| Toketsu, RyoTHE INFO. Name:Toketsu, Ryo Nickname: Age:16 Gender: Male Appearance: Ryo stands at 5'11 and weighs 170 pounds, he is slightly taller and bigger than an average male of his age. He keeps his bangs dyed white while the rest of his hair is naturally blue, at a young age his mother would always joke that his hair was blue due to the fact that he spends a lot of time around water. Ryo eye color was a result of co-dominance, his father's green eye and mother's brown eyes made his hazel. His facial expressions, outside of combat, are usually soft and polite. However in combat he has a determined and stern look about him. Muscle wise while he is not that big or defined he certainly is in shape. His skin, when dry, is usually smooth however since he spends time in the water makes his rather wrinkled. When it comes to his face he is near the spit and image of his father. He had a scar on his back from an accident that happened when he was younger. The scar starts from to right shoulder blade and heads down and at an angle until it hits the spine at the lower back. His clothing is not that typical for a shinobi.
Ryo dresses rather casually. Ryo's stance makes him appear to be lay back and lazy , however this could not be further from the truth. For a shirt he wears just a regular long sleeve white and blue shirt. On top of that he wears a short blue leather vest, on the back of the vest as a picture of a waterfall. This being a tribute to his mother's origin. Over that he wears a sash which had his forehead protect connected on both ends. This sash also has a holster, for his sword, on his back. His choice of pants would be loose fitting jeans. However he has been known to wear the standard leather pants which are common for shinobi. With either he would have pouches tied to his legs, these pouches contain his kunai, shuriken, and other miscellaneous ninja gear. His footwear is similar to that of the popular sandals except for Ryo they are enclosed shoes. His attire might vary from day to day, for example there will be days where instead of his leather vest Ryo will wear a black trench coat. This coat has the Mist village symbol on the back with silver cloth. Usually he stick with anything blue since he feels it is his birth color.
Forehead Protector: He keeps his forehead protecter attached to the holester of his sword.
Personality: Ryo tends to have a laid back and accepting personality. Since at a young age his father distilled discipline in the way Ryo fights but outside the battlefield he is a kind soul. He believes that putting his village first is what every shinobi should do. He is also honorable, he won't fight someone who is unable to protect themselves. If he gains an upper hand in combat he will choose to capitalize on it. While fighting Ryo goes for the win not the kill unless there is no other option. What he defines as "no other options" can be broken down to three questions. One, will letting this person leave cause damage to The Hidden Mist in the long run. Two, will this person return to exact his revenge among Ryo or his family. Three, will this person sink to new lows to keep living. If the answer to any of these question is yes then Ryo would have to make the call. His father had always taught him that needless bloodshed was evil and one should only kill to protect. Being a sheltered child at a young age his opinions almost mirror that of his fathers. It wouldn't be until he reached into his early teens that he would talk philosophy with others in his village. Their experiences and values help shed light on Ryo's observation of what the world was like. But he would keep these three questions in the back of his mind should the need arise.
Other than those questions Ryo's father also had what he called house rules. These rules also help shape Ryo's mind and personality. 1. No honor no victory. This was a simple rule to understand. If one person to sink to graveling to get a victory then there is no victory. 2. Village, Family, Friends. Again another easy rule. His father had always told Ryo that if a choice had to be made or if his family was held hostage always put the village and its security first. A few lives was not worth the village. When it came to these sort of things his father was rather morbid. This was one of the few things that did not shape Ryo's personality. He was laid back and if a fight was to occur then he became focused. His laid back domineer would through enemies off. While he seemed like he was oblivious Ryo made a conscious effort to keep track of his surroundings. He enjoys being around water in general whether it is fishing or swimming, being born in the Mist village had certainly help in that regard. He dislikes people who can't back up what they say and prefers action to words. His ideal date would be a sparring match.

