SHIRASU, SEISHIN.THE I D E N T I T Y.
§ Name: Shirasu, Seishin § Nickname: N/A § Age: 19 § Gender: Male § Appearance:
Measuring slightly taller than the average man, Seishin has grown to stand at six feet two inches. The young man can therefore gaze over crowds with ease in order to keep an accurate account of his surroundings, should the need arise. While he may be taller than average, the chuunin's girth is smaller than average giving him a lanky appearance that deceives those who doubt his durability. And while he may only have lean muscle, the compact nature of his strength allows him to retain an agile quality in his movements, which when combined with his long gait produce a body type that maximizes the human figure's potential for fast movement and reflexive action. It should be noted that Seishin's wingspan of seventy-nine inches is slightly unproportional in comparison to his height. His longer reach isn't noticeable however, unless one is attentive to detail and has knowledge of anatomical structures.
The youth's length is balanced out by rather delicate facial features. Thin lips, a small nose, and sharp azure-colored eyes that can vary in expression are proportionally spaced. Wavy, ivory-colored hair occasionally cover his eyes depending on whether or not Seishin's bangs are held by a hairband. The length of said hair is longer in the back and reach the bottom of his neck before the strands are gathered to gather into a small ponytail. The remainder of his hair is short in comparison, with his uneven bangs never extending further than just past his eyes. The sides are slightly longer than the bangs, though not thick enough to hide the youth's ears. These features are, like Seishin's slenderness, deceiving to the eye as they betray the idea of a rugged chunnin who has accumulated adequate experience in the field. The dainty features, while perhaps lacking in masculinity, can be found attractive by those who are drawn towards such characteristics. To others however, Seishin's face may appear androgynous although his body is most certainly male, as shown by his broad shoulders and thin hips.
In terms describing complexion, the young man possesses a pale skin tone that would likely burn if he were exposed to the sun for a considerable amount of time. Residing in Kirigakure no Sato makes such a scenario quite rare, however, which allows the chuunin to wear clothing that expose his arms. His main attire when on-duty consists of a sleeveless turtleneck shirt with a stylized yukata collar that is primarily black in color. The collar is padded and has pigments of grey, green, and blue designed in a camouflage pattern. The shirt is slim-ft in design, which allows Seishin to retain body heat and move flexibly without interruption or distraction from the fabric. Two belts are wrapped around his waist and are visible over his top layer. One of these belts is actually his hitai-ate, while the other is a traditional shinobi belt built to attach pouches and other equipment to. Standard black worker pants are worn as Seishin's lower layer. These pants typically have more fabric around the thigh and are tighter around the calf area. They're simple in nature, but durable and allow for a wide range of motion without resistance.
When Seishin is not on duty, he'll usually wear a kimono over his shinobi-wear. As the chuunin's wardrobe consists of different shades of multiple colors, the kimono varies from time to time in appearance. Likewise, the youth has many different articles of casual clothing ranging from turtlenecks to high-collared shirts and jackets. The shinobi-wear however, is consistently dark in variation with the lightest shade being a neutral grey, the reason being that Seishin is partial to having some similarity to the standard Kirigakure uniform (other than the flak jacket, which he wears for only the most formal of professional situations). Finally, navy blue or black footwear is Seishin's preferred choice in all instances.
§ Forehead Protector: Around waist, functioning as a belt. § Personality:
Nature (predisposition): Personality Type — ENTJ Nurture (environmental): Is it possible to truly comprehend Shirasu, Seishin? Perhaps, but the chuunin won't make it an effortless endeavor, whether he does so consciously or not. A strange young man who possess an enigmatic smile, his aura can be unimposing and docile or apparent and threatening given the situation. As such, the teen is very much in control of himself—a sign of maturity that has its basis in dedicated training and hardship. While that dedication may be a fairly common trait among colleagues, the chuunin does not adhere to the common formula of the shinobi in that he is not the typical rank-and-file soldier. A free thinker and a free spirit, Seishin's philosophy regarding political and social values are not those of an ignorant eighteen year old. He believes that in order to risk his life without a tinge of uncertainty, he must have a firm understanding of what he's fighting for and his place in the world. This mentality originates from Seishin's family history, a history in which both his father and brother—shinobi in their own right—were taken from him. In order to accept that reality, Seishin had to understand what they fought for and why he himself fights, because that's ultimately all that shinobi are good for.
