The Jounin Proctor stands at the center between Kelyn and Sakota. The proctor waits for a few seconds once both combatants appear ready to start. He raises a white flag high into the air for a second to acknowledge the beginning of the match. After three seconds he brings the flag down in a blur and yells start. The Jounin moves out of the way instantly to watch the match.

Sakota stepped out into the arena wearing his Sugegasa tipped down, the shade cast by it covering his gentle face. His snow white hair was tied back in a loose ponytail that fell straight down from the back of his head. His white kimono top gleamed in the artificial light of the arena keeping his hands perfectly covered beneath the long sleeves as they twitched with a nervous energy. A Tournament eh, a wonderful place to put my skills to the test, and improve my abilities. Granted this is round one I should probably not show off everything I can do to begin with. Oh well I suppose that depends on what my opponent can do Sakota thought to himself as he looked across the arena at the dark skinned teen who was going to be his opponent.

The boy's black tank-top revealed the muscular tone of his arms revealing an apparent love for physical training. His blue pants were loose fitting, almost baggy not revealing much about the build of his legs, so Sakota couldn't tell if he preferred speed to strength like he himself does. Noticing the sword strapped across his back Sakota thought to himself I am not sure if I can fight against a swordsman without using my Kekkei Genkai, granted the last few times I have went against a swordsman I had left my kit at home so I haven't had a chance to go sword v kunai yet. Rolling his shoulders and rotating his neck he felt confident in his sizing up his opponent, granted he knew that until the fight began without any foreknowledge of his opponent that no amount of visual observation will do him any good, because he knows full well that looks are more often than not deceiving in this world. Sakota bowed to his opponent his emerald green eyes still mostly concealed by his hat didn't leave that of his opponents, even if the smile on his face was hidden in the shadow it could be heard in his voice when he spoke as the referee stepped back, "Lets dance"

This was it, game time. When he heard about this little tournament, the excitement within K was hard to contain. Ever since he had graduated from the academy, K has seen little to no action and though he would probably never admit it, it was eating him up inside. Despite the initial problems with his upbringing and the lazy facade he likes to put on constantly, the kid was literally born to fight, it was in his blood from the get-go, so this genin tournament was a great way for him to fill the thirst for fighting for the time being. K had to admit though, now that he was actually in the ring, he couldn’t help but feel those jitters while small doubts crept into his mind. He felt unprepared and rusty, like he should’ve trained more before this tournament. The last thing he wanted to do was get bodied in the first couple of seconds within the first round from a stupid mistake like he’s heard happens to a lot of people in these kinds of matches. Nevertheless, his match was coming up and he had to stay focused.

Before the battle had begun, K made sure to keep himself poised, left hand within inches of his ninja pouch while checking the other pouch strapped right above his right knee, making sure to keep his right hand close as well. It couldn’t be helped, between the beating of his heart and the deepness of his breathes, K wasn’t in his laid back mode anymore, it was all business from here. Refusing to take his full attention on anything that wasn’t his opponent, K took a quick note of who he was facing. He seemed like some regular ol’ teenage cat, but K was careful not to let anything slip from his sight because as a shinobi, taking people for granted just based on their looks is the most stupid thing you can possibly do.

It almost seemed like that white flag was a switch because as soon as it went down, the jitters were instantly gone and K was ready to go. Once his opponent was done with formalities, those jitters from early were quickly replaced with that fighter’s instinct as a smile popped on K’s face for a second as his left hand immediately popped open and dipped into the pouch on the left side of his thigh, pulling out 2 shuriken and tossing them towards his opponent. The way he had them thrown, the two shuriken would start close towards each other and separate ever so slowly as they got closer to their target, with one going towards his heart and the other going towards his right thigh. With the same motion he used to throw his shuriken, K quickly drew his sword while dashing towards his opponent as fast as he could, making sure to keep light on his feet.

