Bloodline Name: Souma No Kou (Attack of the Twin Demons)

Souma no Kou [Twin Cellular Symbiosis] 250px-YinYangCat

Location: Found sporadically through the ninja world

Signature Traits: Demon Sibling The core of their Kekkai Genkai as well as their unique existence is the presence of a second personality and body within their own, born to them with their own separate conscienceless and mind. They are a twin, identical in many ways to the main host, and capable of taking control of not simply the host's body also able to divide themselves from their sibling and maintain their own fully functional body. Their sibling is capable of any abilities that the host is capable of, and has the same specialties, SCs, and jutsus as their host. When divided, both host and sibling shall half of their chakra reservoirs to access, rounded down. Any harm the sibling receives will not effect the host, even after their sibling has reconnected himself. However, the damage the sibling receives will not fade away for a full-day, and vice versa if the Host stores himself within their sibling's body. While connected, the siblings may exchange their thoughts, mentally communicating with one another. In addition, if joined together, any genjutsu that effects one sibling will effect the other. In the case that one of the siblings dies, the remaining one shall experience tremendous physical and psychological trauma, that may leave them forever scarred and potentially unable to continue living themselves.

Kekkei Genkai: Souma No Kou

Spoiler:

History: The bloodline is not truly a form of Kekkai Genkai in the sense of it being passed on consistently, from father son. Rather, Souma no Kou is a mutation that has a random and extremely low occurrence in individuals during their birth, specifically in the case of twins. Normally, during birth, twins will separate early on and become their own individuals, identical in many regards visibly and genetically. However, in the case of Souma no Kou, the twins will not disconnect and instead remain one single entity, with both maintaining consciousness and inhabiting one single body during the birth. The child will grow up with two minds, two distinct personalities which may or may not become apparent to the child's parents. Their unusual kekkai genkai will typically begin to reveal itself around the age or six or seven, the twins having matured enough to partially divide themselves without ill-effect. Due to the rarity of the bloodline mutation and the extremely low chance of it occurring within close generations, it is not unusual for the twins to be shunned and thought of as monsters, their ability to divide and rejoin disturbing. On the off-chance they are raised in proximity to shinobi, there is a good chance they'll be recruited into an academy, villages recognizing the unique and powerful applications of such an ability.

Typically, there is a main sibling, who is known as the host, who will by default control the body when joined and handle the majority of social communications and day-to-day activities. In a village, they will typically give their name and not their siblings for the sake of simplicity, and to maintain a normalcy. In turn, the other sibling will tend to remain dormant and not act, preferring to let the other sibling handle things, and communicate mentally through their joined bodies. However, who is the host and who is the rider is not well established early on, and is typically not settled between the siblings until around the ages of twelve and thirteen. How it is settled differs from case to case. Their day to day lives are somewhat affected by their condition, one more notable example being their consumption of food. In order to satisfy the needs of not one but two bodies, they must eat twice as much as an average human being. Furthermore, their cognitive abilities vary wildly, the advantage of two minds, two sets of memories, being extremely useful in some situations, and a disadvantage in others when the two minds are in disagreement. While it possible for the siblings to split apart for a long duration and distance, they feel innately more comfortable when in close proximity to another, regardless of any fights they may have. It is difficult to determine how their longevity is affected by their union, as many ninjas die from battle rather than age, and the cases of Souma no Kou are few and unspecific.
