| Yoroi Kaguya | | | “My my, you are doing a whole lot better then I thought you would in so little time. I guess there was no mistake in the determination I felt from you, right Kaien?”
Yoroi said to himself, looking out across the forests from his mountain top. The thing he was watching from his perched position was his new partner in crime, Kaien the Peregrine falcon. Yoroi had saved the raptor in the land of snow where it had been laying under a pile of snow, deprived of it’s energy and struck down by the cruel hand of famine. Had it not been for the young konoha shinobi, the bird would have died in very little time, so it was not that silly to expect that the bird had gotten to see him as his master. For Yoroi, all of this was just as much a learning experience as it was for his falcon, though they both had the fierce kind of determination that was required for the both of them to learn how to do this. Spending time with Kaien, Yoroi was trying to learn falconry first hand, with a bird that had not properly been trained to do such a thing. It was not much of a shame when one considered that Yoroi was completely new to being a falcon’s trainer either. Today was the second time they were training out in the forests of the fire country.
The wide green expanse that rose all around the graveyard mountain where Yoroi had set up his camp. For Yoroi, all of this was just as much a learning experience as it was for his falcon, though they both had the fierce kind of determination that was required for the both of them to learn how to do this. Raising his hand up into the air with a piece of red meat held between his fingers, he put his fingers between his lips and sent a sharp whistle through the sky, echoing between the trees, telling the bird to come back to him. The moment the peregrine falcon picked up on the whistle, he let out a high pitched shriek, turning around in mid air and coming back towards Yoroi. Dashing through the air at immense speeds, it had already set it’s sights on it’s treat. Upon reaching Yoroi, it landed on his arm, sinking it’s claws into his flesh and swallowing the piece of meat. The moment Yoroi felt the stinging pain, Kaien seemed to realize what it had just done, turning it’s head a bit and pushing off into the air, releasing it’s tight grip.
“It’s fine Kaien, it’s not your fault...”
Setting itself down on the branch of a tree, Kaien shrieked, almost as if it were trying to apologize for wounding it’s master. It was not really it’s fault, Yoroi had just been too dumb to wear something around his arm that was sturdy enough to not get penetrated by the falcon’s claws that could easily rend flesh. It had shown that when Kaien had so eagerly clenched it’s claws around Yoroi’s arm to get to his food. There was really only one thing he had to do now if he wanted to get on with his falconry, to make some kind of thick glove. It had to be thick enough to keep Kaien’s thick claws from rending his skin again, so he would probably have to get several pieces of leather and fur and sew it all together to create a strong layer over his skin.

| Yoroi Kaguya | | | First things first, he had to look for some medicinal herbs to put on his wound, not having any use for an infected wound that would start to fester if left unattended. At this point, he could keep it from getting infected, meaning it would take priority over all other planned activities. If Yoroi was to lose a hand due to infections, he would not be able to continue living the way he did now, meaning he would rather die then continue living any longer. His pride was what kept him from stepping to the hospital of Konoha, believing that he could take care of himself well enough. Heading down to the small garden he had created earlier, he picked a couple of leaves and placed them on top of the stone table. Mashing them to a thick, pasty green pulp with a round rock, he got one of his urns of water, using it to clean the blood off of his arm first. Making sure to wash it off above the garden he had made, he made sure that the water he threw away was not wasted, using it as nourishment for his plants.
Putting his fingers into the thick pasted, he rubbed it into the wound, biting on his lip to keep himself from releasing the pain in a verbal manner. Continuing the process until all of the paste was laying like a layer on top of the wound, he was satisfied with the results. With the mashed leaves in place, he wrapped a leathery band around it in a tight fashion, keeping the substance from moving. Now that his wounds had been tended to, it was time to start sewing up a glove that was thick enough to keep Kaien’s claws from reaching him again. Taking a very sharp bone needle and some string from his pockets, he placed them on a large flat rock that acted as a table to have dinner on. Taking several hides out of his storage crate, Yoroi made one of his bones protrude his skin, surging with lightning energy to allow swift and accurate cutting. Slicing through the leather, he made sure to cut pieces that were big enough to wrap around his arm several times. Through trial and error, he put up a basic outline of a glove, though he was not yet satisfied with the result.
Having a prototype around his hand, he put some more straps of leather around the exterior of the glove, locking it in place with the fine thread that would keep it where it had to be. Being plenty thick enough to keep even the teeth of a cougar from penetrating the glove, he was certain that his craftsmanship had been a success. The result was a somewhat messy, but seemingly effective glove that would be more then enough to keep Kaien’s claws out. As a means of testing his theory, he placed his fingers to his lips, letting a whistle escape his lips and calling Kaien from his perched position. Getting a shriek as a reply, the falcon flew from the tree and landed on Yoroi’s extended arm. As it sat down, Yoroi could not feel a thing at all, meaning the experiment had been more then successful. Reaching into his pocket, he picked out a piece of meat for his feathery friend. He knew that the bird had been rather shocked by Yoroi’s initial response, though he hoped that things were fine with Kaien now.
Extending his hand over the ravine, Kaien released it’s grip on the glove, diving down at an incredible speed. Now that Yoroi had his glove, he and Kaien kept training the entire afternoon, trying different routines and tactics. Hoping he could turn the falcon into a personal messenger bird, the hours went by as they trained high up in the mountains. Because of this, he completely forgot about his other tasks that had a rather high priority too. He had been planning on telling Kimiko and Viera that he had returned to Konoha, though he would just have to make them believe that he was still gone, making sure he reached them in the morning. For now, he would just keep improving his falconry with the eager bird.
