Name:Hiruzen Saizo Uchiha Title: Mashin Shōdo - A title given to him by the people of the Hidden Cloud as a result of a certain event. When Hiruzen murdered a cove filled with pirates and assassins, the party that came in from the Hidden Cloud witnessed the devastation and ruthlessness of Hiruzen. The blood that coated the floor and the walls, the earth that had been scorched black, the violet remnants of the flames that had consumed many of the corpses and the people that had been left to die slowly and painfully as a result of their wounds had given the back-up party of shinobi that had been sent in to take the survivors as prisoners for the village reason to call him Mashin Shōdo, meaning "Scorched Earth Demon". Being well known for it in the land of Lightning, the other nations have heard of the story but do not have a face to pin to the title. Nickname: Strider - Ever since he has made it clear that he does not want to become bound to a village and does not intend to become a weapon for someone else to wield, Hiruzen has become a wandering Shinobi. Staying away from any criminal activities, he has become the kind of person that takes down actual Nukenin and other criminal scum and turns them over to the village that currently offers the highest bounty. Given the nickname because he rolls into town, drops of his catch and strides right on out after receiving payment, it is what most bounty collectors and departments have come to know him by. Nickname (Friends): Hiru, Saizo, Sai or simply Hiruzen Age: 20 years old Gender: Male Appearance: As a young adult, Hiruzen looks slightly older than he actually is. Now that he matured a bit over the past two years, his hair grew out quite a bit, no longer being spiky, shaggy hair of mid length as his pony has grown so far that it needs to be parted to the side so that it does not obscure his vision while the back of his head has hair that falls almost all the way down to the base of his neck. With his pair of dark yet kind eyes and slightly tanned skin tone, Hiruzen has outgrown the generic Uchiha appearance and now looks quite different from the rest of his relatives. As a result of his lifestyle, Hiruzen is in great shape, as any shinobi his age should be. Hiruzen's legs have well toned muscles, as do his upper arms, though they are not bulky and restricting in battle. While otherwise free of any wounds, he has one scar on his right shoulder as a result of a wound sustained when he was on a high ranking mission, the result of a shuriken passing through his flesh. Hiruzen weighs 76 kilograms and stands at a height of 1,83m (6,0ft). For a shinobi, his height and weight are not that special, falling in the same category of most male ninja.
His Casual attire exists out of black clothing, this being his favorite color. Most of the time, he will wear a black sweater, a hoody or simply a black sleeveless shirt, though this does not happen often. Taking a strong liking towards clothes that cover his arms and legs, the only time he can be seen wearing just a shirt is when it is simply too hot outside for anything else. As a man, he is not too fond of wearing jewelry such as rings and necklaces. Sticking to black slacks and loose dark jeans, Hiruzen enjoys his freedom of movement both in and out of battle. In terms of footwear, he usually sticks to black sneakers or short boots. On a rare occasion, Hiruzen can be seen wearing a scarf, preferring to wear something with a fairly long collar. In general, Hiruzen does not wear a lot of Uchiha clan clothing.
His Combat attire exists out of his forehead protecting headband, a black bodysuit with long sleeves and a tight collar, a pair of black gloves with steel plates on the back and a dark red flak jacket bearing the Kumogakure village symbol on the right side of his chest. Due to the fact that he wears a black bodysuit under his flak jacket, his legs are also covered in the same black fabric. His flak jacket has several compartments where he stores his tools for quick access. On his right and on his left hip, Hiruzen has special holsters carrying a stack of explosive tags, allowing the Uchiha to reach for his explosives and apply them as fast as humanly possible. Aside from his holsters, his Kunai and Shuriken are placed inside the compartments of his flak jackets.
Around his waist, Hiruzen wears a white sash that bears the Uchiha crest in the center, a testament to his clan. On the left side of his sash, there is a small satchel filled with steel wire and small tools such as a file. On the right side of the satchel is a single kunai, placed there so Hiruzen can quickly reach down and take out a bladed weapon if he needs to defend himself in a hurry. Finally, he wears black boots with a special padding under it's soles that allow for more grip on various surfaces and allowing chakra to push through for the water walking and tree climbing techniques. Personality: As a shinobi that no longer affiliates himself with the village he once hailed from, Hiruzen is considered by many to be a Nukenin, though he considers himself to be more of a wanderer as he has not exactly done anything to hurt the village. Finding the terms used to describe him to be a bit dramatic, he knows that people are not exactly wrong either when they call him a Shōten "Death Dealer" or a Tensai "Natural Disaster". Though he does not have the urge to kill those who wrong him, a certain amount of killing intent can be sensed about him. This is not because he wishes to do harm unto people but because he is incredibly self-conscious about how powerful he is and that everyone that gets on his bad side is someone he can destroy should he feel inclined to do so. Ever since Hiruzen left the village behind to become his own man, he has always held a grudge towards the village for the horrible things they have put him through, but most of all for setting him back in his ascension to becoming the greatest shinobi of his time.
Many who meet him believe that he is overconfident, though this is really not the case. Having spent many years training as a Kumogakure shinobi, Hiruzen has also spent a lot of time around the Ninja monks in the Lightning and the Fire temple, as well as with the Samurai in the Iron temple. In there, he has learned how to be humble, though he only ever is when he feels like it. Due to all of the things he learned once he became a wanderer, the people he fought and the incredibly skilled people he trained with, he has become "Confident" because he knows exactly what the boundaries to his own powers are. As a wanderer, one of the things he takes most pleasure in is finding ways in which to increase either his knowledge or add to his arsenal of techniques. Being aware of the fact that he has reached his physical peak, he knows that there is really no limit to the amount of things he can store in his mind or to how many techniques he can master.
