The sun’s natural orange color started to peek itself across the edge of the world for the first time in exactly 12 hours, indicating that sun-set was making its way around the corner and making its usual 12 hour visit to the world. A lot of random wild animals started coming to life at the site of natural light and was getting ready to begin their day which could include getting some exercise, catching their meal(s) of the day, a combination of both, or anything else that would go on to the nature of birds, rodents, sea creatures and insects.

Setting the scenario over to the more central part of the day, there was a library that was due to open in about the next two hours from the current time, Great Repository to be exact, the library with a vast knowledge of everything that Sunagakure has obtained that is open to the general public, well most of it at least. Though the three winged library isn’t really the size of those library you see in some of the other great country, it still holds its own in terms of being of great value in learning new things and was quite frankly Shadow’s favorite place to be.

Speaking of which, the young Jounin was leaning on a wall on the right side of the main entrance with his right foot crossed over his left one. He also has his right hand in his right pocket as his left hand was reading his “Make Out Paradise: The Clean Version”, yet another of the collection of books that Shadow’s older brother thought just might “lighten up his mood” though in all reality, Shadow did read it but he still reads it with the same neutral monotone face, not even cracking a smile on the funniest or interesting parts and there was absolutely no telling whether he even liked the book even though he was on the 323rd page of the 371 paged book.

Shadow took a quick moment to let the direction of his pupils trail from the book and into the sky to see the time in his own fashion. ‘It’s almost time.’ He thought to himself, referring to the scheduled arrival of the three Gennin he was assigned recently set at 6:30 on the dot, no sooner and no later. Being that he was around the age of an average Gennin himself, Shadow didn’t know exactly how they were going to react to his appearance, especially considering the fact that he not only showed his age in his natural look, but his attire also spoke in a language for people his age.

Shadow thought about it for a second, but then shrugged it off. He was never the one to care too much about other people’s approvals or opinions anyways so it didn’t seem to matter too much. What did matter was the strength a potential the Gennin had stored in themselves and if he was going to be able to see them. Shadow had never gotten the “privilege”, depends on your view on the situation, of having his own team as a Gennin so he wasn’t well versed in this section of duty, that partially required social knowledge so in all honesty this might be a challenge for him as well as the three ninja set to arrive in about 10 minutes.

Shadow contemplated this as he yawned a bit before going back to his book. ‘Hopefully, they’ll pass their first test at least.’ Because whether they knew it or not, they were going to be tested to evaluate just what their status in this team will be.

Initake was in a rush. So much to do, so little time. he had to keep track of his priorities better. It was 5:45 and he had things to do. He had yet to go to the store to retrieve the things he needs, such as food, and some new curtains, for he and one of his childhood friends of the same clan sort of... ripped them to shreds. So, he had to act quickly.

This is a time where being an Inuzuka comes in handy. Though I have not quite mastered my techniques by any means, I know that the most useful ones are the easiest, and I can do those no problem. He transformed into a dog himself, and began sprinting as fast as his now smaller body would allow. As he arrived at the marketplace, nearly 5 miles away, it was almost 6:10. He had to double time back after he got his things back. He jumped on a messenger bird, which flew past his home on the way to the Administration Building. As it flew over about a block away from his house, he jumped, landing safely at the bottom, but hurting his ankles.

He ran into the house, human now, and set dow the things on the table, and set up the fresh purple curtains. He glanced at the clock. 6:26. OH S**T! I HAVE TO BE AT THE LIBRARY IN 5 MINUTES, NOT EVEN! Good thing it was only a few blocks away! Doing the same thing as on the way to the marketplace, he arrived at the library at 6:29. He went to the north wing, as he was told, and sprinted through the wing looking for a man looking like a jounin, with the atire, and appearance to match. All he saw was a boy about his age.

"Excuse me, sir. Have you seen a man around here by the name of Shadow? He is a jounin, and my team leader, and I was told to meet him here." The clock struck 6:30.

A low snoring could be heard from one of the sections in the library, as the raven haired girl lay sleeping up against a wall with a book covering her face. Mana had skipped sleeping that night, to be sure she would be on time at the library. So like an idiot, she had arrived there around 4:00 and had to wait -forever-, or at least she had felt like she had waited for an eternity when just 6 minutes had passed. She had ended up trying to read a random book she had found, but ended up falling asleep instead. Momo, her pet ferret, lay sleeping on her head also after having very sneakily followed her to the library and taken the chance when it saw it's owner sleeping. Mana's leg twitched in her sleep, making the ferret yawn and turn on it's back as it's legs started twitching also in it's sleep. they seemed very peaceful there together, and very alike as they both snored at almost the same level and kept twitching and making weird sleeping sounds.