THE NINJA. Origin: The Water Country Affiliation:Hidden Mist Village Rank: Genin Specialities: Ninjutsu, Weaponry(Close, Long) Elemental Affinities: Suiton and Raiton Combat Style: Being a user of both water and lightning elemental chakra, as well as using sword and bow attacks, gives Ryo a wide variety of offensive maneuvers. He can close in and use his sword play along with Suiton and Raiton techniques to keep his opponent on his toes. This combined with the fact that Ryo can perform hand signs with one hand makes him dangerous in close quarter fighting. If the battle comes to a fight at a ranged distance Ryo has a few tricks up his sleeve. The first is using the water clone technique and leaving the water clone in plain so that his enemy would believe he made a mistake, doing this allows Ryo an opportunity to see where his opponent is. On top of the he know how to use a short bow. With this being said Ryo is at a clear disadvantage with being in medium range (5m to 10m). To close to use his bow and too far to use his sword. He would try to pull out or push to keep the fight in his favor. While using the sword Ryo favors horizontal slashes to vertical, the reason being that he feel he has more power in his backhand then raising the sword and bringing it down. Special Characteristics:

Name: One-Handed Seals Rank: C Type: Physical Prerequisites: - Training: A 600 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: This cannot be used as a way to perform two jutsu at the same time. Description: the ninja discovers a unique talent which allows them to mix chakra by performing seals with only one hand. With an ability such as this the ninja can fight while also performing jutsu, delivering surprise attacks to their enemies. Since those who can perform one-handed seals are naturally good at what their talents, they are even capable of performing hand seals behind themselves, leaving the enemy oblivious to the ninja's next attack.

Description: After many travels, the ninja has gained s scattering of allies that wish to ensure safety to the user through either kinship or a repaying favor. Having these types of connections in the villages means the user always has some sort of home and can easily take refuge.
THE BACKGROUND. History:

Early Life Ryo was born within the Hidden Mist Village. His father worked as a local police force while his mother stayed and home to raise Ryo. The name Ryo was given to the baby as it meant to survive and excel. Two traits his father prayed his boy would have. Since the day he could walk Ryo had discipline distilled into his mind. He was a sheltered kid and wasn't allowed to play outside until he was enrolled into the ninja academy. Being young Ryo was forbidden to use any of his weapons however they did not stop his natural curiosity. His mother was tending her garden at the time and his father was away doing his job. Ryo snuck into his parents and opened their closet door. He saw weapons of many different types, one caught his attention. It was a purple sword but it wasn't set up like the others. The other weapons had their handles and hilt facing upwards while the blades and blunted end faced towards the ground. With this sword however the blade was pointed up and the hilt was a few inched off of the ground. Ryo reached out to grabbed the hilt but as he did the sword fell. Ryo was about six years old at the time, the tip of the blade swung out and came down. Ryo saw it at the last second and tried but the blade came down across his back cutting him. His mother said it was first time she heard him cry, the whole incident caused a fight between his parents.
Academy. The following year he was enrolled into the Hidden Mist ninja Academy. It was here when he discovered his love of the art of being a shinobi, also known as jutsus. While learning the basics he decided to also train with a sword, much like his father. His father gave him a wooden practice and told when he was ready he would get a real one. Every day Ryo trained with his wooden weapon, most of the time he practiced against his father when there was free time. If he was alone he would practice by chopping his mother's flowers which had gotten him into trouble. The academy training went well as a whole. The last few weeks were almost constant tests. Ryo passed each test with little difficulty, since all he did was train. When the ceremony came he received his forehead protector and on it was the symbol of the Hidden Mist Village. This was the first time his father had mentioned how proud he was of Ryo.
Rough Waters When he first became a genin was when his real training began. His father had a sword made just for him. He trained with this blade, one obstacle that he kept crossing was when he used his sword performing jutsus became difficult. His father helped through this by helping him learn to perform seals with one hand. This had a huge impact on his fighting style allowing him to be more creative in his movements.

