Tougyo - Gore Manipulation

Members of the Niiro clan have two different chakra types aside from their individual elemental chakra, however this kekkei genaki, unlike many others does not combine different chakra natures to form a third special and more advanced/powerful chakra type. However, in order to fully understand and use the Kekkei genkai of this clan, any given shinobi must be adept with medical ninjutsu. However, there is a large flaw to the clan's kekkei genkai, and no amount of chakra control or rank can negate it completely: the clans men, themselves, are not immune to their own jutsu and chakra types, giving them a mediated time limit in battle situations. The damage that is done to the users of the Niiro clan during use of their kekkei genkai is damage is accumulated over posts - each post the user will take a certain kind of damage. In order to heal this specified kind of damage, the character has to stop all use of the specified kekkei genkai chakra until enough posts have passed in order to regenerate. In this way, the user may only be able to use a limited amount of jutsu before they run out of time using that specific kind of chakra, and before they change to a different kind of chakra.

Flesh Manipulation:

This is the first chakra type of clan members of the Niiro clan, called Sukin chakra. When using ninjutsu from this category of chakra, the user will be able to fully manipulate and even reanimate dead flesh. This cannot be used for medical purposes or actually grant life to any individual, or player, but can, instead, manipulate them like a hive mind manipulating a group of sloppy once living humans. With the flesh manipulation, Sukin chakra, users can summon and bring forth dead bodies with which they can activate their jutsu on, animating the subjects to fight for the user. However, during the time a member uses this Sukin chakra, their own flesh will begin to rot and mutilate itself, becoming weaker and weaker the longer that the user uses ninjutsu from this section. This mutilation causes pain to the user and physical change as skin rots and begins to fall away, as well as muscle tissue becoming weaker and weaker until it reaches a breaking point. Mental Corruption:

The jutsu of this kekkei genkai's section are run and powered by Nousui chakra; functioning around creating genjutsu-like hallucinations that the user can inflict on the target. However, these visions are, in fact, not genjutsu in the slightest, and more closely related to ninjutsu. Jutsu that remain in this category of the kekkei genkai revolve around emitting Nousui chakra around the battle field, once it makes contact with the target, it begins to warp the targets mind and force hallucinations upon them. However, like all other jutsu types from this clan, the users of this kekkei genkai section are not fully resistant to their own jutsu, and in this way take the same kind of damage over a longer amount of time. The user is 80% resistant to their own chakra, but not completely, and because of this, after a while the user will begin to fall under the same mental state, not able to concentrate on one thing, and if continued for too long, the damage becomes permanent, and the user will lose their sanity completely, rendering them unable to think naturally or use the part of their brain that is in charge of reason. The Niiro clan's history is an interesting one, simply because of its age and secrecy. The Niiro clan is one of the oldest clan's in history, and over time has become more and more elaborate until it has almost formed a small village, nothing in size comparison to a hidden village. The clan, being one of the oldest in history, took roots in the time line around when jutsu were first being created. Because of this, they watched as the separation between jutsu types started to take place; genjutsu separated from ninjutsu, and so on and so forth. However, the Niiro clan never understood this separation, and focused on fusing all of the jutsu natures into one ultimate creation - their own kekkei genkai.

In the Beginning of the clan's history, an artifact was found. This artifact was, and still is, unable to be identified as anything that could be created within the human world, and has special properties that would be impossible to fully reproduce even through the most advanced sealing jutsu. Because of this, the artifact was revered among the few who found it - and the artifact quickly spawned an intensive evangelical religion (see religion information below). This religion quickly became known as Unitology. The clan's members started out as more of a cult that was completely dedicated to reading the symbols that were etched into the odd sculpture, thinking that it meant something that had to do with immortality. Quickly the secrecy was weakened as more and more knowledgeable members of the cult were able to see and make contact with the marker. It was then that the phenomenon started to occur - members that had been exposed to the Marker for long periods of time started to gain abilities that were similar to ninjutsu and other shinobi qualities, only slightly different in that the abilities seemed to be granted from otherworldly sources. However, while some thrived with this "granted" ability, others started to lose their sanity from the Marker.

