Yuki [雪] is a common abbreviation, often used by the genin's friends or elders. It means "Ice" and is considered by many to aptly reflect the youth's personality. The youth is not actually part of the Clan named Yuki, but due to this nickname, many have accidentally assumed that he is one of its members.

Appearance: Yukichi is not a particularly unique figure, standing at an average five feet, seven inches and weighing a nominal one hundred and eight pounds. The genin is neither outstanding nor abnormal. He seems dutifully average, as any shinobi boy of his age may be, sporting a merely athletic body and a straight, though often relaxed posture. Being neither muscular nor bulky, some regard this as clear proof that Yukichi is not versed in the physical arts, and for that very reason, the youth sports baggy clothing which hides the details of his physical build. That way, an opponent will only be able to prejudge his physical capability.
The youth's hair is relatively short in length, spiky at times but mostly free flowing, and ever so slightly messy, underlining his personality and suggesting it to be lazy, though he is not. Many are fascinated by the colour of his locks, namely, curious about why the large majority of it is darker, whilst the rest – the tips in particular – are light-brown. Despite how ludicrous it may sound, this is in fact Yukichi’s natural hair and not an artificial effect achieved by dyes.
Yukichi sports light-white, slightly pale skin, which together with his ice-blue eyes, insinuates that he is of a cold disposition. The paleness of his skin has led some to believe that the youth is unhealthy or spends too much time locked up inside, but neither belief is true as the youth is not only very active but very social as well. His eyes are said to be impassive, guarded and harsh, and though this may be partially reflective of his personality, at the same time, his eyes do not reflect the whole persona that is Yukichi. His body is not marred by scars nor marked by tattoos.
The youth is regarded to be handsome, regardless of his apparent coldness; some consider his demeanour beautifying. There are a lot of good and strong features about him, right from the slightly gaunt jaw, the high cheekbones and slightly narrowed, careful looking eyes, to an appealing symmetrical look and the overall smooth demeanour that resides within his expressions.
What others may call a strict sense of fashion, Yukichi simply calls a habit – a habit that he developed as a child, seeking it is the youth's habit to wear a different outfit every day, surrounding himself with various colours and fabrics. The genin wears an assortment of different garments, though by large, he favours light and loose articles that feature comfort and allow for an ease of movement. Though Yukichi has yet to form a consistent or favoured 'style', he has a tendency to seek out and portray the current trends, whether intentionally or purely accidentally.

Personality: Yukichi is ever preceded by the first impression his appearance gives to others. Cold? Disinterested? Guarded? Many people consider the youth many things, often mistakenly. It may come as a shock to most, but Yukichi is actually a very typical teenager, with very teenager-like qualities and quirks. He tries desperately to wear a cool, cold mask - a rebellious, self-entitled mask that he sees many other teenagers wearing and therefore tries to emulate. He apparently scoffs at everything - at everyone- at tradition, at his elders, at religion... but in all fairness, this is merely a phase and there is far more to the boy than this. One should know what being a teenager is like.
The youth is first and foremost confident and to an extent, charming. Despite seeming distant and cold, anyone who speaks to Yukichi will know that he is surprisingly easy to talk to, and indeed “easy” is a word that is intertwined with his personality. The youth seems to rarely take anything seriously, seems to always have something funny or sassy to say (even if sarcasm is his tool of humour) and seems at all times to be relaxed, calm and carefree. Many would agree that Yukichi is a good person to talk to, in particular, to vent to or to confide in. The youth seems to know everything and everyone, and yet never reveals his secrets and remains loyal to his friends.
Yukichi is undoubtedly intelligent. He displays considerable social grace, always seemingly saying the right things at the right time. The youth seems capable of great insight and passing on life lessons, which he claims dawn upon him out of nowhere. Indeed his excuse for anything great he does is that it’s simply a random “rare moment of brilliance”. It’s hard to pinpoint why the youth strives so hard to seem humble. Maybe he wants people to underestimate him, but that would suggest a degree of cunning to all his actions. It’s more likely that Yukichi is afraid of being recognised as anything but average, for that would mean more responsibility and a higher workload.
Despite being a social “paragon”, the youth has his darker side – who doesn’t? Namely, a part of him loves combat. Similarly that part of him is ambitious, and strives forever to improve him – to make the youth grow stronger and wiser. Yukichi loves a challenge and jumps on most opportunities to test and further himself. He is passionate about combat and wants to win above all else. He can be horribly stubborn in that regard, and though he would never be unkind to his allies and friends, a certain manipulative side of him shows when confronting enemies, as he uses his words to hurt and to get inside people’s heads.

