| Hōzuki, Engetsu.THE INFO. Name: Hōzuki, Engetsu Nickname: Akame (Lit. Red Eye / Bloodshot Eye) Age: 14 Gender: Male Appearance: Though he was born with a mild case of albinism, he does still manage to share some traits with the Hōzuki. He maintains a pale white skin, and reflective white hair. Engetsu was also blessed with not having the rugged teeth of the Hōzuki, which came from his mother’s side. Her dental works always seemed perfect, like Engetsu’s. Also, in due part of his albinism, the natural blue-purple blend in his hair tone is completely absent. Instead his hair tends to change colors based on scenario. Usually when it is very sunny, his hair will glow a faint red-orange, even yellow occasionally. When night, it will seem a more bluish-white tone. This is primarily because of the lack of melanin in his hair, which allows it to reflect all forms of light, and give his hair such a magnificent illusion. Indoor lighting, or artificial lighting, for the most part, doesn’t accomplish this; and in dark corridors, his hair becomes incredibly visible. Since the little bit of light that is in the dark corridor, reflects off the white hair. Much like how a white shirt seems to glow at night.
Engetsu’s albinism gives him a few features that make him differ from regular humans, even his odd looking clan members. Besides the obvious white hair, there is another very common train for those with albinism. This usually occurs in those only mildly influenced, like Engetsu; and shows up as very blood-red eyes. The sclera is still white; but the iris itself is very red, something most people need a Dojutsu to have. This trait is common in nature for animals with white fur, though not so much for humans. There is another basic trait shared by those with Albinism. Pale skin. While it may not be something completely unordinary, this pale skin is very weak to sun rays. Lucky for Engetsu, he is part of a clan especially resistant to heat; although early in life he may still struggle from sun burns and deep tans. His skin varies from season to season.
As for clothing, Engetsu has a different choice of attire compared to his clan. Sure he wears the tight shirt like most Hōzuki, but for the most part the rest of his attire was lacking. His general choice of clothing is always monochrome shades. Black, white and gray. The shirt is usually black, white or both; the pants are either black jeans or white dress pants; and the male always wears a white jacket with white fur around the collar. The only articles of clothing that cannot change into water are the jacket and forehead protector, the latter of which is either around his arm like a band, or around his forehead when in combat. The rest of his attire easily transforms into water along with his body, due to all of the clothing created by a special chakra enhanced cloth designed specifically by the Hōzuki. The tight clothing helps express his fairly moderate build, although the sleeved jacket is there to keep people from noticing his lack of actual muscle. During the summer, this jacket isn’t even part of his wardrobe.

Personality: As one may assume of an albino; Engetsu has had a rather difficult life. Many religions and cults believe that albinos are a sign of bad luck and destruction; even to the point where they end up persecuting and killing them off. Of course, Engetsu was lucky enough to be born in a physically powerful clan, though their stature holding very little ground in Kumo when compared to Konoha. Their name alone kept Engetsu from being murdered in his early life, though the dozen or so attempts leaving a rather awkward scar in his mental being. Through most of his childhood he believed everyone outside of his family to be ruthless killers, and thus had little trust over anyone. Over time of course, he grew to trust people more openly, though even now his paranoid and shy self seems to come out whenever he meets new or unknown people.
As one could guess for a socially awkward childhood, Engetsu tends to get suspicious over very trivial things, and has a very difficult time socializing and making friends. It's more on the fact that he's an albino than anything else. After all, red eyes, pale skin and white hair would scare off anyone with a rational sense of decency. Because of the lack of friends, Engetsu has over the years developed minor schizophrenia. The male regularly socializes with himself publicly. Figments of his imagination always hold better conversations after all. It may not be full blown and diagnosed schizophrenia, but the voices in his head constantly lead and sway his own personal opinions. This shows similarities to Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Syndrome), though these personalities never actually take control of his body. The child simply speaks to them as if they were real. A majority of the time he keeps his mental talks to himself, though in the midst of combat he loses focus quite often and tends to speak to himself. It's somewhat of an advantage to confuse the enemy in the middle of combat, but can be an incredible disadvantage as well. After all, he can just as easily unknowingly share his battle tactics with the enemy.
