Born Blind: Members of the Hamon clan are all born completely blind. They cannot even perceive extreme differences in light. Due to this, their other four senses have become amplified to help them get through everyday life. As such, each member begins with the Blindness Affliction Characteristic regardless of the restriction.

Ripple Fist: The Ripple Fist is a style unique to the Hamon Clan. Through the use of their Doujutsu, the Utsurogan, the Hamon clan has access to what is known as Ripple Chakra. While it lacks any unique elemental properties, by applying various 'ripples' the chakra can take on its own unique abilities. In general, these take two standard forms: Personal amplification and physical disruption. In the former, ripples are used to increase the user's own strengths such as physical power or stamina. In the latter, the ripple chakra is inserted into an opponent to disrupt their body's natural flow. Because of this style, Hamon Clan members often study in Taijutsu or Weaponry alongside their Ninjutsu.

Kekkei Genkai: Utsurogan (Blank Eye)

The Utsurogan is a Doujutsu shared among the members of the Hamon Clan. The most notable trait about this Doujutsu is the fact that anyone who is born with it is born completely blind. When the user's eyes are closed, the Doujutsu is inert but will be automatically activated upon the user opening their eyes. The eyes themselves are completely white and utterly featureless. While it is easy to mistake it for the Byakugan, close inspection reveals that there is literally nothing in the eyes of a Hamon Clan member.

When the Utsurogan is activated, the user's body will begin to produce Ripple Chakra. In its most passive state, the user will emit very fine waves of chakra from their bodies. These waves spread out and rebound off of any objects they touch. The Utsurogan can see these ripples and thus the user gains the ability to 'see' the area around them in a manner similar to echolocation.

The other part of their Doujutsu is the Ripple Chakra itself. Ripple Chakra is exactly what it sounds like. Chakra that moves as though it was ripples on a lake. If the chakra was to be seen physically, it would appear bumpy and rapidly vibrating. The chakra is capable of a wide variety of abilities basied on the frequency of the ripples.