Quickly, the Marker gained respect as something that should be worshiped, and the religion was opened to the public, within the cult; all the members, even those that had not been able to gain exposure to the marker. Quickly the clan's need to gather information on the Marker, and growing faith in the object started the beginning of a more formal clan of ninja. The first ninja within the clan were the first to be granted abilities from the Marker. There were eleven members in total that had been able to utilize the powers given to them by the Marker.

What was soon realized, however, was that these members had not only gained the ability to use the powers granted to them by the Marker, but the ability to pass it on to their offspring. Because of this, the eleven members, now revered as something more than human could formally start the gene pool to found the Niiro clan.

However, what they did not know was that they were not immune to their own abilities until it was too late, at which the eleven members admitted that this power was indeed to powerful for mankind to handle. Before dying, the eleven member's passed on the Marker to the new leader of the clan - a man by the name of Jinco Niiro. He was the one in charge of naming the clan after his own last name. Being the spawn of the eleven elders of the clan, he too owned the abilities of the Marker. It was Jinco that fully brought the clan to a thriving point when he discovered what the Marker did that gave it is special aura; it had re creative properties, as well as the ability to convert others to bend to its will. Similarly, the clan members that had been granted power from the Marker had similar abilities passed down onto them individually. The ability spread like a disease across the clan, spreading over the cult, however most were unable to handle the burden of the power, and were easily manipulated by the Marker to perform the most common form of praise or prayer - committing suicide. It was soon learned why the Marker wished to have the members of the clan fall to its death wish - in order to unify them and manipulate them after death.

Jinco passed away due to the same fate, finally "finding the true meaning of his position." However, after this, less easily manipulated rulers took the clan into their hands, and, bent by the sick religion, started accusing those that were non believers in the Marker's abilities infidels. All infidels, even that were not within the clan, were targetted as those that simply did not understand that death was the ultimate answer, and that after death, they would be shown a better future where they could live for eternity. The bent and twisted clan rulers allowed the religion to take root, and rot away at the morality of the clan until the clan and members of the religion would follow any word given from the leader of the clan - seeing as the leader was the only one that was able to see the Marker personally, unless someone was granted very special permission from that clan Leader. Now, many thousands of years later, the clan has built elaborate churches and, despite the mass murders that the clan has committed, and conducted mass suicides, has remained almost completely hidden undetected from any village in particular. The clan is built underground within a series of maze like tunnels lit by candles. Now, however, the clan's leadership has not changed, and the leader is still worshiped as something higher than human, however not at the level of god; something more along the lines of a semi deity, or translator of the Marker's will, with the Marker as god.

Unitologists adamantly believe that the human race was created by the intelligent design of a divine alien agency, and will be reunified after death in Heaven through the power of a sacred artifact known as the Marker. The promise of the Church of Unitology is one of "transformation and rebirth". This scripturalized message is poetic, elusive and unscientific despite their claimed origins in a secret research project (led by the leaders and most trusted members of the clan), and embodies the abandonment of reason for the profession of unwavering faith in the promise of the Marker. Much of the detail about the Church's inner workings remains undisclosed to outsiders and most adherents.

The basis of the religion is the Marker, an artifact of unknown origin and purpose. Oddly, many scientists, even the leaders of the clan, have little idea of the Marker's true purpose and origin. The meaning of the inscriptions about the Marker has puzzled Unitologists for years. Unitologists believe that the inscriptions on the marker are a message that will reveal the true origin and meaning of human life. They believe the Marker contains a code that will be the key to eternal life and bring about a physically real paradise that will save mankind from its destructive materialistic course. This thought was first introduced by one of the first individual leaders of the clan, Jinco Niiro before he was killed by the "Marker's will."