Sakota watched as his opponent waited for Sakota to finish his bow before reaching for any weapons, while slightly perturbed that the gesture wasn't returned but respected Kelyn for at least waiting for him to finish his bow before attacking, knowing most opponents would have seen that as an opening to exploit. As the shuriken left Kelyn's hands Sakota perceived the slightly different angles as they separated, and while he didn't quite predict where they would strike he was able to determine enough that by spinning on his left heel both would miss his mark, it would also put his right leg out of sight long enough to draw a kunai to keep hidden under his sleeve. Following through on his thought he pivoted on his left heel turning a full 180 degrees before the shuriken passed him by, with one quick movement he pulled a kunai from his leg holster while it was blocked from his opponents view.

Without even turning to see where Kelyn was Sakota leaped off to to both his and Kelyn's right coming to a stop and pivoting to face his opponent. He took up his normal fighting stance with body slightly hunched, his arms hanging limply at his sides, swinging back and forth like they were both broken at the shoulders. His emerald green eyes locked on his opponent watching, waiting to see what kind of move was going to come next, all the while thinking to himself, Granted this defensive and evasive style isn't my norm but, between not knowing what he can do, and not wanting to show off all of my tricks yet I don't want to risk committing to an assault quite yet, lets see if I can just frustrate him by evading everything he throws my way.

His opponent’s movements were strange, that’s for sure. K had initially thrown those shuriken just in an attempt to poke his opponent a bit. Mainly as a way for K to gauge the way he moves, cause a slight distraction or even put his opponent in a bad spot to avoid his next attack. Either way, he wanted to manipulate this guy at least a tad bit early on. From the way that he was moving, it proved highly unlikely that at least one of the shuriken would hit him. If so, his opponent’s right thigh would be at least grazed by said shuriken. Though that shouldn't prove to be much of an issue early on, it just may become an advantage for K if the fight drags on for too long.

As his opponent turned around, taking his eyes off the prize, K saw his chance to strike. First, at the very moment before the opposition’s feet left the ground, K took the kunai from the pouch strapped to his right leg and quickly flicked it in the direction that Sakota’s center of mass, aka his stomach, would be as he landed. Considering that Sakota wasn’t even looking towards K and the fact that K had his hand close to the pouch that held the kunai this entire time, Sakota shouldn’t be able to react in time to completely evade it completely unscathed. Regardless, K had something in mind just in case something like that were to happen. In this particular instance, K continued his charge. The move that K’s opponent didn’t really give him too much space away from K so all the swordsman really had to do was make a slight pivot to the right as he dashed for a diagonal slash towards the same direction he pivoted, increasing the speed of the strike ever so slightly to give his opponent even less time to evade. If connected with no interruptions in the strike or movement from Sakota was made, K’s blade would first make its contact with the edge of his opponent’s right shoulder, going straight through until it passed right under the left side of his ribcage.

As Sakota turned he caught the glint of the kunai flying towards him he kicked back using his enhanced speed to gain him an extra fraction of a second while he swung up with his right arm, deflecting it with the kunai hidden in his long sleeve. His feet touched the ground as Kelyn's sword swing started. At Sakota's current distance the attack would leave a nice cut along his front but wouldn't be the full cleaving blow that Kelyn was aiming for but the damage would be moderate, not wanting to take any more damage than the minor cut on his leg from the Shuriken at least not this early. Sakota knew that he didn't have the time to dodge out of the way but just a step closer would put him in a position to block the attack and inflict some damage on his opponent as well.

In preperation for the stunt that he was about to perform Sakota started to focus his chakra to his bone structure triggering his kekkei genkai to increase the density of his bones. Focusing the majority of his efforts to the right half of his collar bone and his right forearm so that those two areas would be prepped for using Karamatsu no Mai before the rest of his skeleton. because he was going to need them for what he was going to do, he stepped forward ducking slightly, and raising his arms up to block Kelyn's double hand slash by stopping it at his body rather than the blade, if successful both of Kelyn's forearms would impact with Sakota's right forearm and a spike will grow out of Sakota's right ulna starting towards his elbow, and heading towards his fingertips, in an effort to pierce both of Kelyn's forearms in the space between Kelyn's Radius and ulna, practically rendering the young swordsmans hands useless until he seeks medical attention, and the damage done to the veins and arteries in both arms would quite possibly cause the young genin to bleed out in under 10 minutes.

