| The waterfall was a nice place to be during the day, mostly because the only kinds of life one would find here were fish. It was nice to be away from people every now and then, because even though he loved Kimiko and Viera very much, he could only be around people for so long without having to take a break from it all. Standing at the top of the waterfall, he looked out across the forest, the village hidden in the leaves standing no more then seven kilometers away from his position. Until recently, Yoroi loathed his clan more then anything in the world, hating the people who fought like brutish barbarians, killing for no reason other then being bored or considering it to be fun. Yoroi wanted to show the other Kaguya that he refused to be like them, that his power would be used when he really had to, not when he felt like showing off. He felt the same way about fighting people, only going as far as to kill if there are no other options remaining. Because of the people he wanted to protect, he had chosen to wield his bloodline and make it stronger then ever before.
Roughly one hundred meters away from his position, Yoroi had cut down some trees and turned them into logs of about three meters each. Pushing them into the river that was leading into the waterfall, he had devised a plan that would aid him in his training of the Shikotsumyaku. Leaping down into the basin below, twenty five meters down took less then two seconds, his body dropping into the water like a cannonball. As he resurfaced, he set foot on top of the basin, walking over it like it was mere earth or concrete. Any minute now, the first logs would start tumbling down on Yoroi, having enough power to crush his skull if he was not careful. Allowing the bones in his finger tips to protrude a bit, he patiently awaited the right moment when the logs came down. Even though it was training for his corpse bone path, he was training the accuracy of his strikes at the same time, hoping that through this, he would be able to prove to himself that his bloodline was strong enough.
With the first three logs tumbling down, Yoroi fired the bones from his fingertips, launching them into the logs, trying to hit as many as he possibly could. Blasting chunks out of the wooden logs, the structure had been weakened enough for Yoroi’s Taijutsu, jumping up and forcing his legs straight through solid wood with a spinning kick in mid air. Not long after that, the final logs came tumbling down towards him, this time being roughly seven, meaning the remainder of the logs had come down towards him in one lethal go. Forcing his bones to grow at an accelerated pace, they protruded from his skeletal structure and stood at the ready like blades. Trying to gain momentum by moving he ran across the water and jumped in between the logs, performing a backward spin. While spinning, the momentum on the blades caused them to slip through the wood in a single slice.
In doing this, the wood was torn and flayed upon hitting the water’s surface, making every piece of wood he had targeted into nothing more then firewood. In the end, the heavy and dangerous logs were nothing more then tinder before the might of Yoroi’s corpse bone path, the Kaguya bloodline every taijutsu practitioner feared more then anything. Retracting his bones back into his body, he started collecting the soaked wood, not really wanting to throw them away so easily. If he he was to lay them out to dry back in his camp he could still use them as firewood. He respected nature, so casting trees aside so easily was not something he would feel right about at all. Picking the pieces out of the water one by one, he threw them onto the shore so he could gather them all later, taking them home with him to serve as firewood. Carrying it under his arm, he went back home to rest up a bit and have dinner, after which he would seek out Kimiko. |