The Unitologist religion is highly eschatological, based upon their conception of the end of days similar to the apocalypses described in many religions. Death is central to Unitology. Unitologists believe that all living beings will intertwine in the manner of the two prongs of the Marker, to become one. They call this process Convergence, and believe that it will alleviate all of the destructive materialistic problems of the human race. The Unitologists seem to believe that they will be saved and that non-believers will not be saved (unless their bodies come into the possession of the Church). They refer to people who do not accept their end of days as "infidels". The clan leaders believed that sacrificing ones body, by means of suicide or some other kind of death, to the clan's jutsu was equal to being saved, seeing as they would live on for eternity in that form. Furthermore, the clan leaders have made it their duty to convert others to death - under the impression that by submitting others to death is saving the ignorant that do not have the strength to believe. Convergence is the attainment of spiritual oneness in paradise. Oneness for Unitologists does not mean a usual oneness of God theory (although it can be supposed Unitologists do have such a doctrine), but the coming oneness of humanity: human souls will cease to possess their individuality and all become intertwined as a single entity. Sometimes the word "soul" is substituted for "body" or "flesh", in what is thought to be a figurative reference.

The Marker

The marker is a huge statue or sculpture that is made up of two prongs that intertwine until they almost touch. Each side of the Marker is etched with markings and symbols that the meaning is still unknown, although it is thought that, based on the re creative properties of the Marker, it holds the key to eternal living - otherwise known as immortality. The Marker stands tall as a huge statue that rises many hundreds of feet above the human's heads. However, it was found, and still remains deep under the ground, and because of this, the Marker has become the central beacon for the clan's location - however, it is not able to be seen publicly. Instead, a fake marker that is only about ten feet tall stands in plain view, while the members of the religion are told that this is the real Marker. The real Marker resides just below its smaller decoy, still emitting the dark energy into the central hub of the town like church based community.

Prayer, Preaching, And Public Conduct

Unitologists are usually quite evangelical. They often preach openly to non-Unitologists in an attempt to convert them to their message. Unitologists are open and unashamed of their beliefs, despite many of the public regarding them as bizarre, particularly their belief in an intelligent alien designer of humanity. They publicly wear Marker pendants as a social statement that they are not ashamed to show their beliefs, and that they are the only ones that will be saved and uninfected during the convergence that others will experience. Prayer is done in a meditative state, silently, or muttering strange words that do are unable to be recognized by someone that does not practice the religion, and thus practice the secret/hidden language that Unitology offers. During this meditative state, the praying individuals will hold their hands so that they cross, and come back together like the Marker does so gracefully. This is the most important part of Unitology practice. Death is the most important step for Unitologists, and Unitologists are encouraged to celebrate the death of loved ones and hope to join them, rather than mourn them. The Unitologists refuse to allow their member's bodies to be buried or cremated, instead preserving them with jutsu. The reason for this is the belief that a human body must be untouched after death, as it is the "vessel" for the member's convergence. "Convergence" is the belief that upon death, if the human body has been kept intact and the Unitologist has lived an unselfish life, that all the bodies will one day be reborn with ascended spiritual and physical prowess, and will live in unity with his or her other members as a single community. It is heavily encouraged by members that they keep their bodies in the best shape possible upon death. Convergence is done by the clan members jutsu. Despite their supposedly peaceful exterior, The Church is noted for having many cult like features including its indoctrination practices, its hierarchy and its proven capacity to induce mass suicide. The teachings to embrace death further enhances these.

Above is a chart of the secretive language's alphabet that is taught by those that are members of Unitology's church. All jutsu used by the members of this clan are spoken in this language. Furthermore, the members of this clan often communicate with this language as their first language. Each member of the clan, however, is also taught the language of whatever land they are born in, so that they may also be able to bring others into the religion in order to achieve more deaths. If someone refuses to join the religion, and the clan member sees them as a threat to the secrecy of the clan, they often kill them, and bring them back anyway as a vessel for jutsu.
