Physical: Many people would find it hard to believe that Sōsuke is a thirteen year old. Standing at 5'9, his growth spurt had come earlier than most of his peers back in the Academy. His height gave him a towering and intimidating presence over his fellow students, a fact that Fujiwara uses in order to make certain students comply to his demands. He was quite well-endowed for his age as well; a strong athletic frame that came from the vigorous training during his time in the Academy as well as practicing kenjutsu in his clan's dojo. The young shinobi made it a point to not focus too much on gaining muscle mass in order to capitalize on his speed during combat more so than his strength. His hand contained calluses from handling a bokken and other shinobi tools, but aside from that his body was devoid of blemishes and scars. His smooth tanned complexion comes from the constant exposure to sunlight that people living in Kumogakure no Sato is accustomed to.
His facial features has garnered quite a few kunoichi's attention and Sōsuke is well aware of his apparent attractiveness. Fujiwara's long reddish-brown hair that extended to the base of his neck used to get in his face often when a current blew past, but his new hairstyle helps keep the bangs in place nowadays. His green irises shine like polished emeralds, glowing when seen in the dark.
Clothing Attire: In contrast to his extravagant physical traits, simplicity is the best way to describe Fujiwara’s normal apparel. His usual clothing consist of a simple kimono jacket on when he is residing inside the village. The inner black layer of the jacket covers his otherwise exposed abdominal. The second layer of the jacket consist of red with orange trims along the chest area. A golden chain link design is engraved on the left side of the haori, giving the otherwise plain jacket an artistic flare to it. The lower half of his torso is covered around with a green hakama which is strapped tight to his waist with a white obi sash.
In the colder seasons, Sōsuke's asagiiro-colored haori is worn over his regular attire due to its greater resilience in the face of adverse weather. The facing and lining are padded with thick layer of wadded cotton for warmth. The collar is usually made of black sateen. With long haori strings to keep the clothing tight to prevent heat from escaping, it is quite elegant in its design as well with its white mountain trims that can be seen on the sleeves and the lower half of the outfit.
On his left leg, a kunai holster is strapped onto his thigh giving him quick access to a weapon. A shuriken holster is situated on the right side of his leg and although it is not his dominant hand, Sōsuke has trained to the point where he has become ambidextrous. Because he chooses to wear a pair of geta even during the winter, a pair of thick white tabi socks are also needed.
Forehead Protector:
A white colored hitai-ate is tied across Fujiwara's forehead, protecting it from harm and also preventing his hair from obstructing his vision during battle.
Personality:
There are many words that can be used to describe the young shinobi known as Fujiwara Sōsuke. Charismatic, humorous, he’s able to get people to trust in him and offer their assistance to him if needed. Especially when it comes to women, despite his age Sōsuke is quite skillful when it comes to attracting those of the opposite sex. His charming personality is no doubt one of the contributing factors to this sexual appeal. He is also good with children, being able to calm a crying toddler even when its own parents cannot. But there is was one word to describe him it would be psychopathic. He is willing to use others in order to accomplish his own goals and whatever means necessary in order to protect the village that he serves and his clan as well. His lowered empathy towards others has left him with a cynical view on the world, often making chiding remarks and is known to be quick-tempered when he feels that someone else is dragging him down.
His sadistic persona stems from being raised in an environment where he was often bullied to the point where he donned a new mask in order to conceal his true feelings from others. He reserves his own knowledge from others in order to hold an upper hand in conversations. Yet this does not mean that Sōsuke cannot tell what is right and wrong. He is willing to help others as much as the next person, however his moral compass is compromised when it comes to matters concerning the security of his village. The only man that is capable of changing his mind is his older step-brother Kondo Isami, who he has the most utmost respect for to the point where Fujiwara has even imitated his hairstyle.
Sōsuke is very prideful of his abilities, but he has never been one to fall victim to his own hubris. He is willing to cooperate with another person so long as their cooperation yields positive results, most teenagers are not known for their patience. As hard as he push other people to become better, he pushes himself three times as hard in order to be better than them. He does not want to be viewed as useless and discarded like an old tool. How far he is able to go in order to accomplish this goal of his is still unclear, but what we do know is that he possessed a strong will that will not be vanquished by those that lack conviction in their cause.