Awkward as the male can be, he easily holds his ground in social gatherings. Though he often does not socialize with people, whenever he does conversations are rather fluid. He's managed to figure out what other people enjoy listening to; and thus his natural defense method is to simply make jokes. Occasionally a topic may turn awkward due to Engetsu's strange theories and insane logic; but most of the time it’s normal. Or at least as normal as an albino can make it. Whether it be a high-ranking public figure or just a group of new comrades, Engetsu is rarely left out of conversations. He tends to act very cool and collected on the surface, but beneath his mental ideals are incredibly disfigured. He has a very high threshold for anger, but once broken Engetsu will hold a grudge for weeks, and such an event could easily end friendships. He does push other people's buttons as well though. He'll often annoy people for the sake of starting a conversation (trolling), and thus it is not uncommon to see him fleeing from a woman with a frying pan.
Each of his several personalities tend to have their own personalities and emotional radicals. There are a total of seven possible personalities, not including his original. These influence when he feels angry, sad, happy, and the like. Each one represents a basic personality complex or mental thought process. The following are as follows: - Happy - The basic voice of happiness. This one doesn’t talk as frequently to Engetsu, but is usually always the one to disagree with the rest of the personalities in their little group sessions.
- Sad - The basic voice of sorrow. This one is quiet like Happiness, but in combat tends to annoy Engetsu more than anything. This personality likes to find the quickest way out of the combat itself, and will usually try to sneak in some form of rash suicide.
- Anger - The basic voice of wrath. This one is almost always speaking to Engetsu, and displays most of the emotions he feels when talking to someone Engetsu may find ignorant or moronic. Since he tends to think highly of himself, the Anger personality can sway his opinions a good portion of the tine.
- Wit - The basic voice of reason. This is the most common voice in his head, and is always struggling to fight off Anger. Wit seems to have the best ideas, and is the one to help Engetsu quite often in any situation. This voice is usually the most listened it, and Engetsu thus maintains a bias toward the other 6.
- Bloodthirst - The voice of irrationality. This voice is almost never listened to, even when the ideas tend to be very good. The primary reason is due to Engetsu’s hatred of the voice. Engetsu seems to disagree with everything this voice says, and for a good reason. It always leads to “Kill him.” Bloodthirst has the biggest ‘strength’ in Engetsu’s conscience, and can actually take over for a limited time. Usually when near the brink of death, or when severely pissed off.
- Envy - The voice of jealousy. Another one of the ‘lead’ voices. This one usually goes alongside greed, and will constantly try to sway Engetsu’s opinion into stealing or doing other malicious acts. Though not on the bottom of the list like Bloodthirst, it does sway his opinions somewhat.
- Apathy - The voice of not caring. Apathy is rarely ever productive, though will occasionally give decent ideas. Like staying away from certain situations to avoid getting hurt. Can be thought of as the ‘safe’ emotion, although it fairs off more as the “I don’t care” stereotype.
His morals may be odd and his social skills even more demented; but in combat everything comes to a halt. Combat is one of the few things that helps Engetsu clear his head, and easily come into 'rational' thinking. Though he does not notice it, Engetsu is most calm when in combat, to the point where his body doesn't even produce the adrenaline necessary to forcibly risk his life. In fact, he's so calm that he'll logically throw himself into combat without the adrenaline. If he ever did get into an intense situation where adrenaline was applied, one can simply assume that he would become even more reckless. As mentioned before, he is very rational in battle. The conversations he has with himself become strictly over a single subject, and he can actually process his thoughts without having to argue with himself. He literally creates his own 'rush' when in combat, and all of his mental personalities seem to be in unified agreement on specific tactics. Rarely does he actually argue with himself, though when he does it's most often out loud. Relaxation is often felt during the entire course of combat. This is a great advantage in battle, as rash decisions tend to occur when under stress and adrenaline. Clan: Hōzuki Nindō: “An intellectual is someone whose mind watches itself.”