To elaborate on Seishin's political views, the young man is rather independent, preferring not to associate with any one faction for fear of missing out on all the facts. Furthermore, the teen is keen on persevering; surviving, and in order to do so it's necessary to accumulate vast knowledge or comprehension of a given situation. In application, this translates into an observer's point-of-view. In other words, Seishin is content with simply abiding by and watching how the village hierarchy functions. With a proper understanding of this, it's possible to see how the village is evolving, for better or worse. In this sense, the chuunin has the potential to constantly serve his village by trying to see how it can be improved. For instance, with an abundant amount of shinobi in the world, it's necessary to keep such a force under control. Therefore, the concept of leader—in this case the Mizukage—is one that the teen supports. However, when such a leader proves to be ineffective or incompetent, a change is necessary in order to improve the state of the village.
In regards to social values, Seishin has been deeply impacted by swordsmanship, and some of the principles associated. Loyalty—whether it be to friends, family, or country—is important. Looking out for and protecting the aforementioned is not an optional task. Protecting the truth is another, although perhaps not in the most literal sense. Lying itself isn't discouraged, rather protecting the truth means to adhere to what's true—sticking to facts, because in a world where espionage is rampant, it's pivotal to retain accurate records. Additionally, the precocious teen holds a nihilistic perspective. Life is indeed pointless, that must be understood. Therefore, reality should be accepted for what it is. Enjoy the good endure the bad. Be unconditionally just without expecting reward. Everyone eventually passes on, so why not act positively in order to make the collective experience better? This perspective formed after losing both his father and his brother. Seishin discarded much of his optimism, but not his ability to do good work for his village and those he cares about.
While all this may seem too advanced for a meager eighteen year old, his precociousness in political and social matters are a result of spending his teen years as a shinobi. Ages 13-25 are a period of great change within the male form, both physically and mentally. The stresses produced by the shinobi lifestyle only exacerbate that development, although only the strong seem to survive in the end. Fortunately, Seishin has inherited a strong desire to live. He has people to protect, aspirations to fulfill and a village to serve with his unique ideology.
However, all of the aforementioned is buried deep within him and is rarely expressed, as there's never an opportunity to. The teen doesn't have many friends since he passed through the academy rather quickly and colleagues usually aren't suitable for heart-to-heart conversations. Therefore, Seishin's core personality is masked by a superficial set of thoughts and actions. With a desire to make connections with people, Seishin breaks rules like personal space and courtesy towards strangers. This is where the teen's insecurities arise and his control wanes. Anything that'll make the chuunin a memorable figure to those he encounters while off-duty will do, whether it be teasing, poking, provoking, upsetting, pleasing, helping, supporting or talking, Seishin will deliver with an array of expressions and body motions. This is where most people tend to misunderstand the teen. If Seishin were to admit his feelings forthright perhaps the connections would form for him in a meaningful way. Yet the chuunin is desperate to the point where he'll try to expedite that development using unnatural methods, which may only produce an effect opposite of what was intended.
Nonsensical on a superficial level and far more mature than he leads others to believe, Seishin adopts a completely different persona than what has been discussed so far while on-duty. Donning a fox mask for autonomy, the teen assimilates himself into obscurity. Stoic, methodical and driven towards the best possible outcome, Seishin is far more serious when executing his assignments believin that emotions hold no value to a shinobi while on-duty. Outside of a battle scenario however, there is nothing wrong with expressing a wide variety of feelings. In spite of that, hidden underneath that professionalism and casual expressiveness is a lonely young man, a loner type who has only his mother left to care for. Even further still is a teen that, despite his insecurities with establishing meaningful relationships, is mature and confident with himself and his beliefs; precocious and always seeking a greater understanding. Overall, Seishin firmly believes that emotions hold no value to a shinobi while on-duty, but in most other situations he should be free to act as he pleases. That freedom keeps him sane and allows him to focus on his assignments when the time comes once more to assume the anonymous persona of a shinobi.
§ Clan: Kouketsu § Nindō: "Everyone has a burden, what counts is how you carry it."
THE N I N J A.
§ Origin: Mizu no Kuni § Affiliation: Kirigakure no Sato § Rank: Chuunin § Specialties:
a) Ninjutsu b) Bukijutsu [Main: Close | Sub: Mid.]
§ Elemental Affinities:
Fuuton Suiton
§ Combat Style:
A capable fighter in both traditional ninjutsu as well as bukijutsu, Seishin is able to fight at almost any distance with some level of proficiency. The chuunin’s ability to manipulate the fuuton and suiton elements allows him great versatility in battle, as he can strike with concussive, piercing, or cutting force. Furthermore, the youth doesn’t limit himself to any one of the aforementioned methods of attack nor does he limit himself to using one element over the other. Having said that, suiton techniques are employed as a distraction tactic more often than fuuton techniques while fuuton techniques are used primarily for offensive purposes. This is due to the inherent nature of the elements, characteristics which Seishin can do nothing about. Fortunately, both fuuton and suition can be used defensively to an effective degree, so the chuunin is always able to form some type of elemental protection should the need arise.