The voice of the Initake as he spoke to Shadow somehow managed to enter her dreams though, making the sleeping girl slowly open her eyes before she scrambled up on her feet and dropped the book down. "WHAT!? WAIT I'M UP!" She looked around in confusion while rubbing her eyes. What the heck...where am I? Momo, which had to cling to her hair so it wouldn't fall down, squealed in surprise and protest making Mana jump slightly before frowning. "Momo! I told you to stay at home you furball!" She reached up to her head and took him gently in her hands and held the ferret in front of her. "I can't play with you now, I'm meeting my teammates and have to probably do some boring stuff -all- day." Just by talking about that made her think about her comfy bed with sorrow. I should've just skipped this .... Her voice was loud enough to reach the other persons that were in the library, seeing that Mana rarely ever thought about lowering her voice when talking.

Wait ... what was it that woke me up anyways? Looking to her right, she finally noticed the two boys that were standing there now. Oh right.... wasn't I supposed to meet my team around this time? She walked quickly to them, while trying to fix her outfit and her sleep ruffled hair. "Ummm hey there. Are you with me in team?" She wiped quickly with her sleeve some drool that was on her chin and glared again at Momo which was now on her shoulder after it had climbed up her arm. "Where is our sensei? Aren't important dudes like him supposed to be on time?" Her sentence almost got drowned by the loud growling of her stomach, making the young girl's eye twitch. Oh maaan I'm hungry.... Her amber eyes lit up as she offered both the boys a big smile while leaning closer to them. "Hey, I don't suppose you have any food on you?"

Early to bed.. early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. Izumi was no man... but if it was good enough for a man, it was beneath her. She was more the type to burn the candle at both ends and then lounge languidly in the afternoon to get back her strength. It would be no surprise to anyone that knew her that she was out all night and wouldn't return till who knew when. That would be a problem for the messenger who was tasked to deliver her new assignment. The strip was a rather big area to search for one girl who might not even be there. All bets were off on delivering the message. It would certainly get to her eventually... but who knew when that might be?

The privacy of the guests on the strip were considered to be paramount by the people running such establishments. Often guests wished not to be disturbed, which made for an infrastructure where the tracking of such guests was loose at best... and even if you could track them via the records of a hotel, those records weren't open to the public. Without the kage's seal on a message as urgent, there was no need for them to compromise the privacy of such a client. The best they could do was to inform such a person of a message having arrived.. that was if they happened to be a guest at the hotel at all, which was very hard to get confirmed in itself.

While the poor fellow darted from hotel to hotel trying to track down a mere missing genin, Izumi was enjoying royal treatment, courtesy of some gentleman she barely knew the name of. The traveling nature of business men made them hopeful. They could have their fun and then move on without having to continue to pay for the luxuries of the women they intended to bed or worse. Izumi understood their motives and methods. She knew that they would spend to much at the slightest hint of getting what they so feverishly desired. She was very good at leading men on, hinting at what they could never have. It only stands to reason that she also gets nearly anything she wants as a result.

Getting a full body massage at such an early hour in the morning wasn't her usual routine, but she could hardly complain as firm hands released all the tension from her muscles, gliding atop her perfectly oiled skin. When her trip to bliss was interrupted momentarily by news of a message from some unknown ninja, she merely waved the hotel employee off with a grumble of, "In a bit..."

"As you wish Miss", was the response as her treatment continued. It would be only after she was good and done, rubbed from head to toe, that she would exit the spa area of the resort, retying her top on as she went. Upon arriving at the front desk the message was procured without need of any words. Moments later she was reading the contents of the message. It seemed she had missed it entirely, the sun already well above the horizon. The time was 9:00 AM. Oops.

She tossed the note into a nearby trashcan as she passed, on her way to order herself room service. "Quite irresponsible to have a message delivered after the time one in requested to arrive at a place. The courier would seem to be in need of a reprimand.. such laziness. I've never had such bad service in my life.." she remarked wholly to herself as she strode down the hall.

Izumi had a rather short memory. She had been in this land but months, but lived so enveloped by it's ways that one might have thought she was born into the lands upper crust. Perhaps she would feel better about the delinquent messenger after a bite to eat though. Surely her new jounin would be as enraged about the tardy message as she was. It seemed good help was harder and harder to find these days...

