Shirasu, Seishin [Kiri Chuunin] M2bIGkz

SHIRASU, SEISHIN.

THE I D E N T I T Y.

§ Name: Shirasu, Seishin
§ Nickname: N/A
§ Age: 19
§ Gender: Male
§ Appearance:

Measuring slightly taller than the average man, Seishin has grown to stand at six feet two inches. The young man can therefore gaze over crowds with ease in order to keep an accurate account of his surroundings, should the need arise. While he may be taller than average, the chuunin's girth is smaller than average giving him a lanky appearance that deceives those who doubt his durability. And while he may only have lean muscle, the compact nature of his strength allows him to retain an agile quality in his movements, which when combined with his long gait produce a body type that maximizes the human figure's potential for fast movement and reflexive action. It should be noted that Seishin's wingspan of seventy-nine inches is slightly unproportional in comparison to his height. His longer reach isn't noticeable however, unless one is attentive to detail and has knowledge of anatomical structures.

The youth's length is balanced out by rather delicate facial features. Thin lips, a small nose, and sharp azure-colored eyes that can vary in expression are proportionally spaced. Wavy, ivory-colored hair occasionally cover his eyes depending on whether or not Seishin's bangs are held by a hairband. The length of said hair is longer in the back and reach the bottom of his neck before the strands are gathered to gather into a small ponytail. The remainder of his hair is short in comparison, with his uneven bangs never extending further than just past his eyes. The sides are slightly longer than the bangs, though not thick enough to hide the youth's ears. These features are, like Seishin's slenderness, deceiving to the eye as they betray the idea of a rugged chunnin who has accumulated adequate experience in the field. The dainty features, while perhaps lacking in masculinity, can be found attractive by those who are drawn towards such characteristics. To others however, Seishin's face may appear androgynous although his body is most certainly male, as shown by his broad shoulders and thin hips.

In terms describing complexion, the young man possesses a pale skin tone that would likely burn if he were exposed to the sun for a considerable amount of time. Residing in Kirigakure no Sato makes such a scenario quite rare, however, which allows the chuunin to wear clothing that expose his arms. His main attire when on-duty consists of a sleeveless turtleneck shirt with a stylized yukata collar that is primarily black in color. The collar is padded and has pigments of grey, green, and blue designed in a camouflage pattern. The shirt is slim-ft in design, which allows Seishin to retain body heat and move flexibly without interruption or distraction from the fabric. Two belts are wrapped around his waist and are visible over his top layer. One of these belts is actually his hitai-ate, while the other is a traditional shinobi belt built to attach pouches and other equipment to. Standard black worker pants are worn as Seishin's lower layer. These pants typically have more fabric around the thigh and are tighter around the calf area. They're simple in nature, but durable and allow for a wide range of motion without resistance.

When Seishin is not on duty, he'll usually wear a kimono over his shinobi-wear. As the chuunin's wardrobe consists of different shades of multiple colors, the kimono varies from time to time in appearance. Likewise, the youth has many different articles of casual clothing ranging from turtlenecks to high-collared shirts and jackets. The shinobi-wear however, is consistently dark in variation with the lightest shade being a neutral grey, the reason being that Seishin is partial to having some similarity to the standard Kirigakure uniform (other than the flak jacket, which he wears for only the most formal of professional situations). Finally, navy blue or black footwear is Seishin's preferred choice in all instances.

§ Forehead Protector: Around waist, functioning as a belt.
§ Personality:

Nature (predisposition): Personality Type — ENTJ
Nurture (environmental): Is it possible to truly comprehend Shirasu, Seishin? Perhaps, but the chuunin won't make it an effortless endeavor, whether he does so consciously or not. A strange young man who possess an enigmatic smile, his aura can be unimposing and docile or apparent and threatening given the situation. As such, the teen is very much in control of himself—a sign of maturity that has its basis in dedicated training and hardship. While that dedication may be a fairly common trait among colleagues, the chuunin does not adhere to the common formula of the shinobi in that he is not the typical rank-and-file soldier. A free thinker and a free spirit, Seishin's philosophy regarding political and social values are not those of an ignorant eighteen year old. He believes that in order to risk his life without a tinge of uncertainty, he must have a firm understanding of what he's fighting for and his place in the world. This mentality originates from Seishin's family history, a history in which both his father and brother—shinobi in their own right—were taken from him. In order to accept that reality, Seishin had to understand what they fought for and why he himself fights, because that's ultimately all that shinobi are good for.

