Team 1C Meeting. [Private; Aaron, Fatal Attraction & Kibaka]

Akimaru bounded down the street, a huge smile ecthed upon his face. His mouth was wide, his teeth were shining in the sunlight and he was literally skipping down the streets of Konoha. Nothing could ruin his mood. He was so happy. He seemed to see everything in a positive light since getting the news. He was acting very unprofessional and very un-ninjalike, which would normally have made him embarresed due to his enclosed nature. But today, he didn't care. His cheeks were beginning to ache from all the smiling.

His bounding started to slow, until he finally came to a halt outside of a quaint little store called Hoshi's Tea House. As Akimaru looked up at the sign, he read a wonderful plaque placed outside of the shop. A modestly sized tea house in the center of Konoha, run by an old Konoha shinobi, named Hoshi. Hoshi is the expert at making the perfect cup of tea for any occasion, any emotion or any date. Hoshi has the largest selection of local and imported ingredients for tea in the world. However, the decor is pretty dated and not particularly fashionable; but it's decor is made up with it's amazing tea which brings a constant flow of both Ninja and civilians. The perfect meeting place.

As Akimaru finished reading, he fell in love with the plaque. It wasn't bias, it even pointed out it's own negatives and didn't brag or anything. In fact it was quite a cosy little business out of the way of all the hustle and bustle of Konoha. Akimaru rather liked this tea house. Akimaru gently pushed the door open, and was genuinely delighted when a accompanied tinkle of a bell welcomed him into the room. Standing up to it's word, the decoration around the shop was quite dated, appealing to elders of the village, most likely. The shop didn't seem to show any signs of being part of a ninja village, which was a first for Konoha.

Akimaru eye's scanned lazily around the room, and he found and empty table in the corner, coveted slightly by shadow. As he walked over to the table, a great aroma of jasmine flower filled his nose, and he felt rather relaxed. Akimaru sat down gently at the mahogany table, and rested his hands on the table. After taking in as much detail about the lovely little shop as possible, he was approached by a frail old man who must be the infamous owner of the shop, Hoshi.

"How may I help you, young man?" Hoshi said in a frial voice, his face sagging slightly as he spoke. Akimaru's eyes fell upon his tuft of white hair on his head, his skin looked like old leather and his beetle eyes were small and brown. His skin was slightly tanned and he had a dark freckle on his forehead. He was wearing some weird mix between a robe and a toga, and it slightly reminded Akimaru of the Hokage robe, except it was green and black and had some differences. Taking not too long to respond, Akimaru spoke.

"Um, please may I have a cup of jasmine flavoured tea?" Akimaru said politely and with a smile. As he finished speaking, Hoshi smiled back, his eyes squinted. He gave a small bow of what his frail back could muster, and mumbled as he was walking away. "Of course, young sir." Hoshi hobbled off back across the shop and back out of sight. There was a slight murmur of chatter between people in the background, but nothing which obstructed Akimaru's train of thought.

Within a few minutes Hoshi was back, a steaming cup of jasmine tea accompanied by a mug, saucer, sugar, milk and assorted cakes and biscuits. It was the most elaborate cup of tea Akimaru had ever seen. He smiled and Hoshi and voiced his thanks. Reapeating his last process of bowing, Hoshi walked away, leaving Akimaru to think. He was leaving his cup of jasmine to cool, before he put milk or sugar in to it. For the first time that day, Akimaru got to dwell on why he was so excited.

Akimaru had been given the news earlier that day that he was being placed in a three man chuunin team. So there would be no leader, no orders. There were all equals and they would work on the missions orders, or on democracy and fair voting. Akimaru had a good feeling about the future. What had made him even happier was that Lilium was on his team, his teenage crush. The only thing Akimaru had a negative vibe about was the third member of the team; Toya Kanashi. He was a fellow male and Akimaru didn't feel like having a love rival. All he could wait was for things to unravel themselves, as he sat in that quaint old tea shop, waiting for his team-mates to arrive.

Toya hummed to himself as he ambled along the plain grey road. Finally he had been assigned a team, and now they were going to meet up! He did not run or skip, but the excitement was building up inside him, giving him butterflies. He felt shaky, and his head was aching from the tension inside him. Breathe slowly he told himself silently, willing himself to be calm. It took all of his willpower to not run down the path like an excited ten year old. It wasn't that he wanted to seem like a serious ninja, he was worried his fellow team members might be those annoyingly stuck-up types who enforced the repressing of positive emotions. He shuddered at the thought of it. He had been given two drawings of the other two so he could identify them and a note that instructed him to arrive at Hoshi's Tea House at midday. One was a girl, and one was a boy. He had no idea what else to expect.

