| The Son of Hijana Arc Begins ~Post Kage Summit Arc~ The Yamazaru Clan is one of the most sacred and mysterious clans to be introduced to Kumogakure. Having migrated to this village many ages ago, the clan still holds substance of individuality aside from most other clans. It was a very dark time when the clan elders first step foot in this village, a time where fear and war was at its prime. Having many battles with neighboring villages Kumogakure was constantly on edge, and thus new comers to the village where constantly on watch. Even with the harsh interrogation background check every member of the clan had to go through, that was far from enough to become average citizens and especially Ninja. For many years the clan members had to hide their Kekkei Genkai from other villagers, in fear that they would be disbanded from the village due to prejudice. Having no other country to go to, the clan members done everything possible to hide their secrets and their craft, which would lead to making underground bases under clan headquarters. These bases where so well hidden and protected that even the Flash Force didn't have any clue about them.Threw time the knowledge of these bases diminished with the mass death of the clans members many years back, leaving only few who know about it. The Forest God Hijana, whom the Yamazaru pray to have been the symbol of power for the Yamazaru for years. Not much is known about Hijana by the younger generations, but prophecy states that one day a clan member will be the reincarnation of Hijana himself, and bring power once again back to the clan.
Kinu awoken from this bed in a agitated manner, swiping the sleep from his eyes as he leaned forward. Dropping his hands from his eyes and slowly opened his eyelids to let his eyes adjust to his small room. Even though his room was small Kuni loved his room, he always kept it neat evem without his mothers orders. He had short silver carpet that was nice looking although stiff, as well as freshly painted gray walls. He had two small dressers each beside his bed, and ontop of them where countless trophies and decorations from his cross village racing wins. So much history and fun was packed into that room, and Kuni found it hard some days to leave it. Kuno was wearing his traditional pajamas which consisted of set blue pants and shirt with smiling monkey faces on it. He also was wearing that cute little hat that came with the set, free of cost. His hair was messy, his skin was oily, and he was still tired from the mission he did the previous day. Placing his hands on the thick spring mattress beneath him, he slowly pushed himself off the bed and stretched. Kuni then walked over to the window across his room and admired the sight of the sunshine coming out of his shades. Peaking out of the window Kuni saw the beautiful busy village of Kumogakure with the immense mountains in the far background. Kuni thought it would be another day in the village, be was soon be in for a surprise.
After a long session of showering and getting dress, Kuni took one final look in the mirror before making his way downstairs. He studied himself, and the first thing that came to mind of his was his clothes. A over-sized red shirt that came to his mid thigh area, with a V-neck cut as a collar. Kuni couldn't wait until he went shopping and got him a new attire, but knowing his family they probably wouldn't get him a new wardrobe until he was Chuunin. But with the little money he was receiving for his mission Kuni might be able to buy himself some new clothes without their aid. But now wasn't time to worry about it he figured. Leaving the mirror Kuni went to his dresser and picked up a small black comb on the corner of the dresser. While walking to his door he gently combed his hair down, and patted it flat with his other hand. Usually he would spike it up, but today he wouldn't a more subtle look as some would say. It wasn't long before he exited his room that his father called his name. Casually walking down his wooden steps Kuni saw his father by the entrance area holding a rather small scroll. He was wearing his Flash Force attire which was odd, usually he couldn't' wait to take it off seeing as how he thought it looked tacky. But I digress.
"Good morning son, hows my young Genin today?" He said while patting Kuni's head. Kuni smiled and hastily re-combed his head after his father removed his hand. "Look, I know I haven't been around as I would like, its hard being part of the Flash Force. Kumogakure has been quite busy and they need-". "Its okay Dad!" Kuni interrupted trying to break the start of a looooooong explanation speech. His father smiled and continued. "Well, but that's not why I wanted to speak with you. Your Grandfather requested you at the Clan Headquarters... probably one of his wacky premonitions again." Said his father while handing Kuni the scroll. Kuni's grandfather was very old but yet powerful. Hes the Clan Leader as well as a Village Elder which makes him highly respected by everyone. Kuni loved his Grandfather Izaku, and looked at him as a role model. Izaku also had the ability to see the future in his dreams, although no one believes his visions. Kuni wondered why Grandpa Izaku would want to see him so urgently, especially after just visiting him a week ago. "Well okay Dad, I'll go see him now." Said Kuni. His father gave one last smile and formed a hand-seal, in a instant he vanished.

