Suna answers the call - Renjiro and Caranore

After receiving the S.O.S message from a Kumogakure team the Kazekage convened with the Council and decided to answer their call for help. They thought it would be a great way to create an alliance with one of the major players in the world but also to try and stop an attack on Sunas' Genin teams in the fast approaching Chuunin Exam. After some time of deciding what team they should put together they came to the choice of a two man team. Those two ninjas are Renjiro Senju (Konin) and Shitsumei Ibuki (Jounin) and both shinobi are experts in their chosen fields for their ranks.

An hour had passed since the S.O.S. had arrived and the council had just made their decision. The Kazekage had sent Chuunin guards to both Renjiro's and Shitsumei's homes to deliver them a duplicate of the S.O.S. scroll Sunagakure got but as well as guarding Renjiro and escorting Shitsumei to the main gate.

It took ten minutes for the Chuunin guards to be briefed and another 30 minutes to get to Renjiro and Shitsumei. It took Renjiro another 20 minutes to get the gates and that is where the guards would disappear and leave. Who was this Shitsumei guy he had heard so much about? ... Why was he paired with a Jounin? ... Did the Kazekage think this was too much for a two man genin cell to handle? or did the Kazekage believe there was too much to risk so the Jounin was to guarantee the success of the mission? These were the questions that ran through his mind as he stood there waiting for his partner for this mission.

Ibuki sighed and stretched, getting up from his seat at the ramen shop to head to the main gate for his mission. A Genin team from Kumo heading down into the Moon Country, he believed it was. One of their members was unconscious, compromising the mission. He sighed again. Chancing an encounter with the enemy ninja in the first place was a very stupid thing to do, instead they should have laid low and escaped the area, sending to Suna for rest and a medic instead of a team to rescue them.

Then again, Ibuki really had no idea what happened before their teammate was knocked unconscious, so he couldnt say anything. Out loud at least. Throwing the Ryo down on the counter for his payment, Ibuki headed toward the gate to meet his partner. If he remembered correctly, and his memory failed very rarely, he was being sent out with a newly ranked Konin. Konin... the name didnt roll off the tongue as easily as it should. He was a Senju, and one that specialized in Fuuinjutsu Ibuki remembered, mostly from reviewing and being briefed on the Genin's profile beforehand. The council was going to approve the mission anyways, most of its time considering was spent trying to find Ibuki, and brief him. Genin were so much simpler to do so with, but Ibuki needed to know about the entire problem and the basis of the mission. The whole ordeal had him shaking his head and swearing. A Genin team going after those blue prints without an instructor? Very bad idea. He would have thought that their Kage had a better idea of missions than that.

Back to the Genin though... there was probably quite a few things that Ibuki could teach him but that could wait for a separate time. The main concern was first getting to the Suna coast where the team was supposed to be situated. Ibuki could have cried when he thought about the distance needed to be travelled by foot, it completely defeated the purpose of his day, which was to relax. Shrugging the annoyance away, Ibuki reached the gate, checked in with the guards, it was hard to not notice them following him anyways, and took a good look at his Genin. Spikey brown hair.... gi... and a Fuuin Senju. Ibuki let out an internal sigh and motioned for the Genin to follow him out of the gate, showing the mission detail to the guard. Once out of the walls of Suna, everything was brown, and everything was hot.

"Aight, lets get going then. We have around a 12 hour trip to the designated area, provided we can find it. Its still in the Wind Country, but god knows how big this thing actually." Ibuki said, putting on his sunglasses and walking in a south eastern direction. It would require Ibuki to be much closer to the team before he could sense them, but based on the mission scroll, if they saw the ships then there would be no real problems in finding them unless they were smart and managed to infiltrate. Which, being Genin, Ibuki doubted, since most Genin had stories of glory and grander things put into their heads at the Academy. He doubted that any Academy for any Village actually told Genin what life was like in the midst of battle, or how many of them actually had killed before today. It seemed doubtful that they would have, but Ibuki never really knew how Kumo ran their things, being isolated in the mountains and what not.