Versatility with chakra nature aside, Seishin may be most dangerous in close-combat situations given his aptitude for bukijutsu, more specifically kenjutsu. The chuunin’s skillfulness with swordplay make it his preferred method of striking when the chance presents itself, and the youth will typically attempt to manipulate the battle so that the distance between himself and his opponent(s) is within the range of a weaponry assault. Combined with the fuuton chakra nature, Seishin has the potential to produce an array of elemental-infused attacks as well as traditional ones.
The chuunin’s mentality during battle is oriented towards survival. Seishin is cautious and doesn’t like to rush into a confrontation blindly. Although he isn’t the most seasoned shinobi, the youth does use his prior battles as a reference point when observing his foe. When there is too little information to properly understand the tendencies of the opposition, Seishin will attempt to lure out the capabilities in an attempt to better gauge his own approach. This reconnaissance will be abandoned in favor of hit-and-run tactics if the battle becomes too prolonged however. Seishin’s hit-and-run tactics are usually comprised of either clones or techniques of the suiton nature, while his actual strikes are more often than not either bukijutsu or techniques of the fuuton nature. He likes to strike as fast as possible, or as quietly as possible.
If outnumbered, Seishin will try to flee unless there are exceptional circumstances. In such cases, most of his actions will be oriented towards disorienting his opponents and giving himself both the time and distance to escape. When among allies, Seishin’s methods do not change much from what has previously been said. There may however, be a greater degree of coordination in his techniques although teamwork isn’t a strong point of his. Therefore, his attempts at coordinating strikes may be hit or miss.
Seishin is most limited at long-range since the distance makes it difficult if not impossible for him to use bukijutsu. Additionally, the youth doesn't have a great understanding of genjutsu outside of what his clan's scriptures and the academy have taught him. As such, the chuunin would not win an illusionary battle since he doesn't have the incredible chakra control that is found in most illusionists and medics, nor can he comprehend illusions on the same level as those who can produce them. While his kekkei genkai does mitigate this weakness to an extent, it is a weakness nonetheless.

THE C H R O N I C L E S.
§ History:
- Spoiler:
The proper way to tell Seishin's tale is to begin before he entered the world. A year before Seishin came into existence Shirasu, Izumi and Nagasada, Umeko were the parents of Shirasu, Shinya, a three year old who was just beginning to form coherent sentences. Late develop perhaps, but Shinya's aptitude wasn't in speech, rather he was a talented artist whose brilliance was apparent the moment he first splashed ink on paper. This child had nothing exceptional about him, brown hair, brown eyes, average coordination at best, but Izumi and Umeko were good-natured people who loved to show affection and were extremely devoted to their passions. These strong feelings only strengthened Shinya's art and started him on a path that would be simultaneously fulfilling and destructive.
Umeko was a florist; flowers were her passion. She had a vast, almost encyclopedic knowledge of flowering plants and was capable of differentiating between different species at a glance. She could also easily identify which smelled the fruitiest or which would make the best perfume. At times, Umeko would even be called upon by medical-nin who sought her advice on poisonous blossoms. She would never cooperate though, for Umeko was a stubborn woman who valued the integrity of her profession; she would not let the natural essence of the flowers she so deeply cared for be manipulated, especially for the sake of taking someone's life. Umeko wasn't a shinobi and didn't carry the same frame of mind that the medical-nin did. Perhaps in Konohagakure no Sato the matter would have been left at that. However, as a civilian living in the village dubbed "Bloody Mist" at one point in time, Umeko's opinion on the matter was deemed expendable so long as the information she documented could be secured. Despite her data ultimately being taken from her, Umeko was content with knowing that she stuck to her principles. That's just the type of person she was.
Izumi was a shinobi and dedicated one at that. Frequently the man would be absent from his children's lives due to missions, training or other assignments within the village. However, when he was around Izumi certainly made up for lost time. Regardless of worries or injuries, Izumi found time to make sure his children were loved, especially Shinya, who at age three often found himself without a father for weeks on end, mainly because Izumi was undertaking exceedingly dangerous missions with a fierce ambition to reach the jounin rank. The man's dedication towards obtaining a stellar recommendation for promotion could almost be considered an obsession. Still, he kept himself in check and balanced his life to the best of his abilities. For while Izumi had the capacity to kill, and an arsenal of techniques and equipment with which to do so, he was a considerate man. One week he would be in the field, miles away from his family. The next week Izumi would be buying paints with his three-year-old child, watching him work, then providing comical poses to draw. As man of both cold-blooded action and compassion, Some might call him a contradiction. Yet that's just the type of person he was.