THE NINJA. Origin: Mizu no Kuni Affiliation: Kumogakure no Sato Rank: C-rank (Genin) Specialties: [Ninjutsu | Genjutsu] Elemental Affinities: [Suiton] Combat Style: Even though he was a Genin for a couple years, his combat style has yet to mature into something useful. Currently he practices in his clan arts more than anything, and will often utilize only Ninjutsu in an entire battle. This habit spawns from the fact that he was taught to use his clan’s Hijutsu since he was about four years of age. Forced to practice this technique into perfection. Over time he managed to go from one hand to the entire arm liquefied into water. Now he uses his Hijutsu very often, and will tend to spam low level Suiton jutsu to distract his enemies when he goes in for an attack. He tends to keep his distance from the enemy though, and will very rarely use his Hijutsu for close range combat. Instead resorting to a quick ninjutsu-based retreat.
Recently though, he has become fascinated with Genjutsu. Though his knowledge in the technique is still young, he plans on mastering it now that he’s learned how useful it can be. He doesn’t often use Genjutsu, and likes to think of it as his trump card. The main reason is due to his lack of knowledge in it. He doesn’t know when to correctly utilize this jutsu, and will either use it at a wrong time, or just fail at using it altogether. His low arsenal on genjutsu is also a bit of a pain when it comes to its proper usage. An amateur at best, he still plans on becoming much better in due time. Chakra Control is key to preserving your stamina which will increase your vitality and enable you to use techniques to it's fullest capacity. It is essential for nearly all specialties of Ninjutsu but is heavily coveted in the areas of Medical Ninjutsu and Genjutsu which require good chakra in order to perform their techniques proficiently. Those with Advanced Chakra Control however are able to take it to the next step and preserve more noticeable chakra from their standard pool. Depending on the rank of the technique, a small quantity of chakra is preserved within the body when executed the Jutsu, which ultimately lowers the cost of your techniques. Furthermore because your Chakra Control is so flawless and exceptional, your Surface Walking and Water Walking techniques no longer cost chakra because you can now perform them effortlessly. This technique does not lower the cost chakra points going towards maintaining a jutsu, only creating them. D - 1 cp reduced. C - 2 cp reduced. B - 4 cp reduced. A - 8 cp reduced. S - 12 cp reduced.
THE BACKGROUND. History:
Birth & Childhood - Spoiler:
Born on June 5th in Kirigakure no Sato, to the son of Zangetsu and Nazami Hōzuki; Engetsu was fortunate enough to become the first born of the clan’s leader. Because his parents were both Ninjutsu masters, Engetsu was blessed with a natural talent for Ninjutsu itself. Even to the point where his chakra capacity seemed to be comparable to that of a Genin at birth. Like the rest of the main family, he was named after the cycle of the moon when he was born. The moon was crescent, and so his name became Engetsu. Literally meaning Crescent Moon.
Even since birth, the male showed signs of the albino disorder. The red eyes were supposed to fade away into a more natural color, but as time seemed to pass his skin only grew paler, his hair whither, and his eyes more red. It was evident by the age of 1 that he was infected with this disorder, and life would become difficult for him. Once news began to spread that the leader of one of the more powerful clans of Kirigakure had an albino child, the religious activists, cult followers and even organizations began to hire guns to take out the Hōzuki. It could be said that Engetsu’s birth was the cause of this sudden battle; although the tension between Kirigakure no Sato and the Hōzuki residence had been strong for many decades. This was simply an excuse to run them out of town, now that a majority of the population despised the entire clan because of Engetsu.
He was still too young to know, or even care of this dispute. He wasn’t even two years old when the clan decided to split apart. There was a great debate as to where the clan would go. The majority decided to ditch the albino, and go to Konoha. The albino provided horrible luck for the clan, and they thought things would only get worse. Engetsu, his parents, and a couple close friends headed toward Kumogakure, to hide away until things phased over. It took a few years, but the bounty hunters slowly diminished, until they reached zero. In that time period, Engetsu had begun learning how to use the Hōzuki’s Suika no Jutsu.
