Kinzo's appearance is very traditional. Black hair, kept long as commonly done within the Nara clan, is styled in an edgy fashion and tied back into many strands, cuffed or wrapped. Unlike most 'shinobi' he does not wear the ordinary clothing of Konoha ninja, their flak jacket or head bands. Perhaps it is because he was undeserving, perhaps it was because he participated in a more self centered shinobi society-- more primal. His eyes are almond shaped, though remain true to his heritage, and he stands at a comfortable, average height.

His garb is that of a politician, more so than a ninja of the great hidden villages. Where others wore their kunai holsters, he wore well made pants, covered in numerous gowns and form fitting, flat shoes. Kimonos with fanciful, yet not over dramatic designs. Since youth, he was regarded as handsome, though he does not choose to build such a reputation for himself. His taste of appearance is understated, though it would be foolish to imply that he had no taste for it at all. He was, is, and will be known for his sleek visage and smooth words.

Personality:

Kinzo's personality is multi layered. To most, he would appear to be the more silent of men. Large eyes moving only when they need to, and taking in whatever it was they were tasked with absorbing. To those who spent more time, they might perhaps give him the compliment of a kind heart, a gentle smile, the likes. And, in truth, these are not lies-- they're just small parts of a much larger painting. Kinzo's personality is one shaped from years of conditioning. From a young age, he wanted to help others. That wish to help eventually grew into a need, and he acted on it. Though he never wished to become a proper shinobi, he took his post in the same public affairs, fighting on the field of a politician. In his father's foot steps, he was able to acquire some level of tactical wit and fly-about training in word craft.

Under that, there is an overwhelming draw to loyalty. His friends, family and leaders are incredibly important to him. But the others weren't. Never had he shed a tear at the news of dead Konoha shinobi, nor given much thought to the sacrifices being made, every day, on the battle field. Yet hearing of his own family's demise crushed him completely, and made him resistant to form new bonds. Colder, and a bit more cut off from whatever 'reality' is.

Combat Style:

Playing With Shadows. Kinzo has spent a large portion of his life playing with the shadows, so to speak. Now, in combat, the Nara Clan's secret ninjutsu looks to be at its utmost grace. Even so, while fighting, he has devoted himself to three fronts of battle, more or less. While two refer to his use of elements, the third is Shadow Play, an artistic use of his own shadow, and a perhaps more mobile tactic than often seen in the lethargic Nara clan. This, well, style of combat comes into practice when Kinzo rushes in on an opponent and unleashes a flurry of both physical attacks, and attacks involving his shadow.

Playing With The Wind. A style of combat which utilizes both ninjutsu and taijutsu in a strict combination. From a young age, Kinzo practiced an unconventional style of ninja art where he unknowingly fused physical movement and conventional ninjutsu. The result was a movement based manipulation of the elements wind and earth. With wind, the movements are made from more soft martial arts, flowing motions to move the air currents around his person. A light agility, and mostly evasive style. Even so, this style of combat is mostly made in retreat; it's incapable of massive damage or much beyond stalling distractions.

Playing With The Earth. Like with the wind, above, Kinzo's Earth variation involves the use of highly physical ninjutsu. The combination and natural mixture of taijutsu and ninjutsu. After activating a flow of chakra, Kinzo will manipulate the element around him-- provided there is any 'earth' around him at the time. Pulling material from the ground, and whirling it about at the enemy, this style warrants a much more powerful and slow martial art. An almost dance, done to continuously and concentrating on sturdy stomps, and shoving thrusts. Both heavily defensive, and potentially offensive, the effects are slower and less refined than conventional doton ninjutsu.

Description: A rare characteristic that one develops which allows them to understand and communicate with animals. Verbal exchange is common amongst those with this ability as the user will literally alter their voice to mimic the animal their speaking to as a way of communicating. More advanced people are even capable of feeling the emotions and pain of animals as well, although that requires physical contact. Animal Speaking is a very useful skill because they can manipulate animals to accomplish tasks, such as acting as scouts or gathering information they have already witnessed. Animals that serve as familiars to specific clans or people such as Kakichu Bugs, Inuzuaka dogs or summons, cannot be controlled due to their loyalty to their owners.

THE BACKGROUND.

History:

    Kinzo was born in Konohagakure no Sato, to a Nara clan mother and father just like any other boy. Neither his mother nor father held any particular prestige or honor, though they served their nation well. That is to say Kinzo's father died as a chuunin, and his mother later as a newly made medical ninja. It wasn't at all uncommon for families to fall in the line of duty. Konoha, like all great nations, was constantly under pressure to perform, and their resource was people. Ninja, shinobi, the terrible armies which the world of men had created for themselves. A selfish division of states, each bearing arms at one another.