The Hidden mist technique had worked the way Ryo had intended. The field of battle was now covered in mist and once more his enemy appeared to be confused. Ryo followed the technique with a mist close which his opponent attacked. The position and stance of the mist clone made Ryo appear to have let his gaud down. Little by little he was learning who his attacker was. Someone that struggled against a low ranking ninjutsu, such as the Hidden Mist Technique, was most likely not from the village. As they battled Ryo didn't see any signs of another village or country upon this man. He was 20 meters away and had to chose a course of action soon. "On one hand I could use my arrows to take a few quick shots at him. But he might be able to locate me through my arrows power and direction. I could also try to get close enough to use my blade, but he might be able to hear me coming." His thoughts raced around his head until he saw movement. His opponent was starting to become inpatient and lashed out. Fire flew from his mouth like a jet stream. He arched the blast to hit anything close enough in front of him. Ryo could feel the pressure. "Well he knows fire ninjutsu, but that doesn't really give me any clues on where he is from, anyone can use a simple fire technique." He lowered down into the mist while this guy looked all around him. "I have to make a move." He slipped his hand into the pouch on his left leg pulling out a single kunai. With his bow laying on the ground he also pulled two arrows from his quiver. He took a deep breath. If this didn't work then he might be in trouble. Choosing to take action would reveal his location but it was a risk he had to take. Ryo waited until the man's figure came into view, he aimed the first arrow right for the gut. He pulled back the second arrow right after and shot and the same spot. Ryo dropped the bow and grabbed the kunai, halfway to his target he threw and the man's head. Following this he pulled his sword out of its holster and swung hard horizontally. Hopefully after this assault something would hit. He had to keep up the offensive now that he was within range. It was time to end this.

Name: Daibakuryuu no Jutsu - Great Exploding Current Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: In order to use this technique, the user must first be on top of water (lake, sea, etc). Then, after preforming the needed hand seals a vortex of water will form, sucking anything on the surface above it down to the depths below. This can possibly drown the opponent. Name: Suirou no Jutsu - Water Prison Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: Suirou no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to imprison an opponent. The ninja forms the necessary hand seals which causes the water to form around the target into a spherical prison which only allows for limited movement. The ninja must keep their body touching the water prison to maintain its existence. If the contact is broken, the water falls away and their target is released. When combined with a solid bunshin technique, the ninja can imprison their target but still allow for a clone to attack others nearby. Chakra Cost: 9 (2 per post)
Name: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu - Water Clone Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Suiton (Water) Description: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target, but none utilizing chakra. The range of the clone is limited however, it can travel no further than 10 meters from the original body. If the Mizu Bunshin is injured, the clone will revert back into its natural water state. Chakra Cost: 7

Name: Haran Banshou - Stormy Upheaval Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: This technique allows the user to summon a large volume of water; roughly the size of a waterfall, crushing it into the opponent. Name: Mizuame Nabara - Starch Syrup Capture Field Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m), Far (10+) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: Suiton • Mizuame Nabara is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After forming the needed handseals, the user will expel a sticky liquid from his/her gullet. This liquid can cover approximately 20 square meters. If the target runs on top of the liquid, their feet will become glued to its sticky surface. If the ninja focuses chakra to their feet before touching the surface, they can hover above and move over it without hindrance. This allows the user or a comrade to charge and attack without fear of becoming bogged down as well. Chakra Cost: 7

Name: Kangekiha - Inspiration Wave Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Raiton (Lightning) Description: The user will first create a protective wall of water (must be done with a water technique, it is not included with just this technique). They will then form the needed hand seal and emit a bolt of electricity into the water which will increase its defensive effectiveness and stun any targets who attempt to pass through. The electricity only affects the water for the post it is used, and the stunning effect only lasts as long as the user is making contact with the water. Chakra Cost: 6
Name: Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Raiton (Lightning) Description: This technique allows the user to create a wave of electricity from their hands. The user can vary its power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. Chakra Cost: 5

Name: Ninpou; Shimetta Pusshu - Moist Push Rank: D Type: Weaponry Element: Suiton Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Village: Kirigakure Description: This jutsu is developed and trained within Kirigakure as a village specific jutsu. This jutsu is very simple. Should the user be fighting in a foggy or moist environment, they will make a slash at their target and cause a small torrent of mist to be pushed towards the opponent, used as a distraction that hits the target just before the blade does. The mist does not damage, and this jutsu just quickly collects and pushes the mist towards the target, perhaps blocking their vision. This jutsu requires the chakra conductivity SC in order to use, or a chakra conductive weapon. Chakra Cost: 3
Name: Soto Nise - Fake Out Rank: D Type: Weaponry Range: Close (0-5M) Element: N/A Description: The user will draw their opponent's attention to their blade or blade-wielding handing, telegraphing an eminent attack with it. The user will begin to spin, as if building up momentum for the attack, before surging chakra through their feet to stick to the ground to arrest their momentum before swinging around to strike from the other direction. Alternatively, the user can simply release the original blade, letting it fly at the opponent, while quickly drawing forth another weapon and attacking with that. Chakra Cost: 3
Name: Dengen Shotto - Power Shot Rank: C Type: Weaponry Range: Long (10M+) Description: The user briefly overdraws their bow, giving the following arrow increased penetrating power and range, easily capable of crippling a target with proper aim. Because the technique requires the user pulling back further than they normally would, this can be straining to the muscles of their arm. As such, without the Endurance SCs, the average user cannot use this technique in rapid succession (ie, minimum of 1 post between uses). Chakra Cost: 6 CP
Name: Ninpou; Kiri Suramu - Mist Slam Rank: C Type: Weaponry Element: -- Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m~10m), Far (10m+) Village: Kirigakure Description: This jutsu is developed and trained within Kirigakure as a village specific jutsu. This jutsu requires no hand seals. After activation, the user will rush towards the target and make a giant swing with massive power in order to try and cleave them in half. This swing will be powerful enough to crush rock, depending on the size and momentum of the sword. Instead of using hand seals, the user will gather chakra within their arms before use. Chakra Cost: 6