When Seishin was born, there was an immediate change in the family dynamic. Both Umeko and Izumi were puzzled with their newborn, whereas they had been ecstatic when Shinya had been delivered. This was because Seishin was born with features that belonged to neither Umeko nor Izumi. The infant possessed wavy, ivory hair and electric-blue eyes. Had the family been situated in a different land where the weather was warmer and the sky clearer they may have also noticed, over time, that Seishin was considerably paler than anyone else. While the couple eventually got use to the idea of their second child looking nothing like them, there was always a degree of uneasiness. Perhaps if either Umeko or Izumi had known about the lineage of the Kouketsu clan, they wouldn't have subconsciously tiptoed around their youngest son. Alas, ignorance bred misunderstandings and Seishin never benefited from the same type of affection that Shinya received.
Growing up, it didn't take much time for Seishin to realize that he was different—at least physically—from the rest of his family. It also wasn't long before Seishin understood that his parents interacted with him in a different manner than they did with Shinya. The contrast in attitude was apparent and one might have expected Seishin to build resentment towards his family. However, Shinya saved his younger sibling from such a fate, for he was the most accepting of Seishin; he adored his ivory-haired brother, mainly because of his unique features. It was those same features that inspired Shinya to treated Seishin as an art specimen at times, observing his sibling with a critical eye and artistic sensibility. It was Seishin who six years later, when Shinya was ten, prompted his older brother to dye his hair grey so they looked more alike.
While Seishin's relationship with his brother was strong, there came a time where he rarely saw his sibling. At the age of eleven, Shinya enrolled to become a shinobi in his father's footsteps. The thought which prompted the decision was their father's speculation that Shinya may have an affinity for the sumi (ink) release. Being able to transform his artwork via chakra was a concept that greatly intrigued Izumi's eldest son and the two bonded over shared experiences of the academy.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old Seishin was left to assist his mother with floral arrangements and the like. While the profession never interested Umeko's youngest son, she did notice Seishin perk up whenever she shared her own thoughts regarding her passion, rather than the dull technical knowledge. Seishin's receptiveness to his mother was due to a quality that they both shared—a strong will; innately, the youngest son responded to his mother's passion and strong feelings. The initial wariness that Umeko held towards Seishin dwindled as the pair spent more time together.
Just as Shinya's relationship with his father intensified, so to did Seishin's relationship with his mother and time passed this way faster than anyone anticipated. Now it was Seishin who was eleven, his brother at age fifteen had advanced to the chuunin rank while their father attained the distinction of 'special jounin'. While Seishin's relationship with his mother had certainly improved, he still retained a solid connection with his older sibling. Shinobi experience had changed Shinya, and when he and their father returned home the elder brother would frequently recite the mantra of Kirigakure, spreading his growing nationalistic point of view to Seishin, who absorbed much of what his brother said. It was after listening to several of his brother's speeches that Seishin decided he too would become a shinobi like Shinya and Izumi before him.
Exposure to shinobi education profoundly affected the eleven year old, who discovered his passion in the nuances of the profession. Seishin was astounded by the versatility of ninjutsu, the mental aspect of genjutsu and the physical tenacity required for taijutsu. However, weaponry was what intrigued the preteen beyond the other specialties. There was a spirituality to wielding a blade that Seishin couldn't adequately describe at the time. Needless to say, the preteen made swordsmanship a focus of his during his time at the academy, and he was elated to have found something he cared so much for at such an early point in life.
Seishin graduated from the academy in only a year, whereas Shinya had taken two to complete his basic education. Their brotherly love had developed into a rivalry soon after, though similarities still remained, such as a shared fondness of their village and family. Regrettably, shinobi do not have long lifespans, and this is especially the case for those who tirelessly take on missions without much consideration. This was the case with Izumi, who died a few years after Seishin had graduated from the academy. Shinya, now eighteen, was distraught over the loss and Seishin was upset in response. The youngest of the family never established a relation with his father to the same extent that Shinya had. So while he felt saddened by his death, Seishin felt even worse for his brother.
Seishin was promoted to chuunin six months after his father's death in the field. In that short amount of time, his older brother became a degenerate blaming the village he swore to protect for the death of Izumi. This made Shinya a liability from Kirigakure's perspective. Seishin recognized this and while he could relate to his older brother's mourning, he couldn't empathize with the desire to get even with their village. Perhaps it was the mental teachings of swordsmanship that gave Seishin a calm mind, either way Shinya's resentment grew to the point where the village was forced to act. One day, he was taken into custody by the ANBU and never heard from again.
At age fifteen one might expect Seishin to lash out in a manner similar to his brother. However, their personalities had grown separately during their time apart. Different learning experiences, different proficiencies, different missions and assignments all lend Seishin to develop a perspective that he did not share with Shinya, despite their close bond. The death of his father and the disappearance of his brother did not deter the youngest male in the family. Seishin's commitment towards Kirigakure remained intact, his passion too deeply rooted in the village's history, for when investigating new kenjutsu techniques, the chuunin inadvertently discovered documents that shook him to his core and reaffirmed his devotion; Seishin discovered his clan heritage.
