| Your blood must look amazing There isn’t much to say about the fire country right now. Besides from having up tight women with no manners what so ever, and being surrounded by a shit ton of trees. “Agh! So frustrating! She shouldn’t have got to my head like that. The little unforgiving brat!” Mokuzai shook his head rapidly, it wasn’t natural for him to get frustrated from just a little ole’ spar. Given, he didn’t expect her to be fierce with her tongue. He was stronger, and he knew this. It didn’t take a show to prove that he was strong; it was just a little line that the girl said. “You are nothing without the people working for you.” He muttered past his lips while he stopped walking. Not a lot of things got to him like normal people. Being called weak can easily set him off, or telling him that without people he is nothing will easily do it as well. He didn’t know who the girl was, nor did he care to find out more about her. All he knew was that she was Yamanaka; that it is enough for him to figure out why her personality is the way she showed; being all cocky since she can get into someone’s head and know each and every thought that had over a course of a lifetime and pick up new ones as they come about.
Letting warm air come out of his nostrils in an exhale, Mokuzai started his trek through the forest again, looking up at each tree that passed by him. It was a lovely sight to be honest. Nothing too boring to look at and the sky were just now getting overcast in an early evening day. For the first day in the fire country, it left a sour taste in his mouth and impressions. For being the biggest country that he visited; there wasn’t anything too grand about it just yet. He was trying to keep optimistic about certain things, but everything was just getting thrown in the back of his mind without him knowing it. Pretty hard to concentrate when your mind is getting bogged down with second thoughts.
The end of the forest line was coming up pretty quickly; while a start to a new area was starting to form over time. What was once green and full of life was now gray and pretty much shouted ‘death’ throughout the area. Bones laid waste to the ground; some forming decent shelter plans, and others still had skin attached to the skeleton that didn’t get a chance to decompose. It wasn’t the greatest of sights, but he couldn’t complain after being in a forest for hours on end. Looking over the various corpses and mountains that surrounded the area, Mokuzai was chewing on his lip while trekking up a path. “This is.. new. Meh. Bones. Nothing too serious about them. At least until I meet the thing that caused the corpses to be like this. Only then will I be royally fucked.”
He wasn’t –that- scared of meeting the thing; he would just love to avoid it if he could. Putting his hood on the back of his head, he slipped his thin digits in the depths of his pockets that laid on his legs. He might as well look throughout the area and see if he could find something of interest, right? Nothing too bad should happen. At least that is what he thought. You could never guess what would happen in the biggest country that is in existence. So many clans and ninja are from here. Legends started out here, and legends formed this country for what it was. Getting away from the main village, and getting more and more into the wilderness; it wouldn’t surprise him if he met other fellow nukenin. Given, it could work in his favor if he showed that he was too a nukenin. So with that, he took his headband from his pouch and tied it so that the symbol would be presentable from his right temple.
It was starting to get more and more common for him to wear it there rather than his mouth or neck like he used to. He thought he looked cool, and it really made everything be shown. Why hide where he was from in a dead beat place like this? It would probably make ninja be ashamed to not know where their murderer was from. “Heh. Must not be that many people ou-“ A hut started to attract his attention. It wasn’t that far off but, from what he could tell; it might be abandoned. Looking up at the sky, the overcast from earlier started to get darker and darker in color. If it was going to rain soon, he better find some shelter so that he won’t get sick from the coolness of the rain. What better shelter than a hut that could possibly be empty? Lowering his body at the waist, he started to take a full sprint towards the hut. If he was going to beat the rain, he would have to be quick about getting to the hut. Animals skins decorated the outside of the structure, and fire pit was nearby. Avoiding the pit and kicking dirt into it just to be sure, Mokuzai grabbed the handle of the hut, slowly pushing it open.
“Well. Seems empty..” He stated while he walked inside. He didn’t really pay attention to what was inside, and how it was decorated. Seeing a place to lay down was all that mattered to him, and that he did. Sitting on fur of some animal, he slowly dropped the coat from his shoulders. “Meh. Just until the rain pasts.”

| Yoroi Kaguya | | |
Though he no longer lived there, his camp in the mountains still felt like a home to him. Having spent ten years in solitude on top of the mountain, he had built a hut out of thick wooden sticks, hardened segments of bone that kept both the sticks and the leather anchored in place, as well as many skinned pelts of deer, mountain lions, wolves and even a bear. Acting as a useful deterrent for water coming down whenever it rained, it made for a cozy place that had always kept him warm at night. The softest of furs he gathered had been used to create a soft interior for the place, even though it did not look like much. It was not a royal suite, though it had always been enough for Yoroi as he grew up. His bonfire burned brightly, having enough wood on it to burn for almost a week without anyone having to tend to it, unlike the little fire pit that was placed several meters away from it, the place where he used to cook or smoke out his meat. With the massive bones of a great animal laying not too far from the place, Yoroi believed that it had been some sort of dinosaur or animal summon that had once met it's end in the place, it's bones still resting on the graveyard mountain, probably being the reason why the place was known as such. Surrounded by high walls of natural earth and rock, the treeline always kept the place hidden fairly well from those who looked up to it from the outside.
As the rain started to fall, he saw his old friend Kaien, a peregrine falcon flying overhead. Landing on a branch near him, it started talking to him in a language not meant for humans, though Yoroi understood it as if it were mere english. Someone was coming up the mountain, or so it told him. The last time he had been up here and met with someone else, he had ran into Uriko Nagase, one of the most wanted missing nin in the entire world. Instead of fighting, the two managed to get along quite well, she had even helped him grasp the concept of Iryo Ninjutsu, an art Yoroi believed to be under-practiced and underrated. Wearing his cloak and mask, he had already anticipated this kind of weather when he left his new home in Konoha. His cloak was soft and warm while the exterior was made of a special fabric that did not let water pass into it, making it the perfect coat for this kind of weather. Forming seals, he sank his body into a puddle of water directly beneath him. In a few seconds, his entire body sank into the small body of water and hid him completely. Watching from the pool as a young man walked out of the treeline and into his camp, he saw his headband and protector, noticing that like Uriko, this boy was a missing ninja. Whether this guy would be like Uriko or not, he figured that it would be best to wait until the rain stopped pouring down before he would do anything about the situation he found himself in.
