| The Red King VS The Green ShadowA warm delicate afternoon where the winds blows softly, and the birds are flying blissfully. It was on this day where it all came to an end, when one shinobi challenged anyone who dared to step forward for a sparring match that could decide if the shinobi was strong enough. However not knowing who would show up in this battle, well that was a special treat this certain person wanted, only waiting for that one trainer to take time out of his day to challenge the one who he calls himself the Red king. No one knows why he calls himself that, but this person is not all talk. He is willing to put his life on the line to prove to himself that he is growing at a fast rate and that nothing will ever push him down to the ground.
In this area that was very calm, with only a slight breeze to the east and since it was a little after noon, the weather had shown great promises. With this area surrounded by trees, a small grassy field, and a lake to view life greatest treasures. Two tree stand tall in the middle of the field, which was not a bother to the Red king, actually he didn't mind at all, while he was in the area leaning against the tree that was in the middle of the grassy fields closest to the lake. Smoking a cigarette relaxing to the calm breeze hitting his face softly while he exhales the smoke from his mouth. The feeling of the smoke leaving his mouth, like a fire that is still burning awaiting for the next spark to grow into a massive flame that devours everything in its path. The flame that burns deeply inside of this shinobi, about to expand that flame into a chaotic destruction that is about to happen.
In this world where shinobi live on peaceful lands, fighting everyday to engage in ways that seems unfair to others. However just maybe people can fight for the fun of it, and not kill each other like animals in a raging war to see which animal would come out on top. This is something that usually happens in this world and honestly who can blame the people who get involved in this thing people call living life. When people realize that there are more important things in this world that people should understand and cherish deeply.
In a few moments a shinobi will come out of the woods to challenge the Red king, and this challenge would become the start, and the end would be undecided until one person falls to the ground. This was something that boiled the blood of the shinobi named Hakai, Rukasu, the one true genin that would like to change the world into a better place. This is a place that will mark the destiny of the two shinobi that are about to battle. Hopefully this battle does not go straight to the death, however no one ever really knows what happens in the future. We will just have to wait and see what will happen in the world we all call home.
Rukasu, leaning by the tree, smoking his cigarette, while he waited patiently for that one person to show himself in this area so that they can begin their battle. It was time and now that he knew someone will show himself in a matter of minutes, and this excited the red-headed shinobi so much that he smiled.
"Bring it on, Whoever challenges me, the Red King of Kiri!" Rukasu said with his most excited face ever, as his eyes widen due to excitement. The battle was about to begin, who will face Hakai, Rukasu.

"Bring it on, whoever challenges me, the Red King of Kiri!"
Shikaruto heard the man's voice echo around the woods he was walking through, bouncing off the trees and disturbing his thoughts. He stopped in his tracks, listening, but heard no more. There was only silence. Intrigued, Shikaruto made his way towards the direction where he was sure the voice had come from, but the echoes of the woods could be confusing. He knew that only too well, coming from experience. After a few minutes of jogging towards the voice, he found himself at the tree line, the sunlight filtering through the foliage and lighting the clearing. Before he walked out and revealed himself, he analysed the scene in front of him, wanting to be prepared. There was only one person in the clearing, which was odd because it looked like such a stunning place to be. The lone person was leaning against a tree and smoking a cigarette. Even from where he was, Shikaruto could see the pale grey smoke drift gently in the wind as it dispersed into nothing.
The boy smoking the cigarette looked a little older than Shikaruto, maybe by a year or two. The first thing about him that struck Shikaruto was his shocking red hair. No wonder he calls himself the ‘Red King of Kiri’, even if it is a little conceited, Shikaruto thought to himself. The boy's hair spiked backwards and a long strand fell down on either side, framing his face. A silver hexagonal quartz crystal hung loosely from the boy’s left ear, swaying slightly in the wind. As he watched the boy for a little longer, Shikaruto noticed how his chin was narrow, the point of his noise and how his mouth was slightly too big in proportion to his face. Most of all, Shikaruto noticed the boy had yellow eyes, something he had never seen before. It reminded him of a cat. Above the teen's right eye was a small scar and Shikaruto wondered how he got it. His eyes were narrow and they looked distant as he seemed to be waiting for something... or someone.
