled on the ground, twitching and groaning before being engulfed in flames from the room.  There was no data in that room, at least about that subject and their whereabouts. Mokuzai wouldn’t be so careless when it came to an act like that.

“Are you tryin’ to stop me too? Is that what you’re sayin’?” Mokuzai held his right hand near his wrist, which Yoi knew what came from that tattoo seal. If they were to do combat here and now, Yoi woudn’t stand a chance against Mokuzai. Not in the state he is in, and the gap in their abilities was massive.

“If you even try to stop me. I will cut out your tongue and make it lick up your body while I cut each digit off your hand.”

The loss of a child. [p] Vide
PostSubject: Re: The loss of a child. [p] The loss of a child. [p] EmptyFri 08 Aug 2014, 3:20 pm

In a normal setting, Mokuzai wouldn’t be this furious. He personally didn’t know why he was this way, yet he still continued to fume up his rage. It just built up inside him quicker than any crack in earth could be formed from a simple step. He knew he had anger problems, but how would one suggest acting after figuring out that his existence was purely based off a lie? It wouldn’t be sitting down and acting like an obedient dog. “This is fuckin’ insane. How can this even be possible?” He couldn’t keep his mind off the face from the tube. He knew that somewhere in this lab, there was going to be some amount of data that would give him the answers he sought for. Or at least lead him to another area where he would find out more. The only other thought going on in his mind was how much he would be slowed from the child following him everywhere. He didn’t need that to get to where he wanted to go. Mokuzai was just now realizing how much Yoi actually limited him in doing things. He had to change his act completely based on how much it would affect the child in the long run.

“Mokuzai?” Yoi was being careful with what he was saying; he literally thought before he spoke to him. He didn’t want to spark a fight, nor did he want to leave Moku in this state. At least not in this environment. “Why don’t you take a breath, hm? We can look around more if you want to? I don’t have a problem anymore.” A soft smile graced the child’s features for a few seconds, quickly dropping once Mokuzai trekked passed him. The steps he heard were heavy burdened and staggering. The dragging of his heels against the tile echoed and bounced from the walls. They both knew not to go into a room with only numbers marking the area. It would, or could contain more bodies just like that, and they just weren’t psychologically ready to experience this yet again. “Where are we goin’?” Yoi simply asked Mokuzai.
His answer was straight forward and quick. There was no reason to hide the few words anymore. “The test center.” His voice, still lacking emotion became softer once he started to see images yet again. Tables being pushed into the center room with rods, and chemicals in syringes. Shrieks came from rooms as he passed them. The floors lighting up with arrows showing the way to the center room, with multiple tubes with the same black liquid that dripped from his cheek. “We’re almost there.” All the memories of the experiments started to come back into view. The burning sensation from his back was from chemicals, not fire. They were burns and reactions from his body rejecting the liquid.
All this time he was afraid of fire for no reason; he was about to change that fear, and add it to a strength of his later on down the road.

Looking over each sign beside the doors lining down the hall, he caught glimpses of the numbers. “732, 733, 734.” The rhythm he muttered it in was matching the voice in his head. The low, demonic, commanding voice that told him to end Yoi’s life much earlier in the room with the 001 sample; he tried his best to avoid the commands. He follows no one, he is his own leader, his own follower, his own god, and his own kage. He didn’t need to know what to do, and be told how to do it. There was his way, and his way only. There was no in between.
Yoi, still frightful and following from a distance, kept a lewd though in his mind. The gut feeling he had before he entered the lab slowly started to come back. “He shouldn’t have came in here..something bad is going to happen. I can feel it.” His feelings of this nature usually weren’t wrong. At least not to a full degree. It was natural for the kid to feel in danger, who wouldn’t in this sort of situation? Yoi just wanted the old Mokuzai back, not these rage filled being that only had the looks of Mokuzai.

