Yoroi Kaguya

A while ago, Yoroi had decided that it would be a good decision for him to leave his comfort zone and do a bit of traveling and sight seeing. In doing so, he had left the land of fire for the land of lightning, passing through the land of snow in the process. While he was in the land of lightning, he had met a few people who were not exactly kind to him, something that contributed to him leaving the place rather early. What had tempted him to stay longer was the forest of sanctuary, a place he had truly enjoyed being close to in the short time he spent there. The varies kinds of wildlife he had never seen before in his life, the amount of flora that spread itself across the forest, all of it had just been magical. Unfortunately, the snow country and the people of the lightning country had ruined most of his fun. All together, his trip to the land of lightning had not been a very fruitful one to him, though there were several beams of light that were strong and radiant enough to pierce the dark clouds of negativity.

The plants and seeds he had managed to take with him had a status of being rare, thus they were protected by the people of Kumogakure no Sato. Yoroi had chosen not to give a damn, taking the plants and giving them a chance to grow in the country of fire. He thought it was selfish to keep a rare breed of plants to themselves, who knew when a bad period might rise up to cause the plants to badly, decreasing their numbers even further. Yoroi had chosen to take the risk of angering the lightning country by taking these plants with him, knowing this very well. They had been unkind to him, so he did not really care about making them feel like they got picked on either. Having all of his flowers stored inside of a large wooden crate, he reassured himself that they would be just fine until he finished setting up the perimeter for his garden. He had all the means of making a large garden for the venomous plants and the medicinal plants, for flowers, bushes and vines.

It was time for Yoroi to set up an area where the plants he had taken, as well as the next generation of plants would get to grow. Having so much space on top of his lonely mountain, Taking some of his bone totems out of the ground, he used them as farming tools, overturning the earth with it and drawing lines in the sand where he would plant the seeds. Setting one totem at every corner of the field, he knew exactly where he needed to start plowing through the earth in order to make everything look nice and tidy. Using his lightning release techniques to make things easier, he applied large amounts of force and punched and kicked at the floor, overturning the earth and making it perfect for planting seedlings and mature plants alike, creating room for their roots. It was a lot of work, putting quite a bit of strain on Yoroi’s muscles after having so recently returned home from his travels. The sun that was burning his skin was not making things any easier on him, though he was planning to take a swim soon anyway.

Rampaging across the surface like a mad bull, he finished a days worth of work in two hours. Finishing the two fields, he made sure that he would get to split the venomous plants and the medicinal plants, not wanting to get the two mixed up and accidentally poisoning either himself or someone else. Unfortunately, he was nowhere near done yet, still having to sort through the plants, picking out the shriveled ones and making sure all the seeds had remained in tact. There was still so much left to do that Yoroi decided to take a swim in the spring first, leaving Kaien and Shakreido to look after the camp.

Yoroi Kaguya

By the time Yoroi came back, he had managed to wash most of his wounds up a bit while refreshing the bandages. The sticky paste he had made earlier that week when practicing his falconry had all been absorbed into his blood stream, the hardened remnants having acted like a crust for a long time. When he entered the water, it all washed right off, showing a clean wound that had closed up nicely. If things carried on the way they did, he might not even have any scars to show for the little mistake he had made. With the new bandages in place, he was ready to continue with the work he had started, to finish his private garden up in the mountains. There was still a large amount of work to be done, things he refused to do alone when Shakreido was around to help him do it. Calling out to the snake that was currently curled up inside of it’s den, it came slithering out, almost as if he had been waiting to be called out by its master. Instructing the large snake to make tracks in the plowed earth, he would use the piles of sand left at the side of each path as a place to bury the seeds of the plants he wanted to plant first.

Yoroi started with the venomous plants, knowing that planting them would be a rather hard and annoying task, requiring a large amount of patience if he wanted to keep himself from poisoning himself. With great care, he made sure all the same plants would stick to their own patch of land, not being entirely sure whether he could put one plant next to another kind of plant. It was a well known fact that some plants attacked one another by taking their light or consuming their nourishment. By putting the same plants next to one another, he completely eliminated this aspect that could have become rather problematic. Having Shakreido to do a lot of the physical work by just slithering through the loose earth, they encountered several rat dens too.Ordering both Shakreido and Kaien to sufficiently scare the rats out of their dens, he personally took the nests filled with babies and placed them deeper in the forest.

He did not want to hurt the creatures, for they were just as much a part of the forest as he was, so simply eradicating them was not an option he could live with. The reason why he had to forcefully evict them from their homes was because he did not want them chewing down on the roots of his rare plants. This was an act that would kill his garden before it really got a chance to expand and grow the way the should. The rat problem made things a bit harder to do in little time, adding a full hour on top of the time he had hoped to spend on getting things ready. Now that it was done though, he felt relieved that things had gone as smoothly as they did, praising himself and his companions for the work they had done so far. With the hazardous plants in place and the rats scared away from the premises, he could continue with the job of frailty and patience, putting down all the healing herbs and vines.

To Yoroi, these would have the most usefulness, having no hospital or doctor he could go to if he got hurt while on the hunt or did something stupid, like let a falcon lend on his bare skin. Though these plants were a lot more frail, he no longer had to look out with poisonous leaves or barbs that could potentially put him out of business for a while, so to say. If he managed to get these plants to grow without much problems, he would have a vast supply of healing herbs that would surely help him, Shakreido and Kaien if they ever needed such a thing. Taking a lot less time then the annoying poison plants, he was done very quickly when it came to the healing herbs. Needless to say, he was not done yet, though Yoroi had already spent a large amount of the day with working on his garden.

He still had so much more to do, deer to hunts, traps to clear out and reset, food to prepare and a bed to make, not to mention going down to the creek to fill up his urns with fresh water. Life was hectic for Yoroi, though he liked it the way it was more then he thought he would be able to enjoy it in the village. Village life just seemed way too easy for him, requiring to at least hunt and prepare his own food in order to feel good about what he did. For now, he would put the remainder of the plants in their crates while watering the field with the water he had left in his urns. Tomorrow would be the day to finish up his work, though the rest of the day would be spent doing the stuff that became a routine for Yoroi, the things needed for survival.
