Well I'm back from Croatia (which was beautiful), only to find my laptop has given up the ghost. It's in tech support repair now but I can't say how long before I'm actually back.

Using my mobile for now. This sucks.

Clearly, your laptop is pouting because it didn't get to go to Croatia, too. That, or this is it's way of saying it missed you.

Good luck getting your laptop fixed, Fox. Any idea what the problem is?

I have good news and bad news. Good news - I'm getting a new laptop! Bad news - I have to get a new laptop (because my old one's motherboard is caput) and will not have computer access until it arrives late next week. I'm so sorry guys, especially because of topics I'm in that need tying up.

Well, I have my new lappy! Can't stand Windows 8 but I guess I'll have to adjust. Expect posting within the next 24-48 hours, once all the transferring of hard drive stuff is done.

Thank you, everyone! It's lovely to hear from you all.

The new lappie is a Samsung 700Z5C and is working nicely. Naturally, I'm still adjusting to a different OS (Windows 8 sucks) and the actual laptop itself, too.

My return is being bogged down by real life at the minute, but as you can see I am back and should be posting this weekend. Dealing with PMs and other clutter at the moment, however.

My last one was an HP and it held up for a good four years. But the build quality wasn't as good as other models and although I wanted a Sony for my new one, my friend persuaded me that the specs on this (the Samsung) were incredible for the price.

He knows soooo much more than me about tech so I took the advice. Smile