For five minutes the rain kept falling as Yoroi remained inside of the puddle, not moving an inch while waiting for it all to pass, his ears focused on anything that might seem out of the ordinary. After all, it was not every day that someone just barged into his old home, even using his hut as a place to wait out the rain. By the time the rain stopped, the place was filled with puddles and mud, the bonfire no longer burning and the fire pit filled with water. As far as he knew, the only ones that had enjoyed the momentary rain were the flowers and plants in his garden. With the final drop having fallen down, it seemed about time to check out this new appearance. "I see you've made yourself rather comfortable in there. It is not often that people choose to ignore the wards set around this camp. Missing Nin such as yourself clearly don't listen to warnings all to well, or you would have walked around this place like the others. What's your name stranger, and what are you doing in my house?", Yoroi said, his voice coming from outside of the hut. Though he would not be seen, a voice seemingly originating out of nowhere would probably be enough to draw ones attention to it, just in case it was not strange enough for someone else to be in this place at this hour.
It made him wonder if this guy was the kind of scaredy cat that would rather run away or if he was the kind of person that would seek out the origin of the voice. Leaving the kind of person that would try to kill him out of the equation, he did not really consider this person to be a threat. Knowing that even Uriko considered him to be a threat to her, Yoroi did not exactly fear anyone, not that he had ever done so before. Ever since he was a young boy, he had always believed in his own power over that of a collective force such as a village, which was why he was so very confident in his abilities. Additionally, his Kaguya nature added to his confidence, for there was no more battle oriented clan out there than the Kaguya. For now, he would just remain inside of his puddle, waiting for whatever response would come from the young man inside of his former home.

| Your blood must look amazing Being in an empty hut really did set a tone for his thoughts. Not very often does he get to think about his past actions in silence, or at least somewhat of a silence. The trickling of the water that dripped off the leather and surrounding structure really settled his emotions. When he was once anxious and fiery, the water echoing into the puddles quickly put him into a gentle and caring mood. Something he thought he would never get to experience. How does a missing-nin, who has murdered countless people, teamed up with another missing-nin, and is pretty much sadistic; able to be calm and feel like he was the gentlest being in this forsaken world? The environment out here must really have a strong effect on people that trek up this far. No wonder someone or something must have set this hut up here to live in. The view, and being away from people was really, really attractive to what Mokuzai thought was the perfect hide away. With the views of the skins and various furs around the area, the person living here must have been a hunter of some sorts; or just loved not wasting what they ate.
His fingers started to trace the fur that he sat on, feeling the softness from the individual hairs that covered the floor. “Heh. Interesting.” He spoke aloud before hearing a voice coming from outside. His attention turned to the nearest window that he could find. Watching the water drip down the fairing, Mokuzai smiled softly, before leaning back on his palms and speaking with a calm tone. “I’m just keeping dry. Don’t worry. There isn’t anything here that I would fancy stealing. Even these nice little furs wouldn’t catch much coin in the markets.” Stretching his arms upwards, Mokuzai laid back on his shoulders, looking up at the ceiling of the hut. “Mokuzai.” He quickly stated keeping his last name hidden for the moment. He wasn’t going to act like he did with the girl. The man already knew he was a rogue ninja from the headband, and his statement; why should he just build on a lie that wouldn’t have a chance of working?
There was only so much he could do at the moment. With the rain coming to a slow down, it wouldn’t be that bad to go out; he had a coat for goodness sake! Standing up slowly, he grabbed his cloak and slowly pushed his arms through the length of the sleeves, bringing the hood up to his head. “I really like the layout of this area. Away from people and only nature to survive on.” He stepped outside slowly to see no one around the area. Causing him to stop just in front of the door. He was going to try to act like his normal self, but he was going to also be a little more defensive. “So you’re one to talk through the shadows first and observe before revealing yourself? I try to do the same when I can.”
Mokuzai tried his best to keep a conversation going so he could just find the source of the voice. He usually doesn’t hunt for things like this; he usually waits for the voice to come to him so he can be a little on the safe side. Keeping his hands in his pockets, he leaned back to look up at the sky. With the rain slowing down, little teases of sunshine peered through the clouds. It was a decent sight to see after being in kirigakure for so long. Stretching his arms upwards, he dropped the hood from his head to show his ebony strands blowing in the small gusts; showing his brown pools looking around in the ground.
He tried his best to dye his hair and wear contacts, but his bloodline was really potent and strong. No matter what color he dyed; it always changed back to black after fading. The contacts didn’t do much but mask his real color. If someone were to know clan traits, then he could easily be picked out in a fight or a conversation, this is the reason why he tried to wear hats, and other things to hide his features. All of his tactics in battle, or at least his elements, would have been gave away before anyone used any jutsu, or moved. It was really a depressing thing once someone actually thought about it. The amount of pride he had in his so called ‘clan’ was next to none. He didn’t even feel like he should be a part of the main family seeing as he was an experiment.
Letting out a slow breath, Mokuzai stepped away from the door and out into the open. If he was going to be jumped, then so be it. He was honest with the being so far, and if he was going to die her; it better be a decent death. A beheading or multiple stab wounds would be sufficient. He chewed on his lower lip for a few moments before walking near the fire pit where a puddle had formed. Smiling softly, he kneeled down and pressed his hand in the puddle, swirling around the liquid with his finger; looking at the ashses that floated to the top. “ Water is just a wonderful thing, don’t you agree mysterious man? It can make people healthy from drinking it; cool them off from bathing in it, as well as clean them. Stop fire from spreading massive destruction; and is the basis for most dishes to eat, and is very versatile. It’s the only element I know that can have 3 forms and still be considered water.” He tilted his head back over his right shoulder, looking behind him just to keep watch.

| Yoroi Kaguya | | |
Watching as the young man was playing around in the fire pit that had filled up entirely with water, Yoroi had taken his sweet time to listen to what he told him. Through it all, he could not help but wonder why someone so young had chosen the life of a Missing Nin, having no family or friends around that could brighten his day, having only himself and his loneliness. For years, Yoroi had been just like this, spending time hunting and feeding from what Nature had to give, carving totems out of bone as a hobby, taking care of his garden, his nest of rats and his falcon, Kaien. At a very young age, Yoroi's parents were killed while he was left to fend for himself in the wilderness. The fact of the matter was that Yoroi could have easily become a Nukenin if things had not gotten any better for him. He was lucky to have met Kimiko, or he would certainly have walked a far darker path. His wanderlust had always been strong, just like his lust for battle, though this was something he had managed to control when he was still a child, something he controlled up to this very day.