Combat Style: Being intelligent and manipulative, Yukichi is categorised as extremely hard to fight alongside or fight against. Said to be exceedingly whimsical about his approach to each and every opponent, Yukichi toys with his enemies, then uses his wide and dangerous arsenal of Ninjutsu techniques to win. His approaches often aim to understand the capacity and capabilities of his opponent, in which case clones, speech or other provocative means will be used to bring to light the opponent's skills. From there, Yukichi takes on a very selective and carefully planned approach, using the abilities and techniques he believes to be best suited to deal with his opponent.
Yukichi primarily uses weapons and distractions to damage his opponents and test their abilities, before he resorts to Ninjutsu. With the deadly mix of the Raiton & Katon elements, Yukichi will usually set up a situation where he can trap the opponent so that he has no choice but to get hit by the attack. As a genjutsu user, Yukichi can also destroy the opponent's will to fight through the use of powerful illusions or buy himself time to attack or run away, through the use of simple but clever genjutsu.
Yukichi is said to learn quickly whether from his own mistakes and from the mistakes of his enemy, often remembering, even if only the very bare details, of a Jutsu or a Style the opponent has used. He's quick to pick up on Clans and, being observant, often realises when a trap or illusion is upon him. Therefore the longer the fight goes, the more deadly Yukichi becomes, as he grows to understand his opponent and his shortcomings.

Or at the very least, someone will look at their drawing of a vase and say "Yup, that's a vase" rather than "That's a very absract portrait of the Hokage you have there."
THE BACKGROUND.
- History:
Born into a small family, which consisted of both shinobi and civilians, each and all serving their village in one way or another, Yukichi was a baby of small proportions. There was a fear that he wouldn't survive for too long and yet the tiny boy did so, and eventually grew to become an amiable young man. Yukichi was never forced to become a Shinobi, although his potential was quickly realised and he himself was excited by the prospect.
Yukichi was admitted to the Academy at the usual age, and spent much of his childhood there. Unlike many of his peers Yukichi's past wasn't exactly tragic - he was in fact very normal, which in a shinobi environment, made him very unusual. There was no deaths in the family, no loss of loved ones; no need for revenge or lust for power. As such Yukichi was probably one of the most ordinary kids in class, going through school with a mixture of friends and rivals, low and high grades and boring or excellent days.
The Genin exams were coming up and yet the boy was not perplexed by the idea of testing himself and his abilities. His short life has been building up to this moment and he couldn't, simply, wait. Of course he passed with ease, and the fact that everyone else did made the whole event seem... seem like a joke. Though Yukichi was happy for his peers and his friends, he had wanted for the exam to feel special - a part of him wanted for him to be the sole graduate. The fact that he was just as good as everyone else would not do.
Yukichi graduated at the customary age of thirteen, though, which was rather unusual, rather than become a genin straight away and start working for Kirikagure, Yukichi took time off being a Shinobi. He spent time training on his own and working at his family shop, meanwhile practicing his and growing increasingly skilled at drawing and painting. It would be some time before he came back to take up his Genin duties, but when that time came, Yukichi was hopeful that things would be different this time. This time, he would be different... he would be the best.
In the time that Yukichi was a “civilian”, a change of leadership occurred in the village, so that when the boy re-entered the world of shinobi, now a teenager with a little more experience than the fresh-academy student he was three years ago, he found himself a genin under the employ of an older, seemingly wiser Mizukage. Uncertain how or if this would affect his career, the boy awaited his team assignment, both with a mixture of dread and eagerness.

