In his never ending quest to seek perfection in battle as a means of defending his sister and his village from harm, Yoroi had managed to expand his arsenal, his combat tactics and his view on things beyond what he had once believed to be possible for himself. Over the course of three years, he had pushed the limits of his corpse bone pathway by at least seventy percent, which was a lot when one considered the strength of the Kaguya clan’s Kekkei Genkai. There was a reason why they were known as the perfect Taijutsu users back when the clan was still a lot bigger and more powerful. Unfortunately, their suicidal attack on the hidden mist village had killed off almost every single one of them, even leading to them being proclaimed as extinct at a certain point. Even though there still were not a whole lot of them, Yoroi knew that there were at least three Kaguya clan members walking around beside himself, leaving at least four of them that had not been destroyed. Though there was no doubt in his mind that he was most certainly the strongest out of that group, he had already set a standard for Kaguya everywhere to overcome if they wanted to even remotely have a claim at being the strongest of their Clan.
Next to that, his Taijutsu as a whole was something most Konoha shinobi looked up to, seeing as he had mastered every single one of the hidden village techniques, including the powerful physical techniques that came with it, something not every shinobi would be able to do. Taijutsu was for that reason his first and foremost skill that took him very little effort, though at the same time doing great things that others wished they could achieve. He knew that Toshiro, his soon to be brother in law, was a weaponry based fighter from the Hinamori clan, which was why he wanted to test his Taijutsu against his personal weaponry based combat. Another thing he excelled at was his mastery over the arts of Ryuchi, the serpent ninjutsu that were hard to truly study and learn, nearly impossible to perfect. Though he was still not even close to attaining perfect control over these abilities, he had managed to mix his shikotsumyaku with the serpent arts, creating very specific abilities that not every denizen of the ryuchi cavern could appreciate, finding his techniques to be macabre and degrading their race. Yoroi however chose not to care too much about this, finding that his personal progress would be more important than some people shaking their heads at the techniques he came up with.
Finally, there was the matter of his elemental ninjutsu, something that did not really get close to his mastery of Taijutsu, though this had been a result of a choice he had personally made. He knew that, with the time he had, he had to pick something to push beyond it’s limits before working on something else. Not considering the rushing of talent to be a good thing, he took his time to work his way through his Taijutsu first before he went through his elemental affinities one by one. Going through the elemental natures he possessed, it felt like the ones he had were too generic and well know throughout the shinobi world, thus easier to fight. This was what brought him to the point that he had been studying quite fiercely over the last year. The ability to create advanced elements by combining two of the five basic elements seemed to be something that had been reserved for clans such as the Senju clan, though it had not specifically been stated to be limited to them. Of the basic elements, Yoroi possessed water, fire and lightning, three elements that were known to create highly offensive powers when combined into one. Being able to think up the boiling water created by combining fire and water, as well as the storms generated by water and lightning, Yoroi figured that it would be a good idea to make his creation as unique as possible.
Thinking that the element he would try to create would have to be something that would contribute to the elements he already had, though it had to be much more destructive at the same time. It was for this reason that the only elements that made sense to combine were fire and lightning, the most powerful elemental affinities he possessed. To merge these two highly offensive elements was no easy task though, something he figured out more than once as he tried it over the course of the next days. When he first went about it, the intention was to create a form of fire that could beat water in the elemental scale. As such, he tried to mold and spit it out of his mouth like a fireball, though all this did was either shock or burn his tongue, something that got old really fast, not to mention painful. Not being the kind that easily gave up on something once he started, he tried getting it to work out for him in various ways. Unfortunately, these all turned around to bite him in the ass as they all failed and ended up burning him, paralyzed muscles or simply blew up in his face. It was one of the primary dangers of having to do the experimenting by himself, there was never anyone around who could possibly help him figure out what to do, though that was not a problem for the young Kaguya, it never had been after all. Receiving help from others was a concept that had been lost on him when he was left alone in the world, having only himself to truly stand up for him.
Obviously, Kimiko was in his life now, and she was more than enough for him to be happy, though he would never ask her to help him figure out new methods of combat or in this case, new elemental ninjutsu. This was not because he did not want her to be a part of his experimentation's, but because he did not want to put anyone in harms way. He was very well aware of the massive amounts of chakra he held in his body, so during experimentation's, there was no telling as to what would happen. After all, the whole theme of experimentation was that that he tried things he had never tried before, in turn resulting in a lot of failure before one was to eventually reach the point they wanted to get to. That was when it hit him. The constant explosions and the burst of chakra were considered as failures, but what if it was the logical outcome of that which he tried to create. To his knowledge, both fire and lightning were often associated with the creation of explosion, so despite the fact that there was no earthen component that actually blew up, the chakra itself could create a destructive force of its own. Though it would open up an entirely new set of things he would need to try, he figured that if this was to work out, he should not utilize it as a form of Ninjutsu such as the generic fire and water based techniques, but like the majority of his lightning techniques, enhancing and augmenting his physical prowess with elemental chakra. It was something that often gave him an edge whenever he was fighting at a close range, though there was only so much his generic Taijutsu could do, even when mixed with the lightning element.
Focusing the mixture of elemental chakra into a rock he held clutched in his fist, he picked a target and tossed it at one of the rocks that jutted out at the foot of the waterfall. As the rocks collided, a large flash was shown prior to a loud explosion that pushed water and rock aside with it’s devastating force. Sending rubble flying everywhere, the explosion was far less powerful than what Yoroi had imagined it to be, though it was a lot better than the surges of electricity or the burns he gave himself by accident. By the time the explosion died down and the rubble and dust settled,Yoroi had already imbued the next stone with chakra, this time trying to balance the two elements that made it up in order to make this explosion more potent than the last. Controlling the amount of chakra he channeled into his new bomb, he aimed and threw it at a new target. Tossing it into the deep basin at the foot of the waterfall, he held the explosive chakra centered as the rock sank. Trying to create a more surprising element to his bombs, he made sure it would not explode until he wanted it to do so. When enough time had passed, he formed the Tairetsu Iri, the seal of confrontation with his right hand, triggering an underwater explosion that sent water flying sky high with the force of a geyser. Though blowing stuff up never really got boring, there was only so much he would gain from repeating the same procedure over and over again. Yoroi knew that this had to be done in order to prepare himself for the use of this rather volatile force in combat, not looking forward to failing at it’s formation and blowing up in his face when it mattered.
Two hours of bomb throwing later, he had gotten rather fed up with the enhancing and stabilizing of his explosives, deciding to take it to a new level. Forming it in the palm of his hand, the young man closed his eyes and let it flow freely through his right hand, he focused all of it into a layer around his closed fist. As he opened his eyes, he looked at a rock formation and started running towards it at full speed. Hoping that it would work, he punched forward, aiming at the rock formation. Moments before he collided with the rocks, the chakra touched the solid rock and exploded in a manner that pushed the rubble away from him, though it still backfired a bit as his arm shot back and dislocated itself as a result of the blast. Though it hurt a bit, he popped it back in without having to get worked up over it, using simple shikotsumyaku manipulation. As it popped back, he looked in front of him, seeing that most of the rock had simply disintegrated upon collision, the rest sent flying across the mountain. Being quite satisfied with the result, he had burned his knuckles quite a bit, showing that these techniques were not yet complete. That said, he had managed to lay the foundation on which he could build his future techniques. Brushing most of the dirt off of his clothing, it was time to head on home and get some food. After all, he had been training for hours already, so it was quite deserved, at least that was the way in which Yoroi justified it.
