Kuro, Kelyn Vs. Kyokkou, Akiko

The Jounin Proctor stands at the center between Keyln and Akiko. The proctor waits for a few seconds once both combatants appear ready to start. He raises a white flag high into the air for a second to acknowledge the beginning of the match. After three seconds he brings the flag down in a blur and yells start. The Jounin moves out of the way instantly to watch the match.

So after all that had happened in K’s last fight, he was now in the second round. Despite some of the difficulties that went on during the match, K had to admit, he had a lot of fun there. It’s been quite a bit of time since he has had that kind of adrenaline rush, everything from simply drawing his sword to his life being very much endangered triggered something in K that has been lying dormant since recently and K was actually feeling it this time around. Regardless though, the young genin was getting a bit tired of this whole fighting ordeal. Truth be told, even though he had enjoyed himself for the most part, that adrenaline junkie side of himself was always accompanied by that side which convinced him that being a shinobi wasn’t exactly his thing, but K chose not to think about it too much.

For now, there was another match to be had and K had to be ready for the challenge, well sort of. Before this match had begun, well actually before this very moment, K had absolutely no idea who his opponent was going to be. In a way, he was fairly curious about what he would be up against in the case of ‘Would this guy be a Ninjutsu or Genjutsu type of cat, mid-range, long ranged, or all up in your grill kind of dude.’ In all his previous thoughts however, the very thought that his next opponent could be female never even crossed his mind so he was more or less, completely unsure how to approach this one.

Seriously though, he really had no idea how to approach this one. Needless to say, K was pretty sure that, other than his older sister who he in no way considers a girl, K has never really fought a girl. It wasn’t even that he was flustered or anything similar to the whole “I will never hit a girl” philosophy, he just… didn’t know to approach this one; it’s almost as if he was so used to trying to hit on girls in his past time that he didn’t exactly know how to approach literally hitting on a girl. Should he keep her at bay with his sword, should he try to grab her and take her down, or should he just try to get her number? Maybe he shouldn’t even think of her as a girl, taking her and this match as seriously as it would be with any male opponent. Just think of her as some guy with… feminine features… just any other guy… nah, screw that.

Forgetting literally every logical thought or strategy he was thinking about just a few seconds ago, K was once again going to let his arrogance get the better of him. Before the match was set to begin, K brushed himself off as he loosened his muscles a bit in preparation, letting out one of his shiny white smiles. “Yo baby, what’s say instead of taking you out this tournament, I take you out to dinner, huh?” Though as foolish and lackadaisical as he may seem to some at the moment, K still very well had his guard up, keeping his ninja pouch within close proximity to his left hand while his right one tense up a bit in preparation for drawing his sword if necessary. As pretty as this girl was, K had no idea what she was capable of and even K himself, as charming as he was, knew this Akiko girl probably wasn’t going to just drop this match for a date immediately. Now after the match, this might be a whole different story, but for now, K definitely had to keep his guard up.

Round 2 was finally upon her. Akiko had won her first round but was surprised to find this out. The last thing she remembered from her last fight is her last ditch effort to hurt Yuuzuki and ended up using nearly all of her chakra. The girl had hoped that this round would be different. The arena was more appealing the genin girl. Trees and dirt were there instead of concrete and statues. More appealing was the fact there was an audience to see this. The blonde walked towards her starting place, as she waived at the crowd. They all seemed excited as her. What the blonde was most excited about was to meet another ninja. Sadly, he was from the same village as her but she did not know him. Her opponent was a dark skinned boy who was easily younger than her. His dreads reminded her of her fathers even though they were differently colored. More noticeably was how obviously muscular the boy was. He might be a taijutsu user, if not then he could be strong physically.

He spoke to Akiko in a flirtatious manner. The kunoichi didn't know if it was a taunt or if he was seriously asking but either way she did not like it. Akiko just smiled and let her head hang to the side lazily, her face and eyes matching, "No way! Crunchy is here to end your tournament career!"

As she finished her sentence, Akiko activated her puraton making her irises shrink and turn yellow. Akiko did not have a plan but she had a set of actions she did want to do. As soon as the went down, Akiko performed four hand signs and held them out towards K. As she did the hand signs, Akiko put some distance between her and her foe by moving about 5 meters back as the plasma energy quickly pooled in her palms. The ball of energy flew at K's head and threatened to give him a concussion. Though she feigned like it was an attack made directly at K, she really aimed behind him assuming he would move. The ball, if dodged, would fly until it hit a tree and shattered it into moderate sized chunks.

Not wanting to waste a moment more, Akiko performed some more hand seals and used her Hidden Cloud Technique to obscure the area around her effectively keeping her hidden. She kept her eye on K's toned brown body so she could anticipate his moves and evade or counter if necessary.

It always had to be the feisty ones that had to make the rejection with a flair. No matter, K was still going to have a little fun I this match before it had to end. It was a shame though, he would rather not have to do this, but it is what it is in the realm of the shinobi world. After words were exchanged, K’s face changed from an attempt at being charming to a bit more lightheartedly serious. Though his intuition told K that he was getting just a little bit bored of this whole tourney thing, despite the rush he felt in the first round, he still wanted to see what this chick could do for curiosity’s sake. Of course that curiosity could be his own downfall in ways that was more than just losing this match, but K wasn’t going to let that logic faint said curiosity; something about this girl just seemed… unnatural.