The boy's outfit consisted of a white T-Shirt with a black leather, fur-hooded jacket pulled over it, unzipped, his Kirigakure no Sato forehead protected wrapped around the right sleeve. That explains why I don't recognise him, Shikaruto realised. Around the boy's neck were two necklaces of differing lengths and around his left wrist he wore a silver bracelet. Geez, this guy sure wears a lot of jewellery... Shikaruto thought to himself, wondering what, if anything, it all meant. The outfit was finished by black jeans, with a black belt a boots. It seemed too hot of a day to be wearing so much, especially black, a colour which absorbed heat.
Shikaruto’s eyes moved their focus from the boy to his surroundings, which were utterly beautiful. He was stood in a clearing in the woods, matted by thick yet tamed fresh green grass, nourished with wild flowers and littered by a few singular trees, but nothing to match the thick undergrowth Shikaruto was hiding in. Behind the tree the redhead was leaning on, was a vast lake, a small ripple rolling throughout it, reflecting the sunlight, which was shimmering on the surface of the water. There were a few concrete paths leading through the clearing, which suggested this place was frequently used by people. Shikaruto thought it looked like a great place for a picnic... or a spar.
Taking a deep breath, Shikaruto walked out from behind the safety of the trees and into the clearing, the sunlight washing over him like a spotlight, turning all attention towards him. He forced his feet to tug through the grass as he made his way towards his opponent. He lifted his arm over his eyes to protect his sight and partially conceal his face, as the sun dazzled him. Shikaruto much preferred to be in the comfort of the shadows. He wasn't as confident as he seemed. Once he had walked far enough into the clearing to make his intentions transparent, Shikaruto stopped, a few metres away from the Kiri shinobi. “I hear you’re looking for a challenge?” #challenge accepted #698 words |

| A great day it was while the area was still quiet and peaceful, it was just another one of those days. Still waiting on a challenge that was just still had yet to come. However from afar the shinobi heard the grass crackling, this he knew that someone was bound to show up.
He looked to his right with his eyes at the corner noticing someone coming out from the woods. When the person came out of the grass he notice that long black hair, a green shirt with long sleeves, with tan shorts. He also had sandals and this was an odd look from where Rukasu was standing, not knowing if this kid was a shinobi or not. However he was wearing his forehead protector but not around his forehead, instead around his waist. From where Rukasu was looking he could barely see where this guy was from so She knew that he had to guess and figure out if this guy is or isn't a shinobi. The guy was clearly walking towards Rukasu getting closer and closer. however he stops only a few meters away from Rukasu, “I hear you’re looking for a challenge?” The kid said as this intrigued the red king, turned his body to face the shinobi in front of him, looked at his new opponent that would hopefully entertain Rukasu in this new fight.
Flicking the cigarette off to the side, he got a closer look at the opponent, now noticing that he is from Konoha which would be something that would give this match a certain twist to it. Now all Rukasu had to do left was to talk and start the conversation that would eventually lead into the battle. So now it was all that was left, however this silence that stood between the two shinobi was only for a few moments and that was all that Rukasu needed to clear his mind in order to start this battle.
"Okay lets start by introducing ourselves. Yes I am looking for a challenge, However it would be fair if I knew who I am fighting and the same to you. I will start, My name is Hakai, Rukasu and I am from Kirigakure. That is all you will need to know about me, for now. What is your name, where you are from and what made you put in your mind to come to this place to challenge me?" Rukasu said as he stood there watching his new opponent that would most likely make this future battle exciting.
Now Rukasu had a few things in mind to start off in this battle however this was only a few out of many and he knew that he should start off with things that would help the red king win, or gain the advantage. Then Rukasu realized that his opponent would help him make the red king's first decision, so all there was left was to wait.

The Red King turned his body to face Shikaruto as the young Genin spoke and his yellow eyes immediately focused on Shikaruto as they began to analyse him, shifting readily up and down his body, their movements harsh and precise, which only added to his feline presence. The redhead flicked his cigarette onto the grass lazily as it had burned out, and the end went flying through the air before landing idly on the floor. Shikaruto panicked about whether the burning ember would set the grass alight, but decided it was incredibly improbable and he shouldn't waste his time worrying about it. His opponent seemed utterly careless, hence so should he be. He needed to be utterly focused if he were to win this spar. Some battles can be won before they've even begun. The readhead's eyes never left Shikaruto as a silence loomed between the two shinobi, which made Shikaruto feel uncomfortable. He never lost eye contact with the Kiri shinobi, as he didn’t want to be the first to look away. It just seemed... weak. Those yellow, cat-like eyes creeped Shikaruto out a little, but they were so intriguing and beautiful. They seemed distant again, as if the shinobi were thinking hard.