Having once set out on a quest for his grandfather to help the Lightning temple figure out ancient symbols in a hidden room beneath the temple itself, Hiruzen came to learn that they were part of an ancient language. Traveling all over the world to both understand the language and study the long lost culture it belonged to, he has learned techniques and forms of jutsu execution no one else in the world would ever come to possess. Thanks to this, he is always figuring out the next place he needs to visit in order to unearth more lost knowledge for his own purposes. However, of all the manners in which he likes to garner more power, there is none quite like fighting in his eyes. Loving the rush he gets when adrenaline pumps through his veins and when weapons clash against one another, his Sharingan analyzes and memorizes all kinds of techniques it can pick up, adding them to his arsenal. To this end, he is always in search of strong opponents to challenge in order to figure out whether they have techniques for him to assimilate.
However, there is also a different side to Hiruzen that usually manifests itself when he is challenged by others or when he figures out that his opponent is beneath him. When this happens, he tends to impart some of the things he has learned upon them for the sake of their own improvement. This is not something that happens out of the good of his heart, but rather as a means of helping them improve faster so they can challenge him again when they get stronger. Knowing no greater joys in life then when he makes a breakthrough with his studies or when he gets to fight a powerful, the Uchiha is not an exceptionally bad or good man. All there is to know about him is that Hiruzen is a man that wants to enjoy life and push himself as far as he can possibly go. In doing so, there are bound to be people that grow to dislike him and people that grow to like him, but as far as he is concerned, he does not truly care either way.
THE NINJA.

Combat Style: Unlike the vast majority of the Uchiha clan, Hiruzen does not count on his Sharingan to win his battles for him. He does use it often when fighting people that are unknown to him or targets that may have a thing or two up his sleeve that he can copy. Relying on his physical speed and agility to keep him out of trouble and help him close and potentially increase the distance between him and his target. His speed and agility allow the young Uchiha to quickly maneuver around attacks without having to exert to much of his own chakra, positioning himself in a manner from which he will be able to launch an attack of his own. Using his speed to get in close proximity of his target will usually be followed up with a potent Genjutsu or an earth style technique. If it is instead used to gain some distance, chances are that it will be a prelude to a series of fire style techniques.
Though he does not specialize in Taijutsu, Hiruzen is still more than capable enough to take down most of the shinobi within the boundaries of his own rank by using a mixture of his own speed and basic weaponry such as shuriken and kunai. If need be, he will use his Sharingan as a means of figuring out his enemy's trajectory and adjust his throw so that his projectiles will hit their mark. His Taijutsu techniques are limited to the basic Strong Fist taijutsu utilized by most of the basic physical combatants, showing that he is at least potent in close ranged unarmed combat. Being the kind of person that truly aims to win once he gets himself ready, every move he makes is meant to toss his opponent into a place where he can then strike again, following up one attack with another until he is certain that he has them exactly where they want them to be before springing his traps.
To help him spring his well thought out traps, he often uses a shadow clone to back him up, something he is very well accustomed to. Having two active Sharingan on the battlefield is always a useful thing to have, using one to perform a technique he will then take advantage off. When one uses an earth style technique to entrap the target, Hiruzen himself will tie his own attack in on it and use fire style to scorch the trapped opponent to a smoldering crispy version of their former self. While not heavily relying on it, Hiruzen will occasionally use his Sharingan as a means of shifting the battle into his favor when he is forced to fight in a manner he is not used to. If his target is truly a skilled combatant, he will use and keep his Sharingan active in order to keep himself on top. Doing so to increase his own survivability in combat, his manner of fighting is the reason why the Uchiha are feared combatants and renowned to be the mightiest clan in the shinobi world.

Name: [Tier IV] Elite Evasiveness Rank: S Type: Physical Prerequisites: Character must have “Advanced Evasiveness” Special Characteristic. Training: A 2000 word training post is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: The Character must have either Taijutsu, Weaponry, or Medical as one of their specialties. Character may not have the "Lightning Speed", “Titan Endurance”, or “Herculean Strength” Special characteristics. Description: At the highest level of ability in regards to their natural skill and knowledge with their body, a possessor of this Special Characteristic can be seen as quite possibly the most flexible person you shall ever meet. In conjunction with this natural level of flexibility, with proper study they are more than likely to be a Master Acrobat and as such capable of making aerialist maneuvers that take the nature of their evasive maneuverings even further.. It goes without saying that it is nearly impossible to catch one with this Special Characteristic off balance due to their ability to move their body in such ways. Trade Off: While users of this characteristic are indeed extremely flexible, their bones are still quite rigid. Too frequent and too extreme of a dodge can lead to them breaking their own bones contorting themselves around an attack, and thus caution must be taken.