To elaborate on Seishin's political views, the young man is rather independent, preferring not to associate with any one faction for fear of missing out on all the facts. Furthermore, the teen is keen on persevering; surviving, and in order to do so it's necessary to accumulate vast knowledge or comprehension of a given situation. In application, this translates into an observer's point-of-view. In other words, Seishin is content with simply abiding by and watching how the village hierarchy functions. With a proper understanding of this, it's possible to see how the village is evolving, for better or worse. In this sense, the chuunin has the potential to constantly serve his village by trying to see how it can be improved. For instance, with an abundant amount of shinobi in the world, it's necessary to keep such a force under control. Therefore, the concept of leader—in this case the Mizukage—is one that the teen supports. However, when such a leader proves to be ineffective or incompetent, a change is necessary in order to improve the state of the village.

In regards to social values, Seishin has been deeply impacted by swordsmanship, and some of the principles associated. Loyalty—whether it be to friends, family, or country—is important. Looking out for and protecting the aforementioned is not an optional task. Protecting the truth is another, although perhaps not in the most literal sense. Lying itself isn't discouraged, rather protecting the truth means to adhere to what's true—sticking to facts, because in a world where espionage is rampant, it's pivotal to retain accurate records. Additionally, the precocious teen holds a nihilistic perspective. Life is indeed pointless, that must be understood. Therefore, reality should be accepted for what it is. Enjoy the good endure the bad. Be unconditionally just without expecting reward. Everyone eventually passes on, so why not act positively in order to make the collective experience better? This perspective formed after losing both his father and his brother. Seishin discarded much of his optimism, but not his ability to do good work for his village and those he cares about.

While all this may seem too advanced for a meager eighteen year old, his precociousness in political and social matters are a result of spending his teen years as a shinobi. Ages 13-25 are a period of great change within the male form, both physically and mentally. The stresses produced by the shinobi lifestyle only exacerbate that development, although only the strong seem to survive in the end. Fortunately, Seishin has inherited a strong desire to live. He has people to protect, aspirations to fulfill and a village to serve with his unique ideology.

However, all of the aforementioned is buried deep within him and is rarely expressed, as there's never an opportunity to. The teen doesn't have many friends since he passed through the academy rather quickly and colleagues usually aren't suitable for heart-to-heart conversations. Therefore, Seishin's core personality is masked by a superficial set of thoughts and actions. With a desire to make connections with people, Seishin breaks rules like personal space and courtesy towards strangers. This is where the teen's insecurities arise and his control wanes. Anything that'll make the chuunin a memorable figure to those he encounters while off-duty will do, whether it be teasing, poking, provoking, upsetting, pleasing, helping, supporting or talking, Seishin will deliver with an array of expressions and body motions. This is where most people tend to misunderstand the teen. If Seishin were to admit his feelings forthright perhaps the connections would form for him in a meaningful way. Yet the chuunin is desperate to the point where he'll try to expedite that development using unnatural methods, which may only produce an effect opposite of what was intended.

Nonsensical on a superficial level and far more mature than he leads others to believe, Seishin adopts a completely different persona than what has been discussed so far while on-duty. Donning a fox mask for autonomy, the teen assimilates himself into obscurity. Stoic, methodical and driven towards the best possible outcome, Seishin is far more serious when executing his assignments believin that emotions hold no value to a shinobi while on-duty. Outside of a battle scenario however, there is nothing wrong with expressing a wide variety of feelings. In spite of that, hidden underneath that professionalism and casual expressiveness is a lonely young man, a loner type who has only his mother left to care for. Even further still is a teen that, despite his insecurities with establishing meaningful relationships, is mature and confident with himself and his beliefs; precocious and always seeking a greater understanding. Overall, Seishin firmly believes that emotions hold no value to a shinobi while on-duty, but in most other situations he should be free to act as he pleases. That freedom keeps him sane and allows him to focus on his assignments when the time comes once more to assume the anonymous persona of a shinobi.

