Unfortunately, tragedy builds character. Although the series is coming to an end, Kishi probably wanted to give them that much. Same with Neji's death - it was all vital to fueling their inner flames I suppose.

Anyways, I liked this chapter. I know this is random and relatively unrelated, but when Minato showed up I couldn't help but think of that baby in that E-trade commercial. "...DAD!?"

I've said it before and I'll say it again; I'll believe they're dead when Obito and Madara are dead. Because until then, with the way the series has been running, odds are one of them is gonna undergo an abrupt change of heart and use their hax eyes- I mean, Rinnegan, to bring all the people they killed back to life.

What if things go about as everyone expects - Naruto and pals save the world, find peace, etc. But in all actuality, that itself is an illusion brought about by said hax eyes, and in reality they completely and utterly failed. Better yet... what if they already failed!? ;o