Renjiro had been waiting for 5 minutes before Ibuki arrived in what seemed like a very pissed off mood. the words Ibuki spoke was of a man who didn't want to come on this mission but was eager to go and sort out Kumogakure's mess to show Sunagakure's greatness. As Ibuki spoke Renjiro nodded as he followed Ibuki out of the village and into the vast desert in a southerly direction.

"So ... Ibuki ... 12 hours you say? That's really far in this weather. I was wondering ... I read your basic file today and it didn't say much ... But it said your a Fuinjutsu user. Is that right? I ask because although I'm a Mokuton user ... I have some limited Fuin skills which I need help homing in on. Could you help me?"

A few hours had past and as it did the pair exchanged words with Renjiro revealing most of his ninja profile and skills to Ibuki to help him understand his skills and jutsu more. the conversations were good and relaxed for Renjiro but the weather was appalling and energy zapping even for a Sunagakure resident who was used to the beating sun. "Ibuki-sama ... can we take a quick 30 second rest please ... i need to rest ...". Renjiro would continue talking and walking onwards regardless if Ibuki refused to make a quick rest stop.

Ibuki yawned at Renjiro's question, it actually was cool compared to most days in Suna, but there was no shade and instead only blazing heat which essentially made the entire journey harder. Ibuki himself had no problems traversing the sand, but he had forgotten about the little Genin following behind him, and Ibuki wasnt exactly moving slow. He could give the Konin credit for trying to keep up atleast. Ibuki nodded with his head toward the tree line and flipped through a few basic hand signs, something that all Genin in Suna were requried to learn in the Academy, telling Renjiro that they were almost there. If he looked around, it was true. There were trees in the immediate horizon, maybe a 30 minute walk away, and trees didnt grow in the desert without a large water supply, at least in that magnitude. There was no point in talking now, they didnt know the mission specifications, or how many enemy nin were actually there. But, if they did have ANY ability in sensing chakra, they would know Ibuki was here. His chakra capacity was much higher than his figure would lead one to believe, encroaching on Kage chakra capacity.

Yawning again, as he hadnt slept in the past 3 days, a curse to his unusual body chemistry, Ibuki tossed Renjiro a small water pack so he could drink and continued to move to the forest. It definetely wouldnt be long before anyone noticed them, even thirty minutes away or on the river someone with any chakra sensing ability would be able to tell if it was an animal or a ninja. They wouldnt expect Renjiro though, Ibukis capacity dwarfed him so much it would be like there was a tiny animal following him. It would be a good surprise, provided the allies didnt try to attack them. Ibuki wasnt a fan of fighting, and 3 paranoid Genin protecting, supposedly, their teammate who was out of commission.. Ibuki sighed and shook his head. That wouldnt be fun at all, given he would need to waste chakra defending himself since all three of the Genin would need to fight him at once if they wanted a chance to win, if that. They might even need Renjiro to make their chances higher, even if it was minimally.

Finally the duo reached the tree line and walked in on the path that was there for people who wanted to come and see the ocean. It was a marvelous site, Ibuki would agree, at sunset, and without the giant half destroyed ship just kind of chilling in the middle of the view. Ibuki sighed and motioned at Renji. It looked like that was the first ship, and if Ibuki saw it right, there was the second ship closing in and would be there within a few hours. Ibuki grinned madly and flared his chakra quickly to alert the Genin on the ship. It was time to get cracking.

With the blazing sun still on them Ibuki threw Renjiro a bottle of water allowing him to clench his thirst whilst still walking on towards the target. Renjiro face changed to that of a relaxed appearance when Ibuki pointed out the tree line. 'Thank-God for that ... I'm back in my natural element' Renjiro would think whilst the pair would continue walking towards the trees and then towards the sea.

The pair arrived at the beach where they estimated their mission would begin at sunset, and what a beautiful one at that. The only exception to that was the huge ship in their view into the sea. This was the pairs assurance that they were in the right area to find the useless Kumogakure Genin team. "So this is where the fun begins ... " as Renjiro was halfway through his sentence Ibuki flared up his chakra for some reason ... a warning to the genin ... to let the genin team know where we were or to get the enemy to come to us instead of the other way round. Either way Renjiro didn't care ... this mission would allow him to stop being classed as a kid and hopefully will grant him one of his goals ... a Sunagakure bingo book kill.

