The rooftops of houses [Open, No Killing] Vide
PostSubject: The rooftops of houses [Open, No Killing] The rooftops of houses [Open, No Killing] EmptyWed 28 Apr 2010, 11:32 pm

Wanizame was watching the sun set, picking at the underside of his fingernails with a senbon tugged from his pouch. Honestly, these days he felt like he needed to grab more from the village armory or even go to the blacksmith and craft a fine set of surgery tools for the right price. But money was short and time was shorter. Any day now he would be assigned to a new team and be put on the move.

A group of crows were nesting on the corner of the roof his legs were currently hanging off of. They had seemed to be a bit more attracted to him ever since he had signed that contract with Nigai, who was thankfully absent this evening. Her grilling him during training for more results and a quicker pace left him somewhat unnerved and thinking she had her own plans and favors to ask for in the days ahead as well.

But it was a nice night, and a few people were out for walks in the setting sun. The crows were quiet, the village was calming, overall... it looked the ending of a good but long, long day. Switching the senbon from one fingernail to the next, Wanizame paid attention to little else but his surroundings and the meticulous cleaning of his fingernails as he waited for something of interest to happen.

Being bored at home, Shinzui went for a walk around the village. Watching the sun set, it reminded him of his life in Kirigkure with his grandfather and Mangetsu. Though they where forever lost to him, their keepsake swords where not. Jumping onto a rooftop, he put his swords on the roof and watched them shine brightly in the light of the sun. It was just a simple shining pair of swords to some people, but to Shinzui it was like the spirits of his best friend and grandfather where somehow smiling at him.

Taking his time looking at his swords, he sheated them and stood up straight. Turning his head, he heard the screeching of birds. Now that the sun had set, he wasnt able to tell what kind of birds they where. Getting closer to take a peek at them, he saw a bunch of crows. Also noticing a kid sitting on the roof, he jumped from roof to roof and eventually stood next to him. Though he didnt feel like talking, he sat down a few steps away from the other guy and watched at the spot where the sun had just disappeared from sight, leaving but a little light left on Kumogakure.

"Who is this guy, i havent seen him around before", Shinzui thought to himself as he watched him from the corner of his eyes.

"You're technically trespassing you know.... This is my roof."

Wanizame wasn't actually in a bad mood, his statement seemed spawned out of boredome than malice. He whistled, the crows scattering with the barest hints of annoyance. If one could read annoyance in the face of a bird. With the black feathered creatures taking flight, Wanizame finally chanced a sideways glance at whoever it was that had interupted his end of day ritual.

The boy beside him had a pair of now sheathed swords, something Wanizame himself still declared to be for barbarian's hands. His own were far more suited to the finesse and speed required for surgery. A sword might just be a giant scalpal but he prefferred the clean and exact blade of that particular instrument far more than the weight provided by an enlarged version.

The crows had begun to circle, wanting their roost back to themselves as the boys sat there watching the final rays of the sun dip below mountains they called home. Eyes now satisfied with his current companion, he returned his gaze outward.

"I don't believe we've met. I'm Wanizame." he says with a bit of a sigh, waiting for the usual pause as that name rings a bell in the back of a persons mind. He did get that one genin kid killed on his last mission before being removed from the active teams for the past few weeks. Perhaps this guy honestly has never heard of them, there was something to hope for after all.

The guy next to him didnt look like someone who was worthy of his trust, or atleast not for now. Noticing the anoying birds fly up from their nest, he placed one hand on the handle of Yamato. If one of the birds would choose to peck or even hit him with its wing, he would forcefully remove their wings one by one. Not in the mood for the trashmen of nature, he kept stroking the handle of his blade with his finger, ready to strike at any given moment.

Not caring the least about who's roof it was, shinzui looked aside with a killer look. It was clear to him that the kid was a bit odd, in normal terms atleast. He reminded him of himself, he had the same look in his eyes as he had when he left kirigakure. But he had something he didnt have, he had the look in his eyes Mangetsu had after he killed the rogue who tried to steal the family heirloom. He was deffinetly not going to trust him for the moment, unless he was somehow able of doing something to earn his trust.

Hearing that the kid told him his name was wanizame, he turned his head towards him again and replied. "Shinzui". In the last bit of light rest, he stood up and looked at the dark sky. Trying to figure out what kind of kid Wanizame was, he pointed one finger at him and started talking.

"I dont know you very well, but nothing lets you get a clearer vision of another then through a spar. What do you say, you up for it Kid".

"It's a waste of time, utterly and totally."

Too many people wanted to fight for no real reason. It was irksome and always ended up with a shinobi of the same village injured without need. Wanizame was still picking his fingernails with the drawn senbon, no longer bothering to look up at Shinzui further.

"If you are here looking for a fight then I am afraid you are sadly mistaken in my intentions sitting here. And if you draw that blade, I will gladly report you as a traitor to the flash force. Oh, and if you strike one of those birds you are currently watching then I won't have to bother striking you down."

He yawned, officially ticked off with Shinzui on levels that the person beside him could yet understand. War was a game of chess, and there were too many pawns ready to fight and die rather than position themselves for things greater than that.

Such distracting thoughts left him accidentily pricking his thumb with the senbon. It smarted, sure, but it wasn't so bad once it reduced from a sharp stabbing pain to a dull throb. Returning to the apparently important task of cleaning his fingernails, he watches the last few people return to their homes below. Nails all ceaned, Wanizame finally stood up on the edge of the roof and stretched with a big yawn, hands folding behind his head and fingers entwining amongst themselves as they met.

One that kept running through his mind: That he was horribly bored.

So youre the type of person that thinks he's too good for a simple spar" Shinzui said as he let go of the handle of his sword and turned away from the kid. "But i dont think you are, you are most likely the weak type that abandons his friends because he doesnt know how to fight".

Jumping down from the roof, he hit the ground below and walked away. Away from the anoying screeches of the birds, and away from the coward on his roof. "It sickens me to see such weaklings in a good village, it makes me want to puke".

"Guess i will have to find something better to do with my spare time" Shinzui thought to himself as he walked through the darkened streets of Kumogakure.