After a moment, he spoke for the first time in their encounter, breaking the silence between them. “Okay, let’s start by introducing ourselves." His tone was forceful and he spoke with conviction, his use a command giving him an authoritative air about him. "Yes, I am looking for a challenge. However, it would be fair if I know who I am fighting, and the same to you." His words and way with formality seemed to suggest to Shikaruto that he was a shinobi of honour, which immediately warmed Shikaruto's thoughts towards him. "I will start," Rukasu declared. "My name is Hakai, Rukasu and I am from Kirigakure. That is all you will need to know about me, for now. What is your name, where are you from and what made you put in your mind to come to this place to challenge me?” As Rukasu finished speaking, he began watching Shikaruto, obviously waiting for a response from him. He had given Shikaruto lots of information to address, for which his answers were already prepared. “That sounds fair. Konnichiwa, Rukasu-san of Kirigakure no Sato. I am Shikaruto from the Nara clan of Konohagakure no Sato." Shikaruto replied, matching his answers to the information Rukasu-san had asked for in the order he asked for it. He did not bow, which felt rude, but Rukasu had not done so for him, so he guessed it was acceptable. He wondered if Rukasu-san had heard of the Nara clan before, and whether their fame had yet reached his home land. "I came to this place because I was walking through the woods nearby when I heard your proclamation and it piqued my interest.”
That was all Shikaruto felt like sharing, as Rukasu-san was a complete stranger to him and he didn’t like to reveal anything about himself he didn’t have to. The less you reveal, the more people can wonder. Also, Rukasu had seemed hesitant to share much information with Shikaruto, so the same courtesy was extended between them and there was a definite atmosphere of the two keeping each other at arms' length. Shikaruto was hoping that his upcoming spar with Rukasu would help to establish a relationship between the two, as it couldn’t hurt to have allies in shinobi from other villages, but at this point, anything could happen. #588 words |

| As time slowly went by it was obvious that the simple gestures were to be analyzed in such matter. The two staring at each other as if that was the first part of the match and with out further notice the two had became a simple conversation that was needed before the battle even started.
“That sounds fair. Konnichiwa, Rukasu-san of Kirigakure no Sato. I am Shikaruto from the Nara clan of Konohagakure no Sato." Shikaruto said as the red head shinobi ears twitched a bit, he heard something that had gotten him very interested in the spar already. Rukasu didn't know much about the clan, or any big knowledge about the village he lived in. "I came to this place because I was walking through the woods nearby when I heard your proclamation and it piqued my interest.” He also said, while hearing this information was something that made his right eyebrow twitched just a little, still looking at the shinobi ahead of him.
Nara clan? All I heard from this clan is that it uses or utilaizes the shadows, However I also heard that it is a clan of shadows. Whatever it is I am intrigued by this shinobi and I can not wait to see what he has in his arsenal for me. Rukasu thought to himself as he still watch everything about this opponent.
"So Shikaruto, I am glad that you came hear to accept my challenge, however I will not accept defeat!" Rukasu said in a very deep low tone demanding voice, "I understand that you are from the Nara clan, the clan of shadows, However I do know much about this clan and I would like for you to show me more about this clan of yours. Since I don't know much about your clan you may have the advantage, however I do know is this, A shinobi in a clan cannot lose at all cost, that he has to come home a winner and not be a failure to his clansmen. From what I do know then I understand that you will give it all you can to defeat me." The red king said glaring his yellow eyes straight into his eyes. His focused on him was as if he had already locked him down, but that wasn't the case.
"Now what would you preferred, a battle to the death with nothing holding us back or just a little spar? I ask this of you just to make sure If I have to hold back fighting you or go all out against you." Rukasu said fully aware theta in a fight anything can change with just a switch, so who knows how will the battle go about. However if this shinobi has plans on living and clinging to people he cares about then maybe he will not die in this battle. This would also go for Rukasu if he were to make a simple mistake in battle as well.
"I only have one more question for you before we can start this spar..." Pausing for a moment for dramatic affect while he glared at his newly pointed opponent, grabbing in one of his pockets, taking out a scroll that he held in one hand and the other hand was just a fist not showing anything but a fist. "Weapons or special?" Rukasu said as he knew that with either one he would decide it would be still an exciting fight.
