The journey had been an enjoyable one for Kira. As they traveled from the "isolated" region of Kumogakure no Sato, to the Bear Country; they were able to take in many different types of landscapes that were new and intriguing to Kira. Mountains transformed into marshes, and marshes into rolling fields. Kira was able to feel the grandiose feeling of the world that he lived in, and it felt good. Kira surveyed his surroundings, seeing the various cracks and crevices in the distance. He had heard that the gas emitted from them could be quite harmful if inhaled, but found himself utterly intrigued. The mountain ranges of Kaminari no Kuni certainly had dangerous locations, but most of the natural formations gave way to lava flow from deep within the earth. Equally as dangerous but a more visible threat.
Kira smiled as his vision scanned over to Shikari-san. The Jonin had proved himself to be an amusing partner to travel with. After being scolded by him for the apple incident, Kira had been adamant in proving himself a worthy ninja in his companion's eyes. The travel had included much banter between the two, with Kira often being wide eyed in amazement at the new sights that he was encountering. He must have looked a fool, but it mattered not. The two had also spoke a little of each others history. Kira had learned that Shikari had lost his parents at a young age, and Kira had told the tale of the loss of his brother and his subsequent coma. It was a bonding experience for both, and they would definitely be closer for it.
As the duo approached the town of Kuma Amari Kira called for his senior to stop. Looking out at the squat square building before them, Kira wondered how exactly they were going to complete their mission. The town itself was of a larger than average size, being larger than a town but smaller than a city. While the building's weren't exactly skyscrapers, they did get pretty damn tall. And that would just equal more space to cover in the long run. Kira didn't think people would be too psyched about ratting out the local criminals to some out of country ninja so that would only further to complicate the mission at hand. But if there was a will there was a way.
Sighing he finally spoke to his partner after they stopped. "Well Shikari-san. I don't know about you, but I do believe that it's going to be quite difficult to find these guys." Kira mulled over his own speech, carefully trying to consider whether his words sounded stupid or not. "Unless these guys are ostentatious, they should be keeping a rather low profile." Surveying the skyline of the town Kira carefully considered where they should make their first move. "We could try some bars to find them. Or maybe try and locate some of the families who had their children stolen to see if they have any leads." Kira grinned as he ran his fingers through his hair in a nasty habit that he had been forming lately. "But the plan is up to you boss!" Kira said with an appreciative smile to his companion. |

| The land was a land that Shikari has encountered on several occasions and he always enjoyed his time here, especially when he had time off. When he could he would climb up the mountain side, which was rather difficult but amazingly fun. The natural marshes were also fun but dangerous, the natural traps and creatures that lived within could easily sneak up on one. Just like all marshes, it was fairly easy to get lost and side tracked but with such a beauty land, came beautiful sites. Sometimes he wished that he had the ability to carry a camera and take pictures of the landscape. If only Shikari knew how to draw, then he would retire as a shinobi and paint the lands across the world and make it into his professional series.
The journey was pleasurable because Shikari got to know Kira as Kira got to know Shikari. They form a light personal relationship with each other by opening up and telling more about themselves and their background. Kira still has his parents and Shikari made sure to tell Kira that when he got home to tell them that he loves them and appreciates them. It was something that Kira could only wish to understand, but hopefully he won't have to do it anytime soon. He did notice how amazed that the young genin was glad to see his surroundings just like Shikari was. He was fairly certain that Kira didn't get to travel very often and wanted to make sure that he had a good time while he was traveling. It was a major part of the job and it was always fun to learn about new places, and their culture. That is why Shikari always recommended being a courier, you learn about a lot of places and learn how to travel and navigate and you'll always be able to find yourself back at the steps of the villages. With those skills, he was able to save his own life and still give out all the mail! He was certainly glad that the young genin could appreciate such landscape, most of the younger generation don't; nor do they like traveling.
Once they finally made their way to the village, Shikari stopped and noticed how big the town was. It certainly grew much bigger than when he was there about a year ago, which he was glad to see. The activity and growth of such a small town was something that the older shinobi liked to see. Seeing progress in such a minor village was pleasurable but it was sad that it attracted crime. Shikari understood crime, but he thought there were two different kinds of criminals. Thugs and felons and then the thieves who steal to feed their families because they were outcasted or in some despicable situations. "My young friend, do you remember your days at the academy? Remember everything you learned there because those are the core values of being a shinobi. The morals, the jutsu, the styles, everything. You will use it everyday, you might not know it but you do." He brought his right hand to his chest and did a couple of handseals, he only needed one hand to perform jutsu.
A puff of cloud took place where he was. As the cloud started to disperse and reveal "...Henge No Jutsu." A young child appeared and he had his black hair in a pony tail and had a shiny gold necklace on which would hopefully attract the thugs. "Now play with me so we can bring in the money. Don't switch until I give a signal because some people might just want to talk to us." He wanted to stay outside the protection of the village so when the darkness will shine, the two will be able to speak to the thugs directly, yet the only thing that Shikari was worried about that the darkness take away his shadows, that one that he manipulates. Hopefully they will show before his shadows become to weak and not viable.