Regardless, it was a good day. The clouds were fluffy and small, and the sky was filled with azure light. The birds trilled in the background, and slowly his mind became lost in a symphony of birdsong and blue sky. The amber sun shone on a patch of grass to the left of him, and he could hear water running in the background, mingled with the murmur of passer byers. He enjoyed the feeling of being enclosed in the peace of the things around him. It had been a long time since he'd felt so happy.

As he approached the Tea House, he was pulled out his imaginary world only to see a boy his age running down a path from the other direction, just like an excited ten year old. He smiled as he saw him, but he was too far away to notice him. The boy slowed and stopped outside of the Tea House, reading the plaque in front of it. Toya slowly began to feel his butterflies coming back. He pulled out the drawing, at then looked at the boy, who was entering the Tea House. They were definitely the same person. He sighed in relief. One of his team members was interesting! That left the girl, who he still had no idea about. He waited for a few minutes before entering, mainly to see if the girl would show up in the next few minutes, but she didn't. Toya read the plaque with interest, and then laid his hand on the door. This was it. Finally he would meet his team. He took a deep breath before entering. Thankfully for him, this was a good idea, since the smell of all the teas combined would have been a bit too overpowering for him.

He scanned the tables quickly, looking for the boy. He saw him in the corner, sat with a cup of jasmine-smelling tea with some other items. He was slightly surprised to see milk with the tea, considering everyone he knew thought that herbal teas tasted horrible with milk. Toya smiled at him to show he recognised him as he made his way over to the table. "Hello," he greeted him, "I'm Toya." Toya bowed his head slightly in a respectful greeting before sitting down. Hoshi came over as well, asking him what he would like to order. He asked for a tea with strawberry in it, and the old man scuttled off. When he returned, he had a tall glass of a sweet smelling red liquid, and a plate with a similar collection of items that were given to Akimaru. When Hoshi left, he didn't say anything, unsure of how to start a conversation without letting his excitement and worry make him say something stupid, and waited for him to speak.

She was tossing and turning in her oversized, yet comfortable bed. The sun had risen, peeping through her curtains. Birds were outside, chirping their mornings songs. It was a beautiful day, but she had yet to wake up. Lilium had been restless all through the night, excited to hear word of what team she might be assigned, if she was even placed. Finally giving up on extra sleep, she rolled over, and stared at the ceiling. Blinking, she adjusted her eyes to the lighting, and let out a long yawn. Only moments later, her mother, Roselyn, gently knocked on the door. Rubbing her eyes, and being pulled back into reality, she answered raspily. "You can come in, I'm awake... Sorta..." Her mother gracefully opened the door, and sat at the end of her bed with a bright smile. Lilium she tilted her head at her, still half alseep. Roselyn lifted her hand to reveal a letter, addressed to Lilium herself. Her eyes widened in shock, as she sat up and reached for the envelope, quickly opening it. Giggling, her mother rose from her seat, and left her to read the good news.

Lilium hastily looked through her wardrobe, for something at least more appealing than her sleep wear. She was as nervous as could be, and she knew she was already late. I wish she would have woken me up earlier... As she quickly changed her attire, and ran for the door, she managed to trip over her own feet. "Bah...!" Fortunately for her, she had just missed the nightstand. If she hadn't, it would have been sure to leave a nice mark for her new teammates to see. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. Then, she quickly stood, and sprinted for the door. Just as Roselyn was about to offer her breakfast, the door shut behind her, and she just shook her head with a smile. She knew she should have woken Lilium earlier, she was always punctual. But that was just the problem, she needed to relax if she was going to be on a team with two teenage boys, and not a leader to keep them in line. Roselyn just hoped they all could get along without a leader, and work equally. She had no doubt in her mind that her daughter was excited, and was sure the boys were just as anxious as she was.

While running, she was still reading the letter. She smiled when she noticed the name Kiyo, Akimaru. Well, that's certainly a pleasant surprise. A friend. Her attention was so focused on the piece of paper, that she barely noticed where she was going. She was having a difficult time dodging the people of the busy streets of Konohagakure no Sato, and nearly ran into the lot of them. But above all, she prevailed in navigating her way to the tea house, where they would be meet. She didn't recognize the path, or the buildings, but she didn't get out much anyways. So when she actually managed to find her destination, it only made the day all the more better. Lilium stood outside the little shop, pulling herself together. She just stared in, all the people, the unfamiliar faces. But then she remembered Kiyo-kun, and she managed to keep her calm, collected composure. With a deep breath, and insecure thoughts, she took a step in the doorway, approaching the unknown.

Her eyes skimmed the perimeter, and as she kept calm, she realized the shop wasn't so busy after all. Maybe it was just her nerves playing tricks on her from the beginning, because as she looked at the clock adjusted on the wall, she realized she was on time. The owner greeted her, and asked her if she wanted anything. All she could manage was a shake of the head, and a quiet, yet audible. "No, thank you, sir..." It felt like everyone's eyes were drawn on her, and she couldn't help but feel her eyes slowly look to the floor. She began to chew her lip, before convincing herself to look up. When she did, she saw Akimaru, and she felt just a little better. As she looked around, she noticed her other teammate beside him, whom she hadn't met yet. She hesitantly approached their table.

