The Jounin Proctor stands at the center between Hiryuu and Norio. The proctor waits for a few seconds once both combatants appear ready to start. He raises a white flag high into the air for a second to acknowledge the beginning of the match. After three seconds he brings the flag down in a blur and yells start. The Jounin moves out of the way instantly to watch the match.

Hiryuu's thoughts pestered him, wondering where his friend was in the matches. Did he lose? To who? If he won, who did he win to? How did he win? Did he suffer any injuries that set him back? Yusuke was too loud-mouthed to loose and at the end of the day he had Sharingan to help him funnel his weaknesses into something mangeable. As much as Yuisuke probably hated relying on his blood, he was bound to make proper use of it. Ishii was watching their progress, Yusuke knew as well as Hiryuu. Hiryuu had the Hyuuga on the line... And his opponent just made more unnecessary pressure.

No room for failure.

Hiryuu eyed the frail body of a Cloud ninja five meters away from him. Hiryuu wasn't too big himself, but this kinsmen had what looked to be an unhealthy weight about him. Kumogakure had Hyuuga as well, Hiryuu expected greatness from a village full of physical combatants. Hiryuu tooks note of his opponent's loose fitting clothing, missing his old blue kimono. Today, he decided to wear his secondary uniform. The brim of the cap hid his eyes under its shade, but through the bend he could see his opponent clearly. His opponent might see the structure of something long and narrow hidden under his arm guards but that was about it. Hiryuu was Hyuuga through and through.

There was nothing that seemed to stand out about him, but he was a ninja that had advanced to this round. That alone meant something. Both main family members – Both talented. Hiryuu had a single train of thought. He'd fought the Gentle Fist against masters, against clansmen and tutors and all of them hailed him as great. Could this distant cousin say the same about himself?

Let The Match Begin

The instant the match started Hiryuu reached for his kit grabbing three shuriken with great speed. He tosses the shuriken one after the other with one hand, while beginning to run after the first throw. The shuriken are all aimed at different body parts. One at the abdomen right above his navel, the other is aimed at his head and the last of them is surprisingly aimed towards his right knee. While Hiryuu begins to run he reaches behind his back for something that is hidden under the back of his clothing, ready to use it in a heartbeat. His free hand is close to weapons in case he needs it, in a low position where it can do many things.

By using his great speed1 to drop the distance between them, Hiryuu wanted to read his opponent's movements. Hiryuu's eyes were good at discernment – they sought the truth. But Hiryuu is looking for the truth in himself.

Am I strong?

Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Vide
PostSubject: Re: Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio EmptyFri 02 Jan 2015, 10:53 pm

OOC Note:

Norio had the appearance of someone quite unimpressive. Granted, his age was a major factor; given a few years, the boy would likely overcome his physical shortcomings. But until then, most opponents saw a meek, young form. They made many assumptions and judgments, and the boy didn't really steer them either way. The general consensus was that he was weak, small, inexperienced and naive - probably a genin fresh out of the academy-oven. The boy liked this imagining of him just fine; it helped his purposes.

Norio was quite used to facing older opponents. While his age wasn't exactly prodigal, most Genin only really hit their stride at about fifteen or sixteen, whereas the youth was already considered to be far above his average peer. Case and point - his previous opponent had been older - but this one did not seem to be so. In fact, though Norio had quite childish looks and his short height generally fooled people into believing him to be even as young as ten, the boy before him had a similarly deceptive face and didn't seem like a giant either. Depending on facial expression, tone of voice and style of hair, his opponent could easily occupy quite a vague age range. Norio wasn't thus sure if the other was younger or not. To some degree it did not matter, but the information was certainly no mere piece of trivia.

While Norio was clothed in his usual outfit - white long-sleeved top, with grey trousers - the other boy was clothed in a sleevless kung fu top, black pants and sneakers, which was not exactly regular shinobi gear, but it was ordinary enough. What Norio did find odd however, was the presence of a baseball cap on the other's head. The cap was tilted as if to cover the eyes and while one might be confused by the purpose behind this, the Hyuuga emblem on the cap gave that little secret away rather all too easily. It seemed quite odd to disclose your lineage so casually; were the Hyuuga not a popular clan in Konoha?

The fact that his opponent did so likely suggested that he was proud of who he was... and while there was usually nothing wrong with that, why would anyone be proud of being a Hyuuga?

Tch.