§ Origin: Mizu no Kuni
§ Affiliation: Kirigakure no Sato
§ Rank: Chuunin
§ Specialties:

    a) Ninjutsu
    b) Bukijutsu [Main: Close | Sub: Mid.]

§ Elemental Affinities:

Shirasu, Seishin [Kiri Chuunin] 4TqlECf Fuuton
Shirasu, Seishin [Kiri Chuunin] UpA65oF Suiton

§ Combat Style:

A capable fighter in both traditional ninjutsu as well as bukijutsu, Seishin is able to fight at almost any distance with some level of proficiency. The chuunin’s ability to manipulate the fuuton and suiton elements allows him great versatility in battle, as he can strike with concussive, piercing, or cutting force. Furthermore, the youth doesn’t limit himself to any one of the aforementioned methods of attack nor does he limit himself to using one element over the other. Having said that, suiton techniques are employed as a distraction tactic more often than fuuton techniques while fuuton techniques are used primarily for offensive purposes. This is due to the inherent nature of the elements, characteristics which Seishin can do nothing about. Fortunately, both fuuton and suition can be used defensively to an effective degree, so the chuunin is always able to form some type of elemental protection should the need arise.

Versatility with chakra nature aside, Seishin may be most dangerous in close-combat situations given his aptitude for bukijutsu, more specifically kenjutsu. The chuunin’s skillfulness with swordplay make it his preferred method of striking when the chance presents itself, and the youth will typically attempt to manipulate the battle so that the distance between himself and his opponent(s) is within the range of a weaponry assault. Combined with the fuuton chakra nature, Seishin has the potential to produce an array of elemental-infused attacks as well as traditional ones.

The chuunin’s mentality during battle is oriented towards survival. Seishin is cautious and doesn’t like to rush into a confrontation blindly. Although he isn’t the most seasoned shinobi, the youth does use his prior battles as a reference point when observing his foe. When there is too little information to properly understand the tendencies of the opposition, Seishin will attempt to lure out the capabilities in an attempt to better gauge his own approach. This reconnaissance will be abandoned in favor of hit-and-run tactics if the battle becomes too prolonged however. Seishin’s hit-and-run tactics are usually comprised of either clones or techniques of the suiton nature, while his actual strikes are more often than not either bukijutsu or techniques of the fuuton nature. He likes to strike as fast as possible, or as quietly as possible.

If outnumbered, Seishin will try to flee unless there are exceptional circumstances. In such cases, most of his actions will be oriented towards disorienting his opponents and giving himself both the time and distance to escape. When among allies, Seishin’s methods do not change much from what has previously been said. There may however, be a greater degree of coordination in his techniques although teamwork isn’t a strong point of his. Therefore, his attempts at coordinating strikes may be hit or miss.

Seishin is most limited at long-range since the distance makes it difficult if not impossible for him to use bukijutsu. Additionally, the youth doesn't have a great understanding of genjutsu outside of what his clan's scriptures and the academy have taught him. As such, the chuunin would not win an illusionary battle since he doesn't have the incredible chakra control that is found in most illusionists and medics, nor can he comprehend illusions on the same level as those who can produce them. While his kekkei genkai does mitigate this weakness to an extent, it is a weakness nonetheless.

You have Dai Kamaitachi - Great Cutting Whirlwind, yet no fan to utilise the technique with.

Apart from that, this application looks perfect, well done!

I wonder why I did that. scratch
Thanks for point that out. The jutsu has been removed, and replaced with [Kaiten Shuriken - Rotating Shuriken], a fuuton technique. I've also added Tomohawks and small scrolls (for sealing weapons) to the list because I'd forgotten to do so in the original post.