His mental fortitude was one of the things he took pride in, never getting angered easily or drawn out into doing stupid things. No, Yoroi had learned to always take things one step at a time, moving nice and slow as opposed to those who would rush in and meet their end thanks to their unplanned actions. Yoroi was the kind of person who would try to learn as much as possible about both his allies and his enemies before making any decisions, this time being no different from those other times. Still waiting inside of the puddle, it was not that hard to figure that the guy was stalling by talking to him. Even if he did try, he would not find him if Yoroi chose not to be found. Speaking to him about how he liked the location he had picked for his camp being away from people and allowing one to live off of nature, he also made comments on how he was the kind of person who would want to stalk people from the shadows while gathering his information, claiming he was the same. In assuming such a thing, he was both right and wrong, for Yoroi did not care whether people could see him or not. Either way, nothing would change, he'd be the stronger fighter in the end.
"Oh, but I don't mind people seeing me. If you'd rather see me and have some certainty of who or what you're dealing with, than I will show you". Acting like he was completely care free, he undid the jutsu that kept him hidden inside of the puddle. Raising himself from the small amount of water roughly three meters away from the young man and the fire pit, Yoroi stood up straight in the now shallow puddle. Though he had been entirely submerged, Yoroi was not wet at all, being entirely dry as his spiky white hair was just as wild as it normally was. The thick fur collar on his black cloak also showed no form of being wet, being as dry as a dust. Glaring at the young man from behind his ivory white mask, the red markings around the holes made it rather hard to see Yoroi's eyes due to the display of light and dark colors dancing around it, as well as the shadow cast over his face by the mask, leaving only a black void to look into when one tried to look through the mask to see what color his eyes were. Not really sharing anything about himself until he was actually asked, he would turn up the heat and try to reach for more information about this young Nukenin.
"Mokuzai... with the dark hair and the background of a Shinobi, I would be tempted to say that you are of the Senju clan, though the paleness of your skin would earlier suggest that you are of the Nara. Than again, your fascination with water and the name Mokuzai would suggest that you are indeed a Senju. Not that it really matters, does it?". Thinking out loud, he wondered whether this guy was a former member of the hidden leaf or if he had come from some other place he did not know about. Whatever he was from, there was no doubt about it in Yoroi's mind that this guy intended to get to the village, something he would not allow so easily. First he would require a lot of information, and if that which he was given did not suit his liking, the boy would not be able to continue his life of crime. He wouldn't kill him, but he would see to it that he was locked up and answered for his crimes, not to mention bringing up a fair sum of money for the young Kaguya when he brought him in.

| Your blood must look amazing It was nice to actually meet someone who didn’t attack him spot on for knowing that he was a missing-nin. Most others wouldn’t even ask his name before they threw shuriken at him. It wasn’t really a compliant when they did, however. It was just nice to have a conversation after traveling alone into the fire country. Not knowing a single soul here, or even knowing paths that could carry him around the country. The life of a rogue was that of a lonely one, and it did carry its effect on some people. Some went crazy and didn’t even remember how to carry a conversation; others just remained quiet and shut down away from the rest of the world. It wasn’t that hard of thing to avoid. Just keep talking and keep moving constantly. Don’t stay in one place for a long time and the whole personality thing can be avoided. Standing up with his hand out of the water, Mokuzai turned his body around so that his chest faced the clothed man that has been speaking to him this whole time.
“You actually look like you do live in this hut, surprising.” He nodded a few times while eyeing the man’s mask. Nothing could help him get a better look at his facial features; the darkness didn’t work for him, not even his eyes could be seen from behind his mask. “So what are you? Special ops or something? A hermit?” He tilted his head at the various options that this man could be. Mokuzai has never been in the hidden leaf, so how would he know what their masks looked like? He has only seen kirigakure’s Anbu, and heard of the Kyobu from Kumogakure. This was starting to get really interesting once the man started to guess what clan he was from. “Senju. Technically. Given, I haven’t met any other Senju, nor do I have a motive to at the moment.”
The smile that came up on his face was priceless. Even if he was an experiment; at least he knew that his genes did make him look like he was the real thing. “ You must know something about Konoha, correct?” He plainly stated, looking around the area and sitting down on the driest spot that he could fine. He was trying to give off a less hostile sense of body language towards the man. “May I ask your name? Or some codename to call you? Mysterious man takes too much effort to say.” As long as he kept the conversation going; Mokuzai would be safe and would be able to keep somewhat of a cool attitude. He had no reason to be a smart ass for the moment, unless he got some urge to say something cruel to the older man.
There was no doubt that Mokuzai knew for a fact that this man could be something else in terms of power, and being a ninja. Tilting his head as he looked over the structure of this man, Mokuzai pointed towards the head band that rested on his right temple. “Taigakure, heard of it? Hidden Waterfall, or whatever I think. It’s not the best, but I wouldn’t know. I haven’t been there for a few years. I refuse to go back.” He didn’t really care if this man thought he was a little too talkative. Mokuzai liked meeting new people and asking random things so he can find an interest to base a conversation off of. It was only common for him to do so, and if he didn’t even try to find some old topic; then Mokuzai would have to resort to asking about the leaf.
He didn’t know if this man came from there, or remained out here. Stating that this was indeed his home, it would only make sense that he would remain out here, right? “So, what’s with the get up?” He pointed at the cloth and mask that covered the man’s features. His finger traced the outline of the mask while he squinted his eyes; even though he was a good distance away, it was a fun game that he had so that he could keep busy.
His hands had to be moving constantly when he was talking, or at least moving with his mouth. It was a habit that he has always had and there was not time to break such a thing. It added emphasis on details, and made his speaking that much dynamic. Even if people chose to ignore him, there would be times where he would raise the volume of his voice just so that they can get their attention back on him. In all easy senses, he was an attention whore, and he knew this. It wasn’t that big of a deal to him at all; just wanting attention because you were not given it as a child was ok in his mind. Running his hand through his black hair, Mokuzai took off his forehead protector, placing it in on the inside pocket of his coat.
