Few days.

During the past few weeks, I've been busy with moving and getting settled in. There were a lot of landlord-tenant communication problems, so on my move-in day, the previous tenant had not moved out yet, so I had to take all my belongings to a hotel for the time being. I ended up getting legal help, and was reimbursed for the hotel and associated fees, and now I'm in the house, still trying to get settled.

For the rest of this week, I have a lot of medical work to get done (it's check-up season folks) as well as school registration. Now that the living situation is all figured out, I think I'll be fine to return at the end of this week. See you in a few days~

More problems arose - the landlord "accidentally" rented the room out to me and another person. So the day after I settled into the room, another girl came in with all her stuff. Since she paid her deposit literally 2 hours before I did, the landlord gave her the room, and gave me a 6 hour notice to move out. He refunded me for the deposit but refused to return my first month's rent. I called my parents and they drove for 4 hours to pick me up (while I packed everything up again) and now I'm back home and trying to get a lawyer to get my money back plus extra fees. And looking for another place to live - and this time, I'm hiring a real estate agent.

Glad to hear it, because that guy sounds like a complete asshole. If that guy thought he could just legally keep that money must mean that he is in some way retarded, he just has to be.

Thought I would be able to finally enjoy my summer after this whole ordeal, but another problem arose and I'll need to go to court again. The girl who is living in what should have been my room complained to the landlord that the bed frame was broken when she moved in and told him to ask me if I was the one responsible. During the 6 hours I was in the room, the bed frame was perfectly fine, and it stayed that way when I packed up and moved out. If anything, she is the one responsible. It wasn't even an old bed frame - all of the furnishings were brand new, so it would've taken some strong manpower to break something like that.