| Kinu walked out of his house door with the expression of innocent confusion on his face. Grandpa Izaku always favored Kuni out of all the young Yamazaru in the clan oddly enough, but none the less when he requested company he would request everyone. Being singled out from his clan brethren by his Grandpa was quite a feeling for Kuni, almost like he was special in a way. Kuni stepped off the stone steps of the porch casually and prepared for a long walk down to the Clan Headquarters. Before moving forward he looked back at this house which he usually does as a symbolic goodbye to his family. With his body facing the streets, only his head turned at a angle to view the house. Kuni's house was about average size and very identical to most houses in Kumogakure. Dark stone walls that would turn pitch black at night, a cone shaped stone roof and lastly a plain wooden door. Kuni would love to take a crack of the villagers who designed such funny houses, but knowing the history of the village they were probably built centuries ago.
Facing back to the road Kuni began his journey to the Clan Base. The base was located in a distant mountain area who some would say is in the 'backyard' of the village. Despite common belief the base was actually quite lovely and some wouldn't believe it was connected to Kumo at all. Kuni walked past many elderly people and shops on his way to the mountains. The elderly loved Kuni for his childish charisma even though of his quite nature, they had a warm smile that always opened up Kuni's heart. A half an hour into walking Kuni stopped in front of a ice-cream stand located by a clothing store at the corner. A old dark skinned man pushing a large metal cart with giant pink and blue puff balls glued to it. It was quite a ghetto appearance, but it was ice-cream none the less. Kuni stopped by the cart and smiled. As Kuni took out some Ryo from his pockets the man smiled and excepted the money when Kuni handed it to him. Kuni peaked inside the cart to pick a flavor of a ice-pop in which he intended to eat. "Hmmm... strawberry, and I should probably get Grandpa one too." Kuni thought while selecting two snacks. Closing back the lid, Kuni paid the man the extra ryo for his Grandpas snack, the man snatched the coin from the air with a giant smile. Waving the man goodbye, Kuni continued his way to his headquarters.
After a long journey of walking threw the immense village of Kumogakure, Kuni took his last step on the mountain steps. With his hands covering his eyes, Kuni wanted to be surprised when seeing his beloved clan base in this radiant sun. Peaking threw his fingers, Kuni saw the paradise like mansion area shining as the clouds above it circulated around it in worship. The Yamazaru headquarters was beautiful, being positioned on-top of a mountain area it provided solitude and anonymity to the outside world. The base was separated into three small traditional mansions all connected by a bride that lead to a fountain area in the center. The walls were concrete and white and the roofs where neatly polished wood from Tea Country. But one of the most amazing things about the base was the various species of monkeys which inhabit it as-well. Although not technically living in the mansion, the monkeys come from the forest area to probably ravish in its beauty as-well. But Kuni's father says that these monkeys are personal body-guards of Grandpa Izaku, having said that Izaku is so powerful with monkeys he could command them across miles.
Entering the area casually, Kuni smiled as he couldn't wait to see his Grandfather. As he entered he felt a strange energy wave phase threw him and disappear as he walked, probably a Fuuinjutsu barrier. Walking down to the garden area located by the right mansion, Kuni walked threw a door made of plant petals and was now in the garden area. The garden area was a small dome like structure which housed many different variety of plants. It also had a small sitting area in the center for a peaceful and quite time. Kuni made his way to the center while fighting off plants that whipped his face as he moved. Finally making his way to the center, Kinu saw his Grandpa sitting on a small bench. Izaku was very old. He had brown wrinkled skin and many wrinkles due to his age. His hair was long and extravagant, shimmering down to his back like a cape of some sort. It was without a doubt that his hair was the most youthful aspect of his features. Izaku also wore a black robe like many of the elder villagers wear, as a sign of wisdom and power. Kuni approached his Grandfather slowly and with a warm smile on his face.

| Izaku's head turned slightly in Kuni's direction, while keeping his body still and in proportion. Kuni was facing him on his left side while entering the sitting zone. Kuni looked into his face and saw the embracing warm smile in which Grandpa Izaku was so notorious for. In a old aged voice, Izaku returned the greeting. "Why hello Kuni, thank you for coming in such short notice. I hope I didn't spoil any of your youthful activities." He said with cheesy sarcasm at the end. Kuni smiled and walked towards the bench in which his Grandpa was sitting on. Grabbing the arm of the chair for support, Kuni gently sat himself on the bench in hopes that its old age was a optical illusion. He then scooted himself more towards Izaku and placed his petite hand on his shoulder. "No worries Grandpa! Here, I got you a small gift." Kuni said cheerfully while reaching into his pockets. Pulling out a small strawberry pop-sickle from one his pouches, Kuni watched as his Grandpa eyed the snack like a fox on hens. It was hilarious for Kuni as his Grandpa swiped the pop-sickle instantly, he forgot how much of a sweet tooth Izaku really had. After a few minutes of exchanging smiles and communication, it was time for the real talk to begin.
