Walking through the streets of Konohagakure, Yoroi had just finished up his last mission by helping a couple of librarians work out a new shipment of books. In the library, he had been reading up on the entire concept of natural chakra and the power that was known as being a Sage. Just like before, it was a very blurry concept, having only learned that which the one who wrote the book had managed to figure out, this not being as much as he had originally hoped. The only thing he had really been able to pick up on was that a sage somehow had the ability to draw the energy from nature itself into their own body, adding it to their own chakra pool and strengthening their every move, turning already powerful ninjutsu into forces of nature. To think that such a thing was possible was more than interesting, seeing as it was something he was hoping to be capable of soon too. Some day, he hoped to become a powerful sage that could protect his loved ones and his village from whoever it was that might try to lay a finger on them.
It was something that had been promised to him, something he would be turned into by the denizens of the Ryuchi caverns. Wondering when exactly this training would be taking place, he just kept moving aimlessly through the streets. Sometimes, having no real destination was nice, seeing as Yoroi was currently free from any actual missions of any kind. Yugakure was a bit safer and further with their development of medicinal herbs thanks to his aid, which had earned him a temporary vacation of sorts. On his stroll through the village, he suddenly noticed that someone was running towards him in a hurry, his skeletal structure already starting to itch a bit. Whenever his instincts started to act up, his bones started itching, as if ready to engage when needed. It was not uncommon for Yoroi to feel like this when someone he did not know rapidly approached him. When the feeling passed, he started thinking about what it could possibly be that she needed at this hour. Most people came to someone in the morning or the afternoon, but not during the evening, which was why he was slightly on guard.
As she stopped running, it seemed that she had thought of him as a Shinobi, rather than just another civilian. Being very hard to follow, she just kept talking and talking and talking about how her fiance had gone missing. Even though she was probably just overreacting, he knew all too well what it was like to be worried about a fiance because of his sister Kimiko. She was getting married soon too, and if her fiance suddenly went missing, she would most certainly start running around like a headless chicken too. Releasing a deep sigh, he grabbed the woman by the shoulder and looked deep into her eyes with his stoic expression, silencing the woman on the spot. "I'll help you, so please take a moment to catch your breath. Once you've done that much, please explain the story to me again so I can actually do my best to help you, okay?" Yoroi asked her, though it was more of a command. Doing exactly as he had hoped it would, his approach had managed to calm the woman down as bit as she started telling the same story again, this time being less hard to follow.

Having absorbed the full story, he told the woman not to worry about it too much, that he would do his best to find and retrieve her fiance. Being slightly more at ease now, Yoroi told the woman to return home and go about her business, seeing as her fiance would be there shortly. Sending her on her way, he also started his new assignment to find and bring her missing fiance back home. If it turned out that he was just fishing in peace, Yoroi would probably keep his head under water for a good minute as punishment. It was obviously just an inside joke, though no man should act like this when he was about to get married. The woman he had just sent home was genuinely upset about not knowing the whereabouts of her soon to be husband, which was something he could understand well. If he had left in the morning and returned in the afternoon, there would be no reason for concern. When someone left in the morning and was not back yet during the evening when all said person would do was to go fishing, that was when he understood the reasons, when he understood exactly why this woman was so concerned.
Passing through the front gate of the village, he now had a place where he should start looking for the guy. Going by the intel he had received, the man was known for his love for fishing, having gone out this morning to catch a couple of big ones in a nearby bay. Truth be told, Yoroi did not like open water at all, not being able to see the bottom of it giving him some bad vibes. Not just that, but the fact that people did not know what was out there in the ocean was just making his anxiety worse. Going by the size of his snake Shakreido, the size of these oceanic creatures was almost immeasurable, both because they were hidden beneath the surface of mostly uncharted waters, as well as being omnivores or predatory creatures, killing those who would try to put them in an encyclopedia. No, it was quite well known that Yoroi was not a big fan of open waters, so this in itself was already a big step for him. Ever since he was a child, he had learned to avoid salt water, so he never really saw the ocean up close, just heard the stories. Even though he had just left the village, he was already holding his fingers crossed in hopes of not having to enter open water.
As he walked down the road that would take him to the bay, he could only imagine what Kimiko would do if her fiance would suddenly disappear. He had seen how she had beaten herself up over his departure, which was something that truly pained him even to this day. As such, he could only imagine how much it would hurt her if Toshiro was to somehow disappear one day. Picking up the pace, there was no reason for him to ponder on this any longer, as long as he safely retrieved the fisherman. Having nothing on him outside of his casual clothing, there was not really anything he needed that could not be made through Ninjutsu, at least that was what Yoroi thought when he left. He was right, for everything ranging from projectiles to bladed weaponry could be made from bone in mere seconds. Truly, the kind of clothing he was wearing did not matter much at all, for his true power was hidden beneath his flesh, capable of coming out whenever he needed it to be there as an offensive tool or a defensive shield.