There was no need for it anymore for this current conversation; it already made it’s point. “If you don’t give me a name, I’m just going to call you Salt. It fits because of your hair color. Or Snow. Snow would be a cool nickname to give someone. Fuck, I might give it to myself.” |

"Ask yourself the following question, "If he was a member of the Special Ops, would I still be breathing?". To answer it for you, no, I am not of the special ops, I am just a shinobi and a hermit, use what title you'd want, it makes no difference.". His answer had been simple and to the point, being pretty straight forward about not being a member of any special ops forces, though one could consider the protective service unit to be a part of the special forces, or the special forces to be a part of the protective service unit. It was really just a case of the beholder viewing it as one or the other, Yoroi personally never cared enough to figure out what was really the case. All he knew was that his sister was in charge of the entire division, that was all he really needed to know. Despite the darkness, Yoroi had managed to see all of the young man's features in terms of face and clothing, still believing that this guy was a descendant of the Senju clan. Asking more about him and his background, he wondered if the guy would be willing to share more about himself with the young Sennin. Most people would not be that open about their clan, though most people would get a punch to the throat for lying to him.
Tilting his head to the side a bit when he started telling him about how he was technically a Senju but had not met one of them up to this point yet, he wondered what he meant when he said it. If one asked Yoroi about his Kaguya heritage, he would also say that he was not a member of the clan, but was a Kaguya by blood. Maybe what he meant was similar to that, though Yoroi did not really feel like this was the point the Nukenin, Mokuzai, had tried to make. It seemed more like he was trying to say that he was a Senju in terms of appearance or powers, yet not belonging to the clan itself. Even that explanation, while vague, seemed like it was not accurate enough to be the right answer. Though the thought of him being some sort of artificially made human went through his mind for a moment, it seemed way too far fetched to be true. On the other hand, people had managed to create undead beings that fought almost as well as they did when they were alive, even implanting things that were not theirs when they were alive, so he figured it would be possible, yet still far fetched and hard to believe.
"I have heard of the Hidden Waterfall before, yes, though I am not very familiar with the layout of the village or it's agenda. I reckon they're all very different from those of Konoha, being a lesser nation and all.", Yoroi said, pondering on the hidden village that had just been brought to his attention. Whether it had been a problematic village that inspired people to run away or simply go out on a mission and not return, he had no real knowledge of the place. Regardless, the Hidden Waterfall was neither an ally nor an enemy of the Hidden Leaf, so he did not really care much for that subject. Not responding to the question about his clothing, it was something Yoroi chose to wear when not dealing with people from his village. In case people were watching, he'd rather be considered as another criminal than to be tied in with Missing Ninja. Though he did not hate nor loathe those that had chosen to leave their respective village, others were not as forgiven as he was. If people did see him talk to this kid, no matter how small the chance, people might doubt his allegiance, something he could not allow.
"Salt, Snow, both work for me. Most people go by the mask and call me Kitsune, so it's up to you which name you'd want to use. To answer your earlier question, I am quite well aware of what is going on inside of the Hidden Leaf village. That aside, I have answered some of your questions, so it's about time you answered mine. What did you mean when you said you were "Technically a Senju". Does that mean you're a Senju or not.", Yoroi answered while asking him about his background yet again. Yoroi's interest had been sparked up a bit, so if the guy was honest with Yoroi, he could find Yoroi to be a rather nice person. If he chose to make up some stupid story, he would not. No one liked being lied to, though Yoroi straight up hated it when people lied to his face, not being so nice as to just ignore it and move straight to kicking someone in the face for it. Whether it was to be an actual kick in the face or a verbal one, most people would no longer like him once he got pissed.

| Your blood must look amazing Mokuzai simply shrugged his shoulders once he heard that this man was not of the special ops. “I’ve met one man that was of the special ops that didn’t even try to take me out knowing I was a missing-nin. It was just a mere question, but you do prove a point.” He liked how this guy talked albeit short and to the point; he didn’t hear any hesitation in his voice to get his words out. The tone of the words and the body language that he could read showed that this little old hermit didn’t mean any harm at all to Mokuzai. This allowed him to relax and actually develop a decent conversation. He played with his fingers for a bit while he thought about which nickname to use with this newcomer. He could actually just make up new ones on the spot, and they would more than likely start to edge on an agitated feeling into this stranger. If they did, Mokuzai would quickly change the subject to get their minds active and moving at all times. He didn’t like to stay on one subject of a conversation at a time. It got really boring and when he got bored, Moku would do drastic things to keep things a little interesting. Not knowing even the appearance of this man in front of him bugged the hell out of his mind. At least a look at his eyes would be able to calm things.
“You may not even believe me if I told you what I mean by being ‘technically’ Senju.” He laughed softly. How would he expect a stranger he just met seconds ago to believe that he was artificially forced to be something that he knows nothing about? Placing his finger tip on his lip, he pulled down his lower flesh to bare his teeth while he thought about what to say and how to say it. It wasn’t often that he got to talk about his past, and he mostly chose to ignore it. There was nothing that he could do to change it; there was no reason to dwell on it. Chewing on his inner cheek, Mokuzai rolled his eyes from looking at the man to the ground, kicking his boot through some water, splashing it up on his pants and stopping his movements. “You see. The headband is no lie; I am from Taigakure.” With his words, his hands followed his details. Talking about his head band, he patted the inside of his jacket, still looking at the ground. “I have two memories that stalemate each other. One of being happy with a father and a loving life. The other I’m inside a glass container with white coats everywhere.”
His hands went to his head quickly, gripping on his hair before shaking his head violently. “I don’t know which one to believe. I haven’t seen the man that is in my memories, I don’t even know if he really exists or if it’s just a play on what I’ve seen.” Little breaths escaped past his lips once he started to think about the memoies being played with. “I’ m not even sure if my name is Mokuzai. It was on my papers in the lab.” He looked over towards the man. “It’s not a pity story. I do not expect you to feel bad for me, nor do I expect you to believe me. I’m just telling you what I know, and what I can figure out.” His fingers traced the placement of veins in his arms up to his heart. Stopping just underneath his left pectoral; patting on the cloth that covered his skin.
“I am able to use Mokuton that is no secret. As you stated before; I do like Suiton as well. I have the appearance of Senju members, at least one of the more original less tainted blood. The black hair, brown eyes. It could be seen from a mile away. My wood however, is not brown.” He shook his head and played with the fur that covered the hut. “It’s black. I don’t know how it changed to be like that, as it has always been like that.” Licking his lips slightly, the pain in the base of his neck came back from earlier, causing his body to tense up slightly.