A shinobi from the leaf village vs a shinobi from the mist village. How would the battle turn out...

Rukasu’s ears twitched at the mention of the Nara clan, so Shikaruto knew he had captured his attention. His right eyebrow twitched as he continued staring straight at Shikaruto whilst he spoke. Shikaruto hated how much notoriety his clan had, but there wasn’t much he do about it. It was only his bloodline which had captured Rukasu-san's attention. As a shinobi, he was more than his bloodline, and that was something he needed to prove to everyone.
“So Shikaruto, I am glad that you came here to accept my challenge. However, I will not accept defeat!” Rukasu-san claimed, his voice deep yet full of passion. He seemed to be a very passionate shinobi, and Shikaruto didn’t know whether to smile or berate him for it. “I understand that you are from the Nara clan, the clan of shadows. However, I do not know much about this clan of yours. Since I don’t know much about your clan, you may have the advantage. However, I do know this; a shinobi in a clan cannot lose at all costs; he has to come home a winner and not be a failure to his clansmen. From what I do know then, I understand that you will give it all you can to defeat me.” Rukasu-san spoke, his yellow eyes glaring at Shikaruto as he did so, passion burning in embers behind his iris’. Only half of his statement was true. Shikaruto was going to give it all he could to defeat Rukasu-san, but it had nothing to do with the honour of the Nara clan. In fact, he couldn’t care less about that. He hated it. Rukasu-san was right in what he had said about clans, but what he didn’t know was that Shikaruto was somewhat of a self-claimed pariah of the Nara clan and he simply refused to follow their traditions.
Rukasu-san seemed smart enough to deduce and acknowledge that Shikaruto already had the advantage, despite neither of them having thrown a punch yet. His hijutsu were a weapon he could utilise to surprise Rukasu-san, but he wouldn’t do so, simply as a point of principle. Shikaruto only used his shadow jutsu when he felt he had to. Otherwise, it just felt cheap, to rely on a bloodline to win all his battles for him. After all, he wasn’t an Uchiha. He couldn't prove himself as a proficient shinobi outside of his bloodline if he relied on his clan to win battles. That was his principle; something he would abide by until the day he died. Rukasu's assumptions about his clan had angered Shikaruto, but he kept his cool and transformed his anger into passion and drive to win the upcoming battle. He had to force his body to stop shaking from anticipation, because he was so ready for whatever was about to happen.
“Now, what you prefer; a battle to the death with nothing holding us back or just a little spar? I ask this of you just to make sure if I have to hold back fighting you, or go all out against you.” Rukasu-san spoke again, although his harsh tone simply didn't seem to suit the deadly intent of what he was saying. He could have been speaking what Shikaruto wanted for dinner, rather than whether or not they were going to kill each other. Shikaruto and Rukasu-san were from opposing villages, so there was no code or honour prohibiting them from killing each other, so Shikaruto was surprised that Rukasu had even given him this option. Of course, he would never choose death, but he didn't want to lose face and he wanted to appear as confident as possible. Obviously, he would have to choose the 'fight to the death' option, as much as he didn't want to. Shikaruto's jaw clenched and his teeth grinded as he wondered how to respond.
Rukasu’s question took Shikaruto by surprise, but he hid it well. His face remained passive, as he thought about his answer. Shikaruto was about to answer, when Rukasu-san spoke again. “I only have one more question for you, before we can start this spar...” Rukasu-san’s Freudian slip seemed to answer the question for Shikaruto, in his mind. He calmed down slightly at this, for at least now he knew what Rukasu wanted him to say. Rukasu was obviously pausing for dramatic effect, but Shikaruto couldn’t help but feel it was all a masquerade and he wasn’t actually as confident as he thought he appeared. Finally, Rukasu appeared ready to speak again and Shikaruto prepared himself for what he might have to say. “Weapons or special?”
Shikaruto wasn’t exactly sure what Rukasu meant by that, but rather than lose face, he had already thought of a way to maintain his impassive confidence. “How about both?” he said, his voice deadly and a smirk planted on his features. “As for your earlier question...” Shikaruto addressed, pausing for his own dramatic effect and allowing his eyes to trace along the skyline behind Rukasu-san. Bringing his eyes back to Rukasu, staring straight at him, he finished. “Why don’t we just see where the fight takes us?” At this point, Shikaruto would have attacked, but he was more of a defensive fighter, and he knew this, so he waited for Rukasu-san to make the first move. #880 words |
