...because the "Viewing Rights" one got locked. Despite an overwhelming vote for a change to the system, nothing really came of it.

And now I'm grumpy because I really like the sound of the Topic of the Month but cannot read it, because I don't have privileges that permit me to. Madness, I tell you!

Sophie, I did not know that the previous topic was locked, and I am a firm believer that everyone should be able to see everyone else's topcics should they choose too. There are really no real arguments for the system that we have now, other than that it's cool for the first week that you join the forum - beyond that, it becomes a hindrance.

Pleased to hear it, Zack! Do you know if the staff are planning to change things? I know it's a busy time of year so I'm not concerned with immediate results or anything. But it seems that this should be 'in the works' at least.

I've been wondering the same exact thing and have been waiting for this change. I don't know why the topic got locked and looked over, but I definitely think this is one thing that needs to change. Most of the members previously agreed to it in the last thread, so maybe it's time that this is followed through on.

On the other hand, everyone has been in favor of this, yet nothing has been done about it at all. Hell, all of staff AND the members wanted to see it happen, so the topic being locked or not makes no difference. This not happening is not my fault, so don't even shift the blame to me broski. Foxy asked nicely, yet people like you just want someone to blame.

Just do it already and stop finding scapegoats. The last guy who did that was Austrian and had a loveable haircut + Mustache, we all know who he blamed and how he ended up.

Vergil, get your head out of your ass. I did not blame you specifically for derailing the last topic, I used your post as an example of derailment.

That said, for being a whiny cunt"woe if me the system is out to get me" and trying to invoke Godwin's Law, I am locking this until Adamn actually gets off his arse and does something, because at the end of the day, we're all in agreement with this, and the only thing left is for Adamn to agree and go into the system to change the viewing rights.

Travis, I don't understand why this topic had to be locked? You're derailing it just as much by making a point of others derailing it, which places others on the defensive and kills the conversational topic. We do not lock topics, we solve them, and we only solve them once they've been resolved. Now, Sophie, I think you've gotten your answer, but yes, this topic has been brought up in the Staff Lounge, and is receiving heavy staff support currently until Adam manages to see it. Hopefully this should figure itself out and be handled, soon. Now, because there is not much more that can come from member contribution, since I think that we're all basically on the same page with this, I am going to solve this topic. Should someone have opposing views, and good points to counter what has been said here, or even just questions, feel free to PM me with such concerns and I'll get to them as soon as I possibly can.