It took him until about seven or eight before his parents allowed him outside of their small house. By then he was already somewhat socially awkward; having watched his father kill several men who in turn were sent to kill Engetsu. Thankfully the leader of the clan wasn’t a weakling, and managed to survive these many assaults. Battle scars weren’t something the Hōzuki often held either. Simply based around their powerful clan Hijutsu.
Upon finally leaving the residence of his house, Engetsu didn’t earn any respect from others at all. Though they didn’t know about the Kirigakure feud, his albinism was still frowned upon by others. His parents even had a hard time getting him into the Ninja Academy, actually having to pay off several people and beg to the Hokage. He was given permission, under the grounds that Engetsu’s parents retire their ninja duties. They had to build their own business from scratch to support themselves.
Genin - Spoiler:
Upon finally passing through the Academy and graduating as a Genin, the male was unable to find any viable groups. People seem to have a strong bias over Albinos, and many of the Chuunin and Jounin refused to accept him into their teams, and thus Engetsu was forced to work on his own. Somewhere during this time period, he picked up Genjutsu after experiencing a rather difficult mission. The Genjutsu intrigued him so much, he actually began to study it. The user does not gain the properties of their transformation (ie. horse like strength), and may only transform into something ranging between 1/2 of their regular size, to 2x their regular size. Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu • Body Replacement Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10 meters Element: N/A Description: After performing a tiger seal, this technique allows the user to alter places in a speedy manner with another nearby object. This is done mere seconds before an attack lands, thus making the attacker believe his or her attack was a success. Whatever object was used to alter places will receive the brunt of the enemy’s attack instead. The object that the user switches with must be preset somewhere else in the thread, meaning that the object must have received specific mention previously in the thread. Chakra Cost: 2

Name: Chozou no Jutsu • Storage Technique Rank: E Type: Fuuinjutsu, Supplementary Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: A simple jutsu that allows a ninja to seal or unseal any item, mostly weapons, from scrolls or from their body. After forming the necessary handsigns, the ninja will seal the item into a scroll etc. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. The items themselves are unaffected by time. Ninjutsu can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened, but require another person to cast said Ninjutsu; else it cannot be sealed. Chakra Cost: 1CP to seal; 1CP to unseal.
Name: Suimen Hokou no Waza • Act of Water Surface Walking Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: NA Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on water by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet or hands. Because of water’s nature, this requires the user to be quick to adjust the amount of chakra they must emit to their feet in order to maintain a constant balance. Users may also walk, run and “skate” across the water when using this technique. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
Name: Kinobori no Waza • Act of Tree Climbing Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on trees and vertical walls by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet. Gravity can easy be defined if this technique is mastered, allowing people to even stand upside down. If too much chakra is exerted the user will be pushed away; bark breaking and causing the user to then fall. If not enough chakra is exerted the user will lose their footing and fall. Upon punching the enemy, the punch will twist and unleash a small blast of water for added effect. Consumes 2% of water weight. Chakra Cost: 5 [2]
Name: [Suika] Jigasosei - [Hydrification] Self Regeneration Rank: C Type: Hijutsu Range: - Element: Suiton Description: Does not requires hand seals, but consumes a large portion of water weight. Can be used by Partially Influenced members provided the damaged area was liquefied before the damage. See Hōzuki clan details for information on regeneration. Requires one whole post of non-interrupted self healing, or two consecutive interruptible posts. (This jutsu will be modified in the Hozuki update.) Name: [Suika] Chissoku - [Hydrification] Suffocation Rank: C Type: Hijutsu Range: Close Element: Suiton Description: After placing their hand either directly beneath the throat of their victim or on their collar, the user will proceed to liquefy their hand and spread this water along the target's skin, eventually sliding the substance down the target's throat and mouth to suffocate them and eventually drown the enemy. Requires constant contact with the target, usually in a choking manner, and is very easy to break out of. Consumes 5% water weight to fully drown. Chakra Cost: 5