"Time to get serious then Ibuki-sama ..." With those words Renjiro ran into the water and towards the damaged ship in the water. It would give him a base of wood to allow for an easy attack on the oncoming ship that wasn't that far away.

A being, no two beings, one had a large chakra source that was starting to come at a fast past to them, and one other signature coming right behind them. Something was going on. was it an ambush. He try to sense around them. No, no other senses were going off from around them. It was just the two. Could it have been reinforcements instead? He had to go check it out. Just them a beam of chakra raised in the air as Kyo looked in awe. Now he had to go check it out. the beings had to know about Kyo and his team or else the being would not send off chakra so recklessly. He looked around and saw the monkey taking its rest on the ships floor. He started to speak.

"Hey, you, do you feel that. Something is coming this way. I think me and you should check this out. i Don't want to bother kinu and Aizen but if I go alone ill be breaking my own rules. They sent out a beam of chakra not too long ago. We should go investigate. If they start to attack us then we can inform the other two and ask for their backup. "

He started to get two of his kunai ready. he then started to look at the monkey and hopped he would follow him. He started to get on the edge of the ship as he started to jump off. he then focused his chakra on hiss legs and stood on top of the water. Now he would start to dash off and start to head towards the area of chakra. He hopped that the monkey would follow because if he did not he would have to stop and get the others for reinforcements. But it had to be Suna, i mean Suna did know of the situation and judging by the time they spent already it could be possible they already deployed a team. And the chakra signature, they know that we are here and wanted them to be spotted. He just wants to make sure, if the ones doing this had the headband of his brother, the headband of Suna. If not then he had to make sure he could escape before being detected....

The chakra output by Ibuki blocked all and any chakra sensing skills Renjiro had. As the Kumo ninja approached ,Renjiro was unaware of this, he waited by Ibuki's side waiting for what was going to unfold. Renjiro was quite on guard regardless of his now non-existent chakra sensing skills due to Ibuki letting both parties know where we were. He also knew that he would be their primary target to be killing first due to being the weakest of the pair.

However to counter this, Renjiro had both his hands behind his back both with a kunai in them. Renjiro was prepared for the worse and was prepared to die to improve the rubbish situation between Kumogaure and Sunagakure. On the other hand Renjiro was one of the last of his clan and as such he needed to stay alive and pass on his Senju Kekkei Genkai DNA to his own kids when he got around to it. It wasn't easy being a Senju in the driest place in the shinobi world and needing water to produce his jutsus but helped him master his wood manipulation jutsus quicker and more efficiently. However now due to being in an abundance of water, pulling off multiple wood jutsus wouldn't be as much of a problem than if they were directly in Sunagakure.

As Kyo was now in the general area of the chakra blast, he was determined to find out what that was. As he landed in the land with Kinu by his side he started to look around. He then started to continue on his walk with a kunai by his side. He walked slowly trying to get used to his surroundings. It was not open as the water but it was back to his normal area of choice. As he walked he started to whisper. “Alright. Refrain from combat if you can. If we must go out on an enemy its only limited to binding it down. For now it could be friend or foe. I have sent for Reinforcement from suna. So if you see a suna headband, we have to explain ourselves before they think we are an enemy. I believe they know not to attack a Kumo shinobi. Just in case we will have to explain to them our situation first. If it not a suna headband then we trap the person and question them later. For now we have to try to lure them to us. Lets see. Kinu can you transform into another animal again? I am going to need your help. If I send a signal to them and if it is an enemy I need you to give them a surprise attack. We don’t have much choice; I hope you are alright with that. “As he took a breath as he started to snap his fingers as his arms and legs were engulfed in fire. He then started to raise one hand in the air as the flame reached the sky and exploded itself showing off what looked like a homemade firework. If Suna gave them a signal then he was to give one back, hopefully it was a ally, they needed one soon to complete this mission. The boats in question are getting nearer and nearer to the hidden moon with each second. For now they have no choice but to wait for their response.