Name: Elite Perception Rank: S rank Type: Mental Based Physical Requirements: Must have Keen Perception Training Requirements: A 2000 word training post is required to gain this special characteristic. Description: At this stage, the shinobi has trained their skill in perception and analyzing their environment to the point where nothing slips by them. Every physical motion is identified and picked up whether its a movement in a leaf or a change in temperature. This skill is handy when faced with Genjutsu, as it gives the user the capacity to quickly identify they are in an illusion with very minimal clues. However although they can figure out the Genjutsu they must rely on other methods of breaking the spell. The ninja also becomes extremely perceptive and observant when it comes to people, being able to pick out mood changes or better understand character. In addition, this skill becomes useful in combat, where the Ninja grows to understand the patterns, habits and the 'rhythm' of the opponent over periods of time. At this higher rank, either the User is able to spot 'more', spot faster or both. What makes this skill stand out from it's former rank is the fact that the user can even feel vibrations in the ground in a 20 meter radius around them. Though this allows the user to figure out the general direction of the vibration and a rough estimate as to how many people there are, it can become more accurate by placing a finger to the ground and focusing on the vibrations. In doing so, the user can feel exactly how many people are within a 30m radius, how fast they are moving and even how heavy they are by the differentiation in the strength of the vibrations, though this drops to the point of just making rough estimates when the people moving within the radius exceeds three.
Name: Hiruzen Shiki: Kanchi Rank: S rank Type: Mental Based Physical Requirements: Chakra Sensory & Elite Perception Training Requirements: 1600 words Description: After years of using his extra-sensory ability to sense chakra, further studying various forms of chakra and increasing his own perceptive qualities, Hiruzen has risen above the basic "Sensor Ninja", allowing him to see more in less time. It was named after himself as he is the only person that mastered this particular and unique form of sensory and the method through which it is being performed. At this level of mastery, Hiruzen has refined the art of sensory to not only increase the level of perception possessed by his active sensory, but also increasing the potency of his combat sensory and sensing of stealthed targets.
Stationary Sensory (Active): Now, the stationary form of active chakra sensory is increased to a range of 200 meters in which he can more accurately pin-point their location as well as the size of their chakra pool. When he closes his eyes and focuses on his sixth sense, he is capable of seeing small humanoid silhouettes in his surroundings that tell him where exactly to find his enemies. More so, his ability to sense stretches to the point where he can even see the chakra flow in barriers and the points that maintain them. Within a 100 meter range, he can tell exactly how much chakra points a person has in their chakra pool, allowing him to tell whether the people he will be dealing with have more or less chakra than he has. Adding to this is the ability to tell when his targets are nearing the point of exhaustion and figure out the exact level of exhaustion they are experiencing by knowing how much of their chakra has been burned throughout the thread. Additionally, he is capable of reading the stability of their chakra flow and interpret their general mental state on a basic level, allowing him to figure out whether they are frightened, excited etc.
Combat Sensory (Basic): Being more than capable of sensing when someone enters a 40 meter radius through basic sensory, the combat form of chakra sensory, he is capable of roughly knowing where others are while no longer being bound to just sensing familiar chakra signatures. Though it is a far cry from the potency of his active sensory, Hiruzen can see how much chakra points one has left in their chakra pool by focusing his attention on them. Due to his highly perceptive nature, Hiruzen is not bound by the muddling of chakra in either state as his accurate sensing developed past the level of the generic sensor nin.

Name: Blurred Hand Movement IV Rank: S Type: Skill Based Prerequisites: Must posses Blurred Hand Movement III. Training: A 2000 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Description: A skillful and convenient characteristic that is learned to those who have practiced in the art of hand speed movement in nearly all forms. There are many uses for this characteristic as it can enhance nearly all forms of specializations. It is essentially the practice of moving and manipulating your hands with expert efficiency to the point where they become extremely blurred. Keen Perception users can see the seals, but vaguely. With this special characteristic a ninja can perform hand seals four times faster than counterparts without it.
Name: Uchiha Elite Rank: S rank Type: Skill Based Prerequisites: Must have Ninjutsu Master. Training: A 2000 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: Must be of the Uchiha Clan. Description: This kind of Ninjutsu mastery is reserved for those whose power and knowledge in Ninjutsu could be considered legendary among even the Uchiha that are known for their skill as shinobi. Through intensive training, controlling large amounts of chakra and practice of the ninja arts, the ninja has attained a vast knowledge of both chakra and Ninjutsu and can identify every generic technique. As a result of this understanding of chakra manipulation and transformation, the user is capable of creating more elaborate jutsu. With their now flawless chakra control and knowledge of Ninjutsu, the cost of each Ninjutsu technique is reduced by 40% (rounded up) while the use of their Sharingan now comes natural to him and costs 2cp less to maintain. Fire Mastery: As a true Uchiha, the user has mastered the fire style, reducing the cost of a technique of that element by a total of 50% (Rounded up) and may also exhibit a particular, unique aesthetic effect. Does not apply to Advanced Elements. Effect: Hiruzen has mastered the fire style to the point where his flames take on a violet color. While the lesser jutsu are not all that frightening, the larger scale fire jutsu can appear quite frightening to the point where one may even consider them outlandish or demonic. As a side-effect, the air around him feels rather warm, even in cold environments.

Name: Monstrous Chakra Capacity Rank: S Type: Chakra Based Prerequisites: Must have Enormous Chakra Capacity Training: A 1600 word training is required to gain this special characteristic Restrictions: Effect does not stack with the previous ranks of Chakra Capacity. Description: The ninja's chakra capacity now becomes legendary as it transcends that of any normal ninja would ever possess. The ninja chakra reserves are now stronger than most jinchuriki and those around them can sense the intense power radiating from the user. Those with monstrous chakra capacity have their chakra reserves increased by 65CP.