“I originally came here to see if I could find history of Senju members, and what made them so grand. Mokuton is basically life energy converted into ninjutsu, correct?” He didn’t know, maybe this Salt guy did? It wouldn’t hurt to ask. “To sum it up. I have no idea what I am.” He opened up his arms to his side, smiling brightly before dropping his arms to his pockets, looking at the ground. “I don’t know if I’ll ever figure out, but who cares? I can use Mokuton whenever I want. I don’t have to know everything about Senju to get through life. I’m already prideful in my abilities. I don’t need to be associated with a clan.” Rolling his shoulders around in their sockets, Mokuzai tilted his head at the man and pointed at his mask. “I kind of want one to hide my features. It looks pretty nifty if I don’t say so myself. Do you mind if you remove it so I can at least see your face, Salt? As long as you remain calm, I will remain calm as well.”
"If you're wondering why I am missing-nin. I don't like having strings attached to something so that I have to limit myself. I have desire to protect, or defend. I have myself to worry about before others. You have to know your own strengths before you use them to help others, right? I guess. I don't know. I was never shown what to believe haha" |

Though the thought itself had slipped through his young mind, he had never believed it if the kid in front of him had not explained it to him in such colorful statements. To think that medical ninjutsu and science had gotten to the point where they could basically create a living being was quite a hard pill to swallow, though it was not beyond him entirely. When given the right tools, certain people could do almost everything they wanted within their field of expertise. Yoroi wanted to become one of those people ever since he was still a young boy wandering through the wilds, completely new to the concept of Ninjutsu. Ever since he became a Shinobi three years ago, in his few years, he had managed to rise to a point most Shinobi would not even live to see, created powerful Ninjutsu of his own and become a respected and feared fighter. Respect and Fear both meant a lot to him, for both could keep people from turning against his village. While one was usually linked to negativity, Yoroi did not see fear as a necessarily bad thing. Combined with the respect he gained, most people would know better than to challenge or oppose him.
"The Senju are by far one of the most well known clans in the entire world, known for their power and their life force, though you probably already know about that. Within the village, many believe that the Senju, one of the founding clans of Konohagakure were responsible for creating the foundation of this village, the forests around it and the modern systems we use and take for granted as Shinobi. Though the Uchiha and Hyuuga, as well as the Akimichi and Nara have also made massive contributions to the rules and systems, the Senju laid out most of the ground work and most of what you see when you look at the village. The massive walls, the buildings, they are the legacy of your clan, a product of unity", Yoroi answered. The knowledge he had on the various clans of Konohagakure was not particularly massive, though he had made it his job to know about the clans and their abilities so that he could aid them when help was needed, or destroy them when they turned against him. Though people always claimed that knowledge was power, they were quite wrong. Knowledge would always be knowledge, it would grant no additional power to those who were weak. However, those that were already strong would only get stronger by it.
"Some other time, for now, i'll keep things the way things are. You'd have to forgive my carefulness, if the wrong people figure out who I am, I would have to kill them, and I do not feel like spilling any blood, I never do.", Yoroi explained, answering as to why he would not be removing his mask any time soon. For him, it was the bridge between being a Shinobi from the leaf and being a wanderer that had no real name outside of nicknames he had been given. Kitsune was one of the most used ones, his mask serving as the foundation for the name. Now, he had even been called Salt and Snow due to his white hair, which was a feature that was not all that unique in the world of Shinobi. Several clans were known to have it as a genetic trait, his being no different, for it set those of his clan that possessed the Shikotsumyaku apart from those that did not. After a while, Yoroi had answered his way through most of the questions that were fired at him, though it seemed like more and more just kept stacking unto the growing pile without end. When the kid told him about his reasons for being a Nukenin, Yoroi frowned behind the mask, wondering if the kid was serious about this or just making a rather stupid joke.
"As for you being a Nukenin, I can understand that you'd want the freedom to move around, though it is not at all like you say it is. As you know, I have been around this place long enough to know my stuff, though that does not beat being an active member of a community. The years I spent inside of my village is the exact reason why I managed to become as strong as I am now. Ties are the thing that made me strong, that made me want to keep getting stronger so that I could protect my home from those who would see it destroyed. I've been alone long enough to know my strength, though it was the village that made me stronger, and that's why I believe your views on the matter are wrong.". Replying to the young Nukenin, not a single word had been made up. Yoroi loved his sister, and because she loved the village, he had gotten attached to it as well. Him becoming a Sennin had been because he wanted to protect those close to him and his home along with it. For him, being a member of a village had not crippled him in the slightest, though it had taken him a year or two to get used to all the rules and etiquette the wilderness did not have.

| Your blood must look amazing This man was starting to show that he was something else after all. Not even making a single hostile movement towards Mokuzai really let his nerves calm down. Not a lot of people, outside of Tenshi would even come near him once they saw the marking on his headband. This is one of the various reasons why he sometimes ‘forgot’ to wear his when venturing around various countries. People were more than likely take his word over a physical thing that he usually plays off as lost. It was just a nice feeling to carry this conversation and still keep this distance. Even if this Salt individual still kept his mask on, it was a respectable request that Mokuzai could follow for the time being. He understood the feeling of wanting to keep features hidden and for people to not know what and who he looks like. Once they can see his appearance, and have a basic knowledge of some of the more common clans, they could easily have their way in combat. It’s one of the reasons why he tried everything he could do to at least somewhat alter his appearance with dyes and contact lenses. If he could get blue eyes, that would allow him to mess around with his appearance and confuse people once he did wind up using Mokuton in combat.
“I know nothing of the clans that reside in the fire country. I only know some of the capabilities of Senju, some of Yamanaka; You’d be surprised that the self proclaimed king of Kirigakure was Yamanaka. A weird one at that. Do you happen to know a man by the name of Inoshi?” He tilted his head while he asked the question. He didn’t expect the man to know, but with the various knowledge that he showed him thus far, it didn’t hurt to ask did it? Maybe he knew a weakness of this man that he could exploit. Mokuzai didn’t care much for Inoshi, but from how he acted around him; it was going to be easy to infiltrate Kirigakure when he needed to. “I can find other motives that will push me to become more powerful than I already am. A family, or loved ones that need protection is not the only way to get a push for power.” He clenched his jaw tightly. Mokuzai didn’t really care for getting told his way of life was pathetic or waste of time. Sure this man did suggest another way to get power, but that is just not how Mokuzai functioned with training.