Norio hated the Hyuuga. It was an obvious contradiction of sorts, since he himself was one... well kinda. Due to the circumstances of his upbringing, the boy hated the idea of associating with his father's family. Living among the Hyuuga and learning their ways was merely a lesser evil, the other (greater) evil being living in an orphanage or on the street. This didn't change the fact that he disliked his father and felt no kinship towards anyone who bore the name he himself refused to represent himself by. Of course he wasn't foolish enough to squander gifts granted to him; even if he hated the Hyuuga, why would he not learn how to master his Byakugan or the Gentle Fist style? Only an idiot would allow his dislike or hatred to get in the way of gaining more power. Indeed learning the Gentle Fist style was quite fundamental. Chakra was after all a mixture of spiritual and physical power; a healthy mind was best found in a healthy body.

It seemed at first glance, that his opponent had the healthier body on his side. Hopefully, Norio's mind would be sufficiently superior to allow him to triumph.

Let The Match Begin!

The instant those words were said, Hiryuu reached for his kit. Norio followed the movement with his keen eyes, while his right hand traveled to his own kit (which was attached to the back of his belt) almost in tandem with his opponent. The boy jumped back (think: long step) the moment Hiryuu's hand resurfaced, hoping to thus confuse him slightly, forcing him to recalculate the use of whatever Hiryuu was planning to grab out of his kit. As it happened, the Hyuuga had grasped three shuriken, which he sent out in quick succession, starting himself to move after the first projectile was thrown. Norio's jump backwards did gave him a few extra precious seconds to react to the dangers.

Having grabbed a kunai out of his kit, the first shuriken, which was aimed at his abdomen, was quite easily deflected, the cling of metal  against metal sounding the missile's failure. The second shuriken, which followed swiftly after the first, was avoided by a movement of the head and his upper body to the left, the projectile missing his cheek narrowly. This left the third shuriken, which was travelling far too low for the boy to reach comfortable with his kunai-wielding hand. The movement of his head had limited him quite heavily in terms of what he could do, so he did the only thing he thought feasible in the amount of time given to him, and threw the kunai with a flick of the wrist, hitting the last shuriken out of the way in the nick of time.

Since the last shuriken had been aimed at his right knee, the boy had involuntarily stepped to the left, when throwing the kunai. Since he had already done so, it seemed only logical to keep moving in that direction, and especially since Hiryuu started advancing (directly towards Norio?) the boy himself broke into a run to the left (Hiryuu's right), his right hand urgently thrust back into the kit.

Spoiler:

As they reached for ninja tools, Hiryuu noted one thing – a long step backwards by his opponent? Why? He assumed they were both Hyuuga so why would his opponent step back? Were his eyes not pale? But even with his step back, Hiryuu was still moving to his opponent1, which meant as he dealt with all the shuriken with his kunai he gave enough time for Hiryuu to ramp up his speed and move to his opponent, no matter how little the time frame was since Hiryuu was fast. One after the other implies succession which means sequence. This meant that as as he dealt with the first one and the rest to follow, his measly step back wouldn't mean anything to Hiryuu's speed. And by meaning here – the definition is that Hiryuu was closing the 5m gap between him and his opponent... and at this rate, Hiryuu's speed would put him in striking distance in a few seonds.

Hiryuu would quickly pull out some shuriken and throw them with one hand again during his directional change. This time he was aiming for his opponents feet, quickly throwing the shuriken where his feet would land. Despite his speed or lack there of, Hiryuu's speed came from training and specialization... Nullifying any advantage he thought he had in moving.

Running also reminded him of his previous opponent. Hiryuu knew what to do here. Since his opponent was running to his right, it would eventually become a straight line again, because Hiryuu was moving towards his opponent and Hiryuu was using his full speed.

Two of the shuriken would be aimed to where his feet would land and the final one would be aimed for his right pectoral, just under the collar bone. His free hand is still prepared to move at a moments notice.

PostSubject: Re: Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio EmptySun 04 Jan 2015, 8:26 pm

OOC Note:

It didn't seem like Norio's opponent would make it easy for him to get away. The other genin was seemingly unfazed by the boy's neutralization of his three projectiles. He just kept on running at Norio, and when Norio tried to run to the left, the Hyuuga reached out for his genin kit again. Fortunately Norio already has his right hand inside his own kit, ready to grab the equipment he would need to counter whatever was coming at him.

