Tea for Two Liars, Please?
Seika sat patiently across from her travel partner as her senses embraced everything the 'Amaikoi Chashitsu' had to offer. Sweet but bold scents fluttered about in the air like butterflies in a valley, filling her nostrils with their pleasant aroma and easing her tension as they had. It was difficult to feel stressed out in such a relaxing environment. If it weren't for Seika's natural tendency to be stubborn, she may give in completely the temptation of comfort and thus take a nap on the table. However, for the sake of keeping an eye on not only herself but Mokuzai and the surroundings, she remained awake and continued to keep herself busy by checking out the contents of the tea house.
The tea house possessed a rather rustic appearance with its deep and dark mahogany wood floors, which reminded her of her own furniture back home in Kirigakure, and various pillows and tatami mats scattered themselves around tables in a very neat and orderly manner. The pillow beneath Seika was truly a cloud in her mind. Her instincts persistently pushed her, once again, to give in to the fact she was tired by grabbing the pillow and resting her head upon it. She needed to speak up to Mokuzai or, at this rate, she may actually fall asleep.
"This place is really nice," she said quietly before turning her attention towards a well dressed and professionally clad waitress. Her hair was blonde and pulled back into a bun, her green eyes vibrant and likely capable of grasping the attention of nearly any male she desired, while her form itself consisted of curves and a thin frame. Seika peered up at the woman, a pang of jealousy arising from the woman's overall height, while giving her a welcoming smile. The blonde woman had already smiled at the two ninja with welcoming expressions on her way over to the table.
"Welcome to the Amaikoi Chashitsu, my name is Hana and I will be serving you both today," she began while handing the two their menus to glance over.
"Would you like to start off with anything to drink? We have a variety of fine teas from all of the lands. You can find our list in the interior of the menu, left side."
Seika opened up the menu and glanced over the list as briefly as she could. The woman continued to talk.
"If tea does not suite your fancy we can also accommodate you with water or even a limited selection of sake or wine."
Seika raised her eyebrows to the last bit. Never tasting the supposedly sweet contents of either alcoholic beverage made her as curious as young kitten. Despite the options, she decided against alcoholic and went along with tea instead. After all, Seika loved tea more than anything and would drink it daily if given the chance.
"I would like to try Wild Orange Blossom Herbal Tea," Seika spoke up first. The waitress nodded and smiled.
"Excellent choice, one of my personal favorites," she said while writing the order down. The green eyes then floated over towards Mokuzai while she retained her usual cheerful smile.
"And how about you sir?"
Seika flashed Mokuzai an awkward smile while the woman looked at him. She was praying to the heavens that he would restrain any sort of sassy or possibly rude comments from feeling pressured by everything. She knew he was uncomfortable in the village setting but she needed him to relax for both of their sake. Making a scene and causing attention would likely not end well.
Seika had some faith that he could ease his tension and yet part of her was screaming for her to get him out of the village as soon as possible. The two truly needed to learn more about one another before delving into the situations they were placing themselves in now. As of right now, she trusted him but not to the extent of being able to rely on him with full confidence. A position like this took time to earn and even most Kirigakure ninja had not obtained such high standards with her. Did this mean Mokuzai never had a chance? Only time would tell.