However, they hold no actual substance and will disperse upon impact of an attack or contact with an opponent. They cannot disrupt the area around themselves with their movements; won’t kick up dust, crush grass, etc. They are simply optical illusions used to momentarily fool others. Name: Henge no Jutsu • Transformation Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique transforms the user’s appearance to that of another object or person. However, it is not a permanent transformation and a mental image of what they are transformed into. Certain aspects of a ninja will not change merely by transformation, these things may include injuries, tool pocket placements etc. The jutsu will dispel should the user be injured. The user does not gain the properties of their transformation (ie. horse like strength), and may only transform into something ranging between 1/2 of their regular size, to 2x their regular size. Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu • Body Replacement Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10 meters Element: N/A Description: After performing a tiger seal, this technique allows the user to alter places in a speedy manner with another nearby object. This is done mere seconds before an attack lands, thus making the attacker believe his or her attack was a success. Whatever object was used to alter places will receive the brunt of the enemy’s attack instead. The object that the user switches with must be preset somewhere else in the thread, meaning that the object must have received specific mention previously in the thread. Chakra Cost: 2

This can also be used on another individual that is stuck in a genjutsu by preforming the necessary hand seal and then touching them, although it consumes half the chakra cost of the Genjutsu. Name: Nawanuke no Jutsu • Escaping Skill Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to free themselves should they be tied up. It is extremely basic. Using their physical training, the user will twist and contort their body to loosen their bindings, effectively relieving themselves of the tightness of their bindings and slipping through the restraints. This technique can only be used if the user is of equal or higher rank than their captor. Chakra Cost: 1
Name: Chozou no Jutsu • Storage Technique Rank: E Type: Fuuinjutsu, Supplementary Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: A simple jutsu that allows a ninja to seal or unseal any item, mostly weapons, from scrolls or from their body. After forming the necessary handsigns, the ninja will seal the item into a scroll etc. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. The items themselves are unaffected by time. Ninjutsu can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened, but require another person to cast said Ninjutsu; else it cannot be sealed. Chakra Cost: 1 to seal; 1 to unseal.
Name: Suimen Hokou no Waza • Act of Water Surface Walking Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: NA Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on water by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet or hands. Because of water’s nature, this requires the user to be quick to adjust the amount of chakra they must emit to their feet in order to maintain a constant balance. Users may also walk, run and “skate” across the water when using this technique. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
Name: Kinobori no Waza • Act of Tree Climbing Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on trees and vertical walls by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet. Gravity can easy be defined if this technique is mastered, allowing people to even stand upside down. If too much chakra is exerted the user will be pushed away; bark breaking and causing the user to then fall. If not enough chakra is exerted the user will lose their footing and fall. After doing the necessary hand seals, the ninja draws chakra to their lungs before swiftly exhaling it, allowing them to blow a jet of fire from their mouth. Depending on the rank at which it is performed, Endan ranges in size and heat. Starting at a moderate level of heat and a reach of up to 3m, at D rank, and increasing in temperature to an intense heat and up to a 10m reach, when performed at A rank. The ninja does the necessary hand seals, draws chakra from their mouth into their chest and them immediately exhales it. They then blow a stream of fire which erupts into a large sphere of flames. To better manage the flames the ninja will bring their hand to their mouth to control it. Chakra Cost: 5 (2 per post) Name: Housenka no Jutsu - Mythical Fire Phoenix Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: Katon • Housenka no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. The ninja does the necessary hand seals and then emits a series of small fire balls. The ninja can also hurl a projectile which is covered in these same flames. To the opponent the attack appears to be only the balls of flame, they do not see the hidden threat within the flames. Meaning that even if the flames are put out, the projectiles still converge on the target. The flames can be used to cover different projectiles like shuriken or kunai. Chakra Cost: 5 Name: Ryuuka no Jutsu - Dragon Fire Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: The user breathes fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon. Chakra Cost: 5 Name: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu - Mist Waltz Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball. Chakra Cost: 8 Name: Katon Bunshin no Jutsu - Fire Clone Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Katon Description: Katon Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes fire to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Katon Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target, but none utilizing chakra. The range of the clone is limited however, it can travel no further than 10 meters from the original body. Name: Kangekiha - Inspiration Wave Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Raiton (Lightning) Description: The user will first create a protective wall of water (must be done with a water technique, it is not included with just this technique). They will then form the needed hand seal and emit a bolt of electricity into the water which will increase its defensive effectiveness and stun any targets who attempt to pass through. The electricity only affects the water for the post it is used, and the stunning effect only lasts as long as the user is making contact with the water. Chakra Cost: 6 Name: Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder Rank: C-A Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Raiton (Lightning) Description: This technique allows the user to create a wave of electricity from their hands. The user can vary its power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. Chakra Cost: C (5), B (10), A (20) Name: Raiton Bunshin no Jutsu - Lightning Clone Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Raiton Description: Raiton Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes electricity to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Raiton Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target, but none utilizing chakra. Name: Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu - Mist Servant Technique Rank: D Type: Genjutsu Medium: Optical Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: - Description: Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that creates up to 5 false attackers to delay and confuse the enemy. Though these servants are not real, the actual ninja is able to remain hidden and throw kunai and shuriken matching the movements of the servants. This makes it appear the false servants are capable of attacking. When the enemy attempts to attack the servant, they will merely disrupt the servants illusion body but not destroy it. If these clones leave 5m radius of the caster, they will disappear. Chakra Cost: 4 (1 per post)