"Kuni, how much do you know about our clan?" Izaku asked in a strikingly serious tone. Kinu looked down in a thinking position. "Well just the basics... the Shukyou Seal, Animal Sealing, being migrated from Mt. Shukyou.." Kinu said estrange due to being lost in thought. Izaku smiled and stood up from the chair. Both his hands were folded together in front of his torso and he stood up straight. "Kinu, you are a very special boy with powerful gifts. My premonitions including my instinct know that you are destined for greatness. Prophecy states that every generation the Great God Hijana creates a incarnation of spitting image of himself into our clan. He is the God of all that breathes and that which grows. You Kinu... are spiritually his son." Izaku preached. Kinu dropped his pop-sickle on the stone pavement area, he wasn't expecting such a far out speech in such short notice. After that there was a long speech about the clans history that was more in depth then Kuni could ever imagine. Izaku told him about the origin of their powers and the great religion in which they derived from. After a few hours of discussing, it was time for the next step. "Alright Kuni, now I need to show you something. Come with me." Izaku said while walking towards the back doors. Kuni risen from his seat and wiped the dust off his pants as he did so, following Izaku afterward.
Both Izaku and Kuni arrived at the bottom of the basement staircase only to be surrounded by strange walls. These walls weren't ordinary, they had strange paintings on them which resembled animals, probably prehistoric. It was now a little later in the evening and Kuni was grateful that he didn't have any planned missions today, because so far he didn't know how this event would turn out with Izaku. He also wondered why he was there. This was a strange place, what was suppose to be a basement is enclosed stone walls a few feet from the staircase. Izaku stepped forward and immediately triggered Kuni's attention. After forming a seal small animal spirits in corporal form slithered out of his sleeve, it was a incredible sight. "How did he do that?" Kuni thought while watching these spirit animals touch their counterpart pictures. In seconds the door glowed with amazing white light and revealed the true basement of the mansion, the original Yamazaru Base.
It was a incredible immense room that Kuni thought he could only imagine in his dreams. It was a dome like structure with monkey paintings on the ceiling. The floor was soft spongy material as well as the lower walls of the room. The room appeared to be the size of a small forest area indeed. It was without a doubt that this place was a training area rather then a headquarters, and it was a sweet surprise for Kuni. In the very back of the training dome a giant statue of a three faced horned god lay against the wall, and even at the long distance attracted Kuni's attention. The sight of the statue did more then just catch his attention, it memorized Kuni. Kuni thought the statue looked familiar, almost as if it where his other life. Slowly walked towards the statue without even noticing, only to be followed by Grandpa Izaku right behind. Now standing a few feet from the statue from walking the entire area Kuni snapped out of his daze. "Whats this?" Kuni asked while staring into the statues eyes. "Thats Hijana, the God I told you about. Now, I have to leave you alone for this Kuni. Good Luck." Izaku said with a smile. He turnned his back on Kuni and walked three steps before disappearing into thin air. That was the second time someone has done that Kuni today. "Wait!... what do I do?" Kuni asked while looking back at the statue.

| Kuni placed his hands on his hips and studied the Hijana statue with much curiosity. He placed his thumb on his chin which complimented his thinking posture. He was still, silent like a rock in a barren land. He occasionally hummed as his eyes scanned every square inch at this marvelous piece of architecture. Then something hit Kuni, he noticed that the hands of the statue where holding something in their open-palmed position. It was so small Kuni was unable to see it at first glance. It was a scripture of some sorts, embedded inside the statues golden palms. It was hard to read, the inscribes were so dull and it blended in with the statue, making it almost faint. Kuni touched the readings with his hands and gently stroked the dust away. Before his hands got off of the hands Kuni felt a small prick on his finger. "Ouch!" Kuni yelped while retrieving his hands. Kuni then noticed small droplets of blood dripping from the ground, and more importantly on the statue itself. A hint of shock overcame Kuni as he thought he was in serious trouble for staining the statue by Grandpa Izaku. But, to his surpise the blood started to move on its own and fill the letters in the scriptures. It took a moment for Kuni to release what was going on. In a matter of moments the blood completely vanished into the words and the tablet started to glow a green color, radiating the area. Kuni eyes widened and he stepped back to avoid what was about to come.
