Mission Title: The Missing Fiancé Mission Type: Generic Mission Location: Fire Country Shinobi Requirement: Genin+ Mission Rank: C Mission Objective: A woman's fiance is a day late arriving home from his fishing trip and she is becoming very worried. She believes he is lost, for he even admits he is not very good with maps nor fishing. You are to look for this fisherman. He owns a small white boat with a yellow stripe across it and can be seen wearing grey overalls and a blue hat with an orange star on it. Bring him back to his worried fiance. Min Post Count: 4
It was bright early morning and Ogatami had just got out of bed. The last of his days within the village had finally arrived. Usually there emptiness of a room would give indication that one was moving, however, in Ogatami's case it was important that he tried to keep everything as normal as possible. It wasn't like he was moving to another location within the village, he was actually abandoning the village itself. The last thing he wanted to do was raise any kind of suspician, especially since he was a Jinchuriki, the prize weapon of Konoha. So for the last week or so since making his decision, he's been playing it chill. One way he was doing this was still performing missions within the village until the assigned date of his departure was near. That way, he'd still appear like the same old village-loving Ogatami, instead of the young avenger that he actually changed into.
There was no need to gear up, not with this simple-minded assignment. Essentially, it was just a retrieval mission on a missing man near the harbor area, exactly where Ogatami fought his cousin, Toku, over a month ago. He simply didn't feel the need to get all flashy for this assignment, even though it was etiquette for a shinobi to be in fully prepared no matter how negligible the assignment was. It was very tropical outside, and the walk to the harbor was extensive, Ogatami's would be damned if he would die from a stroke because of wearing heavy armor that he didn't even need. So instead, he simply wore a light purple shirt and some black carbo pants, equipped with some throwing weapons in the pockets. For personal reasons, he also harnessed Sunaya's katana on him as well. It was a nice weapon to have around, and it possessed some residual energy from his friend as well that comforted him, especially during these trying times.
He promptly left his apartment and sashayed through the village past the gates. Some people gave him shout outs and hearty hellos on the way, trying to converse with the loving kid that they once knew. Ogatami faked a smile and nodded his head towards most of them, while simply just giving the others cold shoulders. He didn't care, he hated the village. Every face he saw felt like another face of his clan members being taken away, it was sickening. He made it out of the gates without much hassle. The Guards were inquisitive as to why Ogatami had on such casual clothing when on a mission, but after hearing his excuse simply sighed at his response. "Genin..." They would both say in unison, which was true. D and C -ranked missions were simply inconsequential, most high officials didn't care if missions were done out of uniform, as long as the headband was worn, and it was performed within the country. |

| The walk to the harbor was both long and a little bittersweet. The flashbacks of fighting Toku was beginning to become annoying to the wandering boy, but he simply couldn't help it. It was such a life changing encounter, and if he hadn't have met his ominous-like cousin, he would have never learned the truth about his clan. As he walked, with the beaming sun pressed against his back, and the smell of salt water fuming within the area due to the heat, an interesting thought crossed his mind. Both Toku, and his mother, were members of Kirigakure's Yuki clan, the weilders of the Hyoton bloodline ability. This would make Ogatami half Yuki, but it never crossed his mind as to why he never inherited Ice Release until now, even though he is capable of using all five elements. Even under his studies, Ogatami never understood much about bloodline and mixed clan people, but he couldn't help but wonder: If he weren't a Jinchuriki, would he simply be a Yuki clansmen, and capable of using their bloodline?
Ogatami passed through the harbor area and knocked on the door of the wife to the missing man. The woman answered excitingly, swinging the door wide open which startled Ogatami. The joyous look on her face diminished to one of a lesser extent, she was probably hoping he was her husband he just returned. "Oh, hello." She greeted from the doorway. Ogatami smirked at her and tilted his head, still carefree of the matter, this was simply a ryo-run for him. "Which way did your husband go?" He asked her bluntly. The woman was taken back, as if expecting a standardized greeting from the little Konoha boy. She pointed towards a direction in the sea, and Ogatami thanked her before proceeding onto the beach sand towards the ocean. The woman came out the house and trailed him on the beach, her body fat and loose fitted gown giggling with each step. "Wait, don't you need my help?" She yelled towards the boy. Ogatami stood at the base of the water barefoot while letting the tide wash his feet. "No." He replied back, still in his blunt tone. He paid no attention to the woman who was now standing behind him, and simply meditated, honing on the forces of nature at work.
He drew natural energy from the ocean before him, harnessing its great power and using it to extend his sensory even further. He bonded with the area on such a spiritual level it was unspeakable. From the tides of the ocean to the sea salt air that he breathed was now an extension of him. Now that the connection was strong enough to allow him to pick up chakra signatures, Ogatami had to strain a little more will power in order to do so. If this man was lost in the water, chances are he was far out of Ogatami's natural sensory range. However, the young psychic boy was still capable of joining with the ocean spirit and asking for guidance, instead of pin point the husband with his own sensory. Whispers from the water started to come with the tide, and from Ogatami's eyes, the water from the ocean began to light up in a ghostly display. The water granted him their eyes, and like a lucid dream, guided Ogatami to a stranded boat a few miles off the coast, being approached by a school of flying piranhas. |