He had found the scroll mixed among old, outdated records of battles from the war between Namigakure and Kirigakure. In search for old forgotten techniques, Seishin instead found the history of the Kouketsu clan and connected his physical features to those mentioned in the worn text. It seemed it was in his blood to protect and fight for Kirigakure, though Seishin's motivations would be different than his ancestors. Naturally, this information was shared with his mother, who he had grown even closer to as the only remaining male in the family. With this new information, the chuunin experimented with his newfound bloodline and within two years, became proficient with it.
Now, Seishin has reached a point in his life where a degree of normalcy has developed once more. The tumultuous times spent dealing with his sorrowful brother have passed and the excitement of discovering his bloodline has faded. To pass the time when off-duty, Seishin tries to provoke those around him, feeling as if he needs to make every day, every confrontation eventful or else he'll die without living a fulfilling life, and that's a thought which scares him. § Roleplay Sample: Click

THE A R S E N A L. Jutsu
- Fuuton:
Name: Koujin - Dust in Air Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m), Far (10m+) Element: Fuuton (Wind) Description: After performing a set of hand signs, the user will gather fuuton chakra into their arm or a weapon. When swung, a current of wind strikes the earth, kicking up dust and debris which travels in a forward direction before dispersing into a wider area. The dust can potentially hinder the vision of those caught in the technique during their next post. Additionally, the current of wind is strong enough to deflect small projectiles (senbon, shuriken, kunai). Chakra Cost: 7
Name: Daitoppa - Great Breakthrough Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Fuuton (Wind) Description: This is a relatively simple technique that creates a sudden gust of wind, but its scale varies greatly depending on the user. If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame. Chakra Cost: 9
Name: Shinkūgyoku - Vacuum Sphere Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m), Far (10+) Element: Fuuton (Wind) Description: The user takes a deep breath and then exhales several small blasts of wind chakra in such a manner that they are dispersed over an expansive range, enough to make it difficult to avoid them entirely without taking any damage. Due to the properties of this technique, the expelled blasts are capable of causing powerful blunt damage, enough to leave bruises or even break skin if struck multiple times. Chakra Cost: 15
Name: Makaze - Evil Wind Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m-5m), Mid (5m-10m) Element: Fuuton (Wind) Description: After preforming the required hand signs, the user will exhale a whirling gust of wind that is concentrated into the radius of 1 meter. In this concentrated state, the vortex is powerful enough to puncture through stone. The wind moves linearly and at a quick pace before evaporating after 10 meters. If the user has a fuuton-inducing weapon, they may execute this technique via their weapon rather than using traditional hand signs. Chakra Cost: 13
Name: Kaiten Shuriken - Rotating Shuriken Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Fuuton (Wind) Description: The user will send his or her bladed weapons through the air as spinning disks. He or she can then launch these disks at his or her target like shuriken. Because he or she manipulates each individually, he or she can attack his or her target from multiple directions. Up to 5 weapons, no larger than a foot in length may be manipulated by this technique at one time. Chakra Cost: 14 (2 per post +1 for every 2 additional weapons)
- Suiton:
Name: Kirigakure no Jutsu - Hidden Mist Technique Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0 - 5m), Med (5 - 10m) Element: - Village: Kirigakure Description: This jutsu is developed and trained within Kirigakure as a village specific jutsu. After forming the needed hand seal, the user will place their hand over their head and cause a large amount of mist to gather. This mist is extremely difficult to see through from someone not of Kirigakure, who are used to looking through heavy mists, and are more able to do combat while within said mist. The jutsu involves kneading chakra into the mist, allowing the user to create extremely thick or thin levels of mist. Those with doujutsu or chakra sensing techniques are also able to see through this thick mist but without any aid, then you'll be blind within the mist. A C-Rank Fuuton Jutsu can dispel the mists. Chakra Cost: 4 (2CP)
Name: Ninpou; Kiri Bunshin - Mist Clone Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Element: Suiton Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m~10m), Far (10m+) Village: Kirigakure Description: This jutsu is developed and trained within Kirigakure as a village specific jutsu. A variant of the water clone jutsu, the user will complete the needed hand seals in order to create up to five mist clones. These clones are, although technically solid, unable to attack or defend, or use jutsu. Should the clone come into contact with someone's attack, or try and attack themselves, they will simply disrupt into mist and then gradually reform. Any weapon attacks thrown by the mist clones will, although appearing real, only disperse into mist upon contact with their target; posing no physical threat. However, because they constantly reform, they are near impossible to get rid of, and offer a constant confusion factor. Chakra Cost: 4 (1 per post)
Name: Daibakuryuu no Jutsu - Great Exploding Current Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: In order to use this technique, the user must first be on top of water (lake, sea, etc). Then, after preforming the needed hand seals a vortex of water will form, sucking anything on the surface above it down to the depths below. This can possibly drown the opponent. Chakra Cost: 6 (1 per post)
Name: Kokuun no Jutsu - Black Clouds Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: This jutsu creates a flammable black mist that forms a small cloud. The user can then move the cloud above their target and disperse it, covering the target in flammable oil. Chakra Cost: 5
