The day was already close to ending when a series of events would start unfolding, something the Ninja monks would not even hear about. Because everyone was still outside in the courtyard while working on their daily routines, Yoroi was all alone in his room. Having some time off from his training to grab a bite, . He had already learned how to use the fire element when he unlocked more of his chakra that had been hidden away inside of his body, though there was a lot left for him to do. With a sudden puff of smoke rising up from outside of the room, Yoroi decided to take a look, finding an fifteen meters long Shakreido laying outside, waiting for Yoroi. The damn snake grew so fast that he would undoubtedly be considered as frightening to the common man. As such, it was rather smart of the creature to station itself out of sight, standing on the other side of the building, thus not being seen by those training in the courtyard.
"Yoroi, there is something we have to talk about. It is about the Hakuja Sennin, he has asked to see you in person, the first human in decades to be called for. I don't have to explain to you how great an honor it is for a human to meet the White snake sage himself, Do I?" Shakreido said, hissing as he spoke. Clearly, he was rather excited about the fact that the White snake sage had asked for him, though he had no idea as to what it meant. To Yoroi, getting to talk to someone was just as normal as having dinner or taking a shower, though Shakreido obviously felt like this was not the right way to think about the situation. To him, the Hakuja Sennin was the closest thing to a living legend there was out there, which was also why he was so darn defensive about him earlier. The Ryuchi caverns was the home and the base of operations for all snake kind, so there was a very good reason as to why it was being kept a secret. Humanity was a destructive race, something Yoroi knew all too well, especially with the whole war thing coming.
"Why does he want to see me of all people, I am sure there are plenty of others who have more to offer then me. I don't even know if I should be leaving my training just so I can have a chat with your Sennin. Besides, there must be another handful of people who have signed the snake scroll, so why did I get chosen to meet with this person?" Yoroi stated, truly wondering why he had been chosen of all people. Hell, he did not even know what it was that he was chosen for, this being what bothered him most. It was a time where people did not know what to do anymore, just because there was a war looming to destroy everything and everyone in it's path. Yoroi was one of the people that was set on becoming strong enough to be able to fight in order to protect what he loved when the time came, which was why he had been training so hard in the last couple of months. If he went with Shakreido now, there was no telling whether or not it would just be a waste of time or not. Luckily, Shakreido seemed to have the right answer in mind, though even he did not know exactly what Yoroi would have to do once he got to the caverns and met with the White snake sage.
"It's not that easy you fool, people don't get picked over the things they have done in the past, they get picked over the things they have yet to do. If they Hakuja Sennin takes you apart from the common rabble, that means that you are going to do something in the future that will make a great impact on the world. What it is, I can't tell you because I don't know, but you can bet your ass that he does know. We will talk about the rest of it in private." Shakreido decided, touching Yoroi with the tip of his tail and summoning the both of them back to the Ryuchi caverns. Shakreido made a habit out of not trusting people, which was probably best at times like these. With a large explosion of smoke, the snake and the youth both disappeared from the monastery grounds, reappearing inside the dark halls of the Ryuchi caverns.

Once the smoke cleared, Yoroi stood in a large room that seemed to be quite deep under ground, a smart way of masking the location of the Ryuchi caverns. In the walls around him, he could see many large circular holes that actually seemed to have been paved with stone, showing that it was not just another simple snake burrow. Looking things over before actually noting the most important thing around, it seemed that the room itself must have been hundreds of years old. It was however, nothing more then just another room inside of the caverns, having many more just like this one, seem being bigger, some being smaller, though the architecture was all the same. With Shakreido by his side, the two walked down one of the circular passages, heading straight towards the Sage. Not seeing a single snake in the entire place, it was as if they were wandering through some sort of ghost town. The longer the two walked down the seemingly endless halls, the more Yoroi became on edge, starting to become incredibly annoyed by the lack of information he was given.
"So, now that we are somewhere more private, how about you start talking about what you do know, rather then keeping things from me. No offense, but if you people want something from me, you should just ask, you know that. All of this secrecy really serves no purpose other then pissing me off Shakreido, so just spill the beans already. For starters, why is no one here?" he said, using some phrases that he had picked up in the village of Konoha. He was sick and tired of people from Konohagakure to just expect him to do everything without him being allowed to know the reasons to it, and now the inhabitants of Ryuchi did it too. He did not want to be kept in the dark when he had the feeling that someone knew something and simply refused to tell him what was up. It was for that reason that he became a bit up front with Shakreido, even though the snake had done nothing wrong in the first place. It however understood Yoroi's reason for being angry, after all, he had been there when the whole event with his sister took place, having seen every gesture and heard every word that was spoken. Because of his understanding, he did not go out of his way to retaliate with unkind words, just trying to diffuse things with kindness, something that was not like him at all.
"There really is nothing I can say that will mean anything, because like I just told you, I don't know the reason as to why you are being called here at all. When the last human walked down this hallway many decades ago, I was not even born yet, so adjust that tone of yours. Don't quote me on this, but the last time a human was called by the great sage for a meeting, he became a disciple of his, eventually becoming a Sage just like him. Then again, they are just stories coming from murals, but I can assure you that the sage will explain everything to you in a moment. And to answer your other question..." Shakreido answered truthfully, having no reason to lie to the young man. Even though Shakreido did not answer the other question as to why everything was so incredibly empty and hollow, he figured Yoroi would see the reason for this soon enough. Only a few more minutes passed until the echoing sound of voices could be heard up in the distance. Not entirely sure as to how many of them were ahead of him, it was another one of those questions that answered themselves, something he was about to find out with his own eyes.