Then, in a instant the glowing subsided and stopped. Once that happened Kuni was very discombobulated, and looked around as if others have seen it even though he was alone. A small spark emitted from the tablet, and a ghostly corporal cat arisen from it. The ghost cat was small, about the size of a hand at that, and it floated around the statue before flying off into the basement. One by one more animals came from the tablet, all different colors and animals. Kuni watched as they did what he would call a ceremonial dance near the ceiling, twirling and flickering around each other. It was the oddest thing that Kuni had ever saw but yet the most amazing. The animals then stopped and descended to the ground area around Kuni and circled him. The spirit animals each looked at Kuni intensely, and bowed their heads at him at the same time. Kuni nodded his head back to faintly, trying to collect himself. The animals where in a perfect circle around Kuni, possibly a few meters. Then Kuni watched as one of the animals walked closer while the others remained still, the Cat.
Kuni watched as the cat approached him, and instantly jumped to his feet and tensed himself. The cat seemed to get bigger and take the size of a original cat in a matter of seconds, although maintaining its ghostly form. This, something strange happened. The cat started running back and forth in feline grace around Kuni. Kuni watched the cat and studied it for a few moments. "It wants me to copy it?" He thought while getting on all fours. Kuni started following the cat in circles, and he felt extremely silly. Then he started to feel strange and more comfortable, and then his awkward cat run turnned professional. After a few minutes of copying the cats jumps and runs Kuni felt his chakra changing inside him, and the seal on his stomach started to grow. He paid no attention to this, he was to mesmerized by the joys of which he was feeling. Then instantly, Kuni turned into a cat himself. Once that happened Kuni stopped and looked at his now cat body. "Holy Shi-". He thought while looking at himself. He now had a shimmering white fur coat and a tail. His feet and hands turned into paws and he could feel his two large ears wiggling. Kuni knew instantly that this wasn't a dance, but a training session.
One by one each animal came up to Kuni. The second one was a small bear that tumbled towards Kuni and wrestled with him. Kuni wrestled back with the bear and then just like the cat he transformed into his own version of a bear. This happened for all the numerous animals which came from the tablet, and it was a amazing experience. For every transformation Kuni gained the knowledge and power of that specific animal and each time his seal glowed and transformation. From what Kuni observed his seal on his stomach turned into what appeared to be a Horned God, and with every transformation the seal stayed on his body. After hours of training with the spirit animals, all of them stopped and once again formed a circle around Kuni. Kuni reverted back to his human form and bowed to each of them, with a warm and gentle smile on his young face. At that second the animals rocketed back into the tablet, leaving Kuni once again alone in the basement. From the distance, he heard footsteps behind him. |

| Kuni turned to look and see who was approaching him. He knew that it was probably Izaku that was coming towards him, and he hoped that this training was finally over. Now turned around Kuni gave a proud smile at Izaku with his chest held out high. Izaku was wearing a different attire from the one before, this time he wore a green robe instead of brown. He also had a black scarf wrapped around his neck and shoulders, complimenting his skin ton. But more importantly Izaku was wearing a hat that appeared to be tribal in nature. It had mutilate exotic feathers sticking at the top and a golden pendant at the center. Kuni seen something like that before in his house, but couldn't remember at that moment what it was. Izaku approached Kuni slowly and stood a few feet away from him. He had a bright smile which expressed tremendous joy after knowing his grandson passed his training. He patted Kuni on his arm and Kuni smiled.
"Good job Kuni, I'm very proud. But there's one final thing you have to do." Izaku let go of Kuni's arm and reached into his pockets, after a few moments he retrieved a small golden skull. Kuni looked at the skull with confusion, but he knew that it was the skull of a monkey. "This is a Chantum Monkey Skull, its very sacred in our clan, I want you to take this skull to Iron Country and give it to a man known as Romaku. He should be waiting for you in the entrance of the village. Oh and by the way, this quest must be done in animal form. Best of Luck, and tell your father I said hi." Izaku said as a somewhat goodbye. Kuni was excited to finally go out of the village to Iron Country, he heard rumors about that place and respected their neutrality. Taking the small sack which contained the monkey skull Kuni wrapped it around himself in one motion and hugs Izaku.
After a long goodbye Kuni made his way out of the mansion, but not before he admired the garden once again. Stepping out of the entrance area Kuni saw as the monkeys ran up to him and patted his legs in a playful nature. Making his way out of the group of monkeys Kuni made his way down the mountain area and back into the village. It was very dark this time around and everything seemed to be pitch black. Kuni took a look at the night sky and stared at the bright stars which shined threw out the darkness. The moon was hidden behind the clouds where only its faded shape was shown. It took a half an hour to go back to his house, and immediately Kuni jumped onn his comfortable bed. But for now he will have to pack and prepare himself for Iron Country. |