The Hyuuga had reached for three shuriken, once again and threw them in the boy's direction. Unlike last time however, his opponent's focus seemed to be on stopping him from running away. Two shuriken flew towards where his feet would land, had he kept on going to the left. So Norio stopped abruptly. He was aware that this was the likely intended effect, as his opponent had clearly shown that he was a close-combat fighter and so Norio running away was not ideal for him. Or at least, that was the likely reason for why he was trying to charge the boy. Maybe the reckless charging was a bold bluff, made believable by the presence of the Hyuuga emblem on his cap.

Having stopped abruptly, the boy's right hand resurfaced, holding three shuriken of his own. Norio's eyes hurriedly worked out how to throw his projectiles as to counter the remaining threat, and his hand launched two of his three shuriken with that primary goal in mind. Of course the boy was aware that he needed to fight back and try to hurt the Hyuuga, and to that effect his third shuriken was carefully aimed at the other genin.

As luck had it, one of Norio's shuriken hit the Hyuuga's missile as intended, causing both to safely fall to the ground. The second shuriken designated to that same duty missed, instead flying quite high at the Hyuuga, placing his throat in danger. The third shuriken was flying true to its intended path, headed for the right thigh. Norio hoped in vein that the metal star would cut the artery found there.

Since his run to the left was halted, the boy instead dashed to his right. While the Hyuuga seemed much faster, the need to change direction twice now would hopefully slow him somewhat. Norio's right hand dipped into his kit for the third time, leaving his left ready to answer to any potential hand-to-hand attack.

The Hyuuga's speed could work to the boy's advantage. The two oncoming projectiles would be hard to deal with seeing as the Konoha genin was pretty much charging the white-haired boy at full speed. Stopping abruptly could prove much harder than it had for Norio, who had barely began to move to the left when his attempt was halted.

PostSubject: Re: Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio EmptySun 04 Jan 2015, 10:07 pm

The great thing about this entire battle so far was that it confirmed one thing about White Hair. His lack of faith in the Gentle Fist. By all rights of tradition this battle should now a match of blurred movements between both Hyuuga, sealing off each other chakra points. But it hadn't and that meant several important things to Hiryuu.

The distance between the two was five meters and that distance never grew beyond that number, it did the opposite. This meant that as they were running, Hiryuu was steadily closing the gap between them. Since White Hair was running away with his eyes forward to Hiryuu, he was running slower than the speed that his own body could give him, Hiryuu now was going to be in striking distance very soon as previously stated.

The intentions for the shuriken were obvious – to test the physical limits of White Hair, to test his mind and some other things. But as Hiryuu began to cross into lethal range with eyes open1, White Hair stopped to deal with the ones aimed at where his feet would land if he kept running. In doing that he'd done two things.

One, caused the range between White Hair and Hiryuu to decrease exponentially and two, he had also dodged the shuriken. During this time he'd pulled a shuriken from his pouch to stop the one aimed at his chest and threw two others at his throat and right leg. It became clear he wanted Hiryuu to stop running. Or... that White Hair's confidence in the Gentle Fist was more than just missing, he didn't possess the physical aptitude to challenge Hiryuu and knew that some how. But at this distance Hiryuu would not stop, and would use his bodily control he gained over intensive training to avoid the two shuriken and keep moving. With the Byakugan was on, he could see everything. Hiryuu simply did the same thing as last fight, waited until the last possible second as he saw the boy began to move right after throwing his shuriken.

He throttled his speed for a single twist2, never dropping below a significant portion of his total speed. Hiryuu twisted his body one single time while performing the rotation, turning his body with well placed feet so that the twist would simultaneously allow him to meet White Hair as he tried to move to his right. This also allowed him to avoid the tools bearing down on his body.

Even though he had tried to move to the right, Hiryuu would be upon him and in striking distance by placing his feet correctly to continue moving to White Hair. With the Byakugan active, Hiryuu's hands were ready as he closed in on his opponent, going into the 32 palms3. The twisting movement from the Jikuashi would make it easy for Palms to get off. Hiryuu would also keep his speed (and bodily movement) at a level that would allow him to get the full technique off even if his opponent kept trying to move away. But even though he was planning to do this technique, the Byakugan allowed him vision of anything that was new – especially keeping track of White Hair's hands. If the opponent was prepared for a hand to hand attack, Hiryuu would also be prepared with his all seeing eyes.