Name: Kirigakure no Jutsu - Hidden Mist Technique Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0 - 5m), Med (5 - 10m) Element: - Village: Kirigakure Description: This jutsu is developed and trained within Kirigakure as a village specific jutsu. After forming the needed hand seal, the user will place their hand over their head and cause a large amount of mist to gather. This mist is extremely difficult to see through from someone not of Kirigakure, who are used to looking through heavy mists, and are more able to do combat while within said mist. The jutsu involves kneading chakra into the mist, allowing the user to create extremely thick or thin levels of mist. Those with doujutsu or chakra sensing techniques are also able to see through this thick mist but without any aid, then you'll be blind within the mist. A C-Rank Fuuton Jutsu can dispel the mists. Name: Ninpou; Kiri Bunshin - Mist Clone Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Element: Suiton Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m~10m), Far (10m+) Village: Kirigakure Description: This jutsu is developed and trained within Kirigakure as a village specific jutsu. A variant of the water clone jutsu, the user will complete the needed hand seals in order to create up to five mist clones. These clones are, although technically solid, unable to attack or defend, or use jutsu. Should the clone come into contact with someone's attack, or try and attack themselves, they will simply disrupt into mist and then gradually reform. Any weapon attacks thrown by the mist clones will, although appearing real, only disperse into mist upon contact with their target; posing no physical threat. However, because they constantly reform, they are near impossible to get rid of, and offer a constant confusion factor. Chakra Cost: 4 (1 per post)
Name: Ninpou; Hachi Shokushu - Four Tentacles Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Element: Suiton Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Village: Kirigakure Description: This jutsu is developed and trained within Kirigakure as a village specific jutsu. After performing the necessary hand signs the user will manipulate water from a nearby source, causing it to surround their bodies with water and create four tentacles that range up to 3 meters in length. These tentacles are used to defend against small projectiles. Anything bigger than a shuriken/senbon/kunai will go through the tentacles when coming into contact, though their speed will be highly reduced to the point of dropping out of the other end. Keep in mind the tentacles can be used defensively as well as offensively as they can be used in close combat situations to grab the opponent. Though their density will not be able to stop an incoming punch/kick or even a close range weapon, it can be used to greatly decrease the attack's momentum and speed. Each tentacle is about 30 centimeters thick, or about one foot. Chakra Cost: 7
Equipment

Name: Aoshimo Rank: C Type: Longsword Close Appearance:Aoshimo is almost one meter in length and made from a light weight material allowing Ryo to wield it with one hand such as a katana with the option of wielding it with two. The Hilt of the blade is roughly 10 inches, there is a blue gem attached to the pommel, this gem has the symbol of the hidden mist village carved into the gem. The handle was craft from iron and wrapped with leather. The guard was carved from a large rock. This makes the weight distribution different from any other standard sword. This rock was turned black dealing the heat treatment process. The fuller of the blade was made from iron and dyed blue upon request by Ryo. The blade portion is made from steel and sharpened on both sides. Quantity: 1 Storage: Holster on back Special Abilities: The rock guard makes the weight wierd to hold to any one that that hasn't trained with it.
Name: Short bow Rank: D Type: Long Range - Bow Quantity: 1 Description: A shortbow has a stave portion of about five feet in length and was the first of such launchers to be developed. Its lightweight frame relatively small size makes it a compact and agile weapon to use. It has the ability to fire approximately 120m with effective accuracy.