Leaning his back up against the post of the hut, he yawned slowly, pressed the palm of his hand against his lips; covering the hot air that came from his throat. “Salt, tell me. Do you make deals with Nukenin? More so a contract, but it has a good cause, I promise.” His brown pools turned towards the man in the mask for a few seconds before scoffing lightly. “You see, I work for Inoshi.” He brought up his fingers to do air quotations when ‘work’ escaped past his lips. “I only do it so I can have a place to go to when I’m in need of shelter, and I can get some information on Kirigakure. I would love to be able to spill this kind of information for knowledge and other things.” In the back of his mind, Mokuzai thought that if this man agreed with this deal, it was like signing a contract with the devil. Nothing could prepare him for the offer that he was about to make.
“I want more knowledge on Senju, and I would like to meet at least one clansmember in person. No hostility, just a good ole’ chat. You could even watch! I want to see what one from the leaf would act like in a conversation. I just want to figure out what I am. In exchange, I’ll tell you of the Mizukages motives that you could pass onto the lowly Hokage.” He shrugged, turning his chest towards the man. “ That seems like a decent deal, does it not? Knowledge for knowledge. You even get to control what I know, as do I. You have no idea what Kirigakure is getting ready for, and it would be nice to get this stuff off of my chest eventually.” His tongue pierced by his lips, licking the corner lightly before retreating back into his mouth. This whole adventure through the fire country just got a lot more interesting. He could have a information broker if this deal went through. Fire country and Water country information that went through his ears could finally be spilled for more information.
“Or an outfit like that would be nice too. You can choose what you offer; it doesn’t really matter to be honest. I just want to be a rat and spill things that I’m not supposed to. The rush I get from doing that is really something else. You should give it a try!” he bounced off the post, jumping into a puddle and splashing it on his pants and in the surrounding mud. Spinning around in the water, Mokuzai smiled softly while he heard the water moving around underneath him. Something was so calming about this, and he still couldn’t figure out why. “So, is it a deal, Snow?” |

| Fucking hell.
Another coded post went completely to hell and it's fucking up the story entirely. If pieces of a topic keep disappearing from the bloody site, I am not going to waste time and effort on my topics anymore.
Summary: 1.) Yoroi told him that gaining power for the sake of getting stronger as an individual was worth less than becoming stronger for someone else, claiming it was the only legitimate reason one should have for wanting to get stronger.
2.) After soaking in some of the information he has been given, he tells the young man that him allowing the Nukenin to walk around and get away with sleeping in his house after trespassing had been a kindness that could easily be withdrawn if he felt like he was being lied to.
3.) Told him to give Yoroi the information he had. After that, he could decide whether or not he would allow him to get a reward for it or not.

| Your blood must look amazing “You don’t get it. I have no family. I have nothing but the knowledge of being a contractor. I can act pretty well if I don’t say so myself. People run once they see the symbol that would lie on my forehead. They run once they figure out my face; if I have even made it in the Bingo book by now. I don’t know where I’m going, nor do I want to know. You can preach to me about having a family to keep power, or a reason to get power, but from what I see; the only reason I want power is to prove people wrong. I want to see their face when I stand up in front of them, and they underestimate me. I hate that the most.” He gritted his teeth just at the thought of being underestimated. Yeah, he might have been a little cockier than he needed to be but, that didn’t mean that someone of equal or less power should underestimate him. “Would it be bad not to be missed though? I don’t aim to go into history as a ninja for doing something drastic, or good. Not being missed just saves people from not having emotional attachments to things. I don’t do that. I don’t get attached to people. Once you make a bond, it’s a weakness.” He shrugged at the thought of being bonded to someone. If it came to saving someone he was attached to, or finishing a mission at hand, he would finish the mission.
People like that only slowed him down and he didn’t care for it. He would choose to leave people once he started to feel that kind of bond form. A friendship was much more different than a family relation. At least you could choose the people that you got stuck with, right?
Taking a few steps closer to the man, Mokuzai looked over behind him just in case he could look for even the slightest movement. “Who is to say the information I will be telling you is true? I don’t even know if it’s true. I just pick it up from conversations and link things together. How will I know how you act on the information you tell me? How will I know that you won’t turn me in the moment I walk through the gates of the great leaf village?” Every action and thought had a consequence that would not work for either Salt, and Mokuzai. He could easily be captured and took in custody to get interrogated for all and any information he knew. He was not about to take that chance at all. “What I am saying is; Why should you trust me, and why should I trust you? How do I even know if you’re not from there. You refuse to show me your face; that in my books is a red flag.” He shrugged his shoulders before turning his back to the man. “I may be a teenager, but I know how to work a little business deal.”
A large smirk started to tug at the features of Mokuzai. The threat made his body tense up, only in the best way possible however. “I don’t even get anything right now if I choose to give you the information I know. What if I’m in the process of finding things out from the man his self? Stuff like that takes time; I was only making the offer as a future deal and event.” He tilted his head for a few seconds before hopping from puddle to puddle. The water sounds underneath his boots soothe his anxious feeling slowly. “I do appreciate you not taking me in, but I still have a hard grasp on why you did not do it. I thought leaf ninja followed strict code for being a shinobi? Oh, oh. I forgot. You said you’re not a ninja from the leaf. Excuse my words.” The mocking tone in his voice was only for play. If he was going to work under someone, he might as well try to figure out what makes them tick, and what makes them gracious. It wasn’t common for Mokuzai to make deals with complete strangers. It was even more uncommon for him to make a deal with someone when he didn’t know their name, or their facial features.
“Will you not even show me a hint? Or at least your first name. I don’t care much for last names. They can change after time. First names are a little more special to me.” He crossed his foot over the opposite while he sat on a nearby tree trunk. “I am not a threat to anyone at the moment. I have no motive to cause harm to a major village or people that don’t ask for it. However. If I do take a contract that does have me wipe out a minor village, I will take it and I have done it. Since we’re being honest here, I thought I would share this so you can get to know the kind of person I am, or at least turning into. If we’re going to be business partners, it’s important that we get to know each other. I was about to leave once the rain stopped anyway, so I have a few minutes to spar.”

