| I could have sworn we encourage/ensure that members have Japanese character names, don't we? O_o |

| Encourage? Yes. An absolute rule? Not so much. |

| Travis is right, there's no absolute rule stating that a character must use a Japanese name. It's just preferred over other languages. |

- When it comes to picking a name, we appreciate people being as creative as possible, steering away from the generic names like Kuro, which means Dark. We want all names to be Japanese related, though certain exceptions may be made, avoid common names like James, Peter, Stephanie, Sarah etc. Your name should sit with your surname at the front followed by your first name. For example; Uchiha, Sasuke. Do not forget that comma.

| Ok so if my Japanese character meets, say (for example), Liam, how would he then react? Do I have to act as if Liam was a name my character would be used to hearing, or would I go - oh he is a foreigner/has a foreign name.
Just wondering ^^ |

| I'd say treat it in the realm of "Huh, that's an unusual name," but not as if "Whoa! Now you're just making up words!" |

D'aww. If my character had a sense of humour, 'Woah now you're just making up words' would be the exact line he would use
Liam is making up words, got it. ^^ Solved. |