Name: Demon Shroud Rank: S rank Type: Social Prerequisites: Character must have “Chakra Aura” Special Characteristic. Training: A 1200 word training post is required to gain this special characteristic. Description: Living up to his title "Mashin Shōdo" or "Scorched Earth Demon", Hiruzen is capable of releasing his chakra in a way that can be visibly seen even without chakra sensory when he wants it to. Taking on the appearance of an actual demon, a glance from Hiruzen can leave someone stiff with fear. Used primarily to scare off wild animals that get it into their head that he might make for a good snack without having to wound or kill them, it can strike the fear of death, dismay, disillusion, and/or break down the courage of even some of the strongest men by releasing his Killing Intent in a way that can be witnessed by all. Being primarily used for scare tactics and letting people know that he is not to be taken lightly, this does not have any combat applications against PC's. Color: Hiruzen's chakra takes on a violet hue, a surprisingly vibrant yet intimidating color for a shinobi. Most people seeing it find it rather cheerful and attractive, others considering it to be dark and somewhat frightening.
Name: Street Smarts Rank: C Type: Social Based Prerequisites: - Training: A 600 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: - Description: Being raised in a era of battle and war the ninja has sometimes faced instances where they must gain natural street smarts in order to survive in various situations. Those with this characteristic gains a natural ability of self-preservation which allows them to survive in nearly any society or community by any means necessary. They can hustle Ryo quicker than one could imagine and can hold their own in times of struggle. Ninja with street smarts tend to have a heightened sense of intuition, honor, and fear in their respective communities.
Name: Navigator Rank: C Type: Mental Based Prerequisites: - Training: A 600 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: - Description: The ninja gains a unique skill which allows them to have a natural sense of direction and placement. They always know what time it is, what direction they're facing, and even the temperature. With this skill they are exceptionally good at geography, being capable of identifying landscapes while others would be at a loss. They can essentially survive in any environment and always find routes to their destination.
Name: Strategist Rank: B Type: Social Based Prerequisites: High IQ Training: An 800 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: - Description: A correlation with High IQ, the Strategist SC should be used to describe characters who because of their innate analytically nature have become renown as great strategists. Whether they may have gotten their start mastering games such as Chess, Go or Shogi, there is little to no doubt that those possessing this Special Characteristic will likely ascend to the level of a great General or wartime adviser to the Daimyo themselves. They are marked by their impressive abilities to plan and perceive at levels that generally surpass their colleagues.
Name: Iaidō [Way of Iai] Specialty: Weaponry Emphasis: Kenjutsu Requirements: Weaponry Specialization [Close Range] Description: The term Iaidō (居合道) refers to a specific style of kenjutsu that is concerned with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. The linear motion and force applied to draw the sword from the scabbard results in slashes that are faster and stronger than ones executed with the sword already drawn. The speed at which these techniques can be executed — the initial strike in particular — is such, that when performed by a skilled user, it can prevent enemy shinobi from forming hand seals (and thus ninjutsu), by exploiting the small opening that these movements create. This makes them highly effective against most shinobi.
Name: Kendō [Way of the sword] Specialty: Weaponry Emphasis: Kenjutsu Requirements: Weaponry Specialization [Close Range] Description: Kendō (剣道) is a form of Kenjutsu practiced mainly by the Samurai in the iron country, though it has been taken into the arsenal of many a weaponry expert over the years. Kendō specializes in striking, cutting and defending against other close ranged combatants. Revolving around the use of the Katana, Kendō teaches those that practice it how to mold their body and mind, cultivating a vigorous spirit. Through discipline, those possessing this style will learn how to deflect blows, cut and slice with great precision and speed and in so doing become a master of the Katana. Unlike Iaidō, Kendō is a far more universal and all-purpose style with many different adaptations, making it a style anyone can master if they are willing to spend their time and effort on it.
THE BACKGROUND. Birth Arc: - Shortly after being born to Naori and Seto Uchiha, Hiruzen is left in the hospital under the care of the hospital's staff due to the fact that he was born with his navel cord wrapped around his neck paired with him being a very small baby. - Two months after his birth, Hiruzen's mother was hospitalized after being diagnosed with a case of cancer in it's later stages, making it almost impossible to fully cure. Spending most of the time with her premature child, Naori passes away peacefully in her sleep with a young Hiruzen still held in her arms. - Heartbroken over the loss of his wife, Seto becomes a lot colder towards his relatives and gives up on his life as a shinobi, no longer feeling like protecting a place that failed to save his wife, a woman that had spent most of her life doing what it had failed to do for her. - Believing his son to be the cause of Naori's inability to withstand her sickness due to her health having dropped as a result of child birth, Seto is incapable of loving his son like a father should. Regardless of that, he takes his son home to honor the memory of his late wife but turns to heavy drinking. Early Life Arc: - Several years after the death of his mother, now four years old, Hiruzen is pushed by Seto to pass the rites of the clan so he won't be disgraced by his son in the eyes of the clan. Pushing him to the point of making the boy cry on several occasions, Seto eventually gave up on the boy after stating that the wrong person died in the hospital. - Not having a mother and no longer having a father that cared for him, the child often leaves the village to go to the nearby forest. Meeting up with a group of talking monkeys, Hiruzen learns a lot from them, eventually forgetting the bad things his father said, learning to block out the bad things he'd say in his drunk mood. - By the time he turned five, Hiruzen found himself with the monkeys more and more often, spending his time bathing with them in natural hot springs, searching for tasty fruit to eat and even learning how to mold chakra, he passes the trials of the clan by blowing out a large ball of fire. While his father gets credit for teaching the kid, Hiruzen knows that this was not the case, though he does not speak