Setting foot inside of an even larger room that seemed to be at the very heart of the Ryuchi caverns, noticing a massive white snake that coiled itself in a massive stone chair. Above the snake was a large golden dragon statue that held some sort of scroll in it's mouth, figuring it must hold a lot of secret or forbidden jutsu. As his gaze went back to the snake, he could see that it was wearing a large hat while smoking on a long pipe. This White Snake Sage character truly was quite the sight to see, being among the few creatures that would only be seen by several human beings. Surrounding them was an army of snakes that seemed to be quite intent on learning about the kid that had been picked by the sage for a meeting. Because this kind of thing normally never happened in the caverns, those of royal blood were allowed to come as spectators. Stepping into a large circle of stone in the center of the room, the large white snake opened it's eyes and looked at Yoroi and Shakreido, moments before speaking.
"Ah.... Yoroi of the Kaguya Clan... delighted that you could make it here so quickly after I sent word. From what I have seen about you, you have learned a lot about the various forms of Ninjutsu, even mastering several of our Snake arts as well. You must have a lot of questions for me, don't you, Shirohebi-San." the massive snake claimed. It seemed that the old snake knew a lot about Yoroi and his achievements, figuring he had heard about it from Shakreido in the moments when they were not on the road together. "If I may be so bold as to ask such things from you, then I do have several questions. I would like to know why you picked me out of the others that have done similar things as me for your endeavors. I mean, there must be a lot of people who are a lot stronger and more capable then I am, so the exact reason as to why you picked me would be nice to know, for starters" Yoroi asked, hearing several gasping sounds around him, some hissing at his questions. It was without a doubt true that Yoroi was not the kind of person who addressed people with their honorifics. The majority of the snakes that had gathered around them seemed to be very angry at him for his lack of respect, even though neither Yoroi, nor the Hakuja Sennin saw it this way.
"You meeting with Shakreido was no coincidence, young one. A long time ago, I had a prophecy about him meeting a kid that concealed his white core. This kid would defeat him in a fight and become the next Sage in time. It is for this reason that Shakreido decided to become your personal summon, even though he is of royal blood" the elder snake explained, trying to make everything clear to Yoroi, even though he made some matters even worse. It explained next to nothing for Yoroi, who was still puzzling the pieces he had been given together, trying his best to figure out how this creature could know all of that. Not being the kind of person that believed in prophecies of any kind, it all seemed like a load of bull. On the other hand, this old bag of bones did know a lot about him, things even Shakreido did not know a whole lot about. In a world where people could shoot fire from their mouth, was it really that far fetched to believe that people could actually see the future?

"Your confusion is understandable, but keep in mind that we chose you to be the only person in the world that is allowed to become a Sage like myself. I have the ability to look into the future, though I can also view open areas of the village and the world above from time to time. As such, I know about Ophelia, Kimiko and Viera, they are people you want to protect. In the future, there will be a war, though I do not have the clarity to tell you when it will take place or who your enemies will be. Just know this, if you wish to gain more power for yourself to protect your friends and family, then becoming a Sage is the right thing to do". It seemed like it was in fact the smart thing to do, though Yoroi could not help but think that there were some darker sides to this deal, things that were being kept hidden from him, maybe without realizing it, though the largest probability was that this was done on purpose. One way or another, Yoroi was going to figure out what it was that these creatures were not telling him. Maybe they believed that he would not be able to see that there was something they were not mentioning during all of this.
"You make a lot of compelling arguments, though you failed to explain why you want to have a human sage, or why that has to be me. The reasons you gave me are more then enough to accept a normal offer, though I have a feeling that this is not one of those "normal" ones. I am inclined to do as you say and become your student, though I want you to be completely honest with me and tell me what people are keeping from me, right now", Yoroi said in a demanding tone of voice. Again, the rabble was starting to hiss and talk among one another, becoming more and more certain of the fact that Yoroi lacked manners. The others did not matter to Yoroi, for his eyes were locked on the white serpent that sat in his throne, though he was not capable of telling whether it was amused or pissed off about Yoroi's claim. Still, he would not be accepting any of the things offered to him until he got to hear what they had kept from him up to this point. He knew that he was not asking in a respectful way, though he also knew that no one would try to harm him, seeing as they needed him for something. Besides, if they did, he would just have to take out as many as possible before they managed to pin him down, which, due to their lack of limbs, might be fairly simple.
"You are sharp, all the more reason for picking you as my student. Unlike the reputation our race has with your kind, I make a habit out of honesty, seeing as I do not want to tie you into something you have not agreed to. As such, the catch about all of this is that you will need to aid us in case our community is attacked. With the war on your doorstep, chances are that people will come to seek us out too, trying to tame my people and use them as instruments of war. For that reason, we need someone like you, someone who treats us as equals. The previous sage died during the last great war, and now that another seems to be coming to the world of Shinobi, a new sage is required in order to maintain the balance of power between the three great villages. You need to at least try to maintain this balance, even though the previous sage could not. That is why we kept this from you at first, but you can understand why, can't you?" the great sage claimed in a tone that seemed quite sincere. If this was truly the only thing that stood in the way of free power, then the snakes had themselves a deal. If the power of a Sage was really as great as they made it out to be, then he would just have to go with what they wanted him to do, figuring it was no different from his own objectives.
"If that is the only catch, then I accept your offer. For me, it seems only natural to want to defend my home and my family, and even though we are not of the same species, I can tell that the same thing goes for you. When you wish to start the training, let me know through Shakreido and I will get here as soon as possible... Sensei" Yoroi said, letting the wise old snake and his pose know that he would be going with what he had planned for him. Taking a bow before the sage, he nodded in return, letting Yoroi know that he was allowed to take his leave. Turning his back towards the white snake sage, he walked over to Shakreido, who seemed quite pleased with how things turned out. Placing his palm on Shakreido's back, the two disappeared in a puff of smoke, returning to the monastery.