Combat Style:
There are some people in this world that diplomacy is the best method to resolve a conflict. Sōsuke is not one of the supporters behind this train of thought. He relishes every moment of the fight and uses all his might in order to take down his targets. Years of kenjutsu training have allowed him to use his blade with a finesse that is uncommon for someone his age. Fujiwara prefers to use his katana and because of this, he is often limited in terms of range for his techniques. In order to counteract this weakness, the young shinobi has trained quite extensively to increase his natural speed to close the distance gap that his enemies might exploit. He is relentless when it comes to putting pressure on his target to the point where he comes off as bloodthirsty.
Yet even though Fujiwara knows that he is quite gifted when it comes to kenjutsu, he is not ignorant to the fact that he has other skills in his repertoire. His reliance on the blade is a mere facade for his ninjutsu prowess. He goads and taunts his adversaries, disturbing their psyche and making it hard for them to concentrate on the fight. Once he has lulled his opponent into a false sense of understanding how the Genin operates, Fujiwara then proceeds to use his ninjutsu in order to take advantage of their lowered guard. For some unsuspecting foes, this tends to be their last mistake when it comes to fighting Sōsuke who then finishes them off with his blade in the end.
The two main weaknesses of Sōsuke are his mediocre taijutsu skill and his almost non-existent genjutsu abilities. For a swordsman, the katana is an extension of one's body and losing his blade would be the equivalent of losing an arm. If the young shinobi were to lose his weapon in the middle of a battle, he would be limited to using his ninjutsu to pull him through.

This boost in speed is usually enough to quickly catch escaping targets or outrun most regular citizens.

THE BACKGROUND.
History:
It was a quiet birth that brought Fujiwara Sōsuke into this world. His father was a descendant from a samurai clan and his mother was a daughter from another lineage consisting of samurai. The young child had two older sisters that looked after him when his parents were occupied with other affairs. Fujiwara did not get to see his father due to the fact that he was gone, fighting on the front lines to support the expansionist regime under the Raikage. Shinobi were not the only ones doing the fighting, militia forces have to be raised in order to maintain order due to the rapid growth of the village. What little time that the young Fujiwara spent with his father, he spent it training and learning how to handle a wooden sword with him. With no other male heirs, it was crucial for Sōsuke to be the next in line to learn and preserve the kenjutsu techniques that were passed down from generation to generation. It was during these few moments of sparring that the older Fujiwara believed that his son would grow up to become a swordsman that the world had never seen the likes of before.
Sadly, he would not have the chance of witnessing that day come to pass for he perished in a battle soon after his son’s sixth birthday. His mother passed away as well during the same year, having contracted an illness that continued to plague her until her very last breath. With the loss of their parents, it was up to Sōsuke’s older sister, Mitsu, to take care of him while the other sister continued to work and support themselves. A break from the depression came in the form of an adoption. Mitsu was adopted in name into the Kondo clan, which was renowned for its kenjutsu. It was there that Sōsuke would end up residing in Shieikan as a live-in student while his sister Mitsu would also go off to look for other prospective opportunities for their family elsewhere. It was also here that Sōsuke would meet his older step-brother, Kondo Isami. He reminded the young child of his father but also his sister as well because of his caring nature.
At first, Fujiwara refused to open to others and frowned upon due to the status as an orphan. He would have to deal with being bullied by some of the other students that attended the dojo. He kept silent about this treatment however because he didn’t want to bother Kondo about the troubles that he faced given the fact that he was fortunate to even have a roof to live under. But Kondo was not a man that can be that easily deceived by others, he had the ability to see through other people’s facade and see them for who they truly are underneath.
When accusations of Sōsuke snitching the students arose causing controversy to stir within the institution, the master of the dojo decided to resolve the matter with a short duel. It was hardly a fair fight, within two strikes, Sōsuke had left the person who was responsible for the harassment he had faced over the last few months. The young boy had a thirst in his eye, wanting to leave a lasting impression on the crippled prey. But before he could swing his sword properly, a hand came out from behind stopping him from proceeding.He turned around to see that it was Kondo who had impeded his motion and not even a second later, he felt the older man hug him and telling him that he was not someone that others can look down upon. Kondo told him that he had to be above those that look down on others and that he should never let anyone led him to believe that he is worthless. To him, Sōsuke was one the most important people that he cherished and would never allow something like this to ever happen again.
Sōsuke was not the type of person to shed tears, he did not cry when his father died, or when his mother passed away, or when his sisters left. But here he was crying, a fountain of emotions that has been kept shut for years that has finally broken loose. For as long as he lives, Fujiwara would never forget the kindness that Kondo showed him and the lessons that he imparted on him. If he had a goal in life, it would be to serve under his older brother and protect him.
In order to achieve that, Sōsuke chose to attend the Ninja Academy where he believed his potential can flourish, rather than limiting himself to kenjutsu. Unlike his time at the dojo, Sōsuke was viewed as being quite amicable and showed considerable talent for the shinobi arts. He was often at the top of his class, excelling at most of the subjects that he learned. Before long, the young child soon became a teenager and at the age of thirteen, Fujiwara would pass the final exams that were required in order to become a Genin. It was time for him to truly test his abilities and push himself further than he has before.
Roleplay Sample:
It didn't take much to wake the young shinobi from his slumber. The birds chirped near his window, beaconing to him that the sun has risen. His eyelids fluttered open as his senses began to come back to reality. He slowly got out from his futon and looked around silently as he collected his thoughts. It was almost time for him to head over to Academy, another day that would be spent immersing himself in the basics of the shinobi art.
Walking over to the shōji door, he lazily opened the panel and a wave of sunlight bombarded his vision. As he walked along the wooden path that was constructed around the perimeters of the house he resided in. In the distance, Sōsuke could hear the faintest sound of bokken being swung in the direction of the dojo. He would not be surprised if it was his older brother, Isami, who was up and at it so early in the morning. The thirteen year old teenager eventually found his way into the bathroom where he spent a good amount of time going through his daily morning routines.
It was easy enough to make breakfast for himself, having been a servant for the Kondo clan for a time when he had first moved into the household. Okayu was a simple dish consisting of water, rice, and a healthy dash of salt, all one had to do was just let it cook for thirty minutes before it was ready to be served. After completing his home-made meal, Fujiwara made sure to wash the dishes that he had used and putting them back where they belonged. He fixed his sandals before proceeding out of the gate of his home and made his way to school.