up about it. Academy Arc: - After passing the Uchiha clan trial. Hiruzen is entered into the Academy by his father's brother, his uncle, Hikaku Uchiha. There, he learns how to better mold his chakra and learns how to perform basic tree climbing and water walking before the rest of his class, something that was already expected by the teachers due to his Uchiha origin. - Learning how to mold Earth chakra somewhere in his sixth year of life, he becomes one of the youngest shinobi in Kumogakure to possess two elemental natures. As a result of his successes as a student in the academy, he begins filling in the time he has to wait for the rest of his class to catch up to him by pulling pranks, this resulting in him learning how to use the Oiroke technique. Using it to tick off his teachers, he is eventually placed in an advanced class. - Passing the academy with straight A's shortly before his seventh birthday, Hiruzen asks his uncle not to tell his father that he passed early, allowing him to fill in the time he would normally spend in the academy with the monkeys in the forest of sanctuary. With the things he learned in the academy, Hiruzen becomes a very nimble and quick individual, his movement reminiscent of a monkey moving through the trees with ease. - A few months after he passed the academy, his father finds out that he had already passed a while ago, throwing a tantrum at both Hiruzen and Hikaku. Being put in his place by Hikaku, the drunkard receives a beating after trying to punch the man. After being knocked to the ground, he is scolded for his behavior and is told that he is not fit to be a father and that Naori's death almost caused their son to not have a future as anything more than a beaten dog. - Straightening himself out after that day, Seto enters back into the shinobi forces and enters the KYOBU, now being in the same cell he once ruled as Captain. Having a more stable life now, Hiruzen still sticks to his monkey friends as opposed to spending his time at home, even though his father was not home all that often anyway. Genin Arc: - As a Genin, Hiruzen sees more of his country and of the lesser nations surrounding it, going on missions with his teammates, Shizuka Samatage, Shinji Kousen, Hakumei Kyoukkuo and their Sensei, Moroi Kousen, the members of Team 4. Due to one of his teammates being a younger brother to their Sensei, several tense situations rose up, requiring Hiruzen to act like a goofball as a means to keep them from complained and bitching at one another. - After two years of being a team, Team 4 is sent to the land of forests to take a scroll containing the name of the person chosen to take over as the new Daimyou of the country. Due to the gravity of the mission, only Moroi is informed of the value of the scroll and the rank of the mission they are on. Shortly after receiving the scroll, the group is surrounded by several skilled shinobi. Handing the scroll to his younger brother Shinji, Moroi creates an opening with his storm release through which Shizuka, Shinji, Hakumei and Hiruzen escape. - Having run into the remnants of an old black ops faction from the land of forests, the Prajñã group pursues the group of Genin in an attempt to take the scroll from them, leaving no survivors. Trying to buy time for the team, Shizuka stays back to create and maintain a chakra shield to keep their pursuers at bay. Finding that this could only stop them for a few seconds, she is soon taken off guard by one of the black ops members coming up from behind, severing her spine with a Tanto before chasing after the remaining members of Team 4. - Closing in on the rendezvous point set by Moroi, a shuriken grazes Hiruzen's shoulder, causing him to bleed quite a bit. As the group of Prajñã hunters closes in on them, a group of KYOBU enter the fray from the treeline, having awaited the return of Team 4 at the rendezvous point. Turning out to be the same group that Hikaku and Seto were a part of, Shinji, Hakumei and Hiruzen turn to fight, aiding their back-up troops. - Fighting for several tens of minutes without end, both sides take heavy loses as projectiles and underhanded assassination techniques pick shinobi off. Protecting Hakumei from a series of earthen spikes, Shinji dies as a human shield, ensuring Hakumei's survival. Killing the man responsible by stabbing him in the throat with a Kunai, Hiruzen makes his first kill, leaving him in a state of shock. - Becoming an easy target for the Prajñã, Hikaku and Seto fall back, relocating the boy and keeping the projectiles from hitting him and shoving the scroll they had recovered from Shinji's corpse up his shirt. Picking up Hakumei, Hikaku is told to retreat with the Genin and the scroll, leaving the remaining KYOBU behind to take down the remnants of the Prajñã and ensuring the missions success. Chuunin Arc: - Several days later, Hiruzen wakes up in the hospital with Hakumei in the bed next to him. Due to the shock of killing a man and watching so many of his friends and allies die over something he did not understand, he had been sleeping for several days in succession. When he awoke, Hikaku told him that his father, the KYOBU members and the members of Team 4 had been killed to make sure he and Hakumei survived to bring the scroll back to Kumogakure no Sato. Drowning in feelings of despair, sorrow and pain, Hiruzen awakens his Sharingan for the first time in his life. - Due to the half assed success of the mission and to make up for the severe losses the village had suffered at the hand of the Prajñã, Hiruzen and Hakumei are promoted to the rank of Chuunin. Thinking it to be best if he gave Hakumei as much space as she needed due to the fact that Shinji had given his life to protect her, the two grew apart and rarely spoke to one another again. The loss of almost all of his friends and a part of his family had been devastating, making Hiruzen stay indoors for several days until Hikaku stopped by one day, handing him the sash his father always wore into battle, as well as an old Tanto. - Choosing not to take down the same road his father took when he fell into depression and turned to drinking because of his loss, Hiruzen decided that he would spend his life trying to rebuild what Kumogakure had lost that day. Making a silent vow to himself that he would do whatever was required to protect his village from the shadows like his father had down before him, he included his father's old sash in his combat attire to show his enemies that they were facing an Uchiha. - Spending the rest of his time becoming a better shinobi, tactician, unarmed brawler, Sharingan combatant and individual, he aimed to become a part of the KYOBU or the Protective Service unit, just like he had done when he was still a child. This time however, his dream could become realized, having enough incentive to go through with all of the rough training he had to undergo if he was to even be considered for such a role. Feeling the spirits of his fallen family and friends around him, he knew that he would succeed, not for himself, but for the people he had lost.