Name: Mizuame Nabara - Starch Syrup Capture Field Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m), Far (10+) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: Suiton • Mizuame Nabara is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After forming the needed handseals, the user will expel a sticky liquid from his/her gullet. This liquid can cover approximately 20 square meters. If the target runs on top of the liquid, their feet will become glued to its sticky surface. If the ninja focuses chakra to their feet before touching the surface, they can hover above and move over it without hindrance. This allows the user or a comrade to charge and attack without fear of becoming bogged down as well. Chakra Cost: 7
Name: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu - Water Clone Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Suiton (Water) Description: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target, but none utilizing chakra. The range of the clone is limited however, it can not travel further than 10 meters from the original body. If the Mizu Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural water state. Chakra Cost: 7
Name: Suirou no Jutsu - Water Prison Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Suiton (Water) Description: Suirou no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to imprison an opponent. The ninja forms the necessary hand seals which causes the water to form around the target into a spherical prison which only allows for limited movement. The ninja must keep their body touching the water prison to maintain its existence. If the contact is broken, the water falls away and their target is released. When combined with a solid bunshin technique, the ninja can imprison their target but still allow for a clone to attack others nearby. Chakra Cost: 9 (2 per post)

This jutsu is taught to the sword wielding shinobi of the mist. This can only be used in conjunction with a katana, or a sword that has similar qualities and size to a katana. This allows the user to draw their sword, turning it into a fierce, fast, and deadly slash, and then skillfully placing the katana back into the scabbard. The slash is known to be extremely fast, moving at three times the speed of a normal slash. What is more, this is highly effective against shinobi, seeing as it can be, and often is used, to stop a ninja's hand seals before completion, due to its speed. Chakra Cost: 10
- Non-Elemental:

In addition, if activated in response to an opponent's attack, it can also be used as a counter. The hair is made hard enough that it can withstand blows from certain types of weapons such as arrows. Chakra Cost: 13
Name: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu - Shadow Clone Technique Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original. Because the chakra of each clone is evenly distributed, the user and each clone will contain the same amount of chakra after deducting the initial chakra cost. All remaining chakra on the clone after it is dispersed is refunded to the user. Clones automatically disperse if their chakra supply hits zero, but are not influenced by the 10 chakra minimum for survival. Chakra Cost: 15 (Per clone)
- Academy:
Name: Bunshin no Jutsu • Clone Technique Rank: E Type: Genjutsu Range: N/A Medium: Optical Element: N/A Description: This technique creates identical clones of the user. However, they hold no actual substance and will disperse upon impact of an attack or contact with an opponent. They cannot disrupt the area around themselves with their movements; won’t kick up dust, crush grass, etc. They are simply optical illusions used to momentarily fool others. Chakra Cost: 1CP per 5 clones
Name: Henge no Jutsu • Transformation Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique transforms the user’s appearance to that of another object or person. However, it is not a permanent transformation and a mental image of what they are transformed into. Certain aspects of a ninja will not change merely by transformation, these things may include injuries, tool pocket placements etc. The jutsu will dispel should the user be injured. The user does not gain the properties of their transformation (ie. horse like strength), and may only transform into something ranging between 1/2 of their regular size, to 2x their regular size. Thus one cannot transform into large creatures. Chakra Cost: 1
Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu • Body Replacement Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10 meters Element: N/A Description: After performing a tiger seal, this technique allows the user to alter places in a speedy manner with another nearby object. This is done mere seconds before an attack lands, thus making the attacker believe his or her attack was a success. Whatever object was used to alter places will receive the brunt of the enemy’s attack instead. The object that the user switches with must be preset somewhere else in the thread, meaning that the object must have received specific mention previously in the thread. Chakra Cost: 2
Name: Explosive Tag: Activate Rank: E Type: Fuuinjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to activate an explosive tag they have planted somewhere. Preferably they should be within close to mid range and visible to the user. You cannot activate another persons explosive tags unless your chakra has been channeled into them beforehand. Chakra Cost: 1 (per 3 explosive notes)
Name: Kai • Release Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: By stopping the flow of chakra in their body, and then applying an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra; the user may dispel the effects of a genjutsu. This can also be used on another individual that is stuck in a genjutsu by preforming the necessary hand seal and then touching them, although it consumes half the chakra cost of the Genjutsu. Chakra Cost: Cost of Genjutsu + 2CP
Name: Nawanuke no Jutsu • Escaping Skill Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to free themselves should they be tied up. It is extremely basic. Using their physical training, the user will twist and contort their body to loosen their bindings, effectively relieving themselves of the tightness of their bindings and slipping through the restraints. This technique can only be used if the user is of equal or higher rank than their captor. Chakra Cost: 1
Name: Chozou no Jutsu • Storage Technique Rank: E Type: Fuuinjutsu, Supplementary Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: A simple jutsu that allows a ninja to seal or unseal any item, mostly weapons, from scrolls or from their body. After forming the necessary handsigns, the ninja will seal the item into a scroll etc. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. The items themselves are unaffected by time. Ninjutsu can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened, but require another person to cast said Ninjutsu; else it cannot be sealed. Chakra Cost: 1 to seal; 1 to unseal.