"It's like I told you before, if I wanted that information you had and you'd refuse to hand it out, I can take you down in a moment and you won't even know what hit you. And you are the one who doesn't get it, kid. You say you don't have a family, well neither do I. I may be alone, though I have people in the village that I don't want to see in pain, that's all there is to it. I am not "Preaching" to you, I am answering the questions you yourself asked me, so you might want to settle down a bit before I lose my cool", Yoroi said, his white aura of chakra leaking out of his body like blood seeped from the dying. His aura was one of authority, a dense and bright light in the darkness that had forced many into submission when they were getting out of line. It was one of the reasons why people feared and respected him inside of the village after all. Being more contained than he was at other times, he did not show the young man what made his chakra all the more unique, letting his chakra die back down once he figured that the young Nukenin had seen enough of it. Letting a sigh escape his lips, he hoped that the kid would have learned to settle himself down a bit.
His chakra was among the largest in the entire shinobi world, so there was no way that the kid hadn't seen or felt it. Taking a deep breath, he cooled himself down to his normal composure. The things this young man said were rather bothersome to him, for he had been jumping to conclusions way too easily, just like he did when he claimed that Yoroi was not a lead shinobi but might be in disguise, something he was. "You assumed that I was not from Konoha because I live out here and I am not a member of the special ops, though I have never once said that I am or am not a Leaf shinobi. Besides, it's like you said, you're a teenager, you don't know how to work out a business deal and you assume too many things from what you think you've heard.". Teenagers had no place in making any business deals, not a single one of them did. Even though he was just a bit older than the average teenager by now, he knew that their mindset was generally way too rash and untrained to work anything out, something this kid had just shown him, backing up his thoughts on the matter.
"You don't have to trust me, I never once asked you to. I don't trust you either because I don't even know you, I just know that I can rip your head off with one hand if you choose to double-cross me. All I know is that you said you would have information for me, so I would like it if you would spill the beans already, because you're starting to piss me off, and that's not something you should be doing.", he said in response. All of his jumping from one subject to the other was starting to get on his nerves. First he claimed that he had information and did not really want a lot from him, yet now he started talking in a manner that made it seem like the information that he had was just a load of crap and made up stories. Yoroi wanted solid things, he wanted facts, not the ramblings of a teenager who thought he had what it took to rule the world's citizens through fear. He even went on to claim that he was not a threat to anyone yet because he would not be targeting any of the major villages, but if he got paid to take down a lesser village, he would most likely do so. To think that the kid had such poor insight as to attack a small village for money was saddening.
While the minor villages were not their enemies but in most cases their allies for the sake of trade, the place being attacked would mean someone would be sent in to stop attackers or get revenge. Though he was not a member of the special ops, he was a member of the Protective service unit, so he would still be called in when their allies got besieged. When he said that he saw the two of them becoming business partners, Yoroi just grinned, his grin growing even larger when he said that he might even have time for a spar. It seemed that he believed that they were equals, leaving it up to Yoroi to show him just how wrong he was. "If you really want to fight, i'll show you just how inferior you are. Maybe that will make you settle down a bit. Who knows, if you pay attention and don't blink, you might be able to learn a bit about me. Now, show me some of that black Mokuton you spoke of.", Yoroi said while locking his eyes on his acquired target. The moment the kid attacked, he would counter it and take care of the problem right away.

| Your blood must look amazing Looking over the man that literally dripped chakra, Mokuzai eed the white aura that branched off this strangers body. “Salt really does fit you, you know.” His body actually started to shake. This was much, much more dense than the Yamanaka aura from weeks before. Something cruel, yet soothing and powerful emited from this man; Mokuzai had felt nothing like this before. It was amazing! The rush that he felt from just being near this man was knee shaking worthy! “From you not denying you’re from the leaf village just means you are. It’s ok to say so.” He shrugged, gripping the side of the trunk trying to calm his body down. Even he knew that this man was a lot more than he could handle, but this whole sense of feeling the power that Salt had.. it made him crave to see it in action. “The Mizukage is a genjutsu expert; he can sway you to feel anything you want. He didn’t attack me when I was making my way to the village. I got lost in the mist and he personally came out to see me. I wouldn’t dare go to his turf; he has multiple sensor ninja scattered in the entrance of the village.” Mokuzai let out a slow breath once Salt started to let the aura settle down slowly. Even though the chakra was gone; his body still shook from the showing of power.
He knew he had nothing like that to show. No aura of chakra, but he did request for him to show the mokuton. “If you wish. I’ll just let it form around the fire pit you don’t mind. You can use it for fire wood whenever you come out here.” Walking nearby the fire pit, Mokuzai took in a deep breath and placed his hands in front of his chest. From there, his fingers and hand changed position as he focused his view on the fire pit. Holding out both of his arms, Mokuzai calmly mouthed the jutsu “Mokuton: Semaijurin no Jutsu” Once the final letter went past his lips, black wood spikes formed out from Mokuzai’s arms, shooting down into the fire pit and straight into the ground. Rolling his shoulders, Mokuzai tilted his head back towards the stranger, smirking widely.
“See. Black as the sky.” Breaking his arms off the Mokuton, he slowly tilted his head and pointed towards Salt’s arms. “You’re a lot more powerful than you’re giving out to be. Your chakra said it all. The way you released it made me shake, and I never shake. Once I get to your level; I want a chance to take you on as equals. Who knows, I could still be better than you. I might even create a new release!” He jumped up and down, clapping his hands for a few moments before looking behind the man at the woods. “I don’t come here often. When I do, I’ll drop a deadrop here. Mostly meet you in person though.” He went towards his wood, leaning on it for a few seconds.
“The Mizukage must be something else. I got his features as well. Blonde hair, young face. He may not that much older than you; maybe even older. His voice carried no emotion, as did his face. Just watch him and Kirigakure strictly. I don’t know the relationship between Konoha, and the mist; but if you want to protect your people.” He took in a sigh and leaned his back on the wood, looking up at the stars. “Watch for anyone from the Mist coming to your village for a visit. Treat them with respect, but keep on them. Don’t let them be alone for too long.” Playing with his coat zipper, Mokuzai let a small hum pass his lips before quickly standing back up. “That’s all that I know of currently. The mist has been acting strange since I’ve been there. They could be planning war, or they could be planning sabotage. Take it as you will.” Turning back to face Salt, Mokuzai rubbed the back of his neck for a few seconds while eyeing this figure. Not knowing a name really, really bothered him. He must have some sort of title. “I’ve done my end of the bargain. I’ve kept my word like you asked me to in the most polite way.”