While it seems minor, it can make a big difference when fighting someone in close quarters as the enemy may not be focused on the ground when focusing on the enemy in front of him. While chakra is used to maintain the technique, contact with the soil is all that is needed in order to slightly alter the terrain. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Doton Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target, but none utilizing chakra. The range of the clone is limited however, it can travel no further than 10 meters from the original body. Name: Raishuu Hikiryou [Attack Displacement] Rank: B rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/a Element: Doton Description: A technique developed mainly for infiltration or assassination purposes, this technique allows Hiruzen to merge into the earth faster than the Douchuu Senkou Technique. As opposed to having to dig his way through, he will move through the earth itself at a relatively high speed. Due to merging with the earth, Hiruzen will feel all vibrations caused by movement very strongly within 10 meters, allowing him to know where to appear when he needs to flee and where he needs to go in order to catch someone off guard for an assassination attempt. Name: Doryuu Taiga [Earth Dragon Flow River] Rank: B rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10m Element: Doton Description: After forming the needed hand seal and slamming his palm to the ground, Hiruzen transforms the ground underneath their opponent into a river of mud that throws them off balance and removes their footing. While those who have the Water Walking Technique active can walk over it, the instantaneous transition between regular earth to a mud stream is enough to catch someone off-guard. The direction of the stream is chosen upon casting the jutsu, forcing the target into a certain direction if they get swept away. Name: Chidokaku - Moving Earth Core Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Mid (0m - 10m range)(0m - 10m high) Element: Doton (Earth) Description: Doton • Chidokaku is a multipurpose jutsu that grants the user the ability to lower or raise the ground in the surrounding area, allowing them to create giant holes or elevations in the ground. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered or raised to is also up to the user. With precise timing, this technique can be used to evade incoming attacks, as well as to endanger opponents by moving them into the path of an oncoming attack reducing their reaction time as well as knocking them off balance, making it even harder to avoid the attack. Other than being moved below or above ground — relative to the surrounding surface — the terrain is not altered as plant life and people retain their same positions when this technique is used. The ninja does the necessary hand seals and then emits a series of small fire balls. The ninja can also hurl a projectile which is covered in these same flames. To the opponent the attack appears to be only the balls of flame, they do not see the hidden threat within the flames. Meaning that even if the flames are put out, the projectiles still converge on the target. The flames can be used to cover different projectiles like shuriken or kunai. Chakra Cost: 5

To better manage the flames the ninja will bring their hand to their mouth to control it.

Name: Gouryuuka no Jutsu - Great Dragon Fire Technique Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m), Far (10+) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: The user compresses a large amount of chakra built up inside their body and changes it into a dragon-shaped fireball. The user then skillfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. Even outside of the attack range, its power and reliability are stressed. The flames have a high temperature, as they can create an upward movement of air currents which in turn can give rise to thunder clouds. A master of this technique can fire off several flames in succession and anyone caught in the technique could be severely burned. No more than 3 extra fireballs may be created. Name: Uchiha Daiendan [Uchiha Great Flame Sphere] Rank: B rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10m Element: Katon Description: An advanced form of the Goukakyuu technique, this technique is slightly faster and highly destructive. Firing from the mouth like the regular jutsu, the sphere blasts forth with a loud roar and will knock away and incinerate lesser obstacles such as small trees and small rocks but will explode upon hitting it's target, hitting a solid object or upon reaching the maximum distance it can travel. The explosion is strong enough to blow large chunks out of most buildings and can leave painful bruises, second degree burns and even blow away fingers or toes during the initial moment of impact. Name: Eikō no Honō [Blaze of Glory] Rank: A rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close [0 - 5m] Element: Katon Description: After forming and holding the seal known as the Dhyāna Mudrā over his stomach, he will channel and condense large amounts of fire chakra and materialize them in the form of burning violet wings on his back. Each wing is four meters in length, one and a half meter wide and is controlled through Hiruzen's mind and chakra manipulation, though this comes at the cost of constantly being channeled and not being able to use any other jutsu while the wings are active. One ability granted by the wings is the ability to wrap them in a dome around himself and protect himself from other fire techniques and basic projectiles. The other is to grant a lesser form of flight caused by manipulating air moisture and creating a thermalling effect after which the wings will act as a glider. Capable of reaching speeds equal to moving twice as fast as the average shinobi, Hiruzen has a great maneuverability due to the wings acting almost like an extra pair of limbs. While he is in fact capable of flying through these means, the lifts he creates through his wings can be destroyed by lesser wind based techniques and even other fire