The boy watched as the Hyuuga performed an elaborate twist of his body, elegantly dodging the two shuriken which had been thrown at him at very short range. This twist released chakra in a fashion similar to the Heavenly Spin, though that technique was always performed when one was stationary and it was sustained for multiple spins; this variation was quite interesting. The jump and twist was an odd choice for dealing with the missiles, because rather than use the Hakkeshō Kaiten's defensive power to simply deflect the shuriken and render them harmless, the other genin seemingly used the Kaiten to propel himself forward. Maybe he thought Norio would attempt to attack him while he was mid-air, which was a well-placed fear.

The Hyuuga aimed his chakra-coated bullet-like body so to cut off Norio's escape. Of course, Norio, seeing the spinning body rushing to get in front of him, stopped abruptly yet again (this was likely what his opponent intended, or maybe his opponent hoped that he would collide with the boy). All this stopping was getting annoying. There was no helping it... He would have to put up a physical fight and somehow get away from this charging genin.

The boy quickly got into a fighting stance, his left hand in front of his body, which was lowered, his right emerging from his kit. The veins around his eyes popped out, as his irises became white and his vision evolved and improved exponentially. Norio waited, his body tense and ready, adrenaline pumping, his eyes focused more so than ever, as his kinsman landed having finished his elaborate maneuver. And as he continued to advance towards Norio, his hands raised, two fingers protruded, clearly preparing to use a technique that was most dangerous and would have likely ended the fight here and there had it connected, the white-haired boy finally struck back.

With his left hand shaped like a claw, palm extended towards the Hyuuga, his right hand (also a claw) under the wrist of the left, the boy thrust his left hand forward. Chakra surged from his upper body, exploding from his extended palm, firing out a compressed, violent vacuum-shell, that, like a super-powered, point-blank shotgun round, smashed into the body of the oncoming attacker. His opponent would be thrown back at least five metres, oxygen likely driven out of him, his abdomen taking a beating (though negligible).

But Norio would not rest on laurels. He reverted back quickly to his stance, left hand extended forward, while the right dived back into his kit. While his all-seeing eyes followed the movements of his opponent, the right hand produced two small scrolls, which he dropped to the floor, letting them unroll. Having formed a simple handseal, the two wooden creations suddenly appeared out of the scrolls, accompanied by small explosions of smoke. The boy's eyes were unfazed by the cloud of grey, harmless gas that seemingly blocked his vision.

One creature was a bull or had the looks of one, towering and menacing, standing proudly in front of the boy. The puppet next to it was less impressive, merely an impersonation of a six foot human being (taller than both boys), with eyes, mouth and fake red hair, clad in a long black cloak. Show time!

Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Vide
PostSubject: Re: Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio EmptyMon 05 Jan 2015, 9:33 am

OOC:

Countless hours of training and preparation had been forced upon Hiryuu since birth. His child hood was one of privilege, but it was also one of responsibility. Hiryuu earned the title Prodigy. The sleeping power lying in ones blood was not awakened by simply breathing. It took dedication and persistence. Hiryuu had both. And then some.

The Kaiten was considered a perfect defense, but Hiryuu used it in a different way. Jikuashi meant 'pivot' or 'turn'. Hiryuu realized the Kaiten could be used while moving, though only once. And in this motion he could bring the stationary power of the Kaiten with him into battle and keep his feet moving. This fight only required the power of the twist*. Jumping had only been useful in the last fight, and Hiryuu had the option to twist or jump. Or, being the operative word.

But before Hiryuu used the special move, he used the Byakugan1. When his opponent stopped moving initially, (as previously stated) his eyes allowed him great sight which bolstered close quarters combat prowess. The Byakugan made a Hyuuga particularly dangerous when specializing further into their physical arts. Those that honed in on their bodies succeeded more than those that didn't. And Hiryuu was a Gentle Fist specialist.

Hiryuu also understood that White Hair had a lack of trust in the Gentle Fist, and this became obvious as Hiryuu closed the distance. Hiryuu could see White Hair prepare his body for a move he knew too well. The Hakke Kuusho. This move was quick and dangerous, as it was invisible under all normal circumstances. But since Hiryuu's eyes were wide open, he would see White Hair stop and take stance and prepare his move. Hiryuu felt at home even at this range... Then again he was battling a distant cousin.