Lilium stopped chewing her lip, just enough to speak up. "A pleasure to see you again, Kiyo-kun." She said this with a small, but warm smile. "And a pleasure to finally meet you, Toya, isn't it?" Her voice was a bit shaking, unsure of whether she had remembered his name right. Bringing herself to ease, she introduced herself quickly. "I am Lilium..." Just as quiet as before, but more sure, she could remember her own name. She nervously brought her hand to rub the back of her head, her eyes gently closed...

As Akimaru was sat at the table, he was looking around again. However, he wasn't looking at the room this time. He was looking at the individuals. Most of them were elderly people at least over the age of sixty and more. There were few young people in the tea shop and even fewer shinobi. This made Akimaru stand out a little more than he'd like, as people kept glancing at him and his headband. It were as if he wasn't welcome here. But as he caught the eye of one women eyeing him, her expression was that of interest, not disgust. This calmed Akimaru a little, and he continued to look around the tea shop.

Whilst Akimaru resumed scanning the room, the door opened again with a slight tinkle. Akimaru's eyes darted towards the door. Stood there, was a shinobi. This made Akimaru believe it was one of his team-mates. But he wasn't certain. He continued to look at the ninja, as if to catch his eye. He was definately from Konoha. He was quite big as a teenager, although not as big as Akimaru. But the abscence of major height difference calmed Akimaru further. The fellow Konoha ninja had jet black hair, and it was in somewhat of a straight mop. His appearance was quite intruiging to Akimaru, and evidently the rest of the shop.

As Akimaru was looking at the shinobi, he smiled at him. He began to walk towards Akimaru, the smile still on his face. Akimaru's first impression of the boy was that he wouldn't be a love rival. But first impression's weren't always right. "Hello," the shinobi said, greeting Akimaru, "I'm Toya." Toya bowed his head slightly in a respectful greeting before sitting down. After a moment of awkward silence Hoshi came to the table. He must already know Toya was a new addition to the shop. "He's sharp." Akimaru found himself thinking.

As Hoshi stood over the table, Akimaru listened to the conversation that followed. "Well young man, what would you like to drink?" Hoshi said, his face sagging once again. Toya ordered a tea with strawberry in it, basically strawberry tea. Repeating what he had done with Akimaru, Hoshi bowed then scuttled off across the shop to fulfill his latest order. Hoshi soon returned, the cup of steaming tea on a saucer with all the same items Akimaru's jasmine tea possessed. Akimaru looked interested at the strawberry tea, a steaming red liquid, true to it's fruit colour. Deciding he'd better introduce himself to Toya, Akimaru said, "Hello Toya, i-it's nice to m-meet you. My name is Akimaru Kiyo." As Akimaru was embarressed about stumbling over his words, he didn't have much time to dwell.

His ears heard the tinkle of the door, and once again Akimaru's eyes darted up towards the doorway. Stood in the doorway was Lilium, his personal angel. The sunlight beamed in from the open door and windows beside her, shining across her back and the right side of her body. She was looking as beautiful as ever. Suppressing his feelings, Akimaru summed it all up with a smile. Lilium's eyes were searching around the room, but had not yet fell on Akimaru. Unlike Akimaru and Toya, Hoshi approached Lilium before she had sat down, but their conversation was both short and inaudiable. Due to it's length and Lilium shaking her head, Akimaru assumed she had denied him the opportunity of making her a beverage.

Akimaru could tell Lilium was quite nervous by the way she was biting her lip, but he could do nothing to help her right now. Lilium hesitantly approached their table. Lilium stopped chewing her lip, just enough to speak up. "A pleasure to see you again, Kiyo-kun." She said this with a small, but warm smile. Akimaru's heart skipped a beat, and he smiled at her. "And a pleasure to finally meet you, Toya, isn't it?" Her voice was a bit shaking, but Akimaru wasn't sure why. Perhaps she was just as nervous as him? "I am Lilium..." she continued nonetheless. She nervously brought her hand to rub the back of her head, her eyes gently closed. She had been talking rather quietly.

The three of them were now at the table, so it was time for their meeting to progress. Akimaru took a deep breath, and mustered up the courage for what he was going to say. Then he faltered. He was taking a leadership role with this. But he didn't need to. They were all equals on the team, just because he had arrived first at the location didn't mean anything. Akimaru stayed quiet, and waited for the other two to converse, and he would jump in when he was ready. It would be good for the three of them to get to know each other better first before they started talking about anything official.