After performing the required handseals, the Kumogakure shinobi will be able to use their chakra manipulation and affinity to make a whip of lightning within their dominant hand. The whip measures to one and a half metres long. If a person is struck by this whip then they will suffer from flesh wounds, first degree burns and also have the effected area made numb. The whip requires a constant supply of chakra, if the user lets go of the whip even for a second then the whip is instantly deactivated. Then, to deal with the path of the lower shuriken. If the enemy notices both shuriken, the technique ends up losing all of its efficiency.

Description: Kumogakure no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique utilizing no element. A technique that imitates that of the Kirigakure no Jutsu, once the user has performed the required handseals they will be able to call upon a thick and heavy cloud that will appear almost out of nowhere. The cloud will be able to cover a ten metre radius around the user and only the user is able to sense where others lurk within the cloud. Those with doujutsu or chakra sensing techniques are also able to see through this thick cloud but without any aid, then you'll be blind within the cloud. If a C - Rank or above fuuton technique is activated, then the cloud will be blown away.

Using their lightning affinity, the Kumogakure shinobi is able to enhance any weapon they possess and coat it with lightning chakra to give it a more powerful hit. The lightning will be able to numb the area where the weapon strikes and also cause minor burns. Any weapon can be enhanced by this attack, Kunai, Shuriken, Blades or even Arrows. The technique can only be used on weapons though, once the weapon has struck something the lightning will fade away.

| This is an interesting looking character you have going here. I merely have a few small comments to share with you, before I will give you my approval:
- Please add to the title of your app [Kumogakure Genin].
- You seem to be missing out on the clan section of the character template. Even if your character doesn't belong to a clan through his blood, we still ask that no part of the app are taken out. Simply put N/A in the section after you have restored it.
- You are allowed to start with a social SC also if you want to. Not mandatory, but thought I'd remind you.
- I counted only 8 jutsu but you are allowed to start with 15. Again not mandatory, but a reminder.
- You can also start off with more weapons if you so desire, again just a little reminder here since it'd be easier to start off with everything you -can- start with. Seeing as you have to pay for everything extra after you are approved. A C rank Genin with weaponry can start with 2 C rank weapons of his dominant range and up to 15 D rank ones of your ranges.
If you have already decided to not start off with these things I am rambling on about, then that's alright. It's simply a habit to remind people of the things they can start with, as often members do forget upon the making of their chars.  |

- Fixed the title.
- Added the clan section back to the application.
- Not going to include a social SC.
- Leaving some open spots for custom jutsu that I might create later on.

| I'm afraid you misunderstood me and also perhaps misunderstood the jutsu system.
- When I said two C rank weapons of your dominant range, I meant the range that you picked first (I assume that Close range is the dom range since that is mentioned first on your app, whilst the medium range is the sub range?). So you can have two C rank close range weapons, but any and all weapons of your sub range must be a rank lower than your char.
- Also, you can have as many jutsu as you desire after being approved. We only limit people to 15 jutsu at the start of the approval, but after being approved you could easily have over 50 jutsu. |

Thanks, didn't know that I could have more than fifteen so I've made some changes once again.
- Changed out the Nodachi for a Ninjato.
- Added seven more jutsu to the list.

| Just the smallest of things, you actually need to list which range is your primary and which is your secondary (unless I am blind and have missed it entirely) to allow for proper moderation of further weaponry additions.

Yeah, I didn't make it clear in the application but I fixed it now. The primary/secondary range is now listed in the specialties section.