Name: Suimen Hokou no Waza • Act of Water Surface Walking Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: NA Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on water by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet or hands. Because of water’s nature, this requires the user to be quick to adjust the amount of chakra they must emit to their feet in order to maintain a constant balance. Users may also walk, run and “skate” across the water when using this technique. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
Name: Kinobori no Waza • Act of Tree Climbing Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on trees and vertical walls by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet. Gravity can easy be defined if this technique is mastered, allowing people to even stand upside down. If too much chakra is exerted the user will be pushed away; bark breaking and causing the user to then fall. If not enough chakra is exerted the user will lose their footing and fall. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
- Kekkei Genkai:
Kiyomeru no Reikon [lit. to cleanse, purify, exorcise the soul]. The bloodline limit of the Kouketsu clan is one that has developed over many generations and is quite reflective of the name which it has been given. The kekkei genkai literally cleanses, or purifies the chakra circulatory system. Much like how white blood cells protect the body from disease and sickness, the Kiyomeru no Reikon protects the chakra circulatory system from foreign chakra entering the body. When foreign chakra is detected, the Kiyomeru no Reikon will act to expel the chakra from the body. As such, members of the Kouketsu clan who have inherited this trait have a natural resistance to genjutsu since the art of illusions require the application of chakra to breach the target mentally. This resistance isn't to be confused with immunity because just as it takes time to recover from an ailment, it takes time for the kekkei genkai to fight off the invasion of foreign chakra. The effectiveness in warding off foreign chakra depends on the exposure a Kouketsu has had to genjutsu. Clansmen who are aware of their bloodline may choose to train the kekkei genkai by intentionally exposing themselves to genjutsu, in which case they must experience two illusions of equal rank or higher before achieving the corresponding resistance. For example, a c-rank shinobi would need to have faced two c-ranked or higher genjutsu in order to obtain the benefits that Kiyomeru no Reikon offers at c-rank. The Kiyomeru no Reikon is active from the moment a clansmen is born. Like the immune system, the Kiyomeru no Reikon produces several symptoms whenever foreign chakra is in the body. These symptoms range in severity depending on the amount of foreign chakra and can be felt by a Kouketsu regardless of the type of illusion in effect: E-rank amount: No physical manifestation of symptoms because of the minuscule amount of chakra involved in performing an e-rank illusion. D-rank amount: The clansmen will perspire quicker and become dehydrated at an accelerated rate. C-rank amount: The clansmen will develop a headache along with the aforementioned perspiration and dehydration. B-rank amount: The clansmen will develop nausea along with fever, perspiration and dehydration. Equal ranked techniques utilizing chakra require an additional 3CP. A-rank amount: The clansmen will develop shortness of breath, nausea, fever, perspiration and dehydration. Techniques b-rank and higher require an additional 5CP. S-rank amount: The clansmen will develop, shortness of breath, nausea, fever, perspiration and dehydration. Techniques c-rank and higher require an additional 10CP. Techniques that require an upkeep of chakra cannot be used. Corresponding with the symptoms above, the Kiyomeru no Reikon produces the following responses depending on the amount of foreign chakra in the body: D-rank response: The clansmen only has to pay an equal amount of chakra in order to dispel a genjutsu as opposed to the cost of the genjutsu +2 when using "Kai". C-rank response: Dispelling the genjutsu requires only half the amount of chakra normally required (rounded up). Minimum will always be 2CP. B-rank response: Dispelling the genjutsu requires only half the amount of chakra normally required (rounded up). Minimum will always be 2. Kiyomeru no Reikon will fight the foreign chakra at a rate of 6CP per post. If the amount of CP it took to cast the illusion is less than the total amount of CP that the Kiyomeru no Reikon has expelled over a number of posts, the illusion is dispelled prematurely. A-rank response: Dispelling the genjutsu requires only half the amount of chakra normally required (rounded up). Minimum will always be 2. Kiyomeru no Reikon will fight the foreign chakra at a rate of 12CP per post. If the amount of CP it took to cast the illusion is less than the total amount of CP that the Kiyomeru no Reikon has expelled over a number of posts, the illusion is dispelled prematurely.
