Seriously? Why? It serves no purpose other than mindless games played by few.. It's going to be the most commonly updated board, and in the few days that it has existed has already racked up 200 posts. It's all the same inane crap at every forum, so why not just fill the other forums with spam, and keep US shiney and clean? Do we really want a million posts that say "7.3, I like the picture"? Or do we want RP boards, and the other things required to keep the RP going smoothly?

I for one, say boo to the spam board.

What kind of waste is it? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed. It's so very selfish for you to say that it should be removed, solely based on the fact that you don't find it amusing. Others find it amusing. Deal with it.

Eh. In the minimum word count topic it has the line "To maintain at least a shred of profesionalism..." .. I think you lose that shred with the Spam section.

Listen Wind, I was fully against it, I was the one that didn't allow it back, so I'll ask John to give his view on why it should be allowed, as his the one who persuaded me to bring it to the staff's attention.

This site is about entertainment, we can step beyond the boundries of pure professionalism because that's what makes us a fun community. I'm sorry you don't think it's fun, but as you said the amount of posts made already indicates others do. Not to mention the more overall posts we have, the higher we become on the search engines and the bigger US 2.0 will become. It's not a negative thing. I don't know how one section with spam makes the forum unclean. It's well organized and in only one area of the forum and if you're not a fan of it then all you have to do is avoid looking at the topics.

... I've been on plenty of RP sites that are anti-spam. Though I'm new to forum RP, so that seems to be different. Most places I've played, Forums are only used for record keeping purposes, and the RP happens in various chat rooms.

Chat room RP's are very low in skill, it's nothing but 1 or 2 lines maximum. Regardless, all sites are different, there is no right or wrong.