Shadow continuously looked around in the direction of the sun, which was being covered by the pretty thick clouds, protecting his eyesight from being damaged in any way as he checked the time in his own way, despite the digital typed watch that was currently wrapped around his left wrist right under the sleeve of his second shirt. Shadow preferred to check the time this way in order to keep himself fresh and never get rusty in his timely attuned mindset just in case a situation made itself known that could put his life on the line and this skill could just be the on saving. Of course that was speaking in the worst case scenario but then again, what shinobi didn’t?

Once the slowly moving cloud took its time moving away from the sun, Shadow started to place his hand right above his forehead so that his palm was directed towards the floor in order to be able to get a clear look at the sky, from the looks of things it seemed like the Gennin would have just around a minute and thirty seconds before they would need to be here and they could start on their introductions then begin on the real ninja stuff.

Just as Shadow was catching a train of thought, it was completely halted by someone with not too much of a difference in age based on appearance coming towards him in seemingly a rush. The boy would then go over to Shadow and ask him if he’s seen anyone by that name. Shadow simply looked onto the point with halfway the same emotionless face that he’s always had but also halfway a face that was hard to convert into words but could probably be spelled out in mostly confusion with a slight hint of irritation, but then again, Shadow as a hard book to read.

Shadow would just simply yawn as he started to cross his arms. The sound of a feminine voice started to ring in his ear before he had a real chance to respond as well as footsteps coming along the library. The voice spoke as if someone was with her but as it stands, there was only one set of footsteps coming along. At first, Shadow had the opinion that this woman was clinically insane but thought of a better case scenario and maybe her “companion” wasn’t exactly walking or just light on their feet. That could be it…

As soon as she asked her own question, “No, I do not…”.Shadow took it upon himself to look at the watch on his wrist, a second later, the watch changed to “6:31” It seems that she was able to make it on time as well. This could prove to work well with this team as one seemed to be incredibly motivated, which makes him energetic and the other seemed quite positive, which usually made her lucky in a way, a trait that all shinobi needed every now and then, even with enough skill to match it up.

Shadow titled his head once more as he looked up onto the sky, with his hand above his forehead. There was still one more Gennin to meet, she went by the name of Kimura Izumi A.k.a. The Suna Sapper, who apparently had a thing for “perverted” and older men that had a lot of cash swimming around in their pockets, which would usually become empty and dry once she was through with them. Yes, Shadow did quite his homework on his students before starting this potential fiasco as a means of creating a set of events that could really make these Gennin, or break them depending on their actions. But now wasn’t the time for that, now was the time for knowing exactly who he was dealing with personally.

He looked onto both of the ones that were set to meet with him here and cleared his throat a bit. “First of all, I would prefer if you not call me “Shadow” at the moment. “The name is Kumori Harinezumi, call me whatever you’d like as long as it includes one of those words and is fairly appropriate. Since we’re basically met up save for one team member, let us begin by simply getting to know each other so simply state your name, skills, and anything about yourself to us.” Shadow knew that he felt as if he should probably wait on the other member but time was a virtue, he gave her a 12 hour notice and was set to meet it. He wasn’t angry or anything, he was actually rather calm. But he just wanted to get everything done in one day so that they could quickly be established as a proper team with real promise as opposed to just something thrown together.

As Initake saw, but mostly heard, a girl approaching, he turned, and saw her speaking. She approached the sensei, and asked a question. Apparently another team member. Now the team just had to wait for another one to show up. Initake sighed. He saw a book on the table, ad decided to pick it up. It was about his clan. The Inuzuka Clan History and Abiltiies, eh? Maybe later.

not the time or place to read that. well, it is the place, just not the time... He put the book back down on the table, as a person walked by.

"Excuse me, sir, is this yours?" The man's only reply was "Yes, thank you.", Initake nodded and began to

His thoughts of the book drifted off soon enough. He sat on a table, swinging his feet back and forth, as he often did when losing his patience. He had his arms folded, restricting himself from running around like an animal, which he was, technically, on the inside.

As his sensei asked to introduce themselves, regardless of the missing team member, he did so, for he did not want to piss off the sensei already.

"My name is Initake Inuzuka, and, obviously, I am a part of the Inuzuka clan. I have a dog, yes, but he was left at home today in my rush to get here. I am a genin, and specialize in Taijutsu, and I have ninjutsu as my backup. I can be a nice guy, or a complete and total douche, so don't cross me. K? Got it? All right. Next."