While Sakota's plan was not relying solely on him successfully managing to catch his opponents forearms with his tactic he made sure to have a backup plan of another pair of bone spikes growing out of his collar bone. The first ran parallel to the collarbone rising out high enough to prevent Kelyn's blade from hitting flesh. The second went at a 45 ° angle from the first preventing Kelyn from just riding down the first bone to a decapitating strike.

Something was not right. The way this guy was moving was just a little two sketchy for K’s tastes. Though K was half expecting some kind of heroic Ninjutsu and/or some kind of attempt to gain some distance from the sword wielding genin, but instead, he was moving just a bit too close for comfort. The way his opponent was attempting to duck under and possibly catch K in some sort of elbow attack was a bit unexpected, but didn’t really catch K too much off guard, as there was the off chance that, despite his opponent’s . Though most people would move farther away from a sword fighter in action, most martial artists tend to find some way to actually close the distance some so that the long distance sword of their opponent wouldn’t dictate the tempo of their close ranged fight. In this case, most fighters would either aim to stop the blade with their hands or, if they were a bit more aggressive, go for the sword wielder’s arms themselves in an attempt to disarm the blade from them. A tactic K was all too familiar with.

Keeping this in mind, the very second K noticed the shift in his opponent’s movement, his right leg instantly moved forward, quickly kicking off of his opponent’s left shoulder in order to propel himself backwards and keep his opponents away from him and his sword. What he wasn’t expecting though was for some random stuff to be popping out of this kid’s body. ‘What the… fuck…?’ Was a thought that creped inside of K’s mind for a split second, but he didn’t really have too much time to think about how freakishly weird that was. Releasing his right hand’s grip on the blade’s handle, K quickly went back in his ninja pouch while focusing a bit of chakra into said hand as he pulled out three shuriken plus an added surprise with them, one between his index and middle finger, a glint showing underneath two opposite sides of the edges if you look hard enough, the other between his middle and ring finger, and the last shuriken between his ring finger and pinky.

K then threw the weapons in his right hand directly towards his opponent with sparks flying. The top shuriken that was aimed to go directly between the lips of Sakota's mouth was shrouded with lightning chakra. The other two had somewhat of a similar pattern in their path as the first shuriken he threw in the opening round, designed to limit his opponent’s movement. They were aimed to break off at a distance towards either of his opponent’s side in a fashion that if he tried to dash sideways, the shuriken would hit him towards his upper body, numbing that area and causing minor burns in that area, not to mention any cuts resulting from the blades of the shuriken.

Right after throwing his weapons, K would then pierced the ground he was lightly hovering over in order to stop himself from going back any further than 5 meters. Taking a quick second for a breather and focus his chakra, K released the sword that was pierced in the ground and letting it drop to his side as his left knee knelled to the ground, not taking his eyes off of his opponent for a second nor allowing his guard to drop as he continued to wonder just what the hell was that earlier; was that actually his bones sticking out of his body? K flexed for a second, making sure his forearm was still okay after that. ‘That was a pretty close call for sure though, I might have to end this quick before any more unwelcome surprises happen.’

Sakota watched as his opponent kicked off of him in an attempt to get some distance, he had apparently read atleast part of what Sakota had planned, Sakota also noticed his hand reaching back behind him, like he has on multiple occasions throughout this fight already. Okay he is probably going to throw more things at me, I think my finger bullets should be enough to stop him he thought as he focused his chakra to his left hand and could feel the phalanges of each finger in his left hand start to dislodge as a new one grew into the place of the old, much like a persons final set of teeth do for their baby teeth. Sure enough Kelyn launched the shuriken at him, this time there was a sparking not so surprise involved in them, a technique that Sakota himself was familiar with and really didn't want to be on the receiving end of, so he let his fingertips fly with a well placed throw. The bullet from his pinky, middle, and thumb collided with the three shuriken knocking them out of the air, leaving the other two on a deadly spiraling path of death towards Kelyn.

The throw left Sakota's left hand raised over his right shoulder for a moment so Sakota used that time to draw his trusty bone sword from his right arm through the use of Tsubaki no mai. Sakota then rushed his opponent the Kunai, still hidden in his right sleeve and only the tip of his bone sword was visible on his left. Using his enhanced speed, Sakota was able to arrive at Kelyn just after his finger bullets were his left arm thrusting out with a fencer's lunge, aiming for where his stomach would be if Kelyn was standing, ready to manipulate his skeleton to block an incoming counter if the need should arise.

