Highway To Hell [Travel] Vide
PostSubject: Highway To Hell [Travel] Highway To Hell [Travel] EmptyWed 25 Dec 2013, 12:52 am

Single footsteps could be heard through the dark streets as they hastily made their way towards the Hotel. It was a cold night, or colder than any she had seen lately—she was gone for quite a long time, after all. Her body had adjusted to warm temperatures, 34ºC and higher, being enclosed for far too long. That crazy old man had held her captive for god knows how long, the weather had turned from summer into winter. Konoha being a generally warm place, the difference wasn't all that visible, but still; her memories kept causing her pain. At any rate, the zoung female reached the hotel, her breath visible in the night as she walked up the dark stairs. It was a miracle how she hadn't collapsed yet. She had lost half her weight for sure, for she hadn't eaten in weeks. The Sanbi was screaming inside her, tearing at her soul and sanity, thinking it had found a weak time so it could finally break free. She breathed heavily, fighting back the monster with what little power she had left.

Cracking open the door of her room, she grabbed her bag and changed quickly clothes. In a matter of seconds she had scribbled down a note for Yoroi saying that she was leaving Konoha and that she was glad she had met him. She pinned it onto the mirror in the bedroom and proceeded to exit the room. Passing by her door she noticed an envelope stuck onto it with a knife which bore the symbol of Kirigakure. Her eyes narrowed. Had they noticed she was gone for so long? Why hadn't anybody come to check on her? She ripped it off and tore it open, quickly reading through the few lines which informed her of a new mission. “What the hell....another one? I'm on vacation dammit!” she sighed as she stuffed the letter into her pocket, and shut the door behind  her.

She walked through the city for the last time, most likely, for she wasn't coming back anytime soon. She had a lot of matters to sort out. The last mission was just exhausting. Ophelia still couldn't fully comprehend what had actually happened to her and for how long. It was hard for her to understand that people were actually cruel and out to get her. It felt like people were constantly out to get her, because of that thing inside her. Sometimes she hated herself for what she was, but she always made herself remember that it wasn't her fault and that the ones at fault would pay eventually. She would make them pay.

Nearing the gates of Konohagakure no Sato, the dim lights of streets lamps illuminated the wet way ahead of her. Her steps echoed through the silence, so loud it seemed they were going to tear the whole world down. Except inside her head. Her body revealed an anger so deep and long stored up, so she practically stumped the earth, but her mind? Oh, her mind was at peace. Well, Ophelia's definition of 'peace of mind' was slightly different from everybody else's. He mind was never really at peace according to others. Her mind was always racing, thinking, analyzing every little detail that might seem of little importance to anybody else. But not to her; after all, the devil's in the details, as they say. And Ophelia Uzumaki had a strong hold on the devil without any intention of letting him go.

The young female approached the gate guards, pulling out her papers to show them her exit. She wasn't wearing any identification so no one could really know that she was actually a Shinobi. The guard eyed her from head to toe before taking her papers while staring at her and the papers and then again at her. She wondered why he was looking at her like that, but quickly dismissed it as unimportant, for he soon enough revealed his thoughts to her. “Hey, aren't you the girl Yoroi brought in?” he asked, his hungry eyes staring at her with this intruding look every guard had. But it seemed more than that; it looked like he was actually grading her. Pondering the thought whether he should make a move on her or not. Not being in the mood for things like these, Ophelia caught on quickly and snapped the papers off his hands in a swift motion, while saying loud enough for him only to hear “Yes.” and started walking away. The guard looked at her, a bit confused but at the same time amused by her fierceness and strong personality (oh, if he only knew) and walked behind her. He wouldn't let go, it appeared. “Riight, how could I ever forget such a beautiful little thing..Leaving us so soon?” he continued. Ophelia rolled her eyes in annoyance, which the guard could not see for she had turned her back on him to leave. Why couldn't guys take the hints? Some were just so ignorant and full of themselves they thought they could hit on anything that moved. She continued walking away from him without answering, sure that he would just leave her alone if she didn't reply. But he wouldn't take that. “Hey! I'm talking to you!” he said, raising his voice a considerable amount. He grabbed her arm and held on tight, not letting her go. In a second she turned around with a kunai in her hand, slitting his throat in one swift motion, almost dance-like. She sighed. How could it come to this.

Looks like Ophelia Uzumaki was just tired of the world and all she wanted was to lie down and do nothing. Think nothing. Be nothing.

But she wouldn't. She couldn't. She had things to take care of, people to meet, truths to find. And she wouldn't accomplish that by simply lying down.

[End, off to Lightning Country]
