The Scrolling Banner

I've started to notice that the scrolling banner at the top is becoming rather outdated. As the Events are mostly complete now, I don't see much reason to keep it up there.

In addition, recently its been causing my browser to lag extremely hard. Even as I type this the whole screen will freeze up for a couple seconds.

It was a good idea but until the next events start up, I think its time it came down.

What browser do you have? Do you have adblocker (plus) on it?

Firefox and no.

However I did update my flash player and it has cleared significantly. There's still hiccups but its far from it just freezing up every couple of seconds.

I agree with Daedalus, for different reasons. I just find moving, sparkling or otherwise flashing banners to be very annoying. It's not lagging me, but I do find it highly annoying. I usually have to scroll down till it's just not on my screen.

Sorry, Adam. It was a nice idea, but it probably could have been implemented better. ^^;
