Bringing law to Hi no Kuni

As Yoru made his way down the road he had a mixture of feelings involving his newest mission. While it made him happy that the newest police force was doing its job, it was a little unnerving that the very criminals they were supposed to be arresting had made their way out of the village. Making his way down the road Yoru rested his hand on the pommel of his sword. The irony of having to deal with highwaymen was not lost on Yoru yet for his return to being himself, this was going to be the perfect mission for him.

As he made his way down the road Yoru ran over his orders in his head, it was almost like they wanted to see what he would do. Seeing as how he was caught killing four highwaymen it was possible they wanted to see if he would do it again or if he was going to arrest them as his orders said. Letting out a sigh Yoru continued to make his way down the road it was only a matter of moments until he would run into the highwaymen. As he gripped the sheathe of his sword Yoru looked around ready for any sign of trouble.

It didn't take long until Yoru heard laughter as several men stepped out of the woods with weapons drawn and smiles on their faces. Yoru could tell that these were the men that he had been looking for. "Seems we have a real fancy man here!" one of the men said to the rest of the group. The whole group now stood around him and chuckling at the prospect of an easy mark, which in a way Yoru had made himself appear that way in hopes that it would draw them out. Yet he was anything but an easy mark as he drew his word Yoru spoke up to the highwaymen,"By order of Konohagakure you are all under arrest." With that Yoru dashed straight at the closest person with the intent of putting him down.

As Yoru drew close to the first highwaymen he swung his sword aimed only to disable him. Yoru understood his orders and they were to take them alive for them to serve time in prison. As such killing them was going to be avoided as best he could but with four enemies it may not be the easiest of things for him to do. As his opponent brought his own sword to block Yoru's the clash of metal could be heard through out the clearing, It was at that moment the other highwaymen jumped into action and started making their way towards Yoru.

With one hand Yoru flashed through several hand signs as quickly as he could. With a puff of smoke three clones of Yoru jumped out with swords drawn and ready for combat. Each of them charging a different highwayman while the original Yoru stood pushing his sword against the first criminal. As all four Yoru's clashed against the different men in the clearing. While Yoru had access to his best sword V his clones wielded basic katana. For Yoru his plan had been perfect with each clone and him holding off a different highwaymen. Almost in perfect unison all four began performing hand signs causing their free hands to begin to glow.

It was at that moment Yoru shoved against the thief he was facing and delivered two sharp slaps with his free hand against the man. Each slap draining his chakra, as the man was not a shinobi he did not have refined chakra control it was a simple act to render the man unconscious. While at the same time Clone A slid his blade across his opponents sword, as his blade smacked against the opponent's hand guard the clone pressed up forcing him to release the blade from his hands and launch it into the air. which was followed up with a pick thrust of his palm against the man's face, which caused him to lose his balance and fall to the ground hitting his head and kicking himself out.

Clone B was having a bit more trouble with his opponent, as the man was deflecting the clone's attacks as if he were merely an annoying fly. With every slash the clone made the opponent would take a single step back while bringing his sword up to redirect the clone's blade. Yet in the end he was not paying attention to where he was going, With a single miss step the man tripped over the sword that clone A had launched from his opponent. With that the clone jumped onto the man thrusting his hand onto his opponents forehead. Almost instantly the man began to go slack as his chakra was drained rendering him unconscious.

Even while all this was going on the last criminal proved to be more of a problem than anyone else. In stead of pushing his opponent back and taking him out Clone C was having to be on the defensive. With every slash from the man the clone was forced to take steps back and block with his sword. Yet it was Yoru's clone's turn to mess up as a simple miss step and his opponent delivered a stab into the clone's chest. As the clone disappeared Yoru turned and looked at the lone man that still remained reaching for his second sword, Yoru was ready for his opponent as the other clones disappeared.

As the last clone disappeared Yoru charged the last man, swinging the sword in his right hand aiming at his opponents neck. He knew full well that his opponent would easily block his blade, as his opponent brought his blade up to block the first sword. Yet Yoru's plan involved the use of both his blades, with his opponent distracted with the first weapon Yoru quickly followed up with a second slash with his left hand sword. However his orders were to take his opponent alive so he brought the flat side of his blade against his opponent's head. With a resounding slap his opponent was sent rolling across the ground unconscious, it was almost surprising how easily these men had gone down. Yet to Yoru it was still a mission success and that only made him happier.

With that Yoru began to tie up the men for the guards to come along and collect them. Even as he was tying them up Yoru was whistling a happy little tune since he completed his mission. Even as he was finishing up with the last man a group of Konoha guards came walking towards Yoru. As the group finally reached him the leader spoke up, "Well Yoru-san. It looks like you were the correct person to hire for this job. If we happen to have more highwaymen on our hands we will be sure to request you again." Yet from the way the man was talking Yoru could tell that the man was only being nice on the outside.

Shrugging the man off Yoru began to make his way back to the village. He was very sure that by the time he reached home there would be another mission waiting for him. Though he didn't want to seem as if he was complaining about his work yet Yoru wanted something more important. He was no longer a genin he wanted a mission that would prove to test his skills.