Name: [Suika] Munetekken - [Hydrification] Chest Fist Rank: C Type: Hijutsu Range: Close Element: Suiton Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is capable of creating a third arm from their chest. The arm temporarily consumes 10% water weight as it produces an entire arm. Consumes an additional 2CP to retract back into the stomach, but no water is lost this way. Can be extended fast enough to mimic the force of a punch. Chakra Cost: 6
Name: [Suika] Shuriken Ude - [Hydrification] Shuriken Arm Rank: C Type: Hijutsu Range: Close~Mid Element: Suiton Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user may slide up to 5 weapons into one arm. They can then proceed to rotate these weapons around to lethal speeds before proceeding to either fire them from the arm at high speeds (The average speed of a normal ninja throwing a normal weapon), or proceed to punch or make contact with the target for close range slicing. Weapons must be no larger than a fist, and thus is limited to primarily shuriken, kunai, senbon and other E-D rank weapons. Chakra Cost: 6 [2]
Name: [Suika] Mizu Yadama - [Hydrification] Water Projectiles Rank: C Type: Hijutsu Range: Close~Mid Element: Suiton Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will proceed to erect an arm forward to unleash several small golf-ball sized projectiles of water at high speeds (thrown shuriken speed) at a target. Upon contact the golf ball explodes to produce powerful blunt damage. Cannot pierce skin, but can leave a bruise. Fires at least three balls, and consumes 1% water weight per ball. Chakra Cost: 3CP per 3 balls.
Name: [Suika] Mizudeppo no Jutsu - [Hydrification] Water Gun Technique Rank: C Type: Hijutsu Range: Close Element: Suiton Description: Does not require hand seals, nor does it consume water weight (Because of how small it is), but does consume a considerable amount of chakra for a small attack. The user aims with a gun-shaped hand at the target, and fires a small water bullet at them. Enough to pierce the skin about an inch (2.5cm) deep if fired from a meter or two away; leave a bruise at three to five meters. Beyond that it acts like a rain drop. Able to disperse a shadow clone at close range. Chakra Cost: 2 (Only because it's a tiny little droplet. If fired repeatedly, it adds up.)
Name: [Suika] Genko Enka - [Hydrification] Rocket Fist Rank: C Type: Hijutsu Range: Close Element: Suiton Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user fires their fist at high speeds (thrown shuriken speed) at the target. Since their fist is primarily water, it will simply make a large splashing damage upon impact. consumes 2% of water weight. Does not require regeneration to regrow fist. Chakra Cost: 5

Name: Kirigakure no Jutsu - Hidden Mist Technique Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Far (10m+) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will spread their chakra around the surrounding area to forcibly evaporate existing water to create a thick mist. By kneading chakra into the mist, one can thicken it and allow for sensing of movement within this mist, though this consumes 1 extra chakra per post. The mist wears off in five posts after activation, unless additional chakra is used to sustain the mist. Maximum range for this technique cannot exceed 20m in radius. Chakra Cost: 4 [1 per post after 5 posts.] +1CP if thickening mist.
Name: Water Release: Water Drowning Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: The ninja first does a string of hand seals, which causes a column of water to rise from a nearby water source. Name: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu - Water Clone Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Suiton (Water) Description: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target, but none utilizing chakra. The range of the clone is limited however, it can not travel further than 10 meters from the original body. Name: Kori Shinchuu no Jutsu - Sly Mind Affect Technique Rank: C Type: Genjutsu Range: Mid (5m - 10m), Far (10+) Element: N/A Description: Kori Shinchuu no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique which causes the target to travel around in circles. If the ninja is unable to detect the illusion very quickly, they can become exhausted mentally and physically when they are unable to reach their desired target by traveling along the same path over and over. Chakra Cost: 7 (Chakra Cost Per Post: 2)

| Actually, I took that into account. The hydrification technique isn't actually a jutsu, but just a simple chakra cost indicator for the Hijutsu. If necessary, I can just change it to E-rank; unless those go toward the limit as well. Either way, thank you c: |
