Sadao's relationship with Morijin is arguably his most complex relationship. The two treat each other like brothers who constantly clash heads in the way that from an outsiders perspective it may look like the two were on the brink of killing one another. A bond that began when Morijin's aunty, the Second Hokage, took Sadao under her tutelage. Despite being the younger of the two, Sadao often acts as the moral compass of the duo is the straight man to Morijin's eccentric 'act'. When all jokes are aside there is nobody Sadao would rather have beside him on the battlefield or just generally in life. Sadao considers Morijin to be his best and most loyal friend and as close to family as he can get.

Sadao met what he considers to be the embodiment of beauty when he was recovering from a near fatal wound in Konohagakure's hospital. Having his wounds treated by the most caring nurse he had ever had, Sadao quickly developed a connection with Hani and used her as an outlet for a lot of emotion he had built up from the death of the Fourth Hokage. Since then, Hani had officially became Sadao's assistant in the administration building even though Sadao does not treat her as such. She is extremely valued in both Sadao's professional and personal life and the opportunity to spend more time with her excites him in a way he has not experienced before.

After Sadao's teacher and overall role model the Second Hokage passed and Sadao was contemplating a very premature end to both his political and shinobi careers, Robin stepped in seeing the same potential as Senju, Etsu did and motivated the boy to continue his path to inevitable success. Robin's lessons were a lot tougher than Lady Etsu's but equally as important. Sadao has a lot of admiration and respect for the former Third Hokage and considers him to be a close friend.