“Here.” Mokuzai leaned against the door frame with his right arm extended out towards the metal. “856. Testing room.” He turned his head slowly to face Yoi who came from down the hall, by the time Yoi would have reached the room; Mokuzai would have already been inside digging up the data on the two of them. Which is exactly what he wanted to do in the first place; he didn’t care what he could find at this point, as long as he got some answers, no matter the form, then he would be alright. Once inside the room, he could see the machines lined up against the wall. Some had needles that still had the black ooze inside them; others had what looked like pens at the end of their ‘hands’. He didn’t know exactly what they were used for, but with them being in this room, and this la, it couldn’t have been for etching his name in a bracelet.

“Welcome to Astha’s file directory, Mokuzai.” An automatic voice shot through the area. It was confusing to Mokuzai at first. Does he talk back to this being that had no body? He waited to see if the woman’s voice would offer any other insight on what to do. “Would you like to activate order 432 and access the files of your livestream?” The voice was offering up free information! Of course he would want this. “Yes.” He simply answered the AI woman. The table in the middle of the room slowly started to rise, opening up to a TV screen that had his birthday on the lower left corner. The scene showed what appeared to be an older Mokuzai with the barcode ‘001’ tattooed on his lower left hip lining. “Ah. Him.” His eyes were planted on the screen constantly, watching as multiple scientists injected the black ooze into the Konoha shinobi. “So that’s how it became black.” He looked down at his hands, closing them tightly in his grip.

He might not have got too much information, but he got a start. “Who is that man?” He touched the screen, zooming in on a white haired fellow from the center of the room. “Ah, that is Mister Retsu. He’s our maker.”

“Are there any files on him and his location?” “You are asking to access archived information, password please.” He didn’t know anything about any password. What would happen if he just stood there and acted like he didn’t know? Mokuzai didn’t want to risk it. As soon as he turned the corner, he saw Yoi standing there, but with a clueless expression on his face. “Yoi. Let’s get out of here.” Yoi didn’t respond, oddly. He didn’t even blink! Mokuzai just thought that he was playing with him, after finding out how their mokuton is colored the certain way the hold. “Quit foolin’ around. I’m sorry for before I didn’t mean—“ When Mokuzai walked forward and placed his hand on the child’s head, Yoi dropped the ground. A black shard, burnt from what seemed like an explosion was lodged in his spine.

The view shocked Mokuzai, he just..stared down at the lifeless body of his colleague, someone he called his brother. “Y-Yoi?” He kneeled down, clenching his jaw while shaking the child. “We did it, Mokuzai.” The voice entered his head once again; becoming a bit more loudly than usual. “We got rid of the one that slowed us down. Even when we fought it, once you think about it, you killed Yoi.”

Thinking back, Yoi did show a wince of pain while Mokuzai was jumping him. Threatening to cut out his tongue and do it with crude antics. He couldn’t bear the thought of how he spoke to him last. That’s why he was dragging the last bit of the distance. The pain the child had, it showed in the way he walked, and yet, Mokuzai was too focused on his goal to notice. “F-fuck.” He clenched his hands into his thighs, slowly picking up the body, and throwing it on his shoulder.

Now that he had no one to care for, no reason to get strong to protect someone, did he want to live any longer? “WE will get stronger, Mokuzai. You shall see.”

The voice didn’t sound familiar, nor did it sound like a stranger. It was calming, yet fueling his rage to find vengeance for Yoi. “I swear. I’ll go to no limits to find Retsu.” The AI heard his remarks in his voice, making a small alarm go off in the building. “Detonation activated: 1 minute until destruction.” Mokuzai knew that he had to make a run for it, but with the weight of Yoi on his shoulders, he didn’t think he would make it very far in the building. It took a lot of him to leave the child against the wall. Mokuzai even left his Takigakure headband wrapped around Yoi’s wrist.

Tears streamed down the nukenin’s face while running up the stair-case, knowing all good and well that the place where Yoi was created, was no his burial site. Upon reaching the vegetation outside, Mokuzai dipped behind a rock, covering his ears when the explosion went off. Ash went into the air, and shrapnel landed beside him. He dared not to go into the wreck to look for a body, Konoha guards could be there in any moment and he needed to get a move on.

“I’m sorry, Yoi. The bastard, and everyone else will pay.”