techniques that can overheat the lifts and destroy the ideal circumstances needed to fly. When the wings take damage, they can be reformed for 15cp. After the jutsu is deactivated or reaches the seventh post of being active, it can not be used for another three posts. Name: Bakufuu Ranbu [Blast Wave Wild Dance] Rank: A rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: 6m diameter Element: Katon Description: A technique that is used to either set the surrounding area on fire or push away several hostiles or force them to face the lethal force of the attack, Hiruzen first forms and molds chakra in his mouth before spinning on his feet. During this spin, he will release a continuous torrent of fire that is shaped like a vortex. Reaching out for twelve meters around him, the fire will keep lashing out to any who would be stupid enough to get within range of this jutsu. This technique has the potential to rapidly reduce the landscape to ashes and kill those who fail to properly defend themselves against it by inflicting third degree burns. As such, it is wise to get out of range once Hiruzen starts spinning as it attacks everyone around him without bias. Chakra Cost: 22cp
Name: Karyuu Endan [Fire Dragon Flame Bullet] Rank: A rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: 15m max Element: Katon Description: Hiruzen kneads his chakra into flames, which are then manipulated into a three meters tall genuine-looking dragon. Since the art of having the flames obey the user's will is outrageously difficult, its mastery is restricted to a limited number of skillful shinobi. The flames are divided to launch a left side, right side, and frontal assault in all three directions at once, turning the enemy into ash during prolonged contact. This means that even if the frontal assault is stopped, there are still the two flanking flames to look out for. As such, this is the perfect jutsu to utilize against shields as 2/3rd of the attack will just move around it and still make it dangerous. Chakra Cost: 24cp
Name: Goka Messhitsu (Great Fire Destruction) Rank: A rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10m Element: Katon Description: A technique where chakra kneaded inside the user's body is converted into fire, and then expelled from the mouth in a massive stream of intense flames that can set a vast area ablaze, engulfing the target in a veritable sea of flames. While similar to Goka Mekkyaku, Goka Messhitsu's flames are only four meters wide, allowing it to reach further than Goka Mekkyaku. The constant flow of the fire causes third degree burns on impact and fourth degree burns during prolonged contact. If used upon dense, combustible terrain such as a forest, the confined area can greatly increase the possibility of the target's incineration. B rank+ Suiton techniques can block this jutsu. Name: Goka Mekkyaku (Great Fire Annihilation) Rank: S rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: 20m (10m wide) Element: Katon Description: A technique where chakra is kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and then expelled from the mouth and shaped into a massive wall of intense flames, which covers a wide range as well. This makes the technique extremely difficult to either avoid or contain, with it requiring the combined efforts of several water release users or a large scale water technique in order to extinguish the flames because of it being so very wide. To be hit by this technique means instantaneous incineration followed by death. A rank+ jutsu can block the fire, though it may not stop the full attack due to it moving around the sides in case of smaller shields (Shields that are less than 10m wide). Chakra Cost: 39cp

Name: Henge no Jutsu • Transformation Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique transforms the user’s appearance to that of another object or person. However, it is not a permanent transformation and a mental image of what they are transformed into. Certain aspects of a ninja will not change merely by transformation, these things may include injuries, tool pocket placements etc. The jutsu will dispel should the user be injured. The user does not gain the properties of their transformation (ie. horse like strength), and may only transform into something ranging between 1/2 of their regular size, to 2x their regular size. Thus one cannot transform into large creatures. Chakra Cost: 1
Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu • Body Replacement Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10 meters Element: N/A Description: After performing a tiger seal, this technique allows the user to alter places in a speedy manner with another nearby object. This is done mere seconds before an attack lands, thus making the attacker believe his or her attack was a success. Whatever object was used to alter places will receive the brunt of the enemy’s attack instead. The object that the user switches with must be preset somewhere else in the thread, meaning that the object must have received specific mention previously in the thread. Chakra Cost: 2

This can also be used on another individual that is stuck in a genjutsu by preforming the necessary hand seal and then touching them, although it consumes half the chakra cost of the Genjutsu. Using their physical training, the user will twist and contort their body to loosen their bindings, effectively relieving themselves of the tightness of their bindings and slipping through the restraints. Name: Chozou no Jutsu • Storage Technique Rank: E Type: Fuuinjutsu, Supplementary Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: A simple jutsu that allows a ninja to seal or unseal any item, mostly weapons, from scrolls or from their body. After forming the necessary handsigns, the ninja will seal the item into a scroll etc. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. The items themselves are unaffected by time. Ninjutsu can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened, but require another person to cast said Ninjutsu; else it cannot be sealed. Chakra Cost: 1 to seal; 1 to unseal.
