| Yoroi Kaguya | | | Doing as the farmer had instructed him, Yoroi wandered into a small town inside of the fire country in search of the baker. In all honesty, he was somewhat disappointed in the small amount of knowledge the man passed down on him, though the coin was always helpful. Though Yoroi had never spent a single coin he had either found or earned, he just stored it all up in a lockbox, buried beneath a heavy rock back in his camp. For someone like him that got his own food, water and supplies while even making his own utility tools and clothing, money had nothing to add to his way of life. The sole reason as to why he was saving it all up was so that he could maybe give it to Kimiko or Viera sometime. The only reason as to why he had not given his money away to some charity or to one of his two friends was because there was no way of knowing what the future might bring for him and his companions.
For all he knew, Shakreido or Kaien might get sick to a point beyond his limited healing skills, and without an insurance or something of a kind, he would surely need a lot of money to see to it that they would not die on him. It was something he would rather not think about, though he still had to make sure that things would work out as well as possible for the three of them. There was just too much he could not foresee, the majority of these things easily being treated by things such as modern medicine, though these all required lots of money. As things were now, Yoroi had a fair amount of money, though it was not enough to do such things as being a house or any things as fancy as that, he couldn't even rent an apartment with the money he had. It didn't matter, all he had to really do was save it up for future occasions.
Pushing against the door, the store was rather empty, having no store clerk or customers inside at all. It gave off the appearance that the owner of the store had already given up on it before he had managed to get there. Noticing a silvery bell on the counter, Yoroi walked over to it and hit it three times, hoping someone was going to come forth to meet him in the store. The moment the woman of middle age stepped towards him, he instinctively checked the room from the corner of his eyes to make sure there were no brooms around. Not being able to find any, he figured that it would be best to do as Yura had told him, explaining to the woman that he had been sent by him as a means of speeding up the process.

| Yoroi Kaguya | | | “Excuse my intrusion, but a farmer going by the name Yura sent me here to help you with some kind of problem in the basement. He told me to tell you that he sent me as a means of easing your mind on the matter. Personally, I have no idea as to what needs to be done here, though I can promise you that I will be able to take care of it. Would you mind?”
“So that old geezer sent you to take care of the basement rats, that sounds a lot like him. He’s a parasite, he always promises to do things and then sends someone else, only to avoid coming here himself, lazy bastard. Alright, you can help me, but do you have the means of catching or killing all of those rats yourself? You do not look like you are that well equipped for this kind of work”
“Why yes, I have brought someone with me who will take care of your little rat problem in only a couple of minutes. All we want is a little compensation for our work and we will be on our way. After all, it would only be fair to pay the people who keep your slate clean a little bit to add to our savings, wouldn't you agree?”
“You don’t mean that nasty slithering beast that’s waiting outside do you. I don’t want one pest in here for the sake of taking care of other pests, i’d rather have the rats in my basement if it means keeping that pest outside”
“...If I may be so bold, I would suggest locking that tongue behind your lips the next time you choose to spit your filth at me and my race. My master is with me now, though he won’t always be here, and guess who might come see you when you sleep... hmm...”
Shakreido spoke in a rather annoyed way, not liking it when such an annoying meat-bag spoke down on him and his race like he was some kind of rodent. He was a bronze scaled serpent, one of the last of it’s kind that it knew of, something he had neglected to tell Yoroi. Shakreido believed himself to be royal among it’s kind, though this all still had to be proven to be true or false. Regardless of all that, the woman remained clear of the snake as it slithered across the floor, making it’s way towards the basement. Waiting in front of the door, it’s slit-like pupils stared straight into the woman’s eyes, almost threatening her into opening the door for them. Once the woman allowed him to set foot in the basement, there was no mistaking that the light from the outside was reflecting in the pitch black eyes of a rat population, a big one at that.
Hearing a faint rumble coming from his feet, it was Shakreido’s stomach going berserk as it shot down into the darkness like a scaled missile. Waiting until Eve shut the door behind him, he sat himself down at the top of the stairs, simply looking down at Shakreido as he chased down each and every one of the rats that got caught in his visual range. Yoroi often wondered if his ferocity was what had brought them together, but he was sure that there was no such thing as a supernatural force bringing people or animals together. There was only fate, an ever changing aspect of live that made things happen at random, for that was all there was in this world.

| Yoroi Kaguya | | | Sitting at the top of the stairs, he made sure none of the escaping rats could get out of the place without biting their way through his very own flesh. Luckily for Yoroi, Shakreido was not allowed the rats to bleed on the floor or to suffer, killing the rats with a swift headbutt, crushing their little bodies before consuming them, satisfying his immense hunger. In all of his misplaced aggression and hunger, he seemed to have missed a small nest of wheat plants on the stairs. Picking it up from the ground, a large black rat launched itself out of it and shot itself towards a hole in the wall. As it rushed over to it, the snake’s tail lashed out, sending it against a wall and killing it on hit. It was not Shakreido’s fault, for once he had gone into a feeding frenzy, he simply forgot to pay attention to anything else around him. Pairing this with it’s physical strength and body made up almost entirely out of muscle, it was not that far fetched.
The moment he started pushing his finger through the nest, he found several naked little rats, only a couple of days old by the look of things. For a moment, he considered killing them with his own hand, though he believed that with the tools he had back in his camp, these creatures would be able to continue living as wild rats, rather then domestic pests. Putting the three rat babies into his pocket, he made sure they would not get killed by Shakreido or whatever person Eve would send down into the basement as a means of cleaning things up. Yoroi was not afraid of hurting or killing animals as a means of feeding himself and his companions, though he would not be responsible for killing harmless babies that had no way of defending themselves. It was just as he had thought at first, you’d never know what might cross your path.
Setting foot out of the basement, Shakreido came after him, bulging all over because of the rats he had eaten. Slithering right out the front door, it cast one last angry gaze at Eve, still being very much on her guard because of the things he told her earlier. Moments after his departure, Yoroi figured that Shakreido would be able to get home on his own, holding out his hand to take his coin with him. With both fear and gratefulness in her eyes, she reached underneath the counter and got out a small pouch filled with coin. Placing it in his pocket, he kindly nodded at her and followed Shakreido through the front door. He had to get home to count out his coin now, to see whether it had all been worth it.End of Topic Ready for Eval | | |