Initake looked up, down, sighed, and then rolled his eyes. He hated waiting for people, especially when is good for everyone. Believe it or not, underneath everything, he is a good person. He just doesn't like or wish to show it. And this person missing was already on his bad side.

Aawww no food... with a slight pouting expression, Mana drew back and stretched lazily as the boy kept talking. They hadn't confirmed yet if they were in her team, until then the next sentence shocked her so much that her eyes almost popped out of her head. Waaa?? -He's- our sensei? That guy that looked to be just about 4 years older than she was, at most?! Mana was close to facepalming as she realized just how she had been speaking to her team's sensei, probably giving a very bad first impression. Well he wasn't the first one to have the honors of that, she had that special thing to always have to blabber out anything that came to her mind without thinking it over first. While not really hiding it, she looked over her sensei with her amber eyes filled with curiosity. He's pretty young ... so he must be really strong to have that rank already. Momo on the other hand didn't find this situation very exciting while he blinked lazily after staring at these humans. The small animal yawned before he curled up into a ball on Mana's head, attempting to get more sleep. "Hey you! How about you go home already?" Mana flailed at her head, only to be ignored by the cute fluffball. "Aaah ..guess this wont work .." A small sigh escaped her while she listened to the others talking. Hmmm the Inuzuka clan... interesting. I like dogs .. nononono don't start daydreaming! Mana shook her head and kept listening, trying to look very focused before speaking up. "Well, my name is Mana Tomoko aaaand I use mainly taijutsu. I like food and sleep... and my pet Momo. I also have a twin sister, but we are fighting at the moment so we aren't talking. I strive to become really really strong!" Too much information? Ah whatever.

"What about you, Kumori-sensei?" While smiling her brightest, Mana wondered how the third member would be. Maybe that person also liked food and could share some! That thought got her really pumped up. This was a pretty early meeting though, and the young girl of the Tomoko clan stifled a yawn as she waited what would happen next. I wonder what Hana's team is like ... maybe I should check on it sometime... without her knowing of course! I'm not talking to her yet. It pained her though that they didn't talk. They had always been together and even sometimes finished each other's sentences, so when they had fights and didn't talk there was always like a big part of Mana's life was missing. The twin sisters were both stubborn though, so there might pass a few more days of them ignoring each other.

I wonder if we will have our first mission or something today! And I also want to know more about my sensei, and see what he can do! She was also determined to be hardworking and show everybody that she could do more than just tease people or do pranks. Although not many would take her for being one, then she was a person that liked to get stronger each passing day and she trained whenever she could. That was if she wasn't either sleeping somewhere or eating. She had tried to teach Momo some cool tricks, so he could defend himself but the ferret had just stared at her before trotting away, probably thinking it's owner was a moron.

Then you will be removed from Said Genin team and a replacement will be found for you. THis is the first genin team meeting. If you do not post for the meeting, you wil not be part of this team, nor take part in any of the missions. Nor will I recommend you be placed in another team for the fact that this will probably occur again. Essentially, you will remain a Genin, period. Its either post, or be removed. I am telling you this is not an optional meeting as Hugh has put me in charge of Suna while he is off site. Deal. Theres no rule, sure, but Im telling you that you cannot skip out.

Big hint there, I couldn't just show up for at least approximately three hours after this thread began. Even bigger hint for you, my character assumed it was already over because of how late she was, hence she wouldn't be going because it's over. Furthermore, this creates more role playing opportunities. I realize that it's not to your liking, but that's irrelevant and inconsequential. In the end you will do what you think you must, just realize that there are consequences to everyone's actions.]

The others can compensate time wise for you to show up, and you can also edit. Thats quite simple. Genin meetings, again, are not optional. Edit to make it work, cause to be honest, you are blowing a meeting off, the FIRST meeting. Which is first impression, etc.

As it is a ninja courier that would be bringing you the letter, or a bird (as most often shown in the series), stating that the letter was delivered that late is unreasonable, considering its ninjas. Its not hard to find someone, and it really wouldnt take 3 hours for a ninja to scour Suna and find a Genin. Especially since messengers are normall Chuunin with nothing better to do with their time.

Go right ahead, its doing nothing for you. A chuunin or a bird would have delivered the message in adequate time for you to make the meeting, not 3 hours late. Thats how Ninja's do things. Since its coming from a Ninja, and indirectly the Kazekage as it is your team, normal couriers would not be used.