    Perhaps it was because of all of this that he never became a ninja himself. Never entered in the Academy or partook in any general classes. Instead, he learned from those around him, the clan members of Nara, and the powerful mentors therein. Where others toiled in the wallows of transformation ninjutsu, class after class, he began to learn applied skills. Began learning the jutsu of his clan, even at the rate of the elder ninja. Over time, a passive aggressive pressure to become a ninja caused distance between Kinzo and the clan. A small resentment, but Kinzo did eventually accept learning the academy techniques, convinced that they were perhaps useful skills to have-- only too predictable in most cases.

    Even so, he pushed on, learned the clan's principles of combat, and started applying them through his own filter. Specializing in his own studies and victim to many positive accidents while experimenting, Kinzo began shaping his abilities in a different direction. It was around the time he began showcasing his real difference that he was subjugated into the line of political affairs. By choice, he shoved himself into governmental matters. Like so many others of the Nara, born into a naturally respectable position, forging his path wasn't impossible-- though well earned. Different, to be sure. He was not afraid to take matters into his own hands. And he had a way of, well, making people change their mind towards agreement.

    It was around the age of 19 that he started to gain any real recognition, having since framed himself as an expert on numerous inner-village functions. Having gained some political prestige for himself, Kinzo quickly rose on a charismatic and matter of fact opinion on the world. One which could easily be agreed with, and blunt enough. Though one who became increasingly more used to handling matters himself. Outside of the law, if need be. He had his suspicions and curiosities about the higher ups, and knew that one day he would be placed in room with them, too. Alone. At times even, he had been called to occasions important enough to require an ANBU escort-- always treated like any other civilian noble, and politician. Thus far, he's kept a pretty justice oriented public view.

Description: A simple jutsu that allows a ninja to seal or unseal any item, mostly weapons, from scrolls or from their body. After forming the necessary handsigns, the ninja will seal the item into a scroll etc. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. The items themselves are unaffected by time. Ninjutsu can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened, but require another person to cast said Ninjutsu; else it cannot be sealed.

Description: Kage Mane no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique used by the members of the Nara clan. It's original purpose was as a skill to help delay any pursuers. After forming the needed hand seals, the clan member is able to manipulate their shadow along any surface. They may use other nearby shadows to further extend the reach of their shadow, however they are limited to the surface area of the original cast shadow (They may not exceed an additional 15m of shadow this way). Once the clan members shadow reaches the target shadow, it will attach itself. While attached the target will be frozen, only able to replicate in mirror form the actions of the clan member. If the clan member is low on chakra, the Kage Mane will falter and the shadow will return to its normal form. The time of day should be carefully noted by those using this technique. If the sun is setting, the shadow will naturally be bigger, and thus able to hit the maximum range. If the sun is halfway across the sky, than the shadow will be much smaller, and incapable of reaching even the 5m limit. Additionally, if the struck member exerts 14CP of chakra (Whether it be physical force or some other In Character method), they may reject the shadow binding and free themselves. Though free, it does not prevent the user from catching them in this jutsu again.

Description: Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique used by the members of the Nara clan. Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Nara clan. To perform the technique the clan member will first bind their target using the Kage Mane no Jutsu technique. Once the target can no longer move, they form the needed hand seal to initiate this technique. The clan member uses their shadow to form a hand which will creep up their opponents body to their neck. Once the hand reaches the neck, it will constrict in such a manner so as to strangle the opponent. Opponents may break this technique by exerting 14CP after the strangling process. Breaking of this technique also dispels the Shadow Possession technique.

Description: Doton Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes the earth to create a Bunshin clone. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target, but none utilizing chakra. The range of the clone is limited however, it can travel no further than 10 meters from the original body. If the Doton Bunshin is injured, the clone will revert into rock that crumbles to the ground.

As if 'bending' the element, he is able to pull mineral from the ground, or toss boulders at enemies. Each attack or defense, in this way, is controlled by bodily movements; harshly pounding steps on the ground, motivated kicks and strong punches against rock. Kinzo has learned to garner his manipulation of doton, and doton material to the point of allowing himself a relatively unique method of combat, the trade off being that he is unable to use other conventional techniques while this jutsu is underway. To do so would be to end this jutsu instantly. What is more, there is a large chakra demand from this technique, so it can be hard to keep it going for long.

Those with an affinity for lightning focus their minds on the wild, erratic, spastic and unpredictable nature of lightning, tracing small sparks in electrical patterns from hand to hand. Those with an affinity for earth focus on the resilient, unyielding nature of stone, taking small rocks and pebbles and slowly shaping them in their hands. Those with an affinity for water focus on the flowing, flexible nature of water, gathering a small trickle and coaxing it into intricate patterns with their fingers.

Edit. Took out fuuinjutsu, replaced it with taijutsu. Switched custom Nara jutsu to pre-made Nara jutsu. Combat style has been edited for the changes.