Name: Magen • Narakumi no Jutsu - Demonic Illusion • Hell Viewing Technique Rank: D Type: Genjutsu Medium: Single-Target Range: Line of Sight Element: - Description: Magen • Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the serpent hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. If the target sees these leaves, the Gen jutsu will be cast. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion. Chakra Cost:4 (1 per post)
Name: Flower Petal Escape Rank: C Type: Genjutsu Medium: Optical Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: - Description: If the user comes under attack, she or he can use this technique to cover her or his escape. After forming the needed hand seals, the user's body will disperse into a shower of flower petals. These petals will confuse and distract her or his opponent while she or he escapes or hides. This technique works very similarly to substitution, but can also be used to delude the enemy with more flower petal based Genjutsu. Chakra Cost: 5
Name: Kori Shinchuu no Jutsu - Sly Mind Affect Technique Rank: C Type: Genjutsu Medium: Multi-Target Range: Far (0m - 25m) Element: - Description: Kori Shinchuu no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique which causes the target to travel around in circles. If the ninja is unable to detect the illusion very quickly, they can become exhausted mentally and physically when they are unable to reach their desired target by traveling along the same path over and over. The caster must remain in the shadows, or within 25m of the targets to maintain this Genjutsu. Only 3 people may be influenced by this Genjutsu at one time. Chakra Cost: 7 (2 per post)
Name: Magen • Jigoku Gouka no Jutsu - Demonic Illusion • Hell Fire Technique Rank: C Type: Genjutsu Medium: Optical Range: Far (0m - 30m) Element: - Description: After the user forms the needed handseals, a huge ball of fire will descend from the sky to envelope his or her target. The victims of the genjutsu will believe they are being engulfed by a torrent of fire and flee their location for safety. The fireball cannot reach further than 30m. Chakra Cost: 8 (2 per post)

It takes a whole set of turns in order for the apparatus to recharge after usage, the duration of recharge is equal to the duration of use, therefore 2 post recharge for C rank usage and so on. You may only have D-rank Equipment. Please remove the C-rank items. (Genin Kit not included in this statement of course).
- Since this is a Genin application you should be aiming for at least 450 words on your appearance and history, if not more. Please add more detail to your appearance and history. More the merrier.

Where did that come from? C rank shinobi can own C rank equipment. You can add C ranks back in, Chris.
Also, your FC's Source is the series, not the site in which you found the image.
After these are done you're good to go. |
