Yoroi Kaguya

A day after he had helped some local fishermen fend off a giant octopus, allowing them to return to their families safely. The amount of fish that had been brought in by the men was large, enough to keep Konohagakure's fishing trade going for another couple of weeks, maybe even a month. It was good to know that Yoroi had not just helped a couple that was soon to get married but to also contribute to the village at the same time. Being the kind of person that was haunted by nightmares whenever he went to bed for a good night of sleep, it was another early morning for Yoroi. Even though he was having a temporary break from things, he was still keeping track of the events in the village. As such, he had picked up on a problem with some of the fish that had been brought in by the ship he had helped earlier. All he had done was protect them from harm, though he still felt more or less responsible for whatever it was that had taken place near the docks. Having made the decision to just check it out and see if there was anything he could do to help, he had set out towards the docks early in the morning, reaching the place when the sun had only just reached above the horizon.

Upon reaching his destination, he could tell that there was definitely something wrong with the place. Taking the first person he could reach out of the group, he started questioning him about what it was that had happened. When word reached him of a certain type of fish that managed to be able to survive in both salt and inland waters being dropped into a large basin, Yoroi was not quite impressed, nor did he really see the point of this mission. When the man continued explaining that this kind of fish was an especially hungry kind of predatory fish that would eat most of the other species that lived in the rivers of the fire country, it seemed that unless the creatures were stopped, they would destroy the watery ecosystem of the fire country, in turn destroying whatever income the village had in terms of inland fishing. Figuring that the men he had helped with the protection of their ship did not have to suffer for the shipment they had brought in, Yoroi marched towards the large basin. It was where the problem originated from, so that was the place where he would have to go to stop it, if it could still be stopped.

If things were to escalate, and these fish had nothing left to eat in the basin, they would most certainly try to move into the rivers, from where they would get to wreak havoc in every pool and stream that coursed through the land of fire, and that was something he simply could not allow. On the other hand, he did not really want to kill these fish either, for they had been dropped in there by accident as well. Not just that, but there was a reason as to why these fish were kept alive. As it turned out, they produced top notch fish eggs that were used at high class parties all over the world, making them worth more than Yoroi was. It was funny how the world worked, for whenever people had to choose between what was best and what would bring up the most money, they never seemed to have a hard time with making the wrong decision. In the end, every living person had it's price, and it was just the trick of figuring out exactly what that price was, usually just being a ton of money. Shaking his head in disappointment, he let out a deep sigh, trying to figure out what he had to do to fix this mess.

Yoroi Kaguya

It took him quite a while before he was able to think of something that would work out in this situation. He had to figure out something that would get all of the carnivorous fish out without killing them or the other inhabitants of the basin, which made the task of capturing dozens of hungry submerged predators a whole lot harder than he would care to admit. Thinking about using his lightning release, he figured out a way to use his chakra to be of use to him. Stepping into the basin, Yoroi used a lightning jutsu, pulsating through the water and quickly knocking most of them into an unconscious state. Having shifted the output of the damage over a larger distance, rather than having it all in one spot, it helped him keep the fish alive and easy to take out of the water. After a while, most of the fish were just moving through the water, motionless and looking like they had all just died on the spot, though this was not the case. The only thing keeping them in motion was the current, allowing him to pick the fish out with his bare hands. For five minutes, doing so was actually working out for him, though it quickly turned out to become at least half a days work, so another part of the plan was forged.

Summoning several snakes ranging from one to three meters in length from his sleeves, he had them pick out the fish with their mouth, safely taking all of the animals with them into the large crates they had originally escaped from. This activity was greatly increasing the time in which Yoroi could finish up the cleaning of the basin, something the dockworkers and fishermen noticed too. Not counting on any of them to actually help him out with the problems he faced, Yoroi knew that if he was to do this with his group of snakes, he would only be about two hours away from completion, though fate had something else going for him. Much to his surprise, one after the other was coming towards the basin, picking up the fish and tossing them into special crates. Even though they had made the mistake of underestimating the cleverness of these fish in the first place, Yoroi had not anticipated that anyone would actually try to help him out with this task. As one person after the other passed him by, he could tell that the men he had saved the other day were also actively helping, taking two or three of the animals at once and throwing them back where they belonged.

At this pace, it only took the men, women and snakes half an hour to pick out roughly sixty fish whilst making sure that not a single one of them remained to do harm to the fire country's ecosystem. Comparing the collection of these fish in regular water to fending off a massive octopus in a bay filled with salt water, he would pick the collection of these fish every single time. Assisting in the transportation of the crates to the dock, he made sure that the fish would not get another chance to escape and go about their business again. Watching as the workers thanked him for his assistance, he thought about all the things that had changed in just a couple of years. A few years ago, he would have just ignored and snapped at people, though he actually welcomed their help without responding negatively to it. Keeping himself from smiling about just how pathetic all of this sounded, he sat himself down at the side of the basin, looking down to see as the fish slowly awoke from their unconscious states, slowly orienting themselves and returning to their busy lives of swimming, swimming and.... swimming.