The problem with the Kuusho though, was that it telegraphed very easily. In this case, White Hair's shoulders and limbs telegraphed the move – giving it away before he could do it. In light of this, Hiryuu would come out of the spin, killing his speed and brace himself instead of attacking. He would use an elementary technique2 here and grip the ground with enough chakra to keep stationary, throwing up his arms to brace the technique before it. This kept him free from getting winded and was commonly referred to as a block.

That's right, he blocked.

Unfortunately for White Hair, Hiryuu knew Hyuuga techniques exceptionally well. He understood all their telegraphs, all their movements and applications. However, the most important thing was realizing the fundamentals.

Hiryuu slid four meters back and upon doing so whipped out two scrolls, unsummoning the contents as he to a stop four meters away from his opponent. He grabbed the small 15cm scrolls with one in each hand. Very quickly after grabbing them he spreads the scrolls open leaving the scrolls semi-floating so he could grab the items, with both hands. This means he spreads his arms out, so that the centerpiece are in between his shoulders (One hand for one scroll)

They summoned their objects at near the same time, Hiryuu realizing White Hair now had two puppets on the field. Analyzing them once over with his eyes. Since the length is only 50cm (Foot and a half) his arms wouldn't spread out all the way, but rather leave an obtuse angle instead of a 180 degree one. When the item sets came up, he grabbed the wire with his thumb by sticking it through the hole of the roll, and then clasped the two kunai with that same hand. At the same time with the other hand, he grabbed the senbon in his palm along, which were small enough to grab the smoke bombs. Then, he pocked all these items by merely ... putting them in his pockets.

As they both stood there with the smoke clearing for their summons, Hiryuu spoke.

"I think it would not be wise to tell our Elders we have forsaken the Trigrams for other arts. Win or lose, I am simply glad that I am not alone. "

Hiryuu removed the sword from the sheath with expert control. The Trigrams weren't his only art.

Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Vide
PostSubject: Re: Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio EmptyTue 06 Jan 2015, 2:34 am

OOC Note:
It felt good to finally drive his opponent back even if, granted, his attempt at doing so had not been as successful as planned. The other genin was surprisingly adaptable, having halted his charge just in time to partially block the Hakke Kūshō. Rather than be propelled backwards hopelessly, the Hyuuga instead slid away, his feet dragging across the earthy ground (the friction burn must have been a bitch), having stopped four metres away. The distance wasn't great, but it would have to do.

Since Norio used the Empty Palm and then instantly went for the scrolls in his kit, his scrolls were out before his opponent stopped sliding. Hence, his puppets were on the field first, appearing approximately when the Hyuuga had taken out scrolls of his own. Interesting. The odds of him being a puppeteer just like Norio were probably one to a million, yet wouldn't that be the greatest coincidence ever? Two Hyuuga puppeteers meeting in such distinct circumstances... such a meeting would had to be owed to fate.

But the boy didn't wait to see what would come out from his kinsman's scrolls, his fingers having unleashed thin, normally invisible to the eye (though Hiryuu's Byakugan would be able to see them) strings made of chakra. These strings attached to his puppets swiftly, five per each puppet, a puppet per each hand respectively. Norio was ready and his opponent wasn't far behind him.

Having unsealed the contents of his scrolls, Norio's Byakugan saw multiple weapons appearing out of the Hyuuga's parchments. Many items had appeared: kunai, senbon, a coiled wire and what were likely smoke bombs. Norio counted 13 items, which were swiftly pocketed, put away for future use.

The Hyuuga then spoke up. He unsheathed a sword as he spoke, meaningless words coming out from his lips. Elders? Betraying the arts? Who cared about any of that. Norio did not respond verbally. Instead his response was in the form of beginning of his counter-attack.

With a small private smile, the youth's fingers began to move, as both his puppets charged forward at top speed towards his opponent. The Bull was leading this charge, the humanoid puppet following closely beside (to the right of the Bull, and about a feet behind it), acting in a supplementary measure. Finally, Norio could do what he did best.

As the Bull covered two metres, his head tilted upward, his mouth opening to reveal what Hiryuu would likely see to be a launcher of sorts. And indeed it was. A subtle tug of a string activated a mechanism that released twelve shuriken flying towards Hiryuu from 2 metres away. Such a large number of shuriken could cover just about all the bases and counter almost any idea for defense or evasion the opponent could think of. Two shuriken would fly slightly to the left, two slightly to the right; four would be aimed at his upper body1, while another four flew towards his lower body2 , rendering ducking or jumping a poor and painful response. Having fired these projectiles, the Bull's head would tilt back down, lowering its (6 inch) horns so as to put them on the level of the Hyuuga's throat.