Okay, if this guy wasn’t freaking out K before, he certainly was going to within the next few seconds. Not only were bones just sticking out of his forearms like he just broke them out with his mind, but now this Sakota guy was pushing bones out of his fingertips too in order to block out K’s lightning shuriken. It certainly was the oddest thing he had seen, but K had literally no time to continue getting freaked out over this because that could mean the end of his life right there. Right when some of his finger bullets or whatever had collided with K’s shuriken, there were a couple of them going straight for the boy himself. Acting on instinct, K quickly pulled his sword from the ground with his right hand, deflecting the two bullets shot at him.
Right after K, picked up his sword however, his opponent continued to up his level of freakiness as he seemingly just pulled his spine right out of his body, drawing it in the form of a blade of his own. Normally, this would have been one of the last straws before K would start blurting out questioning remarks, but he knew he had to keep his focus if he wanted to stay in this fight. Right after K had blocked the bullets, his opponent began his own attack, aiming that bone sword thing straight for K’s chest, as he was halfway kneeling on the ground; now was his time to strike.

Using the sword already in his hand, K raised the blade straight downward ahead of the left side of his upper body as he pushed his legs in a way that would cause K to propel himself forward while fully extending his legs. As he was going towards his opponent, K parried the offensive blade away towards the right side of his (Kelyn’s) own body. With his legs already positioned to propel him forward at maximum speed, his chakra already focused within his body, his arm flexed and extended from parrying his opponent’s attack, there was only move that would seem appropriate at this time. That’s right, as K continued to propel forward with his straightened arm, his opponent might find it a quite hard to even move at this time, much less utilize his chakra in a way to properly defend himself or counter attack.

The reasoning behind this was that very same glint that was underneath one of the shuriken from earlier, the one within his index and middle finger to be specific; the very same shuriken that was aimed directly at Sakota’s mouth. That reflection of light wouldn’t have come from the shuriken itself as it was coming from underneath it, which obviously wouldn’t have allowed a reflection of light to come from it. It couldn’t have come from the shuriken within K’s middle and ring finger because the glint was coming from both sides underneath the shuriken, which could only mean that something slightly longer than the shuriken itself was underneath it that could reflect the light from the stage ceiling. As Sakota blocked the shuriken with his finger bullets, it appears that the senbon that he had hidden underneath the shuriken would've went through, piercing his throat. Though it shouldn’t do too much damage on its own, not only will it cause a noticeable stinging pain if Sakota wasn’t resistant to that kind of stuff, the lightning manifestation within the senbon should cause at least enough degree of paralysis that shouldn’t allow him to be able to focus his chakra fast enough to react.

Using this to his advantage, K used all of the strength in his right arm, using his left arm to negate anything that may come by his left side, to smash his arm against the throat of his opponent, causing considerable damage to his larynx, possibly even fatal, if landed correctly.

Sakota felt the sting of the hidden needle as it pierced his neck slipping between his trachea and the carotid artery on the right side of his neck, the electrical charge that it was carrying conducted its way through his nerves right to his brain because of the close proximity of it causing a numbing sensation to spread through out the majority of his body. Sakota had ignored it to go onto the offensive, but now was regretting it, as Kelyn's sword collided with Sakota's the numbness of his hands combined with the shock of both blades colliding forced Kelyn's deflection to be a bit more effective than he had in mind, sending the blade flying from Sakota's hand. Not even sparing a glance to where his sword fell he got ready to capitalize on the opening that Kelyn made in his defense with the wide parrying swing, by flipping the kunai so that its point is on the same side of his hand as his thumb he started to make adjustments to stab Kelyn with his hidden weapon, but he then noticed how Kelyn was still advancing on him with his arm outstretched as if ready to clothesline Sakota.