Name: Suimen Hokou no Waza • Act of Water Surface Walking Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: NA Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on water by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet or hands. Because of water’s nature, this requires the user to be quick to adjust the amount of chakra they must emit to their feet in order to maintain a constant balance. Users may also walk, run and “skate” across the water when using this technique. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
Name: Kinobori no Waza • Act of Tree Climbing Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on trees and vertical walls by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet. If too much chakra is exerted the user will be pushed away; bark breaking and causing the user to then fall. If not enough chakra is exerted the user will lose their footing and fall. After forming the needed hand seal, the user will place their hand over their head and cause a large amount of mist to gather. This mist is extremely difficult to see through from someone not of Kirigakure, who are used to looking through heavy mists, and are more able to do combat while within said mist. The jutsu involves kneading chakra into the mist, allowing the user to create extremely thick or thin levels of mist. Those with doujutsu or chakra sensing techniques are also able to see through this thick mist but without any aid, then you'll be blind within the mist. A C-Rank Fuuton Jutsu can dispel the mists. Name: Hari Jizou - Underworld Guardian Spikes Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: This is a technique where the user encases themselves in a countless number of sharp needles, but in truth, the spikes are the user's hair. Chakra grants the strands of hair the hardness and shape of needles, endowed with a capacity to injure and kill on par with that of metallic weapons. In addition, if activated in response to an opponent's attack, it can also be used as a counter. The hair is made hard enough that it can withstand blows from certain types of weapons such as arrows. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original. Name: Amatsudama [Heavenly Spheres] Rank: S rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) - Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Changing Requirement: Sharingan Description: The Amatsudama make up one of Hiruzen's strongest close to mid ranged techniques. After forming the required seals (Dokko-in, Gejishi-in, Gebaku-in, Chirichi-in), a chakra aura will rise from his body before compressing into nine tennis-ball sized violet spheres. Floating in a circular formation behind Hiruzen's back, the spheres act like a part of his body. Requiring the active Sharingan to pin-point their movement along with his perceptive skills, the spheres can be used to defend and attack. Making use of the perception and chakra sensory SC, it may look like the balls are moving based on their own will, though they are in fact controlled by Hiruzen's mind. Due to the versatility of this technique, the abilities of the spheres have been broken down and described below. Moving at the speed of a thrown kunai, the spheres make up in mobility what they lack in strength. Most notably is that this jutsu requires his full attention, meaning he can not use Taijutsu or Weaponry based attacks when using the Amatsudama. Due to the versatility of this technique and the strain it places on the brain, the Amatsudama can not be used for more than four posts per thread.
- Defense: By merging all nine of the spheres together into a circular shield or a dome, they can defend against an S ranked technique before dispersing.
- Defense: By altering the elemental chakra make-up of the spheres, they can defend against an S ranked fire or earth natured technique while still remaining functional. If they are to remain active after this, half of their activation cost (19cp) has to be paid to restore the chakra they lost.
- Defense: Each separate sphere can block a B ranked attack before dispersing. In order to restore the lost sphere, a fraction of the upkeep cost (6cp) has to be paid. This version is often used to deflect projectile and close ranged weapons.
- Attack: Separately attacking, each sphere can dish out a B ranked amount of blunt damage, capable of bruising and even breaking bones when the same place is hit repeatedly.
- Attack: By merging three spheres together, this base-ball sized sphere can deal an A ranked amount of damage, capable of breaking bones and sending someone flying at least three meters.
- Attack: By massing all the spheres together into one sphere the size of a basket-ball, they can deal an S ranked amount of damage on impact. This includes breaking bones on the point of impact, rupturing organs, knocking the air out of ones lungs and knocking the opponent off of their feet, sending them flying at least five meters.

Name: Takamagahara: Soukou Seifuku [Plain of High Heaven: Armored Vanquisher] Rank: S rank Type: Ninjutsu Range: 20m tall Element: N/a Formation: After forming the Kongoshin-in, Naibaku-in and then holding the Daikongoshin-in seal, large amounts of Hermit Chakra are being molded and released from the body, creating a large pillar of gold that slowly starts to take on a shape. As the chakra starts taking form, it takes the shape of a twenty meters tall suit of golden armor. The armor takes the appearance of a Samurai Yoroi, having fairly large shoulder plates, armored tassets and a horned helmet with glowing violet eyes. Description: Keeping the creator of the jutsu in it’s center, four meters from each side, it’s moves mimic the moves of the user at all times while staying protected behind the layer of concentrated chakra. Linked with the avatar both physically and mentally, this jutsu is truly a force to be reckoned with as it is only as strong as the one that summoned it. Additionally, the user is completely incapable of using Genjutsu when Soukou Seifuku is active. As it is neither strong nor weak against any elemental nature, any equal ranked attack can break through the armor. Due to the avatar being made out of chakra, the user can choose to spend 30cp in order to reform the broken armor and have it continue fighting as planned. While it is a truly formidable jutsu that is not to be handled carelessly, the same goes for the user as it is highly taxing on one’s chakra pool. The sheer size and weight of the construct means that it can move no faster than 10mps. Because of the complexity of this jutsu, it can only be created once per thread and due to it’s high chakra upkeep it can only be maintained for four posts. A blade forged from dark steel in a period several decades before the era of warring states, Saiketsu, literally translating to "Drawing Blood", was used only once to slay an invading horde of plunderers. Ever since it was used and had shown just how lethal it was, the monk blacksmith that crafted the blade entrusted it to a Shogun of the Iron Country to keep it safe in one of their Samurai temples, believing that the blade had been soaked in too much blood for it to remain pure. The guard is an oval, and the tsuka-ito seems to be braided from white and black material. The blade features several intricate ornaments, most notable is a relief of a dragon at the endpoint of the hilt. The scabbard is black, made of traditional lacquered wood, and features several metallic ornaments on its far end. It also features a yellow sageo, the cord used to tie the katana to the waist. Storage: The blade hangs on Hiruzen's left hip so that it can easily be pulled out of it's scabbard on a whim. It is tied into Hiruzen's sash with the yellow sageo cord attached to the scabbard. Blood Lavender: Saiketsu is a blade that has been made out of a conductive steel that allows it to channel chakra for various offensive and defensive purposes. What makes the blade itself a bit more special than the standard katana is the fact that it has a highly reflective surface which seems to be how the original creator wanted it. Finally, to mask the scent of all the blood that had been spilled by the blade, a powerful lavender scent has been left inside of the scabbard.