| "Your husband is about to be in for it." He laughed, the woman starting to wail at his response at the thought. "Oh quiet, I can make it in time, I'll be right back." He said confidently while stepping on the water. As soon as he took another step on the water's surface, Ogatami was off. Classic shinobi speed at its finest, Ogatami zipped through the water creating a long trail of splashes and ripples behind him. The cool water from the coast felt soothing against his tanning skin. His once chestnut brown tone became ebony, just from the walk to the harbor alone. His now straightened wet hair swayed from side to side in a wavy motion, which Ogatami thought to appear like a tail to those who had saw him flickering through the water. The husband was now in sensory range of Ogatami, along with the school of flesh eating fish that was now under the boat. Shark Piranhas, a deadly species of fish indigenous to the waters between both Konoha, and Kiri, that were known to attack traveling boats, and even shinobi, who passed their territory that they used as a mating ground. They were the size of fists and possessed huge mouths and teeth, not the friendliest nemos in the sea undoubtedly.
Ogatami reached the mans stationed white boat and left onto it just before the first piranha struck from the water. With excellent style and grace, Ogatami withdrew his katana from his sheath with his right hand, and pinned the unsuspecting man on the ground with his left, all after initially flipping over him. The man slammed against the floor, and whilst still midair, Ogatami slashed the creature with his blade, dissecting it while both halves went back into the water. These creatures were no in close proximity to the young sensor, and thus Ogatami was more efficient in tracking their movements even though they were underwater. The piranhas then started to come at full force, possibly due to seeing one of their own being killed and being sent right back into the water. Ogatami took a intense stance with his blade and opened his eyes. The speed at which he sliced the piranhas was impressive. The once plentiful myriad of animals splattered on the ships ground in pieces, and not a single slit of blood staining Ogatami's blade.
After the onslaught ceased, Ogatami looked back at the man and stretched, as if getting done a simple morning exercise. "Welp, there's your fish. Guess you're done for today." He said cleverly, while having a seat across from the man. "Thank you." He voiced in a shaken tone, still scared from the animal attack. He remained in the corner of the boat with both legs pinned against his chest, his arms trembling as he looked at the sliced corpses of the fish. After a few minutes granted to him by Ogatami, he finally settled down, and eventually started to pick up the fish Ogatami sliced. "You know, this is some good work. You ever think of becoming a samurai or something kid?" The question made crackle, no one has ever complimented him on his weapon handling before, he always thought he was bad at it. "Not really, but who knows? Alright, let's get back to your wife, I have better things I could be doing." Ogatami said coldly. The man raised an eyebrow and proceeded to fix his engine. After some repeated trial and errors, it started once more, and Ogatami enjoyed his ride back to the shore while enjoying some delightful sushi. |

| Once they reached shore, the wife ran up to the husband not a moment after he set foot on the sand. They embraced each other in what seemed like hours to Ogatami. He briskly got up and leaped off the boat, not wanting to be an audience to such a pathetic display of affection between the two middle aged adults. He landed on a spot in the sand facing away from the couple, spectating the forest area by the shore as if communing with the tropical plants that occupied it. The woman then ran up to him from behind, thinking that she would be able to exchange the same welcome to Ogatami as she did her husband. But soon realized that what she thought was the young Genin, was simply a water clone he quickly placed when he heard her trotting towards him. She smacked the clone and it exploded in a pool of water, dousing her in salt water from the sea and as well as embarrassing her in the process. "That won't be necessary." The real Ogatami said while leaning against the boat with his arms crossed. He walked up to the man and slapped a fish on his bare chest, before proceeding past him as if leaving the scene.
"Hey, wait!" Cried the man behind Ogatami. The purple eyed boy turned around slowly with his hands in his pockets. The man was behind him with a serious look on his face, as if about to ask something that would be life changing. "I know about your gift, Ogatami. There are rumors about your skill. I wanted to know, if, you would mind pointing me to a potential current in the ocean that would lead me on a safe route to Cha no Kuni? There's a fishing village just off the northern coast that I'm trying to move my wife and I to." He asked the gifted boy. Ogatami eyes glistened at the question like the rare jewels that they were. The man became fearful as a huge demonic smile formed on Ogatami's face, as if he discovered a pot of gold. All this time, Ogatami was uncaring of the affairs of the man and why he was in the middle of the ocean in the first place. But now, after hearing that he was looking for a safe route to Tea Country, he was more than intrigued in aiding him in doing so. Chi no Kuni was the country Ogatami's grandfather, Jeketsu, told him to go once he deflected from the village. Now, on a silver platter, a man who was capable of handling a boat and owed Ogatami a debt, was standing right in front of him.
What made all this more interesting, was the fact that Ogatami was the only individual in Konoha that could do such a thing. There was no technique, nor skill, within the country that would allow them to connect with the spirits of the ocean like Ogatami could. He could sense even the slightest weather changes weeks in advance, and on more than one occasion, has used his ability to navigate through secret parts of the Fire Country. So doing the same with the ocean current would be no different. It was funny, however, that the very power that Konoha tried to steal from him, would be the very one he uses to flee from right under their nose. It was the perfect escape plan, Nature, and Destiny, was surely on his side. "Sure, I can help you. How about we leave tomorrow morning, I have to run a errand to Tea Country anyway. However, I have to ask, what do yo want to sneak to Chi no Kuni anyway, instead of just using the village's transportation system?" The boy asked. The man looked down, hestitant to answer the question. "You have your reasons, and I have mine." He said in a dark tone. This time, Ogatami's eyebrow raised. "Fair enough, I'll meet you here in three days, same time. I'll be the spirit that guides us, and you be the body that moves us." He said while strolling off. The man looked at the back of Ogatami and smiled, along with his wife. For whatever reason they had, they wanted to leave the village too, and after years of trying, they finally found the perfect someone to aid them.