As if answering K’s thoughts, the appearance of Akiko’s eyes changed ever so slightly, giving K some kind of hint that he should probably prepare for something possibly unique. As soon as he noticed this, the dark skinned shinobi placed both his hands in his pockets. His opponent then went on to form a few handsigns, most likely in an attempt to perform some kind of Ninjutsu. K was ready for whatever she would try to pull, waiting as she started to focus on gathering what looked like some energy ball that looked pretty dangerous if hit towards a human body directly.

When the ball of energy pulsated with color, K’s eyes opened up a bit more right before his left leg pulled back to the point where it was behind his right foot as he quickly pivoted towards his left while keeping his face towards his opponent, tilting his head further away from the ball as it flew past K by about a dozen or centimeters, blowing the male shinobi’s deadlocks back before hitting the trees behind him. Though it did showcase to K just how far this technique can go, it didn’t seem all that threatening at the moment considering how far the trees were from K’s body.

With his hands still in his pockets, K watched as Akiko started going for another technique; this one being a bit more familiar to the dark skinned kid. Sure enough, as she was finished with her seals, seemingly random clouds started to form around her, obscuring her body from K’s view. From what she was doing and the way she performed it, K could probably take a guess at what her next move was going to be. The boy simply returned to his former position and continued to observe for the next sequence of action.

Akiko used her obscured view to her advantage. In what seemed to be out of thin air, Akiko summoned 25 clones. It was a lot of clones but it should suffice for what her plan was. As soon as they came into existence, 5 of the clones rushed out of the smoke towards K in a wedge formation, 6m apart, readying themselves to evade. As they neared striking range, they would not attack instead just evade serving as agro tanks for Akiko. Instead of actually attacking, the clones would try to surround the dreaded shinobi distancing themselves about 3m from K. They would smile and stick their tongues at K, taunting him to attack them. Akiko knew that K would probably guess the technique used to create the clones but she needed to see what the genin would do in such situations.

"Are you boring?"

"You seem boring."

"I say that he is going to stand here the whole match. Do nothing!"

"Pfft, Easier for us to win, I guess." The clones all spoke to each other in turn, being the usual eccentric Akiko.

"Bananas!" Yelled the last one not knowing what to say, before she giggled.

The other 20 plus the real kunoichi would run away from K, separating them by the cloud that she summoned earlier, effectively covering her. They would fan out and scatter towards the edges of the field, the closest distance between any of them being about 5m. As they hit the tree line, they would fan out along the edges and stare at their opponent with smiles. The real Akiko would make her way along the side (from K's P.O.V. it would be the left side) of the field towards the tree she destroyed earlier where she would hide behind a tree mixed in with 3 of her clones. All of the Akiko's kept their eyes on K, whistling and taunting him as they walked casually to their locations, the real one making sure she didn't kick up dirt or interacted with the environment.

Taking his left hand out of his pocket, K lightly ruffled his own dreads and whipped his face before putting it back to wear it’s been for the past few seconds. The dark skinned boy was seemingly unfazed by the random clones that rushed out of the hidden clouds that were produced earlier. He expected as much, despite K’s relative experience in the shinobi world, even he had learned about this tactic when it came to clones at a young age. The only thing that he was wondering about was the kind of clones he would be dealing with; though the shadow clone was probably out of most genins’ reach, this girl was from Kumo so the lightning clone was what K was suspecting would be more likely for her use until he realized. If that was the case, K was going to have to be careful if Akiko’s clones suddenly engaged on him.

It didn’t take K long to figure out what technique was really being used though. As the clones began closing in on him, K’s brain took that second to process what was really going on. Now K was by no means a physics expert, but when those clones came out of that smoke, it was really just weird how the hidden clouds didn’t move at all in correspondence with their movement. I mean, they came out with quite a pep in their step, but the clouds they came out of were completely tranquil that whole time, leading K not only to realize that none of these girls approaching him at the moment was the real one. But what did this Akiko girl hope to accomplish by having a bunch of E level clones approach him? Was she hoping for some kind of feint attack to lure him in for a surprise?

Once the clones hit the marker of how far they wanted to go, their response… kind of answered the questions K had lingering in his head? Well, they more or less just mocked the male genin, sticking their tongue out and calling him boring or something or other. K’s raised his right eyebrow in confusion as he took a quick look at each of these clones one by one. “Uh, Ooookay…?” It wasn’t too hard to guess where the real one was once K took another look at the position Akiko had originally set the technique up in as about a couple dozen, give or take, other clones came out of the clouds. Each of them got a quick once over as they ran out until one of those girls got a little longer look of suspicion from the dark skinned shinobi. As the girl passed through the clouds, it was pretty obvious the see the clouds around her shifted and turning around her to match the flow of her momentum; this was the real Akiko.

As she and the rest of them fanned out towards their hiding spots, K took his hands out of his pockets. He then slowly cracked his neck before proceeding to crack his knuckles, getting ready to perform his next move. This time, it was K’s turn and his female opponent, Akiko, would probably not see this coming nor was there any way she was going to be able to counter this move, K was definitely going to end his match right here and right now since he knew exactly what he needed to do in this situation. Raising his right hand in the air, K couldn’t help but chuckle as he performed his action. “Yeah, I'm giving up.”
