| I have a question regarding the nature of Fuuinjutsu on this site. Unfortunately my usual contact is unavailable at this moment and I'm too impatient to wait, so I'll have to ask the forum/whatever mods are online. Anyway, my question is: Am I allowed to create custom seals that produce tangible effects? Such as a seal that produces a fireball or a seal that expels a gust of wind upon activation. Naturally, this would all cost chakra to activate, much like any other seal and exactly like Ninjutsu. The basis for this idea revolves around the default "explosive note" which essentially does the same thing as my two previous examples, except in the form of an explosion instead of fireballs or blasts of wind. I only ask this question because some sites accuse this of being "gamey" since it mimics Ninjutsu to an extent. Before everyone rushes to claim it's gamey, I'd like to note that evidently Weaponry techniques can produce tangible effects akin to Ninjutsu without the latter specialty as a prerequisite. Unless I've been misinformed. Am I right to assume the same applies for Fuuinjutsu? If not, I'd love to debate the specifics as to why.
Oh and one other question, are re-usable seals allowed? By this I mean, a seal that does not get destroyed from a single use. Each subsequent use still costs chakra mind you, but it'd be tedious to have to rewrite certain giant seals, and in some scenarios it wouldn't make much sense. For example: I etch a seal into the side of a stone slab and activate the seal. It doesn't destroy the stone slab in the process of activating, so the engraving still remains. It comes to reason that I'd be able to reuse that seal again for the same chakra fee, but I struggle to find any specific rules about Fuuinjutsu on this site so I'd rather ask now than redo my character later. |

| I didnt read most of this. But from what I did read, this is my answer. Yes. You can create seals that do things such as create fireballs, or what have you. Of course, fuuinjutsu's ability to copy ninjutsu is limited, seeing as it can mostly only accomplish these more basic, brute like attacks. As far as re usable seals, of course. Of course, seals like that might be classed in higher ranking fuuinjutsu, simply because of their use and handy nature, but it could be done. Arguably, it's been done in the anime/manga numerous times. So yes.
Anything else? |

| Hell, I outright created two separate fuin for gusts of wind and explosions of fire. Seals being reusable, I'd say it depends on the medium. Seals engraved in metal or stone could be reused, provided the means engraving them was mildly chakra intensive. Ink seals would naturally be one use. |