While not one-hundred percent sure that Kelyn was planning to use Rariatto, one of Kumogakure's signature taijutsu techniques, he knew that if his opponent was planning that, then it would be potentially lethal if he allowed it to land across his throat, though he also knew he had just enough time for minor adjustments so he stood up slightly straighter so that the attack would land across his collar bone, which while he isn't quite able to focus his chakra well enough to grow a spike out of it, his Karamatsu no Mai and his families kekkei genkai it shouldn't break even under the potential force of the strike. However Kelyn's incoming attack left a wonderful opportunity to use the young genin's force against him adjusting his arm so that his hidden Kunai would pierce Kelyn's mid section as his Rariatto connected with Sakota's collar bone, and the force of Kelyn's blow would in turn send Sakota flying back a few feet boosted by him kicking off the ground with the impact, ripping the kunai out of Kelyn's gut leaving a potentially fatal wound in the young swordsman's stomach.

Before he connected with his patented Lariat move, K was already prepared for any kind of counter play coming from his opponent. Well, maybe not any kind out of counter play, but he at least had half of his bases covered; fortunately for him, his opponent seemed to be going for one of those covered bases. With K’s left arm already poised and prepared for anything finish coming from that side. As he went it, K easily spotted his opponent’s right arm going for what seemed like a punch or something going for K’s midsection. With K’s left arm already poised and ready to defend anything coming from that side, it was fairly easy to simply push his opponent’s hand right back against his own midsection. Though this was unknown to K at the time, this would cause the kunai hidden under his opponent’s sleeve to pierce his own midsection as a result.

With nothing else of significance to stop the young genin from smashing his opponent with the Lariat. With this move connecting, K’s opponent would be sent flying a few meters. At this point K thought about continuing his attack to make sure that he could end this fight without second guessing anything. But in all honesty, if everything that’s been done so far, this fight should be over already.

As Kelyn's hand grabbed Sakota's arm and started to force it back into his own body, Sakota dropped his kunai, the weapon caught in his sleeve slipping its way down to the bend of his elbow. As the clothesline connected with Sakota's collarbone he kicked off of the ground lessening the damage slightly by going with the flow, either way he was grateful for his Kekkei Genkai, because without it his collar bone definitely would have broken, and quite possibly ruptured his esophagus, or some major blood vessels. As Sakota's light-weight body flew threw the air, the young genin flipped his legs up causing his whole body to flip through the air as he landed feet down in a crouching position, the soles of his shoes sliding across the stone floor as his body slid to a halt. Standing upright Sakota straightened out his right arm to his side, causing his Kunai to slide back down his sleeve and right back into his hand, as if it was on some kind of hidden contraption.

"You are much better than I was giving you credit for. I guess it is time for me to take this seriously" Sakota said as he shrugged the kimono off of his shoulders leaving it still tied into his body with the belt around his waist revealing the entirety of his frail looking frame. The Kunai that he had been holding the majority of this match was now completely visible to the entire world and everyone watching. Sakota flicked his eyes to where his bone sword lay on the ground, deciding whether or not it would be worth it to try and collect it, or if he should just make another to use for the time being. Deciding that neither would be worth his time for now Sakota just cracked his neck a slight stinging sensation brought his mind back to the senbon still sticking out of his neck. The electricity that it had pumped into his body had already dissipated through out the rest of his nervous system and its effects were gone, meaning that his full body, and chakra control were back, he pulled the needle from his neck throwing it off to one side then rushed his opponent.

Knowing full well that he once he was in range he would be able to use his bones to stave off any taijutsu and even the genin's sword. Assuming that Sakota's charge went unmolested he would lead in with a low elbow-strike to Kelyn's mid-section a spike sprouting from his elbow just as it connects, that Sakota will break off in his opponents abdomen, if for nothing else than to staunch the bleeding slightly to prolong the other genin's life.

Truth be told, even though K was been initially kind of nervous about this whole ordeal, this was getting boring. It was actually to the point where it would be logical to say that he was actually getting irritated at this point. After setting up through what he believed to be a neat little trick, K really thought his lariat would do him out, but it figures that he still needs some training to do. At this rate though, he was no longer too worried about this match. Through that whole ordeal during his attack, K had gotten a feel for what his opponent can do. Though seemingly impressive, yet still creepy to the naked eye, this guy had glaring weaknesses and K was planning on taking advantage of every single one of them.