The Hyuuga would have to act fast and carefully if he didn't want to die right then and there from this projectile-barrage. Of course even if the threat of the shuriken was somehow neutralized, the Bull would be upon the boy almost instantly after the shuriken hit their mark, its huge, heavy body coming in fast, with a lot of momentum behind it. The second puppet was not a step behind, only appearing slower because Norio needed it to be where it was; it was in fact lighter and more agile. Norio felt pretty confident about this strategy, but his eyes were carefully surveying the scene, his fingers ready to redirect his puppets and change strategy if necessary.

1Aimed at: Head, left pectoral, right pectoral and upper abdomen respectively.
2Aimed at: Left thigh, right thigh, right knee and left hip respectively.

Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Vide
PostSubject: Re: Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio Hiryuu vs Rokudo, Norio EmptySat 10 Jan 2015, 2:25 am

Hiryuu turned his Byakugan off the moment his puppets were standing. His eyes allowed him to see through them as stated previously. This meant that Hiryuu knew the inner-workings of them, but he didn't know how they worked. He did know that they were loaded. The only way they could remotely move was through some application of chakra – Hiryuu had saw that much as they came up. Before he turned his Byakugan off he counted five strings per puppet. Weird. He'd keep watch of his fingers. He'd heard of puppets before, but how did they move? Hiryuu had to put the pieces together on what he saw with action. He held his sword in his left hand, the tip pointed towards the sky, his elbow down but four inches away from his side, fist holding the hilt in front of his left oblique.

Hiryuu began to move the moment they began to move, increasing his speed in a backwards run. (With his eyes faced on his opponent) As the bull began to run up to the 2m distance, Hiryuu used a small burst of speed1 to run backwards, enough to keep a three meter space between him and the bull. Hiryuu knew these... things were loaded with traps. Hiryuu kept moving backwards with his feet remaining evenly spaced and poised so that he'd be able to move and respond. This running speed was about safety, Hiryuu could easily control his body2.

Hiryuu kept his eyes on everything. The bulls head tilted upwards and he immediately began to move towards to the left (the bulls right) the moment the shuriken bared down on him. While continuing to move backwards, he also continued to move left with ease. This would put him more inline with the human creature, though he would still be moving to the left. (Eventually the creatures would be required to turn, but not anywhere near soon)

When the bull fired the shuriken that were aimed towards its right (the path he was coming inline with), Hiryuu blocked those two with an expert motion with his katana at its peak range (1m+). Hiryuu's katana was held in his left hand and was quickly brought outwards with the bladed edge perpendicular to his body, the tip pointed towards the right.

Hiryuu outstretched and cleaved using his wrist and his arm so that the bladed edge would first face towards White Hair at the beginning of the cleave. Hiryuu then moved his arms outward in the cleave, so that the tip was now pointed left in the direction he was moving. This knocked the shuriken out into the air easily, harmlessly off into the battlefield while all the other ones would miss him. Hiryuu would continue to move backwards and keep this three meter space, while re-positioning his hand and sword so that the tip would be pointed upwards. He would bring his bicep back parallel with his chest so that his elbow was pointed backwards and his fist would be a few inches in front of him. This position was reminiscent with his initial posture, keeping the elbow away from his pancreas and ready to act on a moments notice.

During this time, Hiryuu would keep his body ready for anything. After the cleave his right hand began to dig around with some of the items he had. He knew that his opponent might be able to see them all, but which one he was going to pick was up to Hiryuu's fingers. Hiryuu hadn't decided yet. He also kept track of the fact that the creatures were over 2m away from White Hair.

Hiryuu was going to answer a few things to himself, such as the flight of the shuriken initially, and where they were all aimed at. He knew the secrets both of the puppets held, but how they were being applied was still under the works. The puppet strings reaching from the master were obviously able to control the puppets and their bodies to some degree. He also noted that all of his fingers had to move in order for the puppets to move. That could only mean one thing... And as for the puppets moving, they moved just like a human would or just like any animal would, with operating legs. Those were controlled by his fingers too. This was a mystery he intended to solve.