At the of the road, he could look down the cliff and see that which he did not enjoy at all. A small beach with a massive basin that ran out into the sea or ocean or whatever it was. It did not matter a whole lot to him, all he really cared for now was retrieving this fisherman and returning him to his soon to be wife. Noticing a small boat down below, it seemed that it was having trouble, though Yoroi could not tell what was the cause of it. It did however mean that he had to get closer to see what the problem was, much to his distaste. Descending down from the top of the cliff into the bay, he suddenly heard the sound of crashing waves from the direction of the ship. When he looked over there to see what was causing it, his eyes widened at the sight of a massive and dark tail that had risen from the water, no doubt trying to destroy the boat and feed on those inside. Taking his coat and dropping it in the sand, he exposed his chest so that his Shikotsumyaku would not rip his clothes to shreds when released. Setting his sights on the large tail, the bones in his shoulders started twitching and working on his desired weaponry as he shot towards the creature and the ship.
Dashing across the water's surface, bones protruded from his shoulder, his hands grabbing hold of them and pulling out two bone shaped blades. Using his lightning release to increase the cutting power of his blades, he dashed towards the massive tail. In a flurry of quick slices, he made several deep cuts in it, causing it to cringe in pain. Tossing one lightning enhanced blade at the submerging tail, he would leave his mark on this creature that seemed to think humans were food. Even though this big creature was above the average human on the food chain, Yoroi was not going to go back to the village with news of the woman's fiance having passed away. Setting foot on board, he found the man and a few of his fellow fishermen hiding below deck. Not expecting him to be the one that would set foot upon their ship. In fact, it seemed like these men had already given up hope on ever receiving help at all. Telling the men that he had taken care of the monster by almost cutting off it's tail, he asked them to start the engine and get their asses home, only to be cut off mid sentence.
"What are you talking about kid, that wasn't a tail, that was a tentacle. There is a massive octopus beneath this ship, a hungry one at that. It will not be gone for long, it will be back to devour us all!"
Looking at the man like he was crazy, he figured that he was the one that was supposed to be getting married soon. The news of this creature being an octopus more or less startled Yoroi for a moment, his fears just becoming real. The ocean showed another one of it's ugly creatures to test Yoroi, though Yoroi was ready to deal with it. He had a trump card that was more than eager to show itself and finish the fight once it started. As it turned out, the men had turned off the ships engine in hopes of letting the creature think that there was no one on board, though this particular kind of animal was known for it's wits, obviously not being impressed by this tactic. Turning his attention towards the men, he figured that they would not be in any shape to just up and leave with this creature chasing them, meaning he had to go up there and put a stop to this creature and it's advances. "Well, I guess i'll just have to wait until the bastard shows itself again..." Yoroi said as he walked back up the stairs.

As if the creature had some form of sensory, the moment Yoroi set foot on deck, it's tentacles rose from the water and were thrashing. With his remaining sword, he defended himself against every incoming attack, slicing small pieces of flesh away whenever one of the tentacles got too close for comfort. Even though his attacks did nothing more to it than sting a bit, the octopus could not pinpoint Yoroi for a finishing hit. Several meters away from the boat, the large beast emerged from the water, looking at the men on the boat with it's black eyes. Now that the beast showed it's large head and body, it would be easier to estimate what he should do to really lay some hits on the aggressive beast. It was time for Yoroi to use his trump card, rapidly forming hand seals while keeping his eyes locked on the creature. Placing his hand on the deck of the ship, the fishermen stood there looking at what they thought would be an epic ninjutsu, though nothing seemed to happen. Again, it seemed like they had given up on their hopes of survival, only to be shaken up by tall waves that clashed against the ship as an equally massive bronze scaled serpent shot up from the water.
Lunging towards the large octopus, it's teeth connected with it's head, biting deep into it's squishy flesh. With it's immense strength, Shakreido lifted the creature from the water and used the length of it's body to send it flying on a crash course, aimed towards the rocky cliffs. With a loud crashing sound that seemed to mimic that of lightning resounding through the skies, the octopus was slammed into the rocks before it slowly sank back into the water. Much to their surprise, the beast was not done with his attack yet, rapidly dashing through the water in an attempt to take down the snake along with the ship. In a few flashy moves, Yoroi made his way to the head of his snake, Shakreido. At this point, Shakreido knew exactly what to do as it started firing a blast of water from his gullet, aimed for the octopus. Following up on this, Yoroi used his Raiton ninjutsu to add some shock to the attack, electrocuting the large create, which was now thrashing in the water. Having met it's match, the octopus fully submerged itself, not showing itself for several minutes after that point. With the massive creature sent back to the depths from which it came, Shakreido hissed loudly in the aftermath of his victory, Yoroi triumphantly standing on top of it's head.
Making sure that the beast would not be coming back any time soon, Shakreido lowered it's head, allowing Yoroi to jump off and gently land on top of the fishing-boat. Ordering the men to fire up the engine, it seemed that the fishermen had gotten their will to live back now that the creature had left. As it turned out, they had quite a bit of fish on board, offering to cook up some of it for him in celebration of victory, followed up by some compensation money. "You don't owe me any payment, just make sure you get your ass home to your wife, she is very worried about you. That said, I would not mind having some nicely cooked fish treats" Yoroi said, forming the hand seals that would send Shakreido away in a puff of smoke. Returning grateful gestures, the ship set sail for the harbor again. Even though he did not like open water at all, Yoroi figured that sticking with the ship would get him home just as fast as walking through the foliage would. Besides, this way, he would be able to watch for the return of the octopus, if it actually had the balls to come back up and get it's ass kicked again. Eating fried fish while on his way back to the village, he could genuinely say that his day had been quite rewarding.