K let out a deep breath, pulling out a kunai coming from his pouch with his free hand and utilized the looped hole at the end twirling it around his index finger for a second before stopping it and grabbing a hold of the handle, holding his index and middle finger up as he hold it close to him for a quick second. ‘Blessed, watch over me.’ With that in mind, K placed his left hand in his pocket. He was focused now, can’t play no games with these ninjas after all. With his grasp tightening over the sword he held. His eyes narrowed down to his opponent with focus and irritation laid out over his iris. “Save the small talk, dude. Let’s just get this over with already, you’re taking too long.” As said before, K was starting to get bored from all this ballerina shit and he wasn’t having any more of this.

As this kid was taking his sweet old pimp time getting ready, K was watching him like a hawk, that killer instinct that’s been living inside him for the past year now, getting stronger and stronger by the minute. It wouldn’t take long for his wild side to take over, but he had to control himself. He needed to focus on the match with a calm level head because if he didn’t, he might be the one taken advantage of. All he had to do was keep himself physically poised and mentally focused… focus on every movement happening not only externally but what was going on internally… what was going to be the next action in this match…

That was when the bout finally continued and it was time to rumble. Right when K was growing increasingly impatient, his opponent came rushing at him, full speed again. Keeping his focus intact, K’s opponent was allowed to cover some distance, but K pseudo side hopped with his left foot, keeping his right one cocked and ready, less than a meter to the right before his opponent went for a low left elbow. At the start of his hop however, K quickly attempted to take advantage of his opponent’s poorly executed rushing strike, leaving himself fairly open in the process, by going for a horizontal slash towards the left side of the opponent’s jaw. By not keeping himself light on his toes from the beginning or at the very least choosing to prepare himself for a counter attack by slowing down his momentum before reaching, the light haired shinobi committed way too much for just a simple elbow.

Sakota watched as Kelyn took a deep breath pull the kunai, and hold it out in front of him, as if he was focusing his chakra, or saying a prayer to the ninja gods. Though what Sakota found really weird was his putting his hand, Kunai and all into his pocket I hope for his sakes that he has edge resistant pockets or something Sakota thought as he started his rush in, because though his opponents actions were curious it wasn't anything that changed his plan's to rush in with a stabbing elbow to Kelyn's mid section, so he continued on as he had planned.

As Sakota leaned his body in for his elbow strike he noticed his opponent leaped off to what would be his left, positioning himself on the side of Sakota's back. The side of his opponent that held the sword entered a blind spot. Not wanting to leave his opponent an opening Sakota used the momentum of his strike, and his bent legs propel himself forward putting on a slight extra burst of speed. Kelyn's sword missed, though it passed close enough to give Sakota's long white hair a slight thinning, cutting more than a dozen strands short. After about two meters Sakota focused his chakra to his feet to boost his traction allowing him to stop and spin counter-clockwise towards his opponent and rush in again. This time though rather than a low spiky strike, Sakota broadcasted a stab with his kunai aimed towards Kelyn's left arm. Sakota's left arm was in a low guard position leaving his face open on his left. The attack, and especially the opening itself was a feint in hopes that his opponent would take it, and deal a lethal blow to his opponent, of which Sakota would decide on his opponents reaction, to both his attack and his opening.

Bingo. Though K was half expecting some fancy stuff with his bones from his opponent, the blade of his sword caught its mark. If anyone were to ask K about this later on, he would’ve had to guess, the dude he was facing probably just didn’t have the time to gather up the chakra to actually do it or maybe it really didn’t process in time for Sakota’s brain to register the oncoming attack. But to try and utilize the momentum that was already being used against him to muster up even more speed? It didn’t even matter at this point in the fight anyways, there didn’t need to be a reason for it because this fight should be over soon. Now that K had found the opening that he needed, there was no stopping that inner killer instinct from here on out.

Once K’s blade had made contact with his opponent’s mandible, K was able to connect the hit. Because of his opponent’s high level of momentum being used against him, there was a stagger that signaled the end of the fight. This meant that the moment after the hit struck, K would have enough time to end this bout swiftly and efficiently. The very second that K’s blade had struck the mandible, he went for his next attack. Since the blade came horizontally, K pulled the tip of the sword back, away from the mandible, to charge up his next attack. Once the tip was a few inches away from his face, K would plunge the blade forward with all his strength, stabbing the injured spot on his neck.