S-rank response: Dispelling the genjutsu requires only a third of the amount of chakra normally required (rounded up). Minimum will always be 2. Kiyomeru no Reikon will fight the foreign chakra at a rate of 18CP per post. If the amount of CP it took to cast the illusion is less than the total amount of CP that the Kiyomeru no Reikon has expelled over a number of posts, the illusion is dispelled prematurely. *Genjutsu will always take their full effect for at least one post unless dispelled via "Kai". If the expulsion of chakra is beyond the cost of casting the illusion within the first post, the illusion ends at the beginning of the next post rather than the clan member's next post. Otherwise, the illusion will cease at the end of the post in which the expulsion of chakra is equal to or exceeds the amount of chakra it took to cast.
Weaponry
- Generic:
Name: Tomahawk Rank: D Type: Medium Range - Hatchet Quantity: 2 Description: The tomahawk is a relatively small axe. Its blade is crafted out of lightweight stone. The tomahawk due to its size is able to be wielded with great ease and can be stored quickly. This weapon is versatile in the fact that can be fashioned as a ranged throwing weapon, or for quick close-quarter strikes.
- Mizuchi:
Name: Mizuchi (Water Serpent) Rank: B Type: Close (0m-5m) Appearance: The Mizuchi looks like a standard set of retractable wrist blades, there is little decoration although the metal does give off a faint blue tint. There is nothing extraordinary about the material used to make the blades, which extend up to twelve inches from the wielder's wrist. The non-lethal end of the blades are rooted in metal-plated forearm protectors. The forearm protectors along with the blades themselves are durable enough to deflect simple objects and blades of c-rank or below, but are mainly used for surprising an opponent as opposed to parrying. Larger weapons outside of the close-range category can overpower the blades, which are short, lighter, and perhaps thinner. Quantity: 2 Storage: Worn on his person. Fitted onto forearms/wrists. Special Abilities: The Mizuchi is a weapon that has an affinity for the suiton chakra nature. Its conductivity manifests itself in clear blue chakra that appears quite malleable. This attribute is the most dangerous as this suiton chakra extends the reach of each blade by an additional sixteen inches when striking. Sharing the characteristics of water, the outstretched, suiton embeded part of the blade hits with a concussive—rather than cutting—force and bends in a whip-like fashion when used. The force is strong enough to fracture bone and combined with its whip-like movement makes the Mizuchi a weapon that is better to dodge than guard against, as even a successful block may prove insufficient when the suiton chakra whips around after initial contact. It costs 10CP to activate the chakra conductive properties of the blades and 4CP for upkeep.
- Soyokaze:
Name: Soyokaze (Soft Wind) Rank: B Type: Close (0m-5m) Appearance: The Soyokaze blade takes the form of a simple wakizashi, the blade measuring eighteen inches long. Its tsuka (handle) is primarily black with the the tsukamaki (hilt-wrapping) having a dull teal color. The tsuba (guard) is rather plain and undecorative. Black in color, it leads into the blade which is nothing out of the ordinary, save for its chakra conductivity. The scabbard of the blade is made of finely polished black wood. A teal sageo is tied around it, which is then tied to the belt of the wielder. Overall, the Soyokaze is unimaginative in appearance. Quantity: 1 Storage: Tied and attached to belt. Positioned by the small of his back. Special Abilities: The ability of the Soyokaze is straightforward; it can generate a thin layer of highly concentrated fuuton chakra to coat the blade, allowing the wielder to use bukijutsu of the wind element. Additionally, when the chakra conductivity is activated the fuuton chakra adds extra length the blade giving it the size of a typical katana when active. Due to the nature of fuuton chakra, the blade produces an incredibly strong cutting ability when in this form and can easily slice through most objects or weapons (kunai, chakra strings, etc.) of lower rank while holding its own against those of a higher rank. The name 'soft wind' is given to the wakizashi because the fuuton chakra creates such a precise and clean cut that the blade may severe an opponent's limb without them realizing it, the sensation of pain void from the strike until they try to move their missing ligament. Activating the chakra conductivity requires 12CP and 3CP for upkeep.

| You have Dai Kamaitachi - Great Cutting Whirlwind, yet no fan to utilise the technique with.
Apart from that, this application looks perfect, well done! |
