| Well, I want to use this as a soundboard kind of thing I guess. I'll post various ideas that I have for a fanfic or just a story in general and see what you guys think of it. If any of the ideas ever go to fruition I may post a link so you can read and tell me what you think of them C:
Well first off, I have an idea for a Star Wars fic that involves "finding" the Eclipse-class Dreadnaught abandoned by Tyber Zann, traveling back in time through a black hole in the Maw and coming out during the second movie. How in the fuck I'm going to do this, still no idea yet. But I know I have a small fleetish thing planned out involving around 3 other kinds of ships. A YT-1300 light freighter, a Minstrel-class Space Yacht, and a Carrack-class light cruiser. I'd have put links in, but it didn't do the normal url thing like it used to. I'm very lost.
If anyone has any ideas that can help me feel free to respond to this post. |

| I have a very limited knowledge of Star Wars so I can't assist you with your writing, but I applaud you for the thought and effort you'll undoubtedly put into it. |

I'm a Star Wars fan, yet I barely knew any of the names you just used here. |

| Make sure you have a lot of likeable characters and a team composed of: 1) Generic badass who is never in action for some reason 2) Generic douchebag 3) Guy who dies first (you can have him be of different race or an alien, serves him right to be different) 4) The nicest and most relatable character (make sure he dies just after the guy who dies first and in the most gruesome way) 5) Generic comic relief guy, make sure his jokes are very unfunny and forced, otherwise we may like him, if you aren't sure how to write him, make him have some sort of freaky accent and break the fourth wall all the time for no reason...
Make sure your story involves characters everyone knows and loves but no need to make your characters work together with them, just make them either dissapear for no reason before something happens or make them look useless to the point where your characters are teaching them how to swing a lightsaber correctly. No need to have any character developments or interactions, remember, your characters are already generic stereotypes so it saves a lot of time you could spend on useless spontaneous event driven story, make sure vaguely described action sequences drive your story.
It is optimal to have absolutely no references to anything happening at that universe and timeline at the moment, after all who cares about Obi Wan and Anakin and his path to evil, your generic characters and their generic and useless deaths are all that matters. Make sure to involve a scene where your character saves someone important like Yoda or Mace Windu and then dies a second after introducing themselves in American way. You can have a lot of Jar Jar in your fanfic, he is an original character just like yours, he will fit much better than some no-name like say... Obi Wan...
There is absolutely no need to involve any villains of that timeline, no one gives a shit about droids, Darth Sidious or other Sith characters, the readers are much more interested in generic badass looking but no character having villain who follows your stereotypical a-holes through the time portal. Please do not develop his character or motivations at all, having him kill off some no name character is all the development he needs, it's even more impressive if the readers met that character few sentences ago, that will surely impress them and make them realise just how serious the stakes are. Also don't point out how affecting that timeline correlates with the character's timeline, you can even point out how that has absolutely no effect at all, readers need to know that whatever they are reading has absolutely no importance to the overall universe. The less climatic is your final battle, the better: the villain can be killed by Jar Jar accidentally tripping and pushing him into space or something, also you can have an ironic moment and have your characters just run away to their own timeline leaving the super-dangerous villain stranded in the Clone Wars timeline because readers need to have some twisted moral like: "If you run away from your problem, it's not your problem anymore" or something like that, also such ending may serve as an excellent sequel bait...
Please follow all those points mentioned and your story will be astonishing, also make sure you send us the link to it and the printed version to that bastard in Lucas Arts, it's real blockbuster material...