He was starting to doubt that this man would actually follow his words. He didn’t care if he didn’t meant another Senju, nor did he care about any other information that this man did and could have. He just wanted something so that he could rest the feeling of being used from his mind and body. There was no doubt that this man could easily pick Mokuzai apart without even blinking. He showed that the moment his aura came from his body. Mokuzai was actually being careful about the way he acted and chose words that fitted the situation. He didn’t respect the man to use titles; he didn’t even know his god forsaken name! If he was going to do anything; it was going to be calming down to keep this conversation going where it needed to, or leave. It was either those two options. He didn't mind that he had to wait a few more moments before he would actually move on.
He liked the company, even if it was an intimidating stranger in a cloak and mask.

| Yoroi Kaguya | | |
As it turned out, the kid rapidly withdrew his offer for a spar when he saw that Yoroi would actually get into one to prove his strength. Yoroi knew that as it was now, there would not be a single Shinobi in the fire country who could beat him, not a single one. Going by the fact that he shook this much when he witnessed his chakra rising from his body, he could not blame him for retracting his offer. Fighting those beyond one's comprehension would always result in death or disfigurement of some kind, though the fact that one would lose against him was as certain as fire being hot. Claiming that the name Salt truly did fit him, he just frowned at him from behind the mask, wondering what he meant when he said it. Following this was another claim, stating that in not denying that he was a Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf, that just meant that he was one. Sighing deeply at the young Nukenin, it seemed a bit hard to believe that he would still make assumptions so very easily. "So if I were to deny that I am a woman, that makes me a woman by default? If I were to deny that I were a Senju, a Nara and an Uchiha, does that mean I am all those by default? You are too quick in jumping to assumptions and basing your conclusions on them.", Yoroi stated, finding it to be a rather annoying personality trait of his. He would have to learn to push this out of his system, learning how to base his assumptions on things that have been stating, using solid facts.
When the explanation came, he listened closely, memorizing every single thing he said, just in case it turned out to be useful in the future. Everything he was told, he would never be able to forget, this being the way his brain functioned. Claiming that this Mizukage was a Genjutsu expert that could make people feel any way he wanted, Yoroi did not exactly fear him over it. People who relied solely on a mastery over a cowards way of combat did not deserve the rank of Kage, for they were nothing special. Telling him that he had several Sensor Ninja near the walls of the village, he stated that he would not dare to go near the place. This in itself sounded a bit silly, for every village had similar defenses in place, some, like Konohagakure, had Sensory barriers set up from one wall to the other, covering the entire village like a dome. To think that a Kage personally came out of the village to see to a Nukenin told him that his people were either untrustworthy or simply lacked the power to deal with a small threat such as Mokuzai. All together, Yoroi was not the least bit impressed with this whole Mizukage and Kirigakure ordeal. Continuing by telling him exactly what he looked like, it seemed that most Yamanaka shared the same features, knowing a young girl who was like a sister to him that had the same blonde hair and young features. Stating that he did not know what the relationship between Kirigakure and Konohagakure was, he believed that Yoroi should be careful when dealing with people from that place.
"I thank you for this information, though I do not feel the need to fear these people. Those skilled in Genjutsu are generally cowards with a god complex because they can play with one's senses and emotions, yet they can't do anything when they are engaged in true combat. If they are indeed preparing for war, I hope they bring a shovel so they may dig their own graves.", Yoroi said at a bored tone. If a place like the Hidden Mist truly was preparing for war, he wanted to see the kind of army they managed to set up. It had been a long time since Yoroi had seen any real opposition, most of his enemies being far beneath his level of skill. There was not much doubt about it in his mind that Yoroi was one of the most powerful Shinobi in the entire world, seeing as he and Kimiko were the strongest of the Hidden Leaf and the fire country, the largest country and hidden village in the entire shinobi world. That in itself meant something, it meant that he was not just another guy who believed himself to be unable to die, it meant that he was in fact one of the most powerful fighters. With his Shikotsumyaku, his elemental natures and his rather diverse combat specialties, he was one of the most complete fighters as well, having various tactics and techniques he could apply in order to ensure his victory. When he had something left to protect in his life, he would not lose to anyone, no matter how strong they might be. He promised himself that he would keep Kimiko safe, and that was exactly what he was going to do.
What was slightly interesting was the fact that his Mokuton was indeed black, thinking that this was perhaps some sort of input from the people that made him in the lab that he was born. Wondering why this kid was even remotely interested in continuing his conversation with Yoroi, he claimed that he would be leaving dead-drops for him in this location in the future, no doubt containing more information. So far, Yoroi had acted quite annoyed, yet he still kept his composure. Maybe the kid was not as dark as he believed himself to be, something that was often the case with a lot of people who had left their village to become Missing Ninja. No matter how one looked at it, the kid had done his fair share of the bargain, so now Yoroi would see what he could do for him. "Alright, i'll see what I can do. Come.". With that out of the way, he started walking towards the village, figuring the kid would follow him. "I'll see to it that you get in, but if you do anything, I will personally put you behind bars.", Yoroi said, making sure he would not get out of line.

| center>Your blood must look amazing Mokuzai shrugged his shoulders slightly once the masked man turned his back and started to walk towards the village. He actually couldn’t believe that he was going to get invited into the village itself. “I do not think I will be following you just yet to the village. I don’t trust you enough so that you won’t turn me in. If you don’t mind, good sir, I will remain in the forest. I’m sure you can track me done, or I will track you down from sensing you. I’m getting mighty fine with that sort of skill.” He wasn’t trying to sound rude or threatening towards the man. It was only respectable and understandable that he was too distrusting at the moment. He didn’t even know his real name. “On second thought; if you are serious. I will follow, but I will go straight towards Senju. I won’t go through any where else.”
Taking a few steps forward, Mokuzai followed the man towards the village; he would have to be cautious and keep up an act. He didn’t want to be his usual self in the village and get captured right off the bat. It would really ruin his ideas and most of his information would be forced out of him.
“Don’t screw me over.”
