Spoiler:

Mannox approached the lovely lush gardens of reflection. He figured today would be a good day to study. He looked around at all the luscious trees, and flowers surrounding him. This place was indeed tranquil and a lovely place to read. He sat down with a large book and decided it would be a good idea to study here. He opened the book and read. It was a lengthy book about different experiments of ninja, and many different crafting systems amongst other things. He flipped over to the crafting section and began to read.

"Chapter 1. The crafting of a Training Dummy that fights back
In order to craft a training dummy you would need wood, a 3/4 inch spring, and a circular pivot. First step is to craft the wood into a human being. By doing so, you allow yourself to recognize the vital parts of an opponent. Begin by carving the head. Make sure to carve eyes, a nose, ears, a mouth and other facial features that are vital to any human being. You may go into as much detail as you'd like, or as little detail. As long as the features are there. Once the head is completed inspect it for flaws. Anything that could cause it to crack or break upon being struck, will need to be worked out. Next you should carve the torso. Remember, normal torso features are important, but details are not. Carve the abdominal muscles, the chest cavity, and if you can, form a sort of ribcage to make it more realistic. Once you inspect that, work on the arms. These can be as dedicated or as simple as you'd like. You must remember to give it a weapon! After you inspect the arms, feel free to begin on the base. You can form legs, or you can build a solid base. Features are always important but details are not. Once you complete the body, carve a spot in the base for the spring. Insert the spring. Then place the pivot on the spring. MAKE SURE THIS PART WORKS! grab the pivot, and push it in one direction. If it moves and snaps back, then you've done it correctly. If it doesn't, then you must repeat the attachment of the pivot. After you correctly attach the pivot and it springs back, attach the torso to the pivot. Push the torso to one side, and watch it snap back. Add the arms and the head and your return fire dummy is complete!"

Mannox grabbed some wood and began to carve the head. He carved it to look just like someone he knew, but didn't know the name of. He gave it the best detail he could think of. He inspected it and found no flaws. He began to carve the man's torso. He only saw him from afar so he did what he could to get it exact. He added arms and gave it a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. That may not have been what the ninja wielded, but Mannox figured it would be best to train with that. He carved a large base that was about a square foot wide and about two feet tall at the bottom and approximately a half a square foot wide at the top. It was solid wood so that his blows wouldn't topple the training unit. He put his clan symbol on each side of the pyramid like base so people would recognize that it was made by an intelligent Nara. He inserted the spring and the pivot into the base and tested it out. It snapped back into place. He attached the body to the pivot and tested it again. It worked once again. He attached the arms, and the head, and decided it was time to practice evading attacks